At the Midlothian store our sales person was more interested in trying to sell us a protection plan than she was in actually ordering our loveseat and recliner in the same color. She only offered us the finance plan that would require a 10% down payment. Only later did I read on their website that other plans could be had that required no down payment. I had to call the manager to have the color corrected for our furniture to match. On the day of delivery I received a voice mail informing us that one of two recliners I ordered was going to arrive with a missing section. This would require a second delivery, at some time to be determined. At 6pm I called Haverty's customer service to find out where our delivery was, at the same time the driver called my wife explaining that he was an hour away, would we like to reschedule? We let him know we were OK with a late delivery. Ten minutes later we got a call informing us the delivery would be canceled. I informed the customer service rep that we would cancel the entire order. I was told that would not be possible until the truck returned to the warehouse. This was unacceptable. I had no furniture, had wasted a day waiting for furniture, and now I had to call them to get my money back. It will be quite awhile before we do business with Haverty's.

I called La Z Boy's customer service line and got no one, called the local line where I ordered the recliner (4 times and a voicemail before an answer) and the person I spoke with told me she "couldn't do anything about it once it was signed for". This same sales person is who I bought the recliner from in August. I spoke candidly with her about my personal life, my time in the military, and my deceased mother for over an hour. What a sales tactic! 3. I refuse to call anyone else. I paid for this "made to order" custom piece, sight unseen, in total, the day that I ordered it three months ago. I don't want your repairs. I want my money back and nothing else to do with lazy boys. I'm currently awaiting the outcome for a disputed claim with my credit card company if the complaint I made with the BBB doesn't yield results. The time it took standing around, getting the run around and interacting with the unprofessional associate... I could have walked in the store found my item and checked out at the register way faster as that was the only line moving efficiently with ample help. I do not plan to return to this location due to her negative attitude around me questioning why I needed an ID after presenting the name, having a barcode ready (that was never asked for) considering my name is very unique and the chances of anyone coming to get the order, on this specific day/time/at that very location, who wasn't myself or spouse, would be very random and unlikely to happen.
