I purchased a dining room table that started peeling. I bought their protection plan (myprotectall). Both parties decided not to cover the claim. The Ashley's because they said water had spilled on the table and that water was not allowed on spill on it because water damages the table. The warranty company refused to cover it because I didn't have the date when I first saw the issue and they don't cover things if you don't report it within 30 days. DON'T BUY FURNITURE HERE. It's breaks right away and their protection plan is the worst. read more

I wish I could give 0 starts or even negative to this place and it's staff. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I am a student who works part time and decided to do something nice for my parents. I walked into Ashley's and Marshall was the person who helped me after hours I decided to buy. I was so happy that finally i did something nice and right, God didn't know I messed up big time! A week later they delivered the furniture and every piece of furniture was scratched due to unprofessional delivery team. The delivery asked for $20 in cash to move my old furniture! Can you believe that? That's called STEALING!!!!!! anyhow after 4-5 weeks going back and forth to change or repair my sofas I achieved NOTHING. I had 6 appointments for technician and and and later for exchange. Every single time they left!!!!!!!!!! Without even letting me know! CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT? i went back to store crying after 6 attempts, and talked to the manager Ariel! He couldn't get anything done!!! I REGRET MY DECISION SO BAD. I gave up after 5 weeks. I'm living with my scratched sofas. But let me tell you something! THEY ARE THE WORST. Respect your money and your time. Pay more for something that worth every penny of your money. AVOID ASHLEY HOMESTORE AT ANY COST. read more

These guys trick senior citizens into opening a genesis credit card to pay off their furniture. What they don't tell you is that after a year, Genesis starts charging 35% interest on the remaining bill and the interest that you saved throughout the whole year would be added to the bill. A $1200 balance due just became $2100 overnight. Do not signup for genesis credit and don't give this shady business any of your money. read more

Don't let Donna D. in the Northridge, CA store help you. She doesn't know her stuff and is very rude! I spent a lot of time in the store with her looking for a new sofa, love seat and chair. She started out by asking me to pull up pictures of the sets I had found online while she quickly ran to the bathroom. She was gone 20+ minutes! I had very specific questions that she should have known the answers to but she didn't and couldn't be bothered getting anyone to answer them for her. For example, one of the fabric's I was interested in was microfiber. I asked her several different ways how to tell what it was and where I could find the info on that item to verify and all she would do is touch it and tell me you can tell from how it feels. She showed me several that I knew darn well were not microfiber because I had already researched those online. It ended up a tossup between 2 sets and I told her I was going to think about it overnight and come back the next day. She gave me her business card and literally told me to contact her any time. Her card had a cell number on it and her hours. I texted her when her workday started telling her I found a better deal online but would buy from her if she could beat the price. Her reply called me by the wrong name but she said she would beat the price and also give me a $50 gift card. She asked me to reply "yes" to a text I was going to get to schedule an appointment with her. I never got that text and didn't hear back from her for an hour when she told me she found out she could meet but not beat the price. I replied asking if I would still get the $50 gift card. Her unprofessional and rude reply said she couldn't be on the phone all the time! I ended up going to the Canoga Park, CA store and met with Gaston H. who was absolutely wonderful and made me feel like I was the only person in the entire store. read more

PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! I have had the worst experience ever! I purchased a dining table and chairs to go along with it. I received my chairs about a week after I ordered them online. I received a message that I would have my table delivered about a week later. The day comes and I am excited to finally get my table. Nobody shows up or even bothered to call me to tell me they wouldn't deliver my table. I was at home waiting for the table for hours, I even left work early. I call the next day and they reschedule and the day comes and again no call no show, this happened 6 times!! 6!! I cancelled so many plans and left work early all 6 times just to be at home for when they delivered it. Oh and by the way their customer service is horrible they did not help at all, one of the representatives actually hung up on me. You won't believe how many times I had to call them, keep in mind the hold is about 30 minutes. The last time I called they finally told me that the table is backordered! Why didn't they tell me this in the first place instead of giving me a delivery date 6 different times. I still have not received my table and its been over a month now. I told them they had to compensate me for this and they only discounted $85 which is totally not fair after they did this to me 6 times. They still don't know when the table will be available but yet one of the representatives said they had a few in the warehouse, they all say they will call you back with further information and never do they just want to get rid of you. I purchased the chairs that go with this table that's the only reason why I'm still waiting. I will never shop here again please save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Let me begin by saying, I have vowed to NEVER step foot into another Ashley store after what I experienced with their previous furniture insurance company, Guardsman. In 2014, I bought the whole living room deal, couches, tables, rugs, decorations, and etc. The employee insisted we buy the insurance because the couches we bought were faux leather and when it starts to peel/bubble we can have the insurance come out and fix it. Deal! Sound really good to me so we bought it. A year later I noticed the leather started bubbling but nothing to big. Now in 2017, the bubbles have finally ripped and my couch looks like shit. So I called the insurance company, sent them all the pictures and documentation. They contacted me a week later and said we don't cover any of those damages...You can only imagine how pissed I was to buy $100 insurance for 5 years and just to be told they only cover parts and pieces but not the material ALTHOUGH my paperworks states they cover rips/bubbles/tears. So I had to contact Ashley's corporate and they offered me in-store credit because they don't make my couch anymore. We were in need of a TV stand so we went in to see what they had, very nice TV stands. The one with the fireplace and built in heater caught my attention. I met the manager Jose when he gave me the measurements of the stand then he introduced me to Daniel and told me if I purchase something with Daniel he'll give me $50 off. So, we ended up buying the fireplace and Daniel offered the insurance to me and I explained my story to him and why I was even in there and he told me they have a new insurance company and felt bad for me so he told Jose and Jose gave me the insurance for free to prove to me they changed and they were sorry for everything I went through. And that is what superb customer service looks like! I appreciate Jose for being an awesome manager and Daniel for taking his time walking around with us, actually caring about us as a consumers, and making sure I get the best deal possible. I don't live in Northridge but I would drive back to this location and make another purchase with Daniel! My delivery was scheduled for 2 days later, and they called before coming and everything was set up just fine. My stand arrived without damaged. Everything went perfectly. read more

Ashley Store - I love it! - Furniture Stores Near Me - Northridge, California

Worst customer service ever. Called customer service to talk about an issue we had with something we bought and they were so rude and had a terrible attitude. They told me to come in store, I come in store and all the customer service people were so rude! I talked to a young lady there and she told me I had to call customer service.... when an hour before I called and they told me to come in. The people who work on the floor to sell were really nice but those customer service people need to get some sort of training on how to greet customers and basic common courtesy. If you can't get along with people please don't work in a customer service job. Next time I will be going to a different furniture store, definitely don't recommend wasting your time and coming in here. read more

Omg, I had the best furniture experience here! I went in with my fiancé looking for a mattress and headboard. We had the pleasure of shopping with Edwin. He was so knowledgeable about the products. He never pressured us into making the purchase. We got a great deal with 34% off and $200 gift card to use for our headboard on the same purchase. We also purchased the mattress protector with cooling technology. For that they knocked off about 30%-40% off the delivery fee AND $150 in gift cards for future purchase! Thanks Edwin! **update** I had high hopes for Ashley's. Edwin failed to mention our bed frame was backorder. We spoke with the warehouse in Riverside who advise it would be another week. It's been 3 weeks and our bed just arrived. We requested for it to be assembled and called the warehouse the day before delivery to confirm the assemble portion and they assured it was noted. Upon arrival the delivery man advised that it was not noted on our account and they can't assemble it. The communication with Ashley's furniture store is unacceptable and poor business practice. read more

Came in to purchase a mattress for Black Friday. Was told if we purchased a Tempurpedic mattress we could get whatever bed-frame for free. We thought this was such a great deal. Went ahead and purchased our mattress and chose our bed-frame. Mattress was delivered in 1 week with a temporary metal frame as the bed-frame we choose was back ordered for 1 month. 1 month later still no bed frame. It's now FEBRUARY STILL NO BED-FRAME. My husband called in to see what was happening bed-frame was now backordered until the end of MARCH. My husband decided to go in store to speak with a manager and let's just say the STORE MANAGER needs help with customer service as he was being very unprofessional and sarcastic with my husband. We ended up choosing a different bed -frame because we wanted the headache over with. We wanted anything delivered right away. Today we get a call at 7:30am the delivery will be made in 30 minutes it's now 5 hours later and still nothing. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I wish we could return everything back but rather not deal with it! UPDATE: received our bed-frame for it to be infested with spiders. We have a two month old baby and there's spiders freaking all over !!!! Never again will I be purchasing from this place. read more

Top 5 reasons why I loathe Ashley's HomeStore: 1. The minute I walk in to this place I get bumrushed by pushy commission-hungry salesmen. Being attentive and helpful is good but there is a balance you should strive for without being too pushy. It's 100% clear they only care about making a sale (whether it's right for you or not) as they stalk you throughout the store. 2. I found an outdoor set that I rather liked and was urged to buy it because they were "on sale" at a very low price. Then the salesman goes through the whole song and dance scheme of getting the manager to come over to give an even lower price. They are really big on theatrics of this sort that may work on some people thinking they are getting an amazing deal. Long story short: they told me the set was $2500 but they knocked it down to $1300 due to the "manager's special" but afterwards I went online and found a similar set for $600. It seems they do the stereotypical raising of the price to "reduce" it to make you think you're getting an amazing deal when you are actually getting the regular price. 3. I ended up buying a couple chairs here that were "on sale" but 1 month passed and the chairs never came. I had to call them and ask them before they told me they were back ordered on that item for 4 months! If I hadn't called they never would have contacted me!! Anyways that got me looking and I found similar chairs online and they sold for the same price despite not being "on sale" like Ashely. More proof that they raise prices to pretend like they are reduced for you. What kind of company sells an item that is not only back ordered but they do not even tell the customer about the back order? 4. When I called to cancel my order with them they wouldn't do it over the phone. They make you go back in to their store to cancel a back ordered item. On top of that when I arrived in store and told them I wanted to return an item, the once pushy salesman then become aloof and absent. It seems they only want to help you when you're paying them a commission. 5. The dark haired lady at customer service who handled my return was terrible. I walk up to the counter and 3 ladies were just talking to each other while I stood there waiting. I tried being patient but after a minute I had to interrupt them in order for them to help me. The lady who handled my return took my info then asked me to sit down in the waiting area. WTF? How long does it take to do a return? I was the only customer there. So I waited. Then another customer strolls in and starts asking lady 2 some questions. My return lady then chimes in on her own and starts talking with the other customer, meanwhile I'm waiting. After a couple minutes I had to standup and loom over her before she went back to working on my return. Why don't you finish helping customers and let them move on with their day before you help customers that comes in afterwards? She has no respect for customers time. She was working 1/27/2019. These are the kind of people working in their CUSTOMER SERVICE of all places. TLDR: I was drawn in by the cheap prices but trust me you can find cheaper and better quality elsewhere. And on top of that their customer service is terrible. On the whole if you google reviews it seems they are pretty poor quality furniture as well. It seems Ashely is only excellent at marketing and selling a low quality product due to their multiple locAtions and misleading sales tactics that will work on individuals who are either too busy or unable to look around at other options. read more

I am so disappointed in my recent experience with Ashley Furniture. I purchased a sectional, a $6,000 sectional, about 2 years ago. The arm on the sectional is literally wearing off. I had purchased the extended warranty, at the assistance of the manager, and was told when I called it wasn't covered. The store sent out a tech and determined it was a manufacturing issue. I figured they would replace the arm and all would be good...never that easy! The sectional has been "discontinued" and there was nothing they could do. They gave us a credit of under $200, which is 10% of the purchase of THAT piece. Bottom line...that covers that piece...what about the $6,000 couch that looks like crap because of the arm? They should have made it right. If they discontinued furniture every few years what good is the warranty? We recently purchased a dining room set for over $2,500. This was prior to getting the results of the "tech visit". I won't purchase from Ashley again. I am getting ready to purchase quite a bit of outdoor furniture for a remodeled patio space and needless to say...I won't be buying it from Ashley Furniture. read more

I WISH I CHECKED YELP FIRST!!! This place has HORRIBLE custom service!!! After dropping$4500 on a living room set. They delivered the wrong set . So I went to the store to ask for a replacement... first they said NO we cannot make an exchange... ah hold up YOU DELIVERED the wrong furniture. So after two hours of wasting life in this store they finally agreed to exchange it. Have you seen the Pop Copy episode on The Dave Chappelle Show? That's what this place is like! I needed a small L-shaped couch for my incredibly small living room and Ashely happened to have one that was the right size. Trust me, I tried looking elsewhere. Maybe I should have looked harder. They should play the theme from "Jaws" when you walk into this place. From the first minute you walk in the door, a salesperson will follow you. Even if you tell them you're just looking, they will follow you. Maybe I'm Jesus? All I know is they follow you. If you look too long at an item, sit on an item, they are instantly schmoozing you. It was very, very uncomfortable. The sofa arrived on time, but the team that "assembled" it was rather brutal, tossing around pillows and scratching the hardwood floor. Not good. I've had the sofa for about four months now. The cushions are already losing their resilience and shape. The fabric is rippling. And I just found yesterday that a spring in the rear had come lose and is threatening to tear the fabric. So...cheap quality. read more

This was the worst service I endured in my life. Never again will I buy anything from this place! No matter what kind of deal they have! Horrible customer service and the gift card they give you for all your trouble is a gift card to ashleys so you have to spend it with them! Dont think twice about this place, runnnnn. If you dont believe me, just read my story. My wife and I were moving into a new place and we needed new furniture. We walked into ashleys and got a great deal for a California King mattress, and a Bedroom set. On the day of the delivery, who ever ashleys contracted with delivery service with, was horrible. The gentlemen didn't speak English, assembled the furniture outside and scratched it and then brought it in, and on top of that they didn't wear gloves when they put the mattress on the bed so we had their fingerprints all over the bed. I told them i am not going to sign the papers and to take everything back they stood their for 15 minutes and one guys just kept saying "sign boss". I was like are you kidding me. I called ashley's and with their superb customer service, tole me just sign the papers and we will replace the bed room furniture and mattress. It gets better!!! I signed the papers, and in about a week my replacement furniture came, it was delivered by another group but these guys seemed to know what they were doing. However the replacement set was in worse condition than the original. I called ashleys again, and informed that the furniture was sent back and they said that a technician will come out and fix the current bedroom set. When the technician arrived he informed us as a fyi that our bed is defective and that it is sinking but he couldn't fix it because he was here for the bedroom furniture only. So after a 4 weeks span having two mattress technicians and me having to keep calling ashleys customer service line, we are finally getting a new mattress. When it just cant get any worse, Ashleys called me and wanted to delivery my replacement mattress to my old address. WTF is wrong with this company!!!! read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Absolutely disappointed with the service. Service team extremely unhelpful. The store rarely answers the phone. When you leave a message to receive a call back- dont hold your breath. We were not informed our entire order would arrive separately. Walked in and was not greeted by anyone. At 539pm weekday, they have at least 8 sales on the floor and 4 behind the counter. I walked around and made contact with every sales person and no response to assist. I stood in front of the cashier area and no one acknowledge me. Interesting that this team did not provide minimal service in a very competitive retail industry- furniture. I hope management reads this and perform mystery shops. Ashley Store - Busy taking about personal stuff instead of taking care of a customer ready to spend big $$. - Furniture Stores Near Me - Northridge, California

Purchased a bedroom set from here and was told that everything was included for the bed that I ordered! I made it a point to continuously ask the seller this question so that there would be NO surprises. After everything is all signed and I'm getting ready to walk out the door, the seller tells me, "oh, by the way, you'll beed to purchase your own bunkie board for the bed." REALLY?! I kept asking if everything was included! Was extremely frustrating and very misleading, wont be purchasing here again. read more

So here we are 20 days later after several more promises to send out the check. The last promise was that it was being sent out UPS next day air on July 20th. Current status using the UPS tracking number from the UPS site that we were given by Ashley is that on 7/4 "order processed ready for UPS". This is just incredible that a business that represents itself as reputable has such business practices. If we don't see that the check has been shipped on Monday July 24th, I guess our next move is some sort of legal action to recover the money plus all of the time spent dealing with this issue that should never have occurred in the first place. My recommendation is that anyone reading this not do business with this company that treats its customers so shabbily. read more

Very low quality furniture, and what's worse is the service! They make all kinds of promises to get your business and once you make the purchase and pay, they are done with you. When you call for service, they make all kinds of excuses to brush you away, to give you the run around! The sofa that I purchased, sank in after 2 month, called the store, they told me to contact the customer service, called them, was given the run around, at the end nothing! Both the SEALY mattresses that I purchased, caved in about 2 inches in less than 9 months. At the time of purchase their sales associates insisted the mattresses are warrantied by Ashley for one year! Now their customer service is saying, it's misunderstanding! Contact SEALY they say! Never again! Open your eyes wide enough to see how they trick you, don't fall for their sweet talks! Star rating is 0000 if not negative! read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION OR COMPANY!!!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!! ALL THEY WANT IS THE MONEY AND DONT CARE FOR THE CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION!!! Horrible experience. Store manager refused to exchanged it. No customer service. The delivery people suck u into keeping the items you bought knowing that once you sign the paper you can't return or exchanged it. These people are crooks!!! First person didn't want to honor their online prices. Called the store and talked to another person who said they would. Went back to the store a few days later. Daniel was helping us out and pretty much tried to make us purchase additional things that should have came with the furniture. I called another local Ashley's furniture store and they told me the "extra parts" are unnecessary since the furniture comes with it. Brought this to Daniel's attention and he wouldn't budge. He told us to go to the other store. Oh, really?!?! I did and got in and out of that place in 10 minutes. Didn't have to purchase additional stuff. Nothing! Straight business and no nonsense! Plus the store at Burbank showed me why I didn't need the additional things and that the things Daniel claims we need doesn't make sense. I waited until I receive the furniture to prove my point about Daniel trying to rip us off. The foot board and side rails came today for my bed. Everything was included for the support, something Daniel said wouldn't be included. These people are only looking after their commission and it was really annoying that they would try to deceive buyers. All my future purchases will be at Burbank and NOT Northridge!!! The worst customer service ever, Every time we buy new furniture, we call Ashley's to send a carpenter because we discover a problem in the coffee table or the bed. In one year I called Ashley's two times for the drawers of the coffee table and one time for the bed. The most funny and pathetic part is : when I called Ashley's to tell them about a problem I am having with a dresser, their answer was that: "we apologize sir, but the warranty has exceeded one year, so we can't do anything for you, Have a good day". I even offered to pay for the maintenance technician but even thought they said : No sir we can't, go to google and find a carpenter online. If you are making a large purchase ($1,000 or more), be prepared to be at the store for at least two hours. There are a lot of details that you will be required to address. It is sort of like a mini version of buying a car in terms of the paperwork, extras, insurance, and time spent. But unlike buying a car, the sales reps are nice, professional, and helpful. I will not upgrade my star rating because my Ashley HomeStore experience still is a nightmare. Below is an update on the 2 primary issues with my Ashley Homestore purchase. First issue with the damaged Up Foundation: Ashley HomeStore Headquarters in Wisconsin assigned David Valdivieso (SoCal Division Customer Care Manager), who came out personally to inspect the non-functioning Up Foundation. David verified that the foundation was not functioning correctly, re-ordered a new one, and set up delivery based on my schedule. The new Up Foundation was installed August 27 and I now have a fully functional bed set. Second Issue with the the second delivery team damaging my home: Regarding the damaged matte painted wall, the In-Home Damage team(Massimo Aiello, Claims Manager, Of Service Transportation from Delivering Service FIRST! Claims Department) offered $200 for the damage to my matte painted walls. In addition, the In-Home Damage Team sent out an appraiser on August 20th, who didn't give the In-home Claim team an estimate because the appraiser couldn't find my bamboo flooring. So, the In-Home Damage team felt that pulling a random number of $200 would cover the damages because someone told them we can use paint thinner to fix the scuff marks they made on our bamboo flooring without damaging the coating. I do not agree with this as the cracked floor panel and scuff-marks are in the middle of the room and right side of a greater than 800 sqft master bedroom and in order to get a seamless finish, the appraiser said he would have to redo the whole flooring. $200 alone would not cover REAL bamboo flooring material, let alone the labor for the work. For example I found the almost exact bamboo flooring at Lowe's for $4.99/sqft, so for a 800 sqft room the material would cost at least $3992. I do not agree with their settlement offer for the flooring because there is no basis for that estimate and merely was to cover our "inconvenience". I want the In-Home Damage team to PROPERLY ASSESS and provide REALISTIC estimates to fix my flooring because it was not damaged before their delivery team arrived. The In-Home Damage Team is refusing to provide adequate funds to address their mistakes and I am still dealing with them. More than a month after my initial purchase, I'm expected to spend more money to fix the damaged the Ashley HomeStore Delivery Team did to my house. read more

I wasn't going to return to this store because of the terrible delivery I experienced. However I have credit at Ashleys and I needed a new bed. I was approached by friendly sales agent John Ferguson. He was very thorough with helping locate the perfect bed within my budget. I mentioned to him my problem with the last delivery and how one of my furniture pieces was delivered broken. John didn't waste any time to call over the manager Luis. Luis listened to my story and was very empathetic. Without asking, he set up a furniture swap and even discounted my new bed and even waived delivery. If that's not making it right, I don't know what is. I'm walking out of this store verry happy. Don't shop at Ashley because God for bid something goes wrong you can't return it or get store credit or do anything. The manager is too busy to even get on phone or get back to you and corporate doesn't even help. I had to order it on line at the store bc they didn't have it on floor. During delivery I was at work and my husband was home. So for all he knew this is exactly what I ordered. When I got home I saw the furniture and I was highly disappointed to see the color was very ugly and darker then what I expected and material was horrific. It feels like potato sack or something really tough I called Ashley to let them know I'm not happy they said there's nothing we can do you should of said something at time of delivery. I decided to give it a chance. 5 months later I can't even set on my own expensive couch that I'm still paying for. The couch is not damaged but it really hurts my back and I literally have to set on floor or lie on floor bc I'm simply not comfortable. I decided to call Ashley again , I asked for manager and Jennifer at store told me manager is too busy . When I told her I'm not happy w furniture she said bunch of store policy crap to me and gave me number to corporate. Corporate said we only exchange things if damaged and it's only up to manager at store level to allow any sort of changes. They got my number for manager to call and guess what no calls. So all n all don't buy anything from there bc they don't care and they won't try to help if your not happy with stuff you purchased. I should of gone to place called just like home furniture. They have better customer service and I bought all my bedroom furniture from there and seriously with half of the price of Ashley , Macy's and z gallery For now I'm stuck with ugly couch and no manager to help me at least replace item to something else read more

I came by today with my girl shopping for beds, furniture etc.. we were initially greeted by John Ferguson, I must admit he was very professional, very helpful and very knowledgeable, not pushy at all. John gave us a lot of insight and info on all the products. We must have been in that store for 2 hours and Mr. John was very patient as I am usually a handful and ask a million questions! They gave us a great discount and price overall, Manager Juan came by and put the icing on the cake. I think i may have redecorated my entire apartment for only $4,000. I am a happy consumer and i'd like to thank Juan and especially John Ferguson for his patience and help. Thanx Ashley's see you guys in 5 yrs. I highly recommed this place. read more

Would give it a 0 or a negative number if I could. Worst place to buy furniture. Bought several pieces in January 2021, within a month the top of a shelved wall unit was separating. Took pictures and sent them to Ashley customer service. The service tech agreed that it was definitely defective. We were told they would not replace the unit, but would replace the top. We were also told it would take a month or so because of covid. In April when we called we were told it would be here in the beginning of June. Today June 25, when we, once again called, we were told September. Their attitude towards you once they have your money is awful. Never again will I buy anything from them. read more

Worst customer service! They honestly are scammers and only care about making a sale! I came in to purchase a bed and a mattress and they didn't tell me that the bed was out of stock so they could sell me the more expensive bed. Before I found out about the fact that they sold me an out of stock item, I asked for delivery for Saturday and they said no problem. One day later I get a text from them saying they are delivering my mattress Friday and I was confused, so after being on hold with customer service for over an HOUR, they told me that the woman who sold me the items put the scheduled delivery on Friday and it was only for the mattress and the bed wouldn't be in stock for at least a month which they failed to tell me at the store. Incredibly unprofessional, rude, and untrustworthy. I cancelled everything and just bought what I needed from living spaces read more
