Ashley furniture is middle of the road furniture to me. You would never confuse it with Stickley or Herman Miller, but this is not their niche. It's decent furniture at a "fair" price. I have some furniture from this location that is already 14 years old and it is holding up very well. I recently bought a new TV and the wifey does not want it hung on the wall. Therefore, I needed a new tv stand, as the one I currently have cannot accommodate the size or weight of the new tv. I immediately went online to Ashley's website and found 2 or 3 that I liked. When I called to initially inquire about them, I was told that once you find a piece of furniture you want to purchase, it has to be ordered. You can opt for home delivery for a nominal fee or have it delivered to the store of your choice. As a prudent shopper, I searched the internet and found the same exact Ashley TV stand at 2 other local furniture stores, both of which were priced less than the Ashley Store. Now that I was in purchase mode, I called the store back and spoke with salesman Chandsler W. I told him the piece I wanted was advertised lower at 2 other local stores than at the Ashley store. Chandsler stated that he would "see what he could do" and call me back. In approximately 15-20 minutes, I got a return phone call and Chandsler advised me that he would lower Ashley's advertised price to beat both local competitors. Furthermore, he stated that he could give me a link to pay online, or come into the store and pay in person. Since he was so accommodating, I opted to go to the store and pay in person. He was the consummate professional and gave me his direct number in the event that I had any additional questions, needs or concerns. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Sales team and managment both garbage... I ordered furniture and set delivery date. They called and confirmed delivery the day before with all items, texted me tracking the day of, once they tried to pick up furniture it turns out the store lost my paperwork and it couldn't be delivered. We'll I called and spoke to my sales associate (Alexis) and he went back and forth to the asst. Manager (Mike) who beat around the bush about when I would get my furniture but it was basically alot of we can cancel your order. . No I want my furniture so figure out whatever you have to do to get it to me, but this is your problem. I call to speak to someone else to be hung up on 9 times.... oh I was mad. Then Alexis stops responding and the manager won't answer for updates.. I call HR (wendy) and wow like magic i get treated like a customer should be treated, and the problem is handled with care, my furniture was just delivered thank you to Wendy and the regional manager for going above and beyond to make it right. I now know why the parking lot is empty, your salespeople and managment need to take a class in customer service, and train new staff alot better before putting them on the floor. It has been a nightmare working with this store. Their delivery window on Jan 12th from 10:30am-1pm was 5pm and only because I had to make approx. 10 calls to beg them to deliver before 5pm bc my building does not allow delivery past 5pm. They said they would just schedule for next available delivery date if they didn't make it. I purchased the furniture in November for delivery on this specific date because this is a 2nd home and I do not live in the state. I received a reprimand from the Board because they did not leave until 7:45pm. Ashley Furniture will not refund my delivery fees. More frustrating is that the mattress delivered is defective. I was not made aware that it would arrive in a box. It has not become full-sized and is unusable. He was very detailed oriented, except in the one area that mattered most...the timing of delivery. I was very clear that I needed the mattress within a week and he told me that it would definitely be delivered. I hadn't heard anything after a couple of days so I called to inquire about delivery. To my surprise, the soonest delivery date was about a month out. I would have never made the purchase had I known that. Fast forward to today, 3 days out, I receive a text "your order will be delivered Saturday 9:15 - 12:15". Does that sound like after noon to you? I was assured a delivery time by Tia, with her knowing they have no control over delivery times, just the dates. I'm given an option via text "does this time work for you? If not, reply no" sure, I'll push it back past 12 and I reply no. I'm greeted with "delivery date will be canceled, please choose: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Next Saturday are available" Do people who buy from them just not have jobs? Now I'm stuck waiting 2 weeks for this. So I go to the store to see what they can do "oh no! They already booked the spot you gave up!" Ashley Home Furniture has poorly made products, terrible customer service, and most importantly for me, policies that ignore and are negligent to environmental awareness as well as actively contribute to worsening climate change on this planet. Please read to the end. My experience with Ashley Furniture HomeStore has been, without question, the worst experience with any business I have ever had. Period. My wife and I bought a new sofa, the "Dorsten Slate Model", in October of 2018. It came with a 1 year warranty from Ashley and we purchased an additional 5 year warranty from Montage Furniture Services, Inc. On 5/7/20, we noticed that the sofa's load system under the seat cushions had broken. This sofa has a webbed system rather than springs, meaning that there is a sewn semi mesh fabric connected to the upholstery. The mesh has sewn eyes that connect to a 1/8" diameter or smaller rod system towards the back. The rod had snapped, the mesh had torn, and now the sofa was almost unusable. This is after less than two years of regular household use. Nothing was done by us to this sofa other than sitting and lying on it. I called Ashley on 5/7, I was on hold for nearly an hour, and then hung up on. I called again, and after being bounced around to multiple people and more lengthy holds I was told that I needed to file a claim through Montage Furniture Services. Fine. After filing the claim, I was notified by MFS that a serviceman from Fast Furniture Repair would come to survey the damage. He did about two weeks later, and contacted MFS to notify them that it needed to be reupholstered, and then left. Yesterday, 6/3/20, I received a text message from MFS asking to rate my experience. I was under the impression that we were waiting for the repairman to contact us again and schedule a day to repair the sofa. However, apparently it is more cost effective to replace the sofa with another sofa from Ashley Home Furniture instead of order the repair upholstery and have the serviceman fix it. (That tells me a lot about the quality of furniture, btw). I wasn't informed of this, but rather had to call both Ashley and MFS to find this out. 6/4/20, I received a text message asking when I preferred delivery. I called Ashley Home Furniture and was notified that they would only be delivering the new sofa, and that its my responsibility to get rid of the old sofa. This sofa is damaged and in need of professional repair. I cannot sell it, I cannot give it away. I cannot donate it. Im forced to put it on the curb. This is so unacceptable and irresponsible. I'm basically forced to have this sofa go to a landfill. I will absolutely never ever shop here again. I will actively tell others to not only NOT shop here, but to boycott this company for their egregious policies that and lack of environmental awareness. I am disgusted that the company would rather add trash to a landfill than fix their terrible furniture the right way. I am on my way to the store to speak with someone personally. Whenever I call the Ashley HomeFurniture branch at 5151 Citrus Blvd, Harahan LA 70123, I am immediately transferred to a corporate line, where I am on hold for 30 min minimum each time. Everything was great until delivery. BE AWARE when your order is ready you will receive a TEXT with three options for a delivery date. DO NOT GO BY THIS INFORMATION. I had a choice of May 8th, 11th, or 12th. I chose the 8th (it was four days away) and began getting rid of my old bedroom furniture. Since all I had was a delivery date but no actual time frame I called the day before delivery. I found out my order wasn't scheduled to be delivered until the 15th. They even had the nerve to watch my 73 year old mother (with heart disease} struggling to move the coffee table. When we pushed back they had the nerve to cop an attitude and cite the terms of their delivery service. I will never buy anything or recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone. Found a couch we really liked at this store and when we got it delivered the cushions on the couch began to go flat within 3 days. We called and had a technician come out and he tells us that its normal wear on the sofa! After 3 days?!?! They offered to replace the cushions because of the protection plan and warranty. So we had to wait weeks for them to come out and when the technician comes out he says they didn't order all the things you need to have the cushions replaced. So now we have waited another 3 weeks and now they don't even show up. And I still haven't gotten a call. So i call customer service and they tell me the technician was late coming in because he didn't know the store opened at 12 and not 1 and he is now running behind. I am then told that there is nothing they can do but reschedule and when i ask for a manager they tell me they are gone for the day and will not be back until Monday. So a place opens at 12 and the manager is gone in less than 5 hours? So I call the store we purchased the sofa from and they say there is a change that is taking place on Monday where their store will start directly handling the customer service and "it sounds like they are just pawning it off on us." They give me the same excuse that they can't do anything until Monday. When I ask for a manger I am told she is out to lunch and has to call me back!! At 4:30pm? We paid a lot of money for a bad product and extremely poor customer service. They truly DO NOT CARE about you. They take your money and run. We work hard for our money and if they actually showed any interest in actually fixing the problem I would understand. But it seems like this is a common occurrence and they just don't care. My most recent visit here was my 2nd visit in a few years. I would like to say that both experiences were wonderful, but I can not. Located in the Elmwood Shopping Center beside the Home Depot, there is a large parking lot in front. I was greeted when walking in by someone asking if I needed a salesperson. I declined as I was looking for the perfect (for me) dresser or armoire. As I browsed, I saw a few things, but nothing jumped out at me screaming my name as I had hoped. The strange thing was that there seemed to be no staff on the floor to help. I saw several people behind desks making faces at their cell phones, I am only assuming they were taking pictures of themselves and not having strokes or something. No one asked if I needed assistance at all. At one point, I heard foot steps speeding towards me, so I stepped aside and turned just at the right moment because here was someone dressed as an employee practically running to get to the front of the store. I am sure they would have run me over! It was so odd. So, I left the store with no one speaking to me after that first employee when I walked in. I guess it is good they are hands off, but it was disconcerting. I guess that is why they had so few customers around lunch time on Black Friday. read more

It was delivered in December. This was fine because our house flooded from hurricane ida so we were not in a hurry to get it. When it was delivered on December, we did not unwrap it because he had to move it to storage for safe keeping while our house was still under construction. Feb we are finally back in our house and eagerly unwrap our match sofa and loveseat only to find out they do not match. One is brown and one is black. Called Ashley was told no refunds or exchanges after 72 hours of delivery. No expectations. This is a shame because we had and entire house to furnish. read more

We purchased a large sofa, and the extended warranty, and are regretting it daily. We received our large sectional sofa with a big gaping hole. The technician finally came out, but did not repair the sofa because Ashely did not authorize enough time for them. I really did not want to resource to YELP as I am not a fan of the common Yelper BUT this store needs to be addressed. I purchased furniture from this location with an extended warranty and was not told it was on back order.... for 2 months! I sat in a brand new home on the floor for over two months. Once I got the furniture, it broke! Outside of the store warranty I leaned on my extended warranty(270$) but no one at the store could figure out 1. My purchase number 2. Could call me back in a timely manner with the company's contact. 6 weeks later I finally got credible information to file a claim. Since my damaged product claim was filed after 30 days, they can't do anything. The sales rep who worked there was fired and customer service was zero help. They were at fault to give me information in a timely manner and selling faulty goods. This store wants your money and nothing else. Only recommendation or assistance they would give me was for me to physically go in store and purchase a service technician to "look" at the sofa for 150$!!! That's not including what repairs would cost. This is the second piece of furniture I have had issues with at Ashley and they have offered zero helpful results. Based on the recent experience that I had at this Ashley homestore, I would never shop with them again. I have never encountered such rude sales people. It seems like they are working against themselves to make a sale. I typed a long review and it got deleted, so I'm going to sum up my experience by saying this: I have visited the store on two separate occasions and called close to 10 times. I have money. I am ready to make a purchase. I know exactly what I want and somehow they can't seem to finalize the sale. Usually when I call the store, no one answers. One time someone picked up and left me on hold for close to 10 minutes before I finally hung up. In going into the store, the sales people have been wholly unhelpful. The second time I went in I was fully committed to making a purchase that night. I went back-and-forth on price with the sales person for a few minutes before he threw his hands up in the air and walked away from the table. He stated "I'll be over here if you need me." I was not being difficult in any way, I was only trying to make sure that I could afford the monthly payments. He did not want to work with me or inform me on what my payment would look like. It felt so unprofessional and I felt sort of insulted. I walked around for a little bit and then left the store without making a purchase, even though I knew what I wanted and was ready to buy it. I would gladly just purchase it online, but in order to take advantage of financing, you have to sign the paperwork in store. They should have someone available just to help with paperwork. This is an update to my 1st review. When I finally received my table it arrived already assembled off the truck w/ 3 wobbly chairs & 5 chunks / scratches / scuff marks b/t the chairs & table. When I went back into the store to have my issue addressed I was told that I was delivered a reject table that someone else returned. NOT EVEN A NEW TABLE FROM THE WAREHOUSE THAT I THOUGHT I PURCHASED. While waiting to speak with the very nice young employee at the credit counter a floor employee informed me that just as bad as it is to be a customer it is even worse being an employee of this store. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. Customer service is awful! I bought a dining set from this store and once delivered I noticed a chair was missing. Once I spoke to the delivery man he told me that it would be delivered soon(no one had communicated that I'd be missing a chair. Little did I k ow that I'd be waiting on that chair for over a MONTH. My delivery date has been delayed at least 5 times by now and they never EVER pick up their phones. I regret ever walking into that store. read more
