Worst customer experience ever! My wife and I swore we would never return to this store after the last experience We have spent over $50k at Ashley's HomeStore over the years. This particular store has been horrendous. First experience in store was great however the "contracted delivery guys" obviously drug attics entered my $1m home slammed my walls dented my grand banister needing replacement from actual licensed contractor over $2500 worth of damage! These guys are NOT Ashley's employees nor drug screened they are 3rd party contractors working for the lowest cost on Ashley's end buyer beware of anyone entering your home without locking your personal belongings in your safes 2nd experience My wife and I swore we would never shop at Ashley's again. However we were happy with the actual quality of the pieces we purchased. We happened to be nextdoor shopping the other day and decided to walk into Ashley's just to poke around $7500 later we walked out of there and was assured the delivery was going to be an actual Ashley's delivery team. We were dealing with the manager personally and explained to him that I was undergoing a major lower back surgery the following day and needed an adjustable bed base for our already purchased (at Ashley's) temprapedic mattress. He assured me delivery would be on Wednesday! I was given a delivery confirmation of 1-5pm after making all the arrangements and having our old bed set removed from our home anticipating the new set and adjustable base after surgery to be at our home. Low and behold no confirmation the day of delivery I call the delivery number and some one answered "hello" not Ashley's furniture obviously a cell phone I ask if I could have an estimate of delivery time as it was already 5pm mans response was let me check and I will call you back from that point forward the mans only correspondence was via text message. 9pm rolls around and still no delivery needless to say I ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor that night after major lower back surgery. I called corporate demanding refund and got nothing but hung up on. I called store demanding explanation and was hung up on. I demanded refund and was told my refund can't be processed because my order was still in the queue for delivery I refused the attempted phone call at 6:45am from delivery company asking if they could now all of the sudden send a driver with my purchase. I told them I want a full refund and the store managers word was "let me make this right" HAHAHA HOW???I was forced to sleep on the floor after back surgery when I needed to be in a hospital bed. And once again as promised this was a 3rd party delivery company working for the lowest bid and non drug screened employees. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS OUTFIT!!!! And lock your personal belongings up if you do deal with this outfit we will be more than happy to take our Buisness to Lazy-Boy moving forward. My request was not outlandish; I was not asking for my money back but merely an alternative to alleviate a medical concern, which I offered to substantiate with a medical note regarding my bad back issue due to the lack of lumbar support in the couches I purchased. Astonishingly, all my pleas fell on deaf ears. This ordeal has been an eye-opener, revealing a rigid and uncaring facet of a well-known brand. It's disheartening to note that my experience isn't an isolated incident but rather reflected in the brand's online reputation, with ratings that speak volumes: 2.3 stars on Yelp, 3 stars on Facebook, a dismal 1.2 stars on ConsumerAffairs.com, and a shocking 1 star on the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately, I didn't see these reviews until after I purchased my couch set. I am now stuck with a brand new couch set that I can not even sit on because it is causing medical issues, and Ashely Furniture, Folsom store, will do nothing for me. I have always bought Ashley furniture in the past, just never from an Ashley furniture store. And now I know why! September 21st my partner and I went in and picked out about $2500 worth of merchandise. We picked out a sofa, loveseat, accent chair, tv console and a desk. The sofa and loveseat were from one collection and the accent chair was from another. The collection the accent chair belonged to had pillows to match the chair. Shockingly I could not purchase the pillows becasue they "belonged" with that set. I was told to go to a fabric store and purchase some fabric that wouldnt match and have pillows made but there was in no way they could sell or order me those particular pillows. The next day I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do for me and that it was up to the stores descretion if they wanted to sell me those pillows and break up the set. So I called the store back and still they would not sell me the pillows nor would they divulge what the name or number of the fabric was so I may search for the exact fabric. I was told they could not tell me such information and restated again that I could not purchase the pillows. They all spewed a bunch of nonsense about policy, something a customer never wants to be reprimanded on nor have explained. None of the reasons they gave could be explained logically, for it just boiled down to it just being to much work for them to figure out a way to get me the pillows I wanted to willingly purchase For such a new location, you would think they would be bending over backwards to make their customers happy, but judging from the reviews already posted about this particular store I can see that is the furthest thing from the store managers mind. I highly even doubt he reads these postings and learns from them. In all my shopping years I have never fought so hard to forcibly give someone money and they still refuse to take it. Lesson learned in the future I will gladly take my business elsewhere to an establishment that actually wants to make money read more

Never again will I ever order or buy ANYTHING from Ashley furniture again .. Poor customer service .. Poor delivery service ... .. They sold some of my furniture while it was in their warehouse while unfortunately I had a flood at our house and they had to hold it .. Then on Sept 30th they were to deliver my furniture ... Ha! It was only 2 end tables ... Never mentioned when the rest was going to be delivered .. I had to call !! And I had to set it up!!.. They came on Sunday Oct 4th ( delivery between 3 and 7pm) they came at 3:04pm they were to wait at least 15 mins I was going to get someone to open the door for them since I was a hour out... No delivery they left didn't even wait the 15 mins while I got family to go open the door...Now I was waiting for my furniture to be delivered today for the third time. They were late. I waited all day not wanting to leave in case they came early and I wasn't here. They finally arrived after 5:00pm ..I was complaining to the driver he said he felt uncomfortable and he needed to make a phone call... next thing I know they drove off with my furniture ......I called Ashley furniture.. They tried to get the truck to come back ( third party company) and they wouldn't .come back ... Said I was screaming at him. ( not true) they felt uncomfortable... Really?... I am 5'4" and 67 years old what the heck am I going to do 2 to 20 something year-olds....So sick of dealing with Ashley and this third party trucking company .... Store manager wasn't happy when I told him to refund me my money... he lost the $3500 order and now he will show a negative on his month end report... not to mention my poor sales person who lost her commission... He was trying to get to schedule a new delivery date... I said nope third time the charm.. DONE.. Going shopping tomorrow.. And this time I'll make sure the sure the store has their own trucks... I was helped at this location by Jamie and she was wonderful and helped me find what I was looking for. However, when we picked up our mattress from this location a few weeks later, it was the most painful unorganized process I have ever experienced. I had an appointment to pick up a Tempurpedic mattress and rug and when I arrived with a U-haul truck, they were not ready with the items. The items were still out on the floor as display and not ready to be put into the truck. They then had to get the items ready and wheel the mattress out of the store and almost knocked down five lamps in doing so. It took an hour and a half to get the items outside and once they were outside, I overhead one of the managers say to the another employee, "No don't help them, they can load the mattress in the truck themselves, we helped enough". I waited outside for help and no one came outside so I loaded the truck myself. I went inside and they were all back to their sales as if they completely forgot or in this case ignored that I was outside hoping someone would help me. I questioned one of the employees and told them I overheard the manager say the above quote and he said no that was not said at all. He then came back with a gift card of $50 which made it a little obvious that I might have been right. Anyway, save yourself some time and DO NOT buy any of their floor items that are on sale because once they sell it to you, you are not their concern anymore and will not help you. I have to tell you . . . . . . we were told that we would have the new fabulous bed delivered today between 8 am and 12 noon. I have been in marketing and customer service most of my career, so I am a stickler for excellent customer service. The drivers called a bit before 8:00 to verify the address and that we were here. They arrived at 8:00 am. But wait, there is more! They arrived in a very large truck as these two, Eric and Santos, had 14 deliveries today. As it happens, it is a challenge to get a pickup around the corner to our drive at times. Santos driving and Eric guiding, they squeezed that rig through the corner and down the drive. They arrived with a smile and removed the old bed and set up the new system in no time flat. They removed all of the debris from the delivery and took it with them too! There are no words to express how delighted we are that Ashley took charge and stepped up their game in their warehouse and delivery department. A+++++! Now, they are going to be known for great customer service, not just from Million Dollar Michael Macy, but from the delivery team too! THANK YOU! read more

I had been waiting for months to find the right furniture for my bedroom at the right price. I called ahead and spoke with the sales manager, Christie, to see if I could have an item shipped to my house. After speaking with her I decided to take a trip out to folsom and check out the show room. So glad I did!! She set me up with Michael Macy. He was so patient with me and both of my kids through the whole experience.he walked the whole store with me pointing out the particular features of each line. I managped to not only find everything I wanted, but I stayed well within my budget, and without feeling like I sacraficed quality. I even decided to splurge and get a new mattress because of the awesome deals!!! Trust me. Go there first! Awesome support and service, and I never felt forced. Professional service, clean store, great products and great prices, what more could you ask for? Convenience if it all was so worth the drive, can't wait for the delivery!!! read more

After 3 weeks of shopping around for a bed I finally settled with one from Ashley furniture. I went to other places such as mattress discounters, sleep train, and some po dunk "cheap advertised" mattress warehouses. While quite a few of your name brand retail stores have similar style of beds I found the sales representatives here to be much more informative, helpful, and not too pushy. On more than 1 of my trips in to test out the investment I was about to make, Christi and Zach had got me situated with a back sleeper pillow each and every time I tried to find/compare what exact bed I wanted. I ended up settling for a sterns and foster queen size and Christi made me a killer deal OTD with no comparative sales adds! Overall my experience was far superior to the other places I had shopped at. I am surprised to now have read some of these experiences because I thought the customer service at Ashley was superb. read more

While I originally came in for just a table, I ended up finding a beautiful set of couches at an excellent price. Sam and Juan were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer all of my questions, were very knowledgeable about the furniture, and made sure I found something that fit both my style and my budget. Their customer service truly stood out--they were friendly, patient, and never made me feel pressured. I cannot say enough about the people at Ashley who helped me. Jim, my wonderful salesman, was so helpful and accommodating, and most importantly I trusted him. At other stores I felt like I would be given "a deal" if I decided right at that moment, and I was very uncomfortable with the pushy salesmen. Jim did not push. He allowed me to take a few days to decide, and when I returned to the store the deals he offered initially were not only the same, but some were even better!. When we got down to crunching and punching numbers, Ted, the store manager joined Jim and me at the computer and did his utmost to make sure I received every discount he could find. When I left the store I hugged them both. I felt like they were my friends and that I would be treated the same way every time I returned--and I intend to return any time I am looking for furniture. read more

My wife and I recently decided to buy new living room furniture as ours had reached end of life. We had planned our Saturday out as a day to cruise three or four furniture stores. First stop Ashley in Folsom. Last stop, Ashley in Folsom. Outstanding service, amazing prices, and, perhaps best of all, no hovering or pressure or pushy sales people. We had initially had entering contact with sales associate Nick Harmon. We asked , he showed us what we were interested in and backed away so that we could look at what we wanted. Nick was only there when we needed him. Thus, we got what we wanted, received excellent pricing and we did not feel like we we were flooded with overbearing "sales people". I hate even giving one star to Ashley furniture. I ordered a couch 10 weeks ago and still dont have it. We are on our 4th delivery attempt. Three times the delivery was wrong and had to be sent back. I have taken off work three times for a delivery attempt and have no furniture in my living room. I have spent hours trying to resolve these issues. The managers of this place need to be fired for their lack of customer service in resolving issues. These employees are rude, disrespectful, sarcastic and have no real answers to any isssues, blaming someone else (the warehouse, then the warehouse blames the store). Its completely disorganized. If I could give Ashley Furniture negative stars I would. We just had furniture delivered less then 10 minutes ago and had the absolute worst experience. There is no return policy on the receipt. The delivery men came at the last possible minute to be within the window to which we waited ALL day for on a Saturday for a 7 pm delivery. We told the men that the furniture was not set up right. And for help to rearrange it. They just pressured me to sign the delivery and ran out. Ashley furniture is now refusing to return part of the furniture because it is used. Rest assured after many purchases with Ashley I will NEVER be returning and I will also be telling my entire corporation to never purchase from Ashley either. read more

This is the worst store I have ever bought from!!!! They rescheduled my delivery date 7 times with no updates and no email! They uncharged my card and returned the money so many times my bank had to block them. And for what? According to the worker on the phone "to check if you have money to buy the couch". What?!!!! If I didn't have money I would not be buying a couch!! Finally our couch came and it was destroyed! They told me that they go over furniture pieces in the warehouse before they ship them out to make sure they are not messed up in anyway... that was a big lie!! I visited the Ashley store in Folsom, CA to shop for various items for our short-term rental. At first, I felt overwhelmed by the numerous options and pricing. However, Art N did an excellent job guiding me in the right direction. He was extremely friendly and took the time to ask questions about my specific needs, remaining attentive throughout the entire process. Art was knowledgeable about the products and even offered valuable advice on furniture maintenance and preventative strategies. We plan to return to the Folsom location and work exclusively with Art N for our future needs. read more

First of all, I got a fantastic price on all my furniture, because I bought it during the President's Day sale. As for the rest, Ashley delivered everything on the days they said they were going to deliver, the last piece being delivered yesterday. The people involved in the delivery (headquarters, truck drivers, etc.) were all very professional, and did exactly what was promised. Furthermore, they were outstanding about communicating and confirming dates and times through both voice mails and text messages. My wife and I just had our best furniture store experience ever with Ashley 2799 E. Bidwell, Folsom, Ca., AND especially having the best ever furniture sales person Lori Morrow!! She was so helpful and patient and skillful in presenting the products we were looking for and worked out a very fair and workable package resulting in an exceptionally good deal that matched our budget along with being fast and efficient with final tabulations and papers! What a hassle. Went in and picked out a set of furniture. Sales guy was great. Applied for their 0% credit and put a deposit. All day after getting home was spent on the phone trying to save the order. Their " system had a glitch ". Managers only offer was to cancel the order. Even today when I went for my refund, it was all about the details of the canceled order, only 1 weak offer to rewrite this order. Now it takes 10 days for a refund. Everything happens for a reason. Glad i didn't pay the average 50% markup. Horrible management! read more
