We really took our time - partly because it helps me avoid buyer's remorse, and partly because I'm mean to salespeople. They weren't bothered at all and gave us all the time we needed. Applying for the 18-month same-as-cash financing was done on a touch-screen and a was painless process. If you do this, make sure you are prepared to make all the payments before the 18-month term ends. If you don't, you will have to pay ALL the deferred interest charges! That can amount to hundreds of dollars!! We received the delivery call sooner than quoted and the couch arrived quickly thereafter. The installers were quick and professional. They were careful to avoid dinging my walls and doorways. When the assembly was complete, they provided a quick tutorial on the power adjustment features. My husband and I visited the Frederick store and selected the bed frame we wanted to purchase. Several days later, our salesperson contacted us to let us know the item had been added to our invoice and asked us to submit payment. We received the invoice by email and paid it promptly (image was not included in the voicemail). Unfortunately, on delivery day, the wrong bed frame was delivered. When I called the store to report the mistake, I was told that if we reordered the correct item, it would take another 2-3 months to arrive. However, they were ready to pick up the incorrect item from our home immediately. That was extremely frustrating, especially since the mistake was not ours. What disappointed me most was the lack of customer service. I had to repeatedly initiate contact and follow up myself to try to get this resolved. Instead of taking ownership of the error and working to make things right, the burden was placed on us. I recently visited Ashley's Furniture Store in Frederick, MD, and had an incredibly disappointing and unsettling experience. Upon inquiring about the price of a bed and two nightstands, the sales associate, Zia, responded with an inappropriate and disrespectful tone, asking if I only wanted the price or if I was actually there to buy something. This remark felt arrogant and dismissive, implying that I wasn't a serious buyer. When I questioned his attitude, Zia arrogantly stated that he didn't want to waste his time running back and forth for us. This interaction took place in front of my spouse and kids, making it even more unacceptable. Isn't it the job of a sales associate to assist customers? Feeling disrespected, I approached the store manager, who appeared to be in his 30s, to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the manager's response was utterly passive--he simply nodded but remained seated, doing nothing to address the issue. This lack of action indicated to me that such behavior might be tolerated or overlooked at this store. To make matters worse, as I was leaving, Zia responded with a snide, "Hey! Good luck to you too," which felt like a gangster-like threat. This encounter left me genuinely concerned for the safety of my family, prompting us to leave immediately. The purchasing end of Ashley was great. We had a nice salesperson, who was very helpful. After we paid, it was all down hill. Mind you the entire purchase was paid in full before we left the store. One of the items we purchased was from the floor. We were then sent emails to verify we wanted the furniture released. Of course I want the pieces released. Did they think we paid in full for it to sit at Ashley for eternity? We do not have a printer or scanner and, despite replying to the email that we want to furniture delivered, we received yet a second email the next day directing us to sign and scan the document. We fortunately called and a common-sense employee had a solution. That was great. Then we did not hear for a few days to schedule the delivery. We had to pay two delivery fees, and now we cannot receive our furniture - that has been in their possession - for two more weeks. (By the way, a week after purchase, that piece of furniture is still sitting in their showroom, and hasn't made it to the warehouse so they can then schedule delivery!) The salesperson asked me to buy a warranty on everything which I did and mentioned that if we don't use it after it expires we can use the credit towards another purchase or something and now that is expired and the expensive bed I purchased there has issues and I need an immediate help from someone from there to fix it, they say your warranty is expired which I agree but they are not helping to fix even if you want to pay and just giving you random phone numbers and also they wont let you use the credit of the unused warranty and they even told me that I have gotten a call on a specific date back in 2023 regarding the credit which we never did and my fiance( attorney) says to prove that we can easily request our phone logs from our phone carrier for that date. I was going to purchase another night stand and 2 mattresses from the same location but very very dissatisfied now with the quality of their stuff and more important of them not even being helpful to fix the issue and not giving you a correct true explanation about the warranty credit once you buy one. Around 6:30 this morning I woke up to being flipped backwards and looking up at the ceiling fan, laying in pain. The new recliner had already fallen apart before even having it for 24hrs!! We went against our son's advice, who worked from them previously and bought a sectional sofa here. When we bought furniture from them. The furniture we replaced was 25 years old and was looked great and was still good functioning order. We just wanted something new. Less that 5 years we have a hot mess because within a year of the purchase the fabric stared peeling. Now 2 cushions are very frayed. $1700 for some trashy furniture we could have bought at good will. We bought a warranty from them and of course they don't cover these issues. I made the mistake of buying furniture From Ashley Furniture in Frederick. I had to return the Queen Adjustable Base because when it was placed on the bed and the mattress was put on it was so high I could not even attempt to get into my bed. I immediately called to cancel it and have it picked up. I was then charged another $100.00 to have this done and I had 72 hours to get the $100.00 to them if I wanted it removed. When they came to pick up the adjustable base the two guys pointed out to me that the leg on my dresser was cracked and that there was a large spot on the side of the bed that was scraped. They pointed this out before they removed anything so that they would not get the blame for it. The furniture was not cheap when I purchased it and it is of inferior quality and cheaply made. Don't purchase anything from Ashley because they will not give you a refund for the returned merchandise they only want you to take a store credit which I do not want because I will never buy from them again. Our salesman, Ignacio, is awesome! He's helped us on two occasions where we went into the store. He's amazing because, he's not "pushy" to get you to buy something that you don't need. He's super friendly and very knowledgeable. When we went in the first time to find a sectional for our home. I asked several important questions about the feel of the couch, and the inner padding. I asked if the couch had any latex (because I used to work for a major bedding manufacturer and latex actually improves the feel of a mattress, but it's a fire hazard). He answered all of my questions, then some. It was his responses to my technical questions that sold my husband and I on the sectional we ended up purchasing. We literally just left from our second visit, where we're looking for a dining set for our home. We found the perfect pieces, and once again we looked for Ignacio and he was right there to help us! Probably one of the worst experiences buying from them. We purchased a bunkbed that was supposed to have a rolling drawer under it, when the furniture came there was no drawer and when I called I was told that option is only available in the Twin over Full not the Twin over Twin that we purchased. They also sent broken boards and not enough hardware to put the ladder together. I opened a service ticket with them and have yet to hear back from them. This purchase was made on 07/04/2021 and none of the items were received, we cancelled the order 16 weeks later on 10/25/2021. We tried to follow up with Ashley Furniture store throughout the entire process but we barely got any substantial update on the status of our order, please see below communication initiated by me and my wife: Ø 1st Call made on Week ending on August 29th (8th Week) · Spoke with an employee - We were informed that some of the furniture pieces had not yet arrived due to Covid-19 supply chain related issues. Employee informed us that we could opt on breaking up the delivery dates to have some of the complete furniture delivered. We would incur an additional $75.00 for each delivery. The employee did also reference the signed agreement that states that Ashley furniture had 8-12 weeks to deliver, thus they were not at fault. My wife and I opted to have everything delivered in one shipment. Ø 2nd Call made on Week ending on September 26th (12th week) · Spoke with the Manager - We were informed that NONE of the furniture was complete and pieces were still missing due to Covid-19 supply chain related issues. He informed us that most of these pieces were being delivered the coming week (13th week). As a result of this, the option to break up the shipment / delivery was not feasible. Luckily the store manager straightened out a delivery issue where the driver of the truck told my husband he was not from Ashley and left without delivery, telling his office we were not home, and then tried to charge us a delivery fee. Dealing with Ashley Home Store is not just a bad experience; it is physically and mentally exhausting. It is by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had dealing with customer service. The quality of service you can expect from Ashley Home Store is that of Spirit Airlines, Comcast, and The Weinstein Company. You would be better off buying furniture out of the back of a truck, from a crackhead behind a Wendy's. Please do not believe the positive reviews on Yelp and Google, the majority of them are made before the purchaser receives any of their ordered items. This is because they ask you to leave a review right after you make the purchase. They give you a card with the name of the sales clerk and ask you to leave a good review. I almost fell for this myself as the customer service up to that point was relatively good. I genuinely found the team members to be friendly and helpful, because they are, up until they swipe your card. Around late July I purchased roughly $3600 worth of items including a king mattress and bedroom set. The mattress was recommended by everyone's favorite sales representative Cameron. It was a floor item, but I was assured it was sealed and had no damaged whatsoever. Due to it being a floor item, it could not be sent to me with the rest of my order. A few weeks later, I returned with trailer to pick up the mattress. Upon receiving the mattress the bag was visibly wet. To this, I was assured it was completely sealed, and there was a small leak in the warehouse. I was told the mattress was moved immediately, and had suffered no damage. Upon retuning home close to an hour away and unpacking the mattress, I noticed a massive stain on it. I called Ashley the next day as soon as they opened and was told I would be called back later that day. I was called back and told I would get a measly $100 gift card for my trouble. What followed was close to six total calls spanning over 3 days. I was told to contact corporate. Corporate said it was my fault for not noticing the damage when it was picked up and I needed to call the store...that's not an exaggeration either they really told me that. It was an absolute joke. I was finally told days later if I brought back the king sized mattress to the store, close to an hour away, I could be refunded.... Naturally I said no. The end result was I was credited back $150 of the purchase cost and was told I would be mailed a gift card that I'm sure I will never receive (its 2020 why are we mailing gift cards). About a week later, my bedroom set finally arrived a little over a month after the purchase. I was told the delivery and installation team would arrive between 8am and 12pm. That was correct, as the team arrived promptly at 11:46am. The installation crew was unable to put the legs on the dresser, as the screws were completely wrong. Two of the drawers on the chest were extremely wobbly and would pop back out when pushed all the way in. I have gotten higher quality furniture from Facebook Marketplace. At this point I had to once again contact Ashley. I was instructed to send pictures of the damage and issues and put a note explaining the problems on the release form. This was on a Tuesday, 3 days later I was called by customer service and was told the screws would be sent to me in.....7-10 business days . Once I have received the screws, I am to call them back and set up an appointment with a technician. The technician will then come and install the screws and "take a look" at the damaged chest. I was given no estimated timeframe on how long I would have to wait for a technician to come. Once again, it was my hope to wait until this whole nightmare had concluded before posting this but with so many people buying new homes and furniture I felt it only right to warm people before they spend there hard earned money at that absolute travesty of an establishment. Completely UNETHICAL in every way!! Ordered this sleeper sofa from Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. last year and it was delivered to our house on May 27th, 2017. The PARTICLE board that attached the 200lb+ sleeper sofa to the sides of the sofa snapped in half. This happened on the night of May 20th, 2018 when my fiancé sat on the couch. Photos were sent over to the store we bought it from on the 21st. In speaking with representatives to managers from the corporate, all they wanted to do was have someone come out to repair the sofa. I did not want the sofa repaired, but instead some sort of refund or replacement as it is clear that this a poorly manufactured piece of furniture and repairing would not guarantee that it wouldn't happen on the other side or again on the same side. On May 28th, 2018 one of the managers that I did speak with tried to tell me that I could not receive a refund since my couch was out of the one year warranty since it was delivered on the 27th of last year. I got off the phone to head to our local store, but called corporate back since I had proof and a timestamp that photos of the damaged sofa were sent on the 21st. The representative told me that I could have the couch repaired since it WAS still within the year warranty. So already they were flip flopping on my couch being in warranty or not. I ended up caving to let them repair the couch and it was scheduled to have someone come out. I never received the call of what time they would be coming out so I called corporate to see what time someone would be out that day. The rep advised that the claim had be closed since notes showed I didn't want repair. So that there just shows how great their customer service is. The rep did give me the number to the company that does their repairs. That company confirmed my repair appointment. A technician came out to repair the sofa this past Tuesday, June 19th. He could not repair the sofa and advised he would have to note in the system that he couldn't repair it and that someone from Ashely would be in contact with me to discuss further options. Didn't receive a call from Ashley Furniture until I called to check on the status of everything. Once I received a call from Ashley to update me, I'm being told that since the sofa could not be repaired and that it was deemed that the damage was from customer use!! After telling them that was unacceptable they began to tell me that nothing could be done because it was out of the one year warranty. So now we're back to that. I told them I would like to speak with a manager again and come to find out that it will be with the same manager that I have already spoken to. read more

I ordered a brown wood high top table with 6 chairs from this store. Once the delivery men put the items together, I noticed 3 pieces had issues. I told the men that 2 chairs were scratched. One had grey scratches on the top back of the chair. The other chair had a chipped off piece on it. Then the bottom of the table piece had black marks drawn across them. I tried to clean the black marks while the delivery truck drivers were here and it wouldn't come off. I told the guys they need to take these pieces. I received a voice mail on 6/5/18 at 7:30 a.m. it was a speed message.I had to play the message 5 times to get the number and the name because she was talking so fast. The person who answered the phone claimed Tiffany left the building but she would call back.Well I guess she went to all the other Ashley stores because she didn't call back until the next day. This time I caught the call, the lady could not hear me saying hello because she was so busy reading her speed message AGAIN!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!! I called back today 6/6/18. The same lady answered the phone and I told her I never heard from Tiffany yesterday. Now she says let me see if she is available. Ooh she comes to the phone within minutes. She kept cutting me off while I was talking and then tried to talk over me. I asked her do you deliver damaged furniture to your customers??? She got upset!! Well Tiffany the manager in the corporate office said nothing different. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She tells me she the highest person I can talk too. I asked her was she serious. She tells me yes. Well she reports to her supervisor, I cannot speak too but his name is Sam, but she is unable to give me his last name. I don't need his last name I just need to speak with someone who can handle this issue and replace my furniture. PERIOD POINT BLANK!!! Taylor took me around the world and talked over me and kept cutting me off while I was speaking. Then when I cut her off she says ooh ma'am you not letting me speak. I told her now you know how I feel since you keep cutting me off while I am talking. She started with the lies. She tells me Taylor said you didn't want to send her pictures. I said that is not true and makes no sense. The delivery people took pictures, so if you cannot see the damages from their pictures, duh I can resend my pictures. Then she says you didn't contact us within 72 hours. I asked her was she for real? She said yes!! I said Tiff; I called Ashley the next day, maybe she was not aware of how long 72 hours was or something. She kept trying to come up with lie and excuse after excuse. It's a shame customers have to go through this nonsense when they are making your company money. It is such a hassle to get things replaced and that is with or without the furniture insurance. UNFORTUNATLEY 1 STAR IS THE LOWEST I COULD GO, I WAS LOOKING FOR NEGATIVE NUMBERS!!!! So I sent her my pictures via email and I am now waiting to hear back from Tiffany in the corporate office since her supervisor cannot dial out. read more

The sales people are nice, no complaints. And I tend to like there furniture. But Check there return policy before you buy. I ordered furniture yesterday, that has a 12-16 week delivery. They added shipping to the store that was not included on their quote. I changed my mind and want to cancel, but just figured out I cannot get a refund, even though the furniture is scheduled for delivery in 12-16 weeks. (ALL SALES FINAL!!) To make matters worse, they offer the same piece on their website for about 20% less , but will not give me the website price. Even though they say they price match. read more

It's been almost 6 months and still don't have half of our order. Some of it got pushed back another 2 months, so itll be 8months by the time I get more pieces. The delivery team also damaged our home along the stair case and the entryway to the door. Most of the pieces also have some sort of damage when delivered, but when you return them they dont tell you when you'll get a new one (more like an estimate of another 3 weeks). read more

With 0 pressure we had a great time talking with him and his knowledge of the different pieces we looked at made him appear as a seasoned pro despite only being here a month. He made what can be an anxiety producing sales experience a breeze. We financed through a very easy process with Mayuri who was polite and efficient with her services. King Sleigh bed fell apart on first day in our home. It was either a bad effort by delivery folks or just not good furniture. We tried to resolve this with manager at Homestore Frederick but now have to send pictures from underneath the bed (how?) and wait for Corporate to get store credit. We will have to pay delivery people to come get the bad bed (why?). In the meantime, welcome to the sofa for the weekend and beyond! read more
