i went looking for a guest bedroom mattress at a big showroom store, and they did not have what I needed nor did they make suggestions. So I left but noticed the building next to their parking lot was Mattress Direct. My friend and I went to look. We were treated by Jose, who was knowledgeable and delightful. He helped me navigate through the maze of mattresses and terminology. I purchased on a queen mattress, and a Bunkie board, and two Bamboo cover pillows. Delivery day came. The mattress, Bunkie board, and the two pillows were delivered. But the Bunkie board did not fit into the bed frame. The whole bed looked lopsided. I called MD and Kenny answered. Boy, what a gem. He was understanding. I sent him photos and videos of the set up. He knew immediately what needed to be fixed. He then asked me if he could come and look at the frame. I agreed. He came and immediately saw the problem. He adjusted my frame and the headboard. He not only fixed the problem but made sure I was happy with my purchase. I have been trying to get a refund for the box springs that wasn't delivered since January 11th! Still nothing! I don't know how to get my money back, I have called twice and still no money. partly based on Orthopedists' opinion following hip surgery, finally got a new great 14 inch hybrid. The carrollton ave. Manager, Paul was soooo helpful at directing me, telling of one on discount, and the follow up could not have been better. After only 3 nights I can tell the difference. I would not recommend this store. They have false advertising. I paid over 3000 and supposed to have a in house period where I can exchange it and when I tried the salesperson said I had to buy a certain cover for the mattress not the one I have. No signs nor do my receipt says I have to buy a certain cover. Do not waste your time over there. read more

Super dishonest company! They will lie to your face about everything from financing to return policy then blame you for not reading the fine print on your 25 page receipt. Gary plays the nice guy until you give him your money, then he'll ghost you. Ron is just a jerk. Corporate offices are also horrible. It took six months for them to refund my money. I had the best time ordering my mattress. Gary Trahan was fun, patient, and he was respectful of my budget while taking into consideration my needs. My experience was so great I actually called Gary the next day to buy my mom a new bed. Same great service and again very respectful of my even smaller budget. There was one tiny mix up with my delivery. When I made the second purchase the system changed both delivery addresses to my mom's address. Christie helped my identify the problem and Gary worked it all out. My delivery was on time and it was a fairly quick process for both my mom and I. Gary even called me the next day to see if I had had a good night's sleep! I slept like a baby! read more

Ron made a mistake in explaining the financing. That's cool, mistakes happen. My complaint is that he was rude and insulting when I pointed out this mistake. He also hung up on me when I called back to cancel the next day. When he first checked my credit and looked at what was available to me, he said it would be $63 a month. By the end of the deal I was to be paying $90 a paycheck. When I told him that I could do better, he ask me"where are you going to do better with your credit?" That's unacceptable customer service. I did do better. Beds 4 less for the win!!!! read more

I have never had such a horrible experience dealing with a company. After our $2000 mattress was delivered and we slept on it, the company rep called to say that they undercharged us and that we needed to pay up an additional $150. Fast forward 6 months later, we hate the mattress. It is indented in the middle after only 6 months, which is insane. Did I mention it was $2000?! So we file a warranty claim. Well, to make a long story short, the warranty is a myth. I can't get an answer on it and I've been calling and emailing for 3 months now. I am sleeping on the worst mattress ever and fuming about it. I'm giving up hope that it will ever get resolved. I just wasted $2000. Don't do what I did. Let me start off by saying that Suzan and Christie are amazing and helpful! But that's it. We went in and purchased 2 mattresses, 4 pillows, 2 sets of bed sheets and a mattress protect pad. Well, first, the delivery was late on the day it was supposed to be here, had to miss a wedding ceremony because of it. Also the delivery driver just came to the door and rang the bell and handed me paperwork. No "Hello" or "Hi, I'm from Mattress Direct." It was very weird he barely spoke and the whole interaction was awkward. Then, second, the mattresses were WAY firmer then the display at the store; apparently I have to "break-in" the mattress. A $1,300 mattress shouldn't have to be broken in. The last mattress I purchased was about 8 years ago, cost $750 and was the exact same feel as the one on the sales floor. (This mattress didn't come from Mattress Direct). I've had the mattress for 3 weeks now and it's not comfortable. I went in today to return the mattress protect cover because it cost $200 and it's not comfortable either( it's the SNOW one. Beware. It causes your bed sheets to slip slide all over it and it somehow made the mattress less comfortable as well). I was told I can't return it for sanitary reasons. I get that but it was $200! I mean cmon! Christie was very polite about it and called her manager, Matt, for me to speak to. Matt came off as a bit condescending and smart-assish. Long story short, too late, I was going to use my (1) "Comfort Exchange" to get a new mattress. Christie convinced me to try jumping on the mattress to break it in and see if that helps. She explained that I have (1) year to use this comfort exchange but I can only do it once and she wanted me to be sure of this decision before I wasted my one exchange. So I thanked her and I guess I will give that a try. Still stuck with the $200 crappy mattress protecter though. Ugh! read more

I cannot say enough about how helpful Elmer and Wayne are! They made sure my sister had an amazing Christmas by pulling a lot of strings and making sure we got her furniture delivered by Christmas. I cannot urge you enough not to do business with this company. I spent a week and a half trying to place an order for three mattresses. I placed 5-6 calls trying to get answers. Everytime i was told "i will call you back" i never received a call back. I held out faith they would at least deliver when requested. They never delivered. I have never wanted to write a review to effect a business in a negative way, but this company deserves to go out of business. There so many other mattress stores don't waste your time on this one. I could not have imagined a better experience buying a new mattress for the 1st time in 20 years. Wayne Johnson was professional, extremely knowledgeable and patient. He did not ask me a price range. He had me try several mattresses for about 4 -5 minutes each and in that time, I could tell whether I felt comfortable or fidgety. His low key style and informative presentation made me trust him. I believe I got the mattress for a reasonable prices and the VIP rewards system is a real incentive to purchase a Serta mattress again in the future. Plus the comfort cannot be beat.
