I would like to warn the residents of Hobbs and the other surrounding cities of Lea County about my experience with Ashley Furniture here in Hobbs. I purchased my bed and bedroom set in May 2013, did not receive it until July. When I was delivered they delivery guys were supposed to put it all together, but did not have the time apparently even though it was their job too. I called the store and told them several time that I was missing pieces of my bed frame in order to put it together so they finally told me after many time of calling to call the 1-800 number. They sent me 2 bags of random bolts and screws no of which fit my bed frame. My husband had to go out to home depot and buy pieces to put the bed together. Now it is September and we are lying in bed realizing that out mattress that we paid $2,500 for caved in the middle. I then called the store again begging to have all of my money back and this furniture taken back. They of course would not do that gave me another 1-800 number to call. They told me they would send someone out check out the mattress. The end of October someone finally came out to my house measured the cave in the middle of the mattress to show a 1 1/2 inch cave without any pressure put on it. They told me I will hear from some on within the next week. 1 week goes by and I call them they said they were still in process with everything and that they were going to try to compensate me in some way. The holidays go by I was out of town and totally forgot about Ashley Furniture when now in January a friend of mine tells me the purchased a bedroom set from Ashley Furniture and I remembered, oh god I forget they were supposed to do something about my bed. For 2 weeks I called the store asking to speak with a manager and they would tell me they will give you a call in 5, 10, 15 minutes and I never got a return phone call. Friday of last week I went into the store and finally was face to face with one of the assistant manager who told me that she would look into it and give me a call Monday. On Tuesday I went into the store asking why I never got a call back speaking to a different manager who said they had no idea about anything that was going on with my case and said that she would talk with the manager before and give me a call in the morning. Wednesday comes around I never get a call I go back in on Thursday and they tell me I was approved for a new mattress with no compensation like I was promised. I ask the mattress specialist well I want a different mattress and you also sold me a bed frame that was missing pieces, so can that be replaced as well since I paid for something that I could not even use until I went out and bought pieces for it myself to get my mattress off the floor. She told me to come back the next day to see what she could do. I come in the next day which is Friday spoke with the actual store manager who everyday I saw wandering around the store, took me into his office and said that he spoke with the vice president of Ashley Furniture and told him all he can do is give me a new mattress and a $200.00 gift card to Ashley Furniture. I told him I paid total for 1 mattress, box spring, bed frame and dresser $3,500 and every piece including the scratched up and chipped dresser had something wrong with it and your going to give me a $200 gift card for this store. Why would I buy anything from Ashley Furniture again it would be a waste of money. I asked him if I could have the VP's phone number to talk to him and give him my story myself and the manager smirked and said that is not the way we do business here I can not give you his number. I told him well can you call him while I am here with you and we can all talk, he again said no that is not how we do business here. Then I started to get very agitated and told him okay then I will leave your office while you call him and tell him to call me then I will come back in your office and wait for his call. So I left he "called" and came out and said the VP will give you a call Monday and we can only give you the mattress. I said that was very unfair and asked the manager if he was in my shoes and received a bedroom set and paid a lot of money for and all the parts were messed up what would he do. He looked and me and said he did not have to answer that. He also said he does not know why I would wait so long to have all of these problems solved and I told him that I have been calling since July and the people at the store only gave me 1-800 number to call and said there was nothing at the store that they could do. I told him I was going to tell anyone and everyone that they should not waste their time and money at Ashley Furniture and then he told me to leave the store. So please I would really like people to know the horrible customer service and products that Ashley Furniture has because I do not want other people to go through what I went through. Your solgan should be Ashley that chick that will steal from you your time and money! Why can't you disappear Ashely furniture store? Seriously? Bring back Toys r us ! People love that store!
