Update with the journey of in-door shopping experience. I purchased with been told above $2.5K will have 15% off with Ashley's credit card. So I filled out the application with personal info; after 10 mins, my credit was approved, but there was only a 5% off discount, so I decided to use my credit card without using their finance program with TD bank, and I told them I didn't need to apply for a credit card because 5% off is not worth expending or lower my credit score. 10 days later, I got a credit card without my consent in the notice on email. The whole scheme of using 15% off to get your information and tell you is 5% off when the credit is approved. Now I got a credit card without my consent? And if I cancel, it will lower my credit score... WTF is that? After calling the store for customer service to address my concerns, the store manager called 15 minutes later to apologize and tell us when the credit card was approved; even we did not want a credit card, to keep the promise from the beginning 15% off when credit was approved, he is willing to reimburse the 15% off back to my Amex card account. Even the card will be mailed to my mailbox soon. It won't affect my credit as long as I don't use it in the next 6 months. Am I going back? They are willing to listen, solve the problems, and keeps the promise to customer's requests in the end. The answer is definitely a yes! read more

We're happy with the furniture itself, but the overall experience at Ashley Store - Grapevine left us disappointed. We purchased in-store over the weekend, only to discover the same items were discounted by 50% just days later. It's frustrating that no one informed us of the upcoming promotion, especially when we were there right before it began -- it felt like a missed opportunity at best, or a deliberate upsell at worst. To make matters worse, the delivery team spoke no English, making communication very difficult during setup. Once the furniture is delivered and signed for, returns are not allowed, which adds pressure to accept everything as-is -- even if there are issues. A little more transparency and better customer service would go a long way. read more

I want to give two very gracious sales experts a huge Thank you! Thank you to Anthony the Sleep Expert of Grapevine, TX and a huge thank you to Daniel! They both spent a lot of time helping me find the best mattress and furniture/decor. We looked at all makes and models before choosing the Stearns & Foster, Estate Collection Soft pillowtop. I was extremely excited until the mattress arrived..It looked exactly like the store model; however, it was like I had just laid down on cement. I thought it needed time..Unfortunately, my 90 days was coming to an end and we needed to rectify asap as the mattress I received was AWFUL. Anthony came to the rescue.. He again spent a lot of time and concluded that I received a defective mattress. Anthony went above and beyond to get my mattress replaced. He was able to have the the exact same mattress sent in hopes that the previous mattress truly was defective. My new Mattress arrived today and within seconds I could tell it was much different just by sitting on it. It is now exactly as I had anticipated, soft, comfortable and not stiff as a board. Having a couch/recliner from Ashley. The quality of their products is extremely LOW grade. After having our couch only 3 weeks, both sides of our recliner broke. Tried to have it returned but local manager said they are only a distributor and having Nothing to do with clients after sale of product. Provides ZERO support. The warranty support is TERRIBLE. slow response . Warranty plays a shell game you call one to report it then they want pictures. I have received terrible service to get a sofa repaired under the warranty for a manufactured defect. So far, I have had 3 repair visits with the issue not being fixed. Ashley warranty department works with a 3rd party to get items repaired. There has been many miscommunications between both the repair center and the 3rd party. I asked for a supervisor twice and I have yet to receive a supervisor call. Supervisors are unavailable over the phone. I even called the store for help and still no assistance. There is a manufacture defect in out sofa. They have yet offered to replace it even though I have asked. I would think twice before buying any furniture. I know I won't go back. I'm now scheduled for a 4th visit and unsure if they will fix the issue. It's unfortunate they don't care about my time spent waiting for them to arrive . I was disappointed in the quality of the furniture once I got it home. One of the bed side rails was broken when we had the furniture delivered. Ashley promptly sent up a new one. (I was told the furniture was "real wood" when we were looking at it) To my amazement when I removed the old broken part I found I had just paid for cheap particle board that looked like real wood. I guess as an uninformed consumer I share some of the blame. I would have happily paid more for higher quality "wood" furniture. We plan on moving in a couple years, from my college days I found particle board does not move well. I guess this was a learning lesson. If you are going to spend thousands of dollars get that "real wood furniture" in writing and don't end up like me. All sales staff I dealt at the store and the one the person on the phone when I called about the broken bit were friendly and professional. They took their time in providing service to me. I bought a mattress and a mattress frame from Ashley. They said they were going to deliver it on March 18 even before that. They keep moving the date of delivery now we are possibly on April 2. Apparently they sell things they don't even know if they have in stock. Don't know when this bed is going to be delivered and no one can't give a straight answer. I bought an electronically powered couch and chair at this store. The couch was on sale but the chair was not. The couch was backed up to another couch so that the back was hidden. The chair on the floor did not match it but the salesman, Scott Jansen, said they did have it in stock. When the furniture was delivered, the first thing I noticed was the back of the couch. The couch is a light cream color and the back is the ugliest brown I have ever seen. The chair on the floor was blue with a similar colored back. I called immediately after the delivery to tell Scott I was extremely unhappy with the back of the couch. I had told him at purchase that due to the way the area this couch would go was arranged, the back would show. He asked if the delivery people had left and I told him they had just left. He then said it's too late. Once you have accepted delivery, you can't exchange the furniture. I feel the blue chair on the floor was intentional and deceptive because if the chair that matched the couch had been on display, the back would have been exposed and I don't think anyone would buy this couch with its ugly back. The manager was no help either and showed me the tiny print where this information was included in the contract. Scott did not point this out when I signed, which I believe a reputable salesman would have done. I have purchased here several times in the past but NEVER AGAIN. If I could give zero stars, I would. Got scammed into buying this bed set during COVID. Many things went wrong just days after my purchase. However- The worst part is the failing structure of the queen size bed I bought. The skeleton of the bed is held up by wooden slates. only every other skate is actually held up by a sturdy pole. Now less than a year or so later each slate without a pole under the bed is bending. And only months after the bed was installed the only screwed in slates at each end are off. The edges of my bed lose their entire sturdyness and you almost sink in when the end slates are moved in further to the center of the bed. It's just awful. This bed is the reason I don't sleep well at night. I am considering going to the Better Business bureau. Horrible furniture, zero comfort, and ZERO regard for the aftermath you face once you sign papers confirming your purchase. Buy here with great caution. Delivery has been a total disaster from scheduling to missed dates to sales and customer service personnel being beyond clueless. We were completely deceived about a purchase of a temperpedic bed. We were promised it was a guaranteed return. Now they are saying it can only be exchanged. The automatic lights on the bed are causing our son to have seizures. The associates who filter the call never put you through to the manager but put you on hold for 30 minutes. I have left multiple messages with no response. The store told me it was Temperpedics policy so I called Temperpedic. They could not have been nicer and said had we bought it directly from them they would absolutely fully refund us. They explained once the store purchased from them they have no control. When I relayed that information to Ashley they said it is a Temperpedic policy which is an absolute lie. I plan on contacting the Americans with Disability Act advocates as this bed was for our special needs child who cannot sleep on it unless Ashley furniture wants him to die. So far they have not showed they care at all. It is the coldest and most frustrating experience I've ever had. I won't stop pursuing justice in this matter. What they are doing to people through false promises & manipulation is criminal. This all makes me so sad. Let me add to the list if negative reviews... I purchased a bedroom set as well as a large TV stand in January. It's now August and I am still waiting for most of my delivery. I've only received the stand and the headboard... at this point it is ridiculous how long I've waited. They lead you to believe in store that the items will be delivered in 4-12 weeks, but they really push saying it will be closer to 4 weeks. I think this is all said in order to get you to make a purchase with the assumption everything will be alright. Clearly they know they are unable to fill the orders they are setting up, otherwise they would not have so many recent negative reviews. Really they should have nothing on display that they can not reasonably fill and I've said this to them. I was going to order dining room furniture from them a month later but I was so afraid I would end up waiting months for it as well. I've gone to Nebraska furniture and was able to order my dining room furniture and it got delivered within weeks. Went back to Nebraska and order my living room furniture and again got it within weeks. So what's the problem Ashley Furniture?!? And I'll add that they offer no discounts or free delivery for the trouble and extensive delays. All I get from them is an agent extending my delivery date every 3 weeks when I call! After months of saving up (REFUSE to charge anything on credit) to start furnishing our home, we visited a couple of stores before finally deciding to buy something from Ashley's. We were greeted by Daniel Ayo as soon as we walked in and only asked us a couple of times if we had any questions...this is great because we really dislike pushy salesman. We had our eye on a dresses but before commuting to this purchase my husband and I decided to visit one more store. 30 minutes later we were back to speak to Daniel to make our purchase. We got an incredible price on our dresser. Regular price $1,400 but after Labor Day sale and discounts we were able to get it for $709!! We are then sat at a table by Daniel to fill out the paperwork for delivery. 10 minutes later our name is called by the lady running the register/customer service desk. Can't remember her name, but I do remember she had red hair that was super curly and wore glasses. We get to the desk no questions are asked or conversation is made. A couple of minutes later she just hands us our receipt and says "thank you". By this time I'm annoyed because the minute the sale was made the attentiveness changes. Daniel just sat us down and asked us to fill a paper then leaves and we never see him again. So now I'm standing there, lost, and I annoyingly asked "and it gets delivered when?!" She just "someone will call you with that." Fast forward a couple of days later, I'm reviewing our receipt and realized that we weren't offered any warranty, so I call the store but my call goes to the corporate office. I try to purchase the warranty but the lady at the corporate office advises me that we have 3 business days from delivery to purchase it. She offers to transfer me to the store but the policy is 3 business days and there's nothing the store will be able to do about it. We went for the first time in a while a few months ago. We were pleasantly surprised not to find all traditional ornate furniture with patterns that are not our style. They actually do have some nice looking transitional pieces. The prices are alright. What I have a challenge with is that it is a more traditional sales pitch. Anytime my husband and I would stop to discuss what we liked and did not like about something a sales person would be there. It kind of turned us off buying anything here. We just want time to think and discuss. I have no problem going to look for someone to help us when the time comes if we can have an uninterrupted conversation. This was such an easy buy of a Serta hybrid bridle land mattress with a motion base. Our sales person Sammey Lusk was very knowledgeable regarding mattresses and didn't trying to over sale us a mattress that we did not need. We walked away with what we wanted and needed and the manager was able to work out a great deal for the bundle that we couldn't refuse. We saved $3000 on what Rooms to go wanted to sell us and the sale person was very pushy at Rooms to go that I didn't want to buy anything and not at all helpful. I want to WARN you guys, this people are SHADY! they will rip you off in a very dishonest way, they are liars and keep information from you until you have already signed, rented a u-haul and gotten help to move your furniture. They sold our family crap furniture and we didn't get warranty because it was "display." The sales woman never mentioned the no warranty and promised a substantial discount, they backed down on the discount we were suppose to get *after* we were already parked outside the store with the moving truck; they told us that the living room set was on display for only a few weeks prior to us buying it, so we were like ok. Well...we come home and I am certain it wasn't the same set, it was rough; not super soft like it was at the store, it had a defective stitching on one of the leg rest. After a week; we realized that one of the cushions had a rip at the bottom fabric, so it started sinking a bit, we paid 1600.00! We purchased a dining room set from Ashley. 2 weeks out of warranty and one chair is falling apart. They want $135 to come look at it plus $90 an hour to fix it (assuming it can be fixed). It's a $122 chair that is discontinued. It may be a quick fix, but not sure I trust an hourly open ended quote. I would even bring it to them to fix. Barely out of warranty and unwilling to take care of the problem. I was not offered an extended warranty at purchase. This was my first purchase from this company. Be ware: Absolutely no Exchange or return policy. Ashley had good selection of bar stools and the salesperson seemed to be knowledgeable and helpful. She was very clear about the limits of the store warranty and offering the extended warranty. However, she did not specify that there was absolutely no return or exchange options (short of damage). When we received delivery the stools looked good but when we put them in the room the color was too jarringly white. We contacted Ashley about exchanging for another model but were told they would not return or exchange. Looking at our receipt is does state this in small letters in page 2 after our signature on page 1. Be careful with these guys. I took out their credit option - which actually turns out to be a type of credit card - and assumed the payments were paying out the balance. It hit two years which was apparently the 'end of the promotion' and I was charged $1700+ interest on a $1300 balance!! I can't even imagine the interest rate that is. I paid out the balance and immediately closed the account. I'm lucky I'm not struggling financially which I'm sure most people who take out these kind of promotions probably are. I'll never shop there again. Ever. Ryan of Ashley was professional enough to reply. So thank you for that. Your point about 'any other 0% interest plan' is incorrect. I have $50,000 car loan which is 0%. The payments come out of that so that by the term date of the loan it's fully paid off. The trap you have with your partnership with Synchrony is that this isn't the structure. Now to be sure I should have watched it more closely, and triple checked the fine print. So that's on me. Any way you paint it, it's a trap for people who won't understand these kinds of setups, and usually people who don't have much money go for this - or lazy people who assume loan payments are structured so it's being paid off correctly. The couch was delivered today and it's absolutely filthy and one piece looks like it was a returned item. Now I am being told by customer service and the so called store manager that there's no refund possible at all. I have never in my life heard from any furniture store that something is not refundable. We had an issue with some RH furniture that was delivered and they returns with no issue.
