I had been skeptical of Ashley Furniture going in, but I've been pleasantly surprised. A set of couches had a defect and it was no trouble getting a credit. We went into the store on 4/26/17 and found some new couches we really like. I believe Ashley does a good job backing their products and taking care of customers. That has been our experience. I will note that we had 2 sales people approach. The first was a quick "if you need anything let me know" type of pass by to lock us down as his customer. We were in the store for a good hour and never heard from him again. When we did have questions, another sales guy asked if he could answer any questions or if we had been helped. He was very helpful at explaining pricing (bigger discount than we thought!) and shipping, etc. We bought from him. Overall a good experience for us. read more

Had a great shopping experience, Toni was great, she was very friendly and helpful. The furniture and customer service quality after purchase is just not there. When we arrived the table was not assembled (we were told it would be) We got the table all the way home, put it together, flipped it over, and there was a huge scratch on the top. We paid $70 more than the online price so we could get it earlier, for that much we could've got it delivered and set up. My wife and I walked into the store on 9/29. We sat in the chair we wanted to purchase. We wanted black, but they only had brown. The sales rep, Kenyata Weber, ordered the chairs for us and we picked them up Saturday 10/1 from the warehouse. I assembled one of the chairs Sunday and realized that the sales rep sold us the wrong chair. This chair was much shorter than the one we wanted. I went to return the chair this morning and this is where it has been a disaster. The Store manager says we must call customer service but we likely wont be getting a refund. Customer service says the store manager has to issue a refund but they can't do anything. The employee sold us the wrong item. We have 6 chairs, 3 boxes. 2 of the boxes are unopened and only 1 of the chairs have been assembled and we're being told "Your Loss." read more

I was starting to think it might never happen but my friends it finally did! After half a year without living room furniture, we are the proud owners of a new set thanks to Ashley. That means our house can actually start to look like a home as opposed to a storage unit people happen to be living out of. We had looked all over town with no success. Rooms to Go, Nebraska Furniture Mart, department stores, The Dump, Wiers, Freeds, Stacey, outlet stores, even IKEA out of pure desperation. Ashley was one of the last on our list, and neither of us went in expecting much which is always when you seem to find exactly what you are looking for. Our problem was mostly a difference in taste. My husband likes cold modern furniture that looks uncomfortable, whereas I prefer inviting furniture that immediately makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay a while. Our home has a light grey and white color scheme, so we needed furniture to both match that and fit easily into our awkward living room space without looking bulky. Chris Moore assisted us and did a wonderful job. He happens to also be a designer and figured out a way for us to get the most from our space. Our living room is an open concept L shape, so he suggested to put the large couch on the bigger wall and instead of a love seat get two oversized chairs to close in the other two sides. That way we only purchase one ottoman and use it in place of a coffee table so it can become extra seating when needed. Just do a throw blanket and tray over the top when it's not in use and there you go! We loved the idea. He also helped us find an art deco style rug my husband loved which will fit in perfectly with both our new couch and color scheme while protecting our hardwood floors. Right now if you choose to finance its 24 months at 0% interest which is what we did. The monthly payments are very affordable (even with the warranty added on), and all they ask is 12% down at signing. The rug had to come with us that day because the furniture is delivered from a separate warehouse, so anything else you buy in store has to be taken with you when you leave. We also found a dark grey headboard we liked and a gorgeous painting that I wanted to hang in my bathroom over my soaker tub. The painting was over $300 so I passed, since I know I can find something just as cute for much cheaper elsewhere. The headboard we will be back for though as soon as we pay off our recent purchases. I'm so glad we found Ashley and can't wait for the set to get here in two weeks so we can see what everything will look like once it's all together! read more

While Tanya was friendly and very helpful, her manager, Sammy Hindi, was very rude and unprofessional! Unfortunately, they lost a sell to Rooms to Go! Tanya quoted us a price for a bed and mattress but when she entered into the computer it was $300 more. Sammy would not honor the price quoted. When he came to speak to me, he didn't even introduce himself, shake my hand, or ask me what happened. Just said "I heard, and no we will not sell it for that" and walked away! While inspecting the dinning room table I noted it appeared to be a solid wood top. Heaving construction and from underneath all looked like a quality piece of furniture. Due to scratches we decided to strip and re-stain then cover with polyurethane. However upon sanding I discovered the bait and switch this company has done the wood is not solid but a veneer and a thin one at that for the table top. Just a 220 grit paper starts to reveal the Particle wood beneath. I doubt most people are aware of this until they decide to re-stain the wood. It's a sham to charge some one $1000 but cut corners and not disclose that it's veneer at solid wood prices. read more

If i could leave no stars i would!!! Never again will i purchase anything from Ashleys furniture. Do not buy into warranty protection plan either! It is all a scam. A waste of money. Save that money and invest the money in your childs savings. We purchased a dining table at this Ashleys store and as soon as it was delivered there was a structural crack in one of the legs. Someone came by to fix it within their one year warranty but "lo and behold" the leg cracks again in same spot and progresses into something bigger. What a piece of crap!!! Poorly built. Poor quality. Poor craftmanship. Platinum 5 year warranty useless. Ashleys furniture customer care useless. Basically they said we're out of luck and we have to pay to have it repaired out of pocket. Whats the point in that? So the poorly built table that has been a problem since we purchased it is now our problem I will never refer anybody i know to Ashleys ever again unless this is rectified.and only our problem. I purchased a bed in November. It came without the hardware so we could not put the bed together. After calling numerous times, I drove to the Grapevine location where the bed was purchased. They told me I had to work with the distribution center but they did assist in contacting the distribution center. I finally received an email from Ashley stating that they would send me the hardware (see below). As of January 8, 2021, I am still waiting for the hardware and the bed is still sitting in my bedroom waiting to be put together. I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. The 2 guys that came to put together my furniture were so careless and didn't put any of my furniture together correctly or moved just so fast they skipped steps. We arrived at the store to look at dining room furniture in mid January and I immediately told them I had concerns about their delivery timeframes because a co-worker had problems with deliveries, and I was assured it would all go smoothly. They told us we would have our dining room furniture by 3/15/22, after waiting 2 months, and we were okay with that due to moving into a new home. Today, we were told it could be as late as June. Delivered the nightstands and dresser and told that due to supply chain issues the bed would be delivered in January, then February and now they are telling me that it will be April before they (likely) will have the bed. Asked if I can replace the dresser and nightstands and pick something that is in stock and was told no dice. I asked what if the bed does not arrive in April and was told my only option would be to get a refund for the bed and end up with a mismatched bedroom set. My experience from beginning to end was very pleasant. I was helped by Daniel and he was knowledgeable and very accommodating. I purchased my bed and mattress here and on top of that I got 20 percent off on the whole transaction. First of all, I wouldn't be fooled by their excellent reviews on Google. They ask (pretty much expect you to do it right there in the store) to post a review about their customer service right after you make a purchase on a review site, and they advertise to leave it on Google. To which I don't deny Lisa had given me excellent sales customer service initially, and so like everyone else that posted, I mentioned the names of the sales and finance rep commending them on their service and how great they were. The problem with this store is after the initial purchase. So yesterday my furniture was delivered, but it had many problems. It was damaged in multiple places on the headboard including scratches and dents, the drawers would not close on the sides of the bed, there was a piece missing initially, and the screws would just pop up out of the planks that hold the mattress (I bought the Kira Queen Storage Bed). However, I'll leave reviewing of the product under their website. Anyways, I had to resend it back to be reordered, meaning I refused the delivery. I didn't want a technician to come out because after waiting 3 weeks of getting a bed, sleeping on the floor with back problems, and paying over $1000 dollars for a product, it should have arrived in perfect condition. BEWARE: THERE IS ALSO ONLY A 3 DAY RETURN POLICY IF YOU DON'T REFUSE THE DELIVERY. AFTER THAT, YOU ARE PRETTY MUCH STUCK WITH THE PRODUCT. I READ THIS FINE PRINT AFTER I SENT MY FURNITURE BACK AND I'M HAPPY THAT I DID. Afterwards, I called the customer service department and they left me so uneasy after speaking with them. They said that my furniture will automatically be re-ordered after it reaches the warehouse and then when it comes in again, it will be scheduled for delivery. Which is not until 3 weeks for now (approximately since they didn't give me a date or verification). So, after sleeping on the floor for 3 weeks, I receive my furniture, it is damaged, and I have to wait ANOTHER 3 WEEKS to get another bed. That is absolutely ridiculous! Not only that, I asked for a confirmation number or a reference number to confirm that my furniture is re-ordered. I was refused that, and so I just am supposed to wait without any email or confirmation on when my furniture is expected to be back again. What type of satisfaction and guarantee does this give the customer. What if it never arrives? I messaged the initial contact I had with Lisa with the number she was messaging me on to update my order to explain this, and nothing. No response, acknowledgement, or even I'll get back to you. After this horrendous experience, I don't have the patience to wait 3 more weeks for a bed again. I called customer service this morning to get a refund initiated as I don't want this product anymore at all. They said I have to physically go into the store. So now I have to drive down 4 hours tomorrow from Houston on my Labor Day weekend just to take care of this in this store. And after this whole experience I don't have that much expectation for Ashley Furniture. My parents and I have been a long time Ashley Furniture user, actually most of our furniture in my parents' house currently is all Ashley, but bought from Houston. But after this experience, not only do I not want to ever go back to this store, but I don't want to go to any Ashley Furniture ever. I'd rather by furniture a little expensive rather than go through this experience of wasting my time, money, and sacrificing my back for this ridiculousness. I just want my money back and take my business elsewhere where not only I'll get faster delivery, but not have to deal with this absurd customer service. Don't just rely on Google reviews cause they can be deceiving. If you find the furniture defective, send it back right there and then. In mid May 2020 I purchased a dining room table and 4 chairs and a shelving unit. I was very happy with my salesperson. That is the only positive thing I can say about my experience with Ashley Furniture. Everything was set to be delivered on 6/2/20. We received a text that they were on their way and I headed back to my house. I called my dad to let him know Ashley was headed that way and so were my mom and I but he didn't answer. That was because they were already at the house (and before my scheduled time frame). When I got to the house, the delivery truck was gone. I checked out the furniture and discovered that 3 of the 4 chairs rocked. I called customer service and they sent me to warranty. Warranty reorder 6 front legs and told me to call when they came in. 5 of the 6 legs came in and I called. They sent out the tech and the tech said that he was surprised that they didn't send out a tech before they ordered parts but it was the back legs and not the front. So he ordered for new backs. When the backs came in, I called and they sent out another tech. He came in - no mask - and didn't even bother with the 4 backs. He proceeds to pull out a rubber mallet and pounds on the chairs. He told me, in a round about way, that the chairs were not good quality and I would just have to hit the seats of the chairs every so often to make sure they don't rock. I am not hitting chairs with a rubber mallet to keep them from rocking. I called the warranty department who said the ticket was closed out and sent me back to Ashley. Ashley order 4 new chairs, told me that the manager at the warehouse would check them out before they delivered. However, they couldn't take the legs or the backs back so I have to dispose of them myself. After multiple delays, which I get, I finally got my 4 new chairs - of which 2 still rocked. So they order 4 more chairs to exchange, again. On Saturday they sent me a text to pick a delivery date. I chose Wednesday the 12th AND called and confirmed. I just received another text to set up delivery for next week. I called and they told me I was wrong and didn't have an appointment for tomorrow because I hadn't received a time frame that they would be out. I paused to take a breath to calm down and she hung up on me. I called back and they basically told me I was out of luck and to pick another day. I called customer service and they do not care about customer service. This has been going on since June 2nd and here it is August 11th and I still do not have 4 working chairs to use with my table. Bottom line: Do not buy from Ashley Furniture because if any thing is wrong, customer service and their warranty are completely worthless. DO NOT PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! I've had an issue with every piece of furniture purchased and have work orders open since December 2022 with no resolution. If you call their customer service line that is outsourced, they'll hang up on you or pretend like they are going to research the issue and then just transfer you to the survey. This has happened at least 30 times. When you attempt to call the store and ask to speak with them, they'll leave you on hold or simply hang up. On one occasion, I asked to speak to a manager and was on hold for 35 mins. I happened to be in the area, so I just drove to the store. Upon pulling into the parking lot there were literally no cars in the parking lot and as I proceeded to enter the store with my phone on speaker you could hear the call ringing while everyone was just standing talking to one another. I think they literally train their employees to avoid answering calls or talking with anyone. Even the vendor they use (AHM) to work on warranty items has nothing nice to say about the company and has said they by far have the worst customer service. So, your buying experience may be good, but after that, it goes downhill from there. I went into this store and bought a couch on May 1st. I was told that due to COVID, and this couch being out of stock, it would take up to 6 weeks to get delivered. Ok fine. Roughly 2 weeks later I received a call from Lisa, the salesperson who sold it to me, that the earliest date it could be delivered was Friday June 19th. Not wanting to take a day off from work, I asked if Saturday June 20th was available. She said it was and confirmed that I was scheduled for delivery on June 20th. This is 7 weeks from the date of purchase. Today, I received a text asking me to schedule my delivery, with the earliest date being June 26th. I called, and explained the situation to customer service, who informed me that I was not actually scheduled for the 20th, even though Lisa specifically called me to schedule this date, and due to the fact they sent out several hundred of the same texts today, now July 1st is the earliest available date. 2 months after I bought it Horrible customer service with nothing offered in the way of reparations for the ridiculous delay except apologies and promises of having some vague person call me back. After speaking with the assistant manager today, my couch is now back ordered until August 1st. I will never buy anything from Ashley Furniture again. She agreed to issue a full refund today, and if i don't receive my full refund, I will be contacting the corporate office. So now, I no longer get the couch I wanted and will most likely have to wait an additional 2 months for a couch because of these delays. read more

BUYER'S BEWARE: My fiancé and I purchased a couch from here about 3 years ago and paid an additional fee to get the "5 Year Buyer's Protection Plan." When purchasing, the salesman said that "the protection plan isn't like any others, they always fulfill the claims, they will replace the entire couch or even give us all our money back even if we ran a knife through it ourselves." We recently had an incident where we needed to use this plan and it was a nightmare! They were extremely rude, wouldn't call us back, and gave every possible excuse to not pay anything towards fixing what was a manufacturers defect. The worst shopping experience I have ever had, avoid salesman Daniel Ayo at all cost. I placed an order three months ago and Daniel promised me that the items would be delivered at the end of April. There's no update from Ashley since then and I made a call to Daniel when the promised delivery date was approaching. He told me he'd update me on the order status once he figured out what happened with my order but he'd never called me back and when I called him and tried to follow up with him, he transferred all of my calls to voicemail. I called Ashley customer service and knew that the delivery date is actually pushed all the way to Sept and one piece is discontinued. Daniel basically ghosted his customers when there is an issue with the order and I had to cancel my order with the customer service after waiting for three whole months. For any decent customer service, I would expect them to at least inform me about the delay/discontinue of the order and provide me with a resolution. I got none of these from this Ashely store and have wasted tons of time and energy in figuring out what happened to my order by myself. Avoid this Ashley Store! read more

Awful service. I purchased two bedroom Sets. One for my self and another for my children. The kids bed was damaged. I went back to the store and asked for help. The referred me to customer care (only available by phone. ) Phone agents are all rude and act as if you are an inconvenience or asking for a favor. After about 5 calls ,and 20 emails. We went in not expecting a whole lot and aggressive sales people...what we got was a warm reception followed by attentive service and a great deal on a king bed, dresser and a queen box spring. Susan and Tim were very helpful in getting our purchase squared away and setting up delivery. We would recommend the store for quality purchases without that car sales lot feeling. Quality furniture, great sale for Veterans' Day and even though the delivery date wasn't set while we were there they gave us an assurance they would check on it and contact us with the information. read more

We ordered a tv console in early July, it was delivered a whole month later, damaged. I called and emailed pictures and no response. It's been a week. This place is an absolute joke. Was greeted at the door by a guy from Nigeria who barely spoke English and when I told him what I was looking for said "ok, go look around." After walking around for about 5-10min went to the desk and asked for more help. They got on the intercom and the assistant manager came over. The guy acted as if he was going to sell me drugs. Didn't stand up straight, kept staring at my fiancé like a piece of meat, and told me that the product I wanted was 25 miles away at some warehouse. Then when I said thanks for helping me, he just turned around and walked off. Upon leaving, I noticed that every single associate was sitting on the furniture and on their phones. Hopefully the place has wifi because if not, 8hrs of being on your phone is sure going to run up the data plan for these associates. It's sad that they have a job only to pay for their phone bills here. Not sure how this place is even in business. If I could give a -100 stars I would. The worse experience I have ever encountered. We purchased a round dining room table and chairs in Oct.8th 2021. The first deliver date of 11/5 was canceled without any notification. On 11/6 went to the Grapevine Store store "manager" was at lunch and not available. 2nd delivery date scheduled for 11/12/21. There were damages to chairs, table was unstable, delivery person took pictures of damages and sent them to 'someone". We were advised to keep furniture because it was fixable. We were then advised that we would get a phone call that same day or the next, we never did. We then called GRT (Guest Response Team) which is in Mexico. Repair service came out 1 month later 12/20 touched up chairs and stated that the table was not fixable. Table was unstable by design, too top heavy and not properly supported by center pedestal. Went back to Grapevine Store manager was again "busy" surprise, surprise! Handed off to James Cluley I showed him the same table on his sales floor and he to agreed the table was not safe due to being top heavy. James had the person who does the set of of furniture take a look at the table and he also agreed there was no fix to it. Next step was to exchange the round table to a rectangle table. Exchange was "approved" We selected another table but it was on backorder would be available in Feb. In Feb we were told backorder now until March. March 25th table was delivered, it never left the truck because the driver pointed out a major defect with the table as well as a large scratch going across one corner. Called the Grapevine Store spoke with Rosie gave her an update on what was going on, she could not help us until the end of the day when the delivery drivers were done for the day. Asked to speak with the store manager and guess what HE WAS NOT AVAILABLE! We ended up showing up at the store. NO customer should ever have to return to a store 5 times to try to get things settled. Rosie tried to help as much as she could, Spoke with Brock the "store manager" he said he could not do anything until the delivery drivers had finished for the day. Had to wait until the next day, next day called GRT again in Mexico waited on hold x 1 hr after asking to speak with manager spoke with Sofia, let her know that we just wanted EVERYTHING picked up mind you we still have the round table at our house because they had said to keep it from the beginning and were to do an exchange when the rectangle table was delivered. Sofia advised us that they have a NO RETURN POLICY! She then arrange for another delivery on 03/30. Today 03/30 we took off work for the delivery, the delivery drivers show up start to unpack the table and guess what IT IS MISSING ONE OF THE LEGS TO THE TABLE!!!! Delivery drivers call "whoever" repack the table tell us to call GRT and leave. We call GRT well they can't help us because the delivery drivers have to finish their days delivery's first! They have our hands tied behind our backs! We are at a loss of what to do. They will not let us return the furniture. This has been going on since Oct 2021, they have our money but we don't have our furniture! Now we have to set up another date for table to be delivered. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY!!!!! The dining set was delivered with no problems at all by a super polite crew who were extremely careful in the unloading & set-up of our purchase. The sofa delivery, sadly, was another story. The guys who delivered it literally shoved our $700 sofa through the front door after deciding to unscrew the feet on it while they were balancing it over our porch entry. I asked them to set it down outside & I would go unlock our back gate & open up our French doors so they could bring it in that way without risking damage to the sofa or front door. They refused & got the sofa inside. In process, they nearly took out our blinds, light fixture and a nearby table lamp. Thankfully, the sofa was well-wrapped & endured no harm. However, our front door frame was so badly gouged that part of it needs replacing. The frame is mahogany. Ashley sent out a repairman last Saturday--four weeks post-delivery of the sofa. When my husband asked how the guyw as planning to fix the frame, he said he was going to spackle the holes with some polyresin. After we explained how the damage occurred, and after the repairman took a closer look at the damage, he agreed that the frame needed replacing. However, he had only been dispatched to fill in the holes, NOT to replace a partial frame. So, he left saying that someone from Ashley would call us on Monday, 5/2. Now Friday, my husband called--yet again--and explained the entire situation to the assistant manager of the Grapevine store. Again, we were told that "a report would be filed and someone will call you." This is a real shame for Ashley. We had a great salesman & felt like we got quality furniture at a good price. We are newly married (second time around for each of us) & have a lot of money to spend. We still have much to purchase; a master bedroom set, coffee table, lamps, and more. But I seriously doubt if Ashley will receive a repeat visit from us. Unless we decide to go and picket the Grapevine store to get this door damage resolved--good grief! Received a call from the manager & they are offering us a $200 settlement to basically get us off their backs & to close this case. No concerns shown about trying to keep us as customers. We're getting a bid on the dorr repair & will be following up with them soon. Giving two stars ONLY because the first sale and delivery of the dining room set did go smoothly, & I want to give credit for that. Bottomline-These stores need to get it that consumers vote with our dollars, and Ashley Furniture of Grapevine is no longer our candidate of choice. Update- the store manager, Domingo, offered us a $200 check so that we could hire our own handyman to repair the door to our liking. I also negotiated a $100 store credit to be used for a future purchase. After all, as I told him, we had one good and one bad experience. Is their goal to pay off a customer & make them go away or is it to try & win back future business? He was agreeable to my proposal. We will probably give Ashley one more try, however, we may lean toward a cash & carry, small item purchase rather than a delivered one. read more

**** WARNING **** WARNING **** If you buy the insurance on your furniture and you call in to get it repaired. They will NOT HONOR you claim if you do not report the breakage within FIVE days. In my case I called in because the recliner broke. Called and and told them oh I guess it broke a couple of weeks ago. ---- They said because I didn't report it IMMEDIATELY they would not fix it. I would like to give a special shout out to Mr. Enrique. This was my third time coming to this store in the last few weeks and he has been by far the best salesperson! He immediately greeted me (unlike some of the other sales people in this store) I told him exactly what I was looking for and found several options THEN helped me narrow it down until I found the person bedroom set and couch. He was professional, helpful, and personable. I will definitely be back and will definitely give Mr. Enrique my business once again. Thank you sir!
