On my way home (about 45 minutes before delivery was supposed to occur), I received a text from an inhabitant of my home (whom was not authorized to sign for anything) stating that it had already been delivered. Today, I inspected the recliner to find scratches all over the frame and patches of leather missing from all 4 corners. 1. I did not sign for this sofa, and this company allowed an unauthorized person to sign for it without inspection prior to the delivery time AND they never even called my phone. 2. I called La Z Boy's customer service line and got no one, called the local line where I ordered the recliner (4 times and a voicemail before an answer) and the person I spoke with told me she "couldn't do anything about it once it was signed for". This same sales person is who I bought the recliner from in August. I spoke candidly with her about my personal life, my time in the military, and my deceased mother for over an hour. What a sales tactic! 3. I refuse to call anyone else. I paid for this "made to order" custom piece, sight unseen, in total, the day that I ordered it three months ago. I don't want your repairs. I want my money back and nothing else to do with lazy boys. I'm currently awaiting the outcome for a disputed claim with my credit card company if the complaint I made with the BBB doesn't yield results. I won't make purchases from a company that operates this way. This "high end" recliner was supposed to replace one that I purchased elsewhere and it was substantially lower priced with better quality. Never ever again.

I could have walked in the store found my item and checked out at the register way faster as that was the only line moving efficiently with ample help. I do not plan to return to this location due to her negative attitude around me questioning why I needed an ID after presenting the name, having a barcode ready (that was never asked for) considering my name is very unique and the chances of anyone coming to get the order, on this specific day/time/at that very location, who wasn't myself or spouse, would be very random and unlikely to happen.
