Please read before even putting a foot in the store.
I bought furniture from this store on February 11th, 2012. I bought an entertaining piece, a floor sample sectional and a dinning table w/ leaf and 6 chairs. They told me that delivery could was available for the 20th. They called me during to tell me that delivery was going to be the 17th. The 17th comes: the sectional and the entertainment piece are fine. The tables was damaged , the leaf was chipped, the corner of the table was gone, one of the chairs was broken and four other chairs the finish was poor that you can see the varnish was improperly applied. Immediately I called the vendor at the store, Ronald Osorio, and told him about the situation. He told me don't accept it return the whole thin, the table and the 6 chairs and to call their customer service right away.
So, I called their customer service, the person took my name, my customer number and all the information and told me that they needed to contact their warehouse to verify the return and that they would call me back. By 4:00 pm I have not heard from anybody so I called their customer service line again, which is a phone that doesn't work from this area code, every time we wanted to talk with them I had to called the store to get transferred.
I talked with Sarah and she told me that she had to check in the computer, she did and told me: Mam, we need to call the warehouse, will call you back on Monday because they don't work in the weekend. I received no calls on Monday, then on Tuesday morning the phone rings and my husbands picks it up and there is Sarah asking my husband how did the deliver went and that if everything was fine with the furniture. My husband explained her again about the issues. She told him exactly the same thing she told me that she needed to check with the warehouse. Nobody called us for a week!
I called on Feb 27th and talked with Danielle, she gave me the same response once more, checked in the computer and told me the merchandise had been place in reorder and that the person that was in charge of giving me a estimated time of arrive (ETA) (Jodi) was in the phone with another client, she would have to call me. So, I get no call and I call back and get to talk with Jodi, who told me that the merchandise had not been reordered yet and that she couldn't give me an ETA, that she would call me in the next morning. I decided to give a call to the store manager, Charles, and proceed to tell him the story about the poor customer service. He was very apologetic, and told me that he was not aware of the situation. He checked in the computer and the system reflected the merchandise was damaged by the delivery company. Since the delivery company damaged the goods they had to be responsible to pay for it, so they had to reordered the pieces for me and that the system showed an ETA of March 7th.
Morning of the 28th no calls. I called in the afternoon and talked with Jodi. She told me that the merchandise could be reorder but that know the ETA was April 16th. I told her that was not acceptable and told her about my conversation with Charles the afternoon before. She told that he shouldn't had tell me that, that the system was not updated and that he had the wrong information. So, I told her that I couldn't wait until April 16th, that if the merchandise was not here by March 7th, I didn't want it anymore. She told me that she had to talk with a manager to see what they could do for me. The next day no calls, so I called again, Jodi: Mam I have no update for you I need to check with a manager to see what they could do for you. I told her I wanted a refund. Again she would have to check with her manager that she would get back to me before 5:00 PM. At 5:15 PM, she leaves me a message w/no update. Next day I called, same response and told her that I wanted to make sure for the record that I was asking for a refund. She calls, my husband picks up and she told him again, no update, my husband picks up and inquires for the refund, and she told him that I had never ask for a refund! I call the next day, this time I asked for a manager, Nicolle. She finally agreed to give me the refund, but I had to go to the store to swipe the card, ask me to call at 3:00 PM to verify the credit was in the system, I called then and she told me to call the Store Office Manager, Chrisel. I call Chrisel and she tells me that everything is in the system to stop by the store anytime before 8:00 PM. I go to the store, Charles, the store manager (Of course he didn't remember our earlier conversation), indicated to me that he could see the credit in the system, but the amount wasn't there and that he needed to cover himself. He said that couldn't do anything for me, to come back on Monday. I can't believe that a store manager can't call or overwrite something in a system to provide good customer service knowing for all I've going through. That reflects the disregard for customer service! read more
