    Screw put in at angle instead of straight up and down so have to push handle in by hand

    Ashley knowingly put broken furniture in there clearance and tells you its discontinued!! Not even chair picked out. They sold ours and brought there from warehouse.

    Horribly unprofessional. I purchased furniture from this store and purchased the "protection plan." I call the protection plan people, get nowhere. I call the Ashley store in Joliet and request a refund for the protection plan. I am told someone will call me back. They never do. I get a hold of "Doug" who is a sales manager. Horribly unprofessional... won't even give out his last name. I ask who is the store manager. He won't even give me that individual's name. So here I am with broken furniture and Ashley furniture won't hold up their end of the deal by repairing the furniture. All I want is a refund for the "protection plan" and I will fix the furniture myself. I will never buy from Ashley furniture again over $280 of a scam "protection plan." UPDATE: -I don't know who "db" is, but here is the update. Everyone can see the game going on here. I have already reached out to the "protection plan" people and Ashley furniture three times, but you want me to provide my information yet again. Here it is; I emailed this information to the provided email address at 6:32PM CST on 1/2/23. All I want is a refund of the $279.99 for the scam"protection plan" and I'll fix my furniture myself. UPDATE: I emailed the info per the request on 1/2. 11 days later.... NO acknowledgement or response whatsoever. Ridiculous.

    We just came to check out some new couches and a lady Named Nicole with short blonde hair was so helpful and awesome she is the reason we will be back there to pick out our new couch when we are ready. Nicole was amazing! Highly recommend going and asking for Nicole

    Total disaster all around. Sales people don't know what's going on with delivery and the delivery warehouse can't keep to a schedule. It's literally been several months of trying to coordinate a delivery. They keep confirming, canceling, rescheduling, confirming, canceling, rescheduling, confirming, canceling...I forget where we're at now... oh yeah, I have no furniture!! Update: delivery was made finally. Upped my rating to two stars because we like the product. They need to make it possible to talk with people scheduling delivery because it was impossible to get a hold of someone and the sales people tried but not very successful in helping with delivery.

    Worst furniture store in Joliet I bought a 1500$ bed frame first time the "delivery drivers" came, which is a 3rd party by the way the frame was damaged so they left half of the frame in my living room. 2 weeks later they came again it was damaged. Third time finally everything was good but no screws???? Absolutely trash if a store management is a joke don't buy your furniture here at all unless u want to be scammed and there is no refunds which they never told me about.

    This review is for the service department, not a store location. I called service to send someone…read moreb/c my hot tub was making noises there were not normal. I have had the hot tub for 3+ years. I knew there would be a $100 trip/travel fee and was told labor charges would apply if anything was done. The first thing the tech said to me was there was nothing wrong, nothing to fix. There was nothing extreme at that time, but it was obvious to me that something wasn't right. The tech then told me I messed up the chemicals most likely (my issue was w/sounds moving through the pipes in the hot tub and how the jets were working/blowing out water, not sure how chemicals would cause that and they were on point at the time the guy came (he didn't check so couldn't say otherwise). He stayed for another 20 minutes repeating that to me, to the point I had to ask him to leave b/c there was no point of him staying. I was shocked when I saw the invoice where he charged $30 labor. After i was told I would be notified and approve any labor before it took place ... and noting he did not do any labor, he told me it was all find, so how was there labor? When I called to complain I was told the $30 was for when he offered to clear the reminders that flash across the screen. Mind you that was not part of the original complaint, nor did I ask for it, or was I told this would be "labor". The manager at the service place didn't seem at all bothered about this scenario then offered a $30 gift card to make up for the labor charges. Great, but the fact that no one is concerned I got charged labor for "nothing is wrong" and just wants to send a gift card rather than address the issue is sad. ***Fast forward to 32 days later, my hot tub failed with flow issues and not heating (things that make the noises I called TGE out to look at and was told nothing was wrong). I call back, met with the same condescending manager who tells me since it was past the 30 days I would be charged another $100 trip fee. That close of a window, after the tech told me nothing was wrong and had to be asked to leave and charged labor services there should be a grace period when the hot tub fails. My HT broke within a few months of purchasing, but it was under warranty so no issues. So, I would definitely NOT recommend buying anything from TGE b/c once your warranty is up, they don't care and will make it extremely maddening/frustrating. I ended up calling another service to come out and fix it and that is who I will be going with. TGE has the lowest trip/travel fee, but that is probably b/c the labor charges start right after they get to your house even though they tell you nothing is wrong.. that is how they recoup the difference. They have 40 complaints in 3 years through the BBB and majority is surrounding the service department with the same complaints/stories I have. Beware.

    I stopped in today looking for some items for a couple projects from mostly their garden center…read more The staff I encountered in the garden center were all helpful and friendly. They even entertained my son while he's in what I call his Politician Phase (as he walks through places he waves and says hi to everyone) and kept saying hi back to him. Which is bonus points because I know it can get annoying as he even does it to me throughout the day and we live in the same house. Big shoutout to one employee. I believe her name was Karen. She helped me repair my flip flop that had broken. She was in a good humor about it, did not seem at all put out, and even checked on how it was holding up while I shopped. I needed 2 things from inside the store- spray paint and a screen for a window. The paint was a quick grab as I'm familiar with that area but my previous dealings have always been positive with the paint folks (i wish I could remember the name of the very patient woman a couple years ago who helped me get a project off the ground- she was awesome). On the other hand I had no clue where screens are but logic told me they'd be in the windows and doors section. I wandered over and stood in front of the design area for this section looking at the signs on the aisles. None I could see said "screens". The older guy wearing the apron in this area seemed to hyper focus on whatever he was reading once I stopped. I eventually found something that would work for what I needed after a bit of wandering (even passing other customers in this section) but curiosity got the best of me. I walked past the older guy. Silence. Went back the other way. Nothing. As I stood at the end of the aisle wondering if what I really wanted was just under my nose the screen I was holding slid out on its track and banged onto the floor. He flinched but didn't even look up which was equal parts irritating and a relief as I was beginning to worry about his welfare. I wandered back towards garden, got yelled at by a door that I needed to stay away from as it is restricted (what's in there?!? Narnia??), and was rung out by the Flip Flop Fixing Angel, Karen.

    Went to garden center at 9:30AM and found some plants I wanted. Outside entrance to registers not…read moreopen yet. Went inside main door and spoke to some associates about doors not being open. Was told "will open in a few minutes". I wandered the store awhile, and then saw doors were still not open. I had to go outside, retrieve my cart, go inside and paid for them at the self-checkout. The garden doors still closed almost 2 hours after opening time, lack of management presence and unconcerned staff attitude gives this visit a FAIL for customer service.

Thank you, Erin for being the ONLY good thing about Bob's furniture. I was really hoping Bob's furniture would be better than Ashley's but it looks like they all are going to fall short. If Bob's does anything right, it would be giving the ONE good thing they have a raise and allowing her to replace her managers. Erin assisted me with picking a bed and bedroom furniture set. Due to technical issues with the order site, she sought support from her store manager. Nice Guy, but he didn't listen to what I wanted and ordered the wrong items. This was after I spent 2 hours with Erin filling her in on my issues with Ashley Furniture and my desperate need for furniture ASAP. My items arrived (most of them) on time. I had my new bed which is great, but with the box spring the store manager ordered caused the bed sit so high that my 5'8" tall body had to jump up to get into the bed. I wanted the low profile box spring so that it was lower to the ground like a bed should be. What if this bed was for a kid or an elderly individual? You would need a chair lift to get into that bed. Next, my 5 piece bedroom set was delivered as a 4 piece. Little did I know, Mr. Store Manager ordered the wrong one. So, now my husband has no dresser for the foreseeable future. Because of course, now the piece is out of stock and on back order unlike last weekend when I worked with Erin, because she confirmed all of the items I wanted were in stock due to my need. I called Erin to get the issue resolved and she graciously reached out twice letting me know her manager on duty Jessica would be calling. She even called to tell me she was going to call in 5 minutes. Guess what?! I never received the call from Jessica. Thanks for the help, Jessica. Appreciate your attention to detail - it must be a manager thing in that store. So, I had to spend my day todaytalking to a text chat bots Wildeline and Mildred and a customer care agent Adyen for 2 hours to get the issue resolved. I am now getting the box spring I wanted and when the chest dresser becomes available (hopefully before 2027), my husband will finally have his dresser. They waived the delivery fee (as they should) and gave me a $100 off. So shout out to Adyen for spending over an hour on the phone and putting me on hold 5 times to get permission to do the right thing. Oh, I forgot to mention, that all this happened after I had already ordered a sectional couch and ottoman from them for $2000 and the ottoman broke after 2 days for NO REASON. So, call me a "Karen" if you want but if my attention to detail and listening skills were as piss poor as the management in the Joliet store or as dependable as the chatbots Wildeline and Mildred at resolving ANY TYPE OF ISSUE, I wouldn't have been able to pay over $6000 on furniture in 4 different deliveries due to 3 different mishaps caused by Bob's furniture for furniture that probably has the durability of what is left of my patience. The only reason I am giving this store 3 stars is because Erin my Guest Experience Specialist was amazing, empathetic, and supportive. Jumping off my soap box now. Happy Shopping.
