This is a fun, little shop! The owner is almost always there, and she spends time with each customer to ensure a great experience. There is a warm, inviting atmosphere and you will always find something unique. Whether you're looking for a fantastic hostess gift, a conversation piece, or a beautiful piece of furniture, you can always find it here. They also sell chalk paint and other tools to create your own furniture art. If you want to learn how to paint your own furniture you can do that here, too. Check out the website for dates and class info.

I'm still not starry eyed about this shop. I reluctantly came in here the other day because my…read morefriend wanted to purchase something inside. I chuckled at the ridiculously high mark up on their items. The "cocktail mixology jars" cracked me up! Some sugar cubes, a cinnamon stick and a couple pieces of dried fruit in a jar for $25! Do they come with your very own personal bartender? I guess the people who buy these things are the same folks who bought "pet rocks and mood rings in the '70's" as my Yelp pal Jim C. mused. They also had a glass dome of colored matchsticks for $28! You do realize these are wooden sticks you throw away? If you need an aesthetically pleasing way to display your matches, then by all means, spend your hard earned money at this frivolous store. I did see a set of three Chinese paper lanterns that caught my eye... they were originally $40! Similar items with the same design and sizes sell on-line and at Party City for $8-10. Even on sale at $20, they are overpriced. Look, I have no problem paying good money for cool, unique, quality gifts or jewelry... I LOVE to shop... but much of the inventory here makes a laughing"stock", well, of their stock! If you're strapped for c"ash", this extravagant shop isn't worth a glance. Ditch the preposterous vendors and stick to the classic, useful pieces like your jewelry, purses, bar ware and soaps, and be thoughtful about pricing. It just goes to show you, all that shimmers isn't "gild". Although perhaps "gilty" of price gouging, if you're a spendthrift, you've found your "gilty" pleasure.

My friend and I had a blast shopping here, the prices were on point (some on the high side) and the sales staff was friendly! Just being in this store feels like a party! Check it out!

At the Midlothian store our sales person was more interested in trying to sell us a protection plan than she was in actually ordering our loveseat and recliner in the same color. She only offered us the finance plan that would require a 10% down payment. Only later did I read on their website that other plans could be had that required no down payment. I had to call the manager to have the color corrected for our furniture to match. On the day of delivery I received a voice mail informing us that one of two recliners I ordered was going to arrive with a missing section. This would require a second delivery, at some time to be determined. At 6pm I called Haverty's customer service to find out where our delivery was, at the same time the driver called my wife explaining that he was an hour away, would we like to reschedule? We let him know we were OK with a late delivery. Ten minutes later we got a call informing us the delivery would be canceled. I informed the customer service rep that we would cancel the entire order. I was told that would not be possible until the truck returned to the warehouse. This was unacceptable. I had no furniture, had wasted a day waiting for furniture, and now I had to call them to get my money back. It will be quite awhile before we do business with Haverty's.
