    My U-shaped mattress that Ashley Furniture will not replace or refund.

    It has been a nightmare working with this store. Their delivery window on Jan 12th from 10:30am-1pm was 5pm and only because I had to make approx. 10 calls to beg them to deliver before 5pm bc my building does not allow delivery past 5pm. They said they would just schedule for next available delivery date if they didn't make it. I purchased the furniture in November for delivery on this specific date because this is a 2nd home and I do not live in the state. I received a reprimand from the Board because they did not leave until 7:45pm. Ashley Furniture will not refund my delivery fees. More frustrating is that the mattress delivered is defective. I was not made aware that it would arrive in a box. It has not become full-sized and is unusable. Ashley Furniture has provided me with 5 phone numbers to call in a continual loop with not one of them taking responsibility. I am stuck with a $1500 mattress that is in a U-shape. Ian G, the store manager, will not respond to requests for help. Kiery D, the sales associate, will not do anything. Never, ever deal with this horrible company or store again.

    Ashley should be ashamed for selling the fraudulent worthless furniture warranties from ProtectAll/GBS. I paid $189.99 for a 5-year warranty on my father's recliner and have tried for over a month to get this scam warranty company to fix the lift motor on the chair that stopped working through no fault of ours. He has heart failure, dementia, is elderly and frail. He's supposed to elevate his legs and can't due to the broken chair and failure of GBS/ProtectAll to fulfill their obligations as a warranty company. See how swollen his legs are in the picture!!!!!!!! That's because his chair is broken and your warranty is useless!!!! Shame on all of you involved for wasting my father's money and negatively impacting his health with your GREED and INCOMPETENCE! And Schatzman that came out and said they ordered a part will not respond to me either. I finally ordered the part myself. Will NEVER purchase anything from Ashley again, not to mention GBS/ProtectAll, and be warned that Schatzman is unethical too for being a part of this WARRANTY SCAM!

    Don't go here if you want any service or help shopping for furniture. My wife and I went into look for bedroom and living room furniture, but we walked around the store for about 8 or 10 minutes and were not greeted by any staff. The store was not crowded and a simple "hello, we'll be right with you" would've gone a long way. The whole experience was disappointing.

    Ashley Home Furniture has poorly made products, terrible customer service, and most importantly for me, policies that ignore and are negligent to environmental awareness as well as actively contribute to worsening climate change on this planet. Please read to the end. My experience with Ashley Furniture HomeStore has been, without question, the worst experience with any business I have ever had. Period. My wife and I bought a new sofa, the "Dorsten Slate Model", in October of 2018. It came with a 1 year warranty from Ashley and we purchased an additional 5 year warranty from Montage Furniture Services, Inc. On 5/7/20, we noticed that the sofa's load system under the seat cushions had broken. This sofa has a webbed system rather than springs, meaning that there is a sewn semi mesh fabric connected to the upholstery. The mesh has sewn eyes that connect to a 1/8" diameter or smaller rod system towards the back. The rod had snapped, the mesh had torn, and now the sofa was almost unusable. This is after less than two years of regular household use. Nothing was done by us to this sofa other than sitting and lying on it. I called Ashley on 5/7, I was on hold for nearly an hour, and then hung up on. I called again, and after being bounced around to multiple people and more lengthy holds I was told that I needed to file a claim through Montage Furniture Services. Fine. After filing the claim, I was notified by MFS that a serviceman from Fast Furniture Repair would come to survey the damage. He did about two weeks later, and contacted MFS to notify them that it needed to be reupholstered, and then left. Yesterday, 6/3/20, I received a text message from MFS asking to rate my experience. I was under the impression that we were waiting for the repairman to contact us again and schedule a day to repair the sofa. However, apparently it is more cost effective to replace the sofa with another sofa from Ashley Home Furniture instead of order the repair upholstery and have the serviceman fix it. (That tells me a lot about the quality of furniture, btw). I wasn't informed of this, but rather had to call both Ashley and MFS to find this out. 6/4/20, I received a text message asking when I preferred delivery. I called Ashley Home Furniture and was notified that they would only be delivering the new sofa, and that its my responsibility to get rid of the old sofa. This sofa is damaged and in need of professional repair. I cannot sell it, I cannot give it away. I cannot donate it. Im forced to put it on the curb. This is so unacceptable and irresponsible. I'm basically forced to have this sofa go to a landfill. I will absolutely never ever shop here again. I will actively tell others to not only NOT shop here, but to boycott this company for their egregious policies that and lack of environmental awareness. I am disgusted that the company would rather add trash to a landfill than fix their terrible furniture the right way. I am on my way to the store to speak with someone personally. Whenever I call the Ashley HomeFurniture branch at 5151 Citrus Blvd, Harahan LA 70123, I am immediately transferred to a corporate line, where I am on hold for 30 min minimum each time. Pictures are attached of the damaged furniture. Ive read that an Ashley spokesperson tends to initially respond to these posts, but never respond after an initial message.

First, I have a very high antique canopy bed so needed a mattress 8-10 inches high, NO HIGHER or I wouldn't be able to get on or off it even with the stool I now use. Very hard to find today. For some reason the 2 stores were pushing a boxspring that is adjustable & would raise your head. I didn't want that! Sales personnel was very pushy & kept insisting I would love what they had even when not what I asked for. At age 80 I know exactly what I like & what I want, they do not! So I left & began looking on line but most of those were either shipped in a SMALL box or took weeks to ship & receive. Then I saw Beds4LESS, a locally owned store owned by Jason Feder. He is also the salesman so there all the time. Jason is delightful, engages his customers to find out exactly what type of mattress you are interested in buying. NO pressure to hurry & buy. Very impressed when another buyer walked in & he greeted the customer, told him to please look around without missing a beat with or leaving us. Unfortunately he didn't have what I wanted but was about to get a new shipment. I left, looked more & went back several days later. I bought a 10" mattress & bought a smaller (5") boxspring on Amazon. I would positively recommend both Beds4LESS & Jason.

He wore a mask the whole time and I felt very safe shopping because of all the Covid precautions that were taken. It doesn't look like they may have a lot of mattresses in the showroom, but they have a whole warehouse that sometimes has 50+ mattresses back there. I only bought a mattress and not a boxspring (I already had an adjustable one), but so far, no complaints! Have slept great for the last week. The deals are really great here. They aren't kidding when they say, Beds 4 Less! I ended up not opting to get it delivered and picked it up myself. I wouldn't recommend skipping the delivery option. Getting the massive mattress upstairs with a friend was a DOOZY. Def would opt to use the moving company they partner with next time. You can also finance a mattress through SNAP and if you pay it off within 100 days, you don't pay any interest on it.

The items delivered to me were not functional because a portion of the order was not delivered. The team told me to convert into a platform bed instead of them paying the cost to send needed items.  When I called to return the store manager said " I was over my 30 day return time frame". I was not. I contacted the regional manager Jason O'Neal who has been nonresponsive. The excuse of "covid" was also given as to why items could not be returned. No team members at this site are wearing masks, there is no signage about Covid protocol or following of any basic Covid protocol in this store, likely because the state of Louisiana has lifted almost all Covid restrictions. I requested the items be refunded so I could use my credit account for items I can actually use. As this will affect my credit, if not honored I will have to pursue legal action against the company. It sucks that I now have to dedicate real time to this when the problem came from the American Freight side.
