BUYER BEWARE I bought bedroom furniture and two living room sets. One of the nightstands in the bedroom came broken and I didn't notice it until a few days after the movers delivered as it was on the far end of the bedroom and I wasn't sleeping on that side. I took pictures and notified as soon as possible and instead of replacing it they are ordering parts to repair. I told them I want a new one and they said I signed a contract that they are repair first and I said I don't care I just received it last Tuesday they basically said they don't care and they are ordering parts to repair it. I purchased a king sized bed, two end tables, a chest of drawers, a dresser and mirror, and a recliner for my new home. I knew Ashley was not a "high end" furniture store but I was assured that the set I was purchasing was their premium set. I also purchased the extended warranty, but was warned at the store that I should call the store and not the extended warranty company before I make any claims, which struck me as odd. I live in a new development and my address was not in the GPS systems yet so there was some confusion on delivery day even though I warned them about the address issue. Another side note, for whatever reason, calls from Ashley Furniture and the delivery company that they use don't even ring on my phone. They are sent directly to voicemail which makes coordinating these deliveries difficult. First delivery, they bring in the bedroom furniture and set it up and I notice right away that MANY of the drawers do not close properly. They close at an angle, so one corner of the draw is flush with the furniture and the other corner sticks out more than a 1/4 of an inch, so the drawers look crooked. I did the math and 40% of the drawers were like this. The delivery guys called the customer service line and they said it would not be a problem and they will send a technician out to adjust the drawers. On to the recliner. It was the wrong color so it had to be sent back. -The replacement recliner was sent out a week or so later and set up and it has a "massage" feature to it which is just some air bladders that get inflated under your back, but I noticed that the bottom bladders did not inflate and you could hear a hissing sound. I looked and the air hose connection was not clicked in on both ends and air was escaping from one side of it. I tried to clip it in but the clips would not hold. eventually, I used zip ties to hold the assembly in place. So far that has held but not great quality either. -They schedule the technician to come out to "adjust the draw rails. This is also done through a third party, same as the deliveries are. This takes several weeks for him to show up for the work and when he does, he pushed on the drawers a few times, tightened a couple of screws and said there was nothing wrong even though the drawers close crooked. He then said that he could replace the rails and he called Ashley Furniture Customer Service and told them what he needed. He puts them on the phone with me and they tell me that they will order the parts and have them sent to my house. Once I receive them, I need to call them back so they can schedule the technician to come install them. It takes a week for the parts to arrive. I call them back and they schedule for the technician to come back out in about two weeks. On the day of the appointment, I stay home waiting for him to show during the 4 hour window I was given. At some point I look at my phone and see that I have a message from Ashley Customer Service. They stated that the technician was at my house and that I was not answering the door. The message was about 20 minutes old when I saw it. I confirmed no one was outside my door and called Ashley back. You have to sit on hold forever. The do offer a call back option, but remember, that their calls go straight to voicemail without ringing for some reason, so that was not an option. I finally get through to them and they confirm that the technician rang the door bell and waited 10 minutes and I did not answer so he left, CLOSED the ticket, and charged me $30 for missing the appointment. I told them I was sitting 10 feet from the door and no one ever came to my door. They said the technician took a photo of the door to prove he was there. She described the door and it was not mine. She said she would submit to have the $30 charge removed and she would reschedule the appointment. At this point I did ask to speak to someone higher up because of all the issues and she said all she can do is reschedule the appointment. Over two weeks later, the technician arrives (same one as the first time) and he starts swapping out the rails on the drawers. Remember he is the person who had Ashley order new rails. The entire time he was swapping out the rails on the first drawer, he was complaining that he did not know why he was doing this. It was just going to cause more issues down the line and it was not going to fix anything. Sure enough, after he swapped the rails on the first drawer, it did not help anything. He did one more drawer and it would not even close properly with the new rails, so he put the original rails back on it. At that point I told him to stop wasting our time since it is not fixing the issue. He called Ashley Customer Service and told them that I asked him to stop and that I was not satisfied. My husbands and I decided to give them a chance and I am so glad we did. We are greeted by Mohammed and he was very pleasant and made us feel welcome. We had our 2.5 year old with us and he loves jumping on the sofa so naturally we had to bring him along to test it out. This pertains to Ashley Furniture.com operating as Ashley Furniture Inds. They are related and the same company as Ashley Furniture Stores in Va. We purchased an Emily Biscuit Queen Size Headboard in late April for our pregnant daughter having her first child. When it was delivered we were surprised to see on the outer packaging - Manufactured with Cancer causing Materials. It was very Concerning and extremely Dangerous. Why would Ashley Furniture even do business and ship these kinds of products without notifying customers prior to their purchases. We have attempted to return to their Ashley Furniture Store about 4 miles north of our residence after we were told by Ashley Furniture Corporate (Harry) that it could be returned to our Local Store - Alexis an employee said they could not accept it. We then called Ashley Furniture Industries in Wisconsin and were told by a Tina Kebeck that we must Return the product to Wisconsin and suffer the cost of the Return delivery. This is unacceptable and unethical after we were shipped something Hazardous by Ashley Furniture without our knowledge. My advice to potential Ashley Furniture Customers is despite the price, please question everything about how, where and what the product was made with and its harmful potential. As for us, we will no longer shop nor recommend to family and friends to shop Astana Ashley Furniture stores but rather reputable stores that care about their customers with ethical return policies. And I have relayed all of this information to Tina Kebeck who has refused acceptance of the returned product at her Ashley Home Furniture store in Midlothian, Va. Saw a bedroom set online & wanted to go inside the store to see in person since the store was fairly close to me. Once in the store the salesman gave me a price that was higher than the advertised price online. I found that strange as it was on the Ashley website. I had to pull it up on my phone & show him. He eventually went in the back room & returned to say they would honor the online lower price. WTH?? While waiting around I found a beautiful mirror & told my salesman that I'd like to add this to my order. He then pulled it up on his iPad & showed me the online price on the Ashley website .. which was higher than the actual price tag ON the mirror. I wish I could posy a photo of the sectional I ordered on October 16th, but unfortunately after 2 months, I have yet to receive it. I have contacted them multiple times trying to find out the location of my items and just a week ago received a call telling me delivery would occur on December 9th. Still nothing. Just yesterday I was told that the couch I ordered specifically believing I could remove the cushion covers to wash them that actually they're not easily removable. Requests for a refund have been met with the runaround. Chris attempted to upsell me another sectional (no removable covers) and I have yet to receive the promised callback from a manager. Ashley HomeStore will not honor warranties or attempt to resolve issues with their products. In fact they have retroactively updated records to avoid the legal responsibility of their limited 1 year warranty. 6 months after purchasing a couch we had catastrophic failure and the bottom support ripped /fell away. This made the couch unusable. We are not obese people and this piece was lightly used. In July of 2020 after several follow ups (on our part, never from Ashley HomeStore) we were passed around back and forth between customer care to the store and the warranty company (which isn't responsible until after 1 year) Rachel with Ashley HomeStore informed me that although the couch broke as a result of normal use they wouldn't cover it since it wasn't a manufacturer defect. Obviously it was though! And normal use is covered within the warranty BTW After several more months of trying to get a response Ashley HomeStore updated the records to state the reason our claim was denied was due to a lack of care. Yep, they placed the blame for the couch breaking on me and modified the record to reflect that they were not at all responsible per the 1 year warranty and also in contradiction to the earlier record. Stay away from Ashley HomeStore. If you do buy have the BBB and your state District Attorney information for filing complaints readily available! She was able to order our furniture, just the way we wanted it configured and even sent us the dimensions of each piece of furniture we bought so that we could "see" what it would all look like once it was delivered. Ordered a set of bedroom furniture and mattresses. The delivery was delayed because they captured the wrong phone number after asking for it several times. The salesman didn't add a boxspring to my order that I can tell, and the delivery driver is how I found out. My sales receipt has no list of what I ordered. They also didn't deliver a mattress over I ordered. I called the store and they told me I have to come in and see a different salesman because mine is not working. And I can't get delivery for a few days. read more

First I would like to start with complimenting the rep we had. Terrell was amazing. And was the only good thing about this store. My husband and I just moved here from Arizona. We bought a bed set, a 4 thousand dollar mattress, two recliners and a sofa. We only did this because we were guaranteed that the mattress alone would be delivered next day by a manager (which we needed since we were sleeping on the wood floor). On to the next day we do not receive the mattress. But instead get told that we will not get it for an additional 5 days. But we only found out due to the fact that we called to find out since we didn't hear anything from the delivery team. Now today is when we were supposed to get the mattress delivered. But yet again we had to call. And found out that they were not planning on delivering it for another week. So we decided to rent a truck and drive to the warehouse to pick it up ourselves as we are unable to continue sleeping on wood floors. I would strongly suggest not going here to purchase anything unless you don't mind getting your items whenever THEY feel the urge to eventually send it. read more

Most Definitely a horrible business to deal with. If you have had a bad experience please report them to Consumer Affairs and the Federal Trade Commission. I have been attempting to get over $1800 refunded since Sept!!! Canceled an order within hours of placing it...SAME DAY. They originally agreed to cancel and refund but now are saying ALL SALES ARE FINAL and you have store credit. Well....the sale can't be final morons as there was never a fully completed sale. We never received any product and canceled before the order was fully processed. We don't want your store credit...we want our money you stole. I have turned them in for fraud twice on this issue and I am currently waiting on the Consumer Affairs office. read more

Our experience has been pitiful. We purchased several pieces the first week of November 2021. We were told the pieces would be delivered in December. The dining chairs showed up a couple of months ago. The table arrival changes all the time. We sold the old table last year to make room for the new one. I was last told end of April. Today I was told end of June. We also ordered a coffee table. It hadn't shown up either. During another call we were informed it was discontinued. We learn this after our call. No call from them. Why would you have discontinued items on the floor and sell them? They have done nothing to compensate us for the inconvenience. Our order was placed on July 18, 2020 and I feel our money was taken for goods and services we have not received. This furniture was purchased for our first home together and we are now 5 months into a new apartment with partial furniture. While I am sure the warehouse delays and production delays are attributed to the pandemic and can understand they are of the fault of no one in particular, I CAN NOT understand nor am I willing to accept that this is the standard procedure of a retail business who operates on the direct sales of its consumers. Especially for consumers who spent $2842.44 on furniture. I will reiterate here that each delay to our order was only discovered when I personally dialed the Hull Street Store location OR when my boyfriend went to the store in person. There has not been a sense of urgency or will to resolve our issues until we convey our frustrations and still we are WITHOUT a bed. We have purchased a new mattress and new boxspring and they are currently on our floor. There were about 4-5 different dates we were given for the bed's arrival to the warehouse. HEADBOARD and SIDE RAILS and they should be in the week of October 20. I explained our frustration, how our mattress and box spring are on the floor, and our dissatisfaction with service as I am only finding out about delays because I KEEP calling vs being notified. Due to this new information my boyfriend and I feel as if our bed pieces were taken from our order and given to another customer because in August we were told it was just the rails that were missing. I asked about refunds and compensation and the customer care rep told me this had to be discussed with the store location. She contacted the store and told me the manager Kamal (spelling?) would be calling me back after he finished a meeting, we never received a phone call. Thus, my boyfriend went to the store in person. When he arrived I was able to convey our previous delays and the information from customer care via telephone. My boyfriend then spoke to Kamal and Heather and they scheduled our delivery for Tuesday October 20. My boyfriend was then told we had to contact customer service regarding compensation/refunds for our displeasure with this order. On October 19 I received the automated call at 9:54am & the text message notifying us of our delivery time frame of 10am - 1pm. Thus, I requested the day off to be home for the delivery on October 20. While waiting for the delivery driver I contacted customer care at 11:58am in order to receive details on how to share my review and discuss refunds and compensation for this negative and hindering experience. I spoke to customer care who explained a lot of information to me and she informed me that the delivery I was currently awaiting had been canceled. Yes, while waiting for the delivery I was notified it was not coming! Of course this was no fault of the representative but yet again had I not called and reached out to Ashley Homestore I would not have known this. Thus again we went back to the store and spoke to the manager on duty, shared our written account of this entire experience and our awaiting the resolution. We were told we would be contacted when the bed comes in by the manager and the store manager would also be notified but at this point we've heard it all and are completely dissatisfied with this store's procedures, lack of urgency, and communication. read more

Update from my original 5 star review.... Avoid Ashley Homestore!!! What a nightmare experience I ended up having. They delivered the wrong bed with the bedroom set I purchased for my mother's apartment in an assisted living facility prior to her moving to the state. They gave me such a runaround to fix the problem. Customer service wanted pictures before they would open an "investigation", even though the paperwork clearly identified that the bed was not the model I wanted (the salesperson ordered the wrong one). After a week of no updates I called only to be told that they now had the pictures and would begin the investigation. By this time they'd had the pictures for a week, and hadn't done anything, and apparently wouldn't have if I hadn't called for an update! Then there was the manager, Kim, that refused to call me back, avoided my calls, and had staff tell me she was in meetings every time I called. Then the store just stopped answering when I called. I went to the store for help, but there was supposedly no one with any authority there at the moment, even though the manager in training went to the back to speak to someone. My original salesperson was off the schedule for a few days, and when I called on her first day back, I was told she wasn't there that day. Because I had already been told she would be, I popped in and spoke to her in person. She was very apologetic, gave me her personal number, and did her best to work on a solution and keep me updated. She at least tried, which is more than I can say for anyone else at Ashley. They continued to give me the runaround, knowing I was on a very tight schedule to get this corrected before my mom arrived by plane and moved into her apartment. It's not something she would have been able to take care of. Ashley did not care, whatsoever. When they finally agreed to bring the correct bed...they brought it to my house instead of my mom's apartment! Then they insinuated they would meet me at her apartment that same day (the day before she was to move in). Hours go by. I call for an update and they say they won't because it's not on their route. Livid, and over it. No matter what I said, they would not work with me to get it done. Not until I turned to a local news channel and prepared to meet at their store with signage, ready to greet any customer entering the store...all day. Once they found out I was preparing to do that, the truck was turning around and on their way to make the delivery to the correct address. I got notified of this by phone...a call from the manager that would not have anything to do with me up until this point. I continued to have issues after the "correct" bed was delivered. The frame was much longer than the queen mattress, leaving a few extra feet of empty space at the foot and/or head board for the blankets or pillows to fall to the floor. They claimed it was normal. Sure. It wasn't normal for the floor model I saw, but somehow it is for the one we got. Right. Ok. Bottom line....don't get in bed with Ashley HomeStore. It won't be the right one!! read more

3 of my 5 pieces were falling apart after a week. The delivery people dropped them in yard and banged thru door and home. They did not bring all pieces. Came next day and same thing. I now have a mattress that has a 6 inch roll in center a adjustable base that sounds like a plane taking off and a loveseat that is broken in middle. The customer service sent ppl out and they agreed defective/damaged. Then Ashley said no returns. I will never deal with this company again and don't know how they can do business this way. Delivery people are horrible. Customer service is terrible and furniture all poor quality. read more

If you shop at this store my advice to you would be to avoid the salesperson by the name of KHADIJA TOUMI. She will do anything to make the sale to include leaving out important information, miscalculating the price, and just flat out not being honest with you. Once the sale is done, if you have any questions or concerns and you reach out to her in a reasonable time frame she will say "let me see what I can do" then never get back to you. read more

Truly so frustrated. I went into the store, had a great experience with the salesman, and it was completely downhill from there. The bed was delivered and they stripped the screws on installation, then didn't tell me and hid it against the wall so we wouldn't know it was half installed and wobbly. On that delivery they forgot to load another piece of furniture on the truck I ordered, so I rescheduled the delivery for the next week. Took another day off work, and on that day they called me 15 minutes from the end of the delivery window to tell me they forgot to load it onto the truck AGAIN. They wanted to reschedule for a 3rd day, I declined and told them to refund me. I'll get the cabinet at Homegoods and get a higher quality piece of furniture that ACTUALLY ARRIVES AT MY HOME. read more
