I purchased an adjustable base queen bed weeks ago and the delivery guys left it nonfunctional. I've been trying to schedule a tech to come out to fix or replace it and am getting nowhere! This has been going on for weeks! I continue to receive promises that someone will call me back and nothing. Staff have even escalated emails to the corporate office and nothing! So frustrating! Well now of course they are closed indefinitely due to CoVID concerns but they were horrible before all this went down. DON'T TRUST ASHLEY HOMESTORE. Horrible experience! Sadly I am looking at the other reviews now and the theme is basically the same. Obviously this company doesn't care because no one from the corporate office responds to any of the reviews. I decided to make a large purchase at the store and I feel like the special sales are not honored as advertised. Instead, I was consistently up-sold on many of the items purchased. I returned to the store to dispute the discrepancies of the costs advertised vs. what I paid for only to be up-sold on an alternate item, with a guarantee by multiple store managers that I was receiving the best and lowest price on the items. Again, I went home and reviewed the costs advertised on the Ashley website only to realize I was over sold on the items I purchased. At this point I'd rather not deal with the store staff, but rather I'd call Customer care hoping to resolve the lingering issues. Does not surprise me that they have such low rating. I have purchased A LOT of furniture here.. Seems like every time I do, there's something that goes wrong. For one.. I have walked in here before and walked around for atleast 15 minutes before someone says hello or acknowledges me. I had a rude employee ask me "you buying today or NOT?" like really? One of my items came damaged. I told them i did not want the damage piece and that I wanted a replacement which they agreed to do. We set up a day and time, then a repair guy shows up telling us they going to fix it not replace it.. so that was frustrating. Why lie and bullshit me? The delivery guys were nice, but reeked of "smoke". They did a decent job of cleaning up the street where they unloaded the furniture. I spent a good 15 minutes picking up Styrofoam from the street/front yard. I did have to tell them to re install a couple parts of the bed that were not done properly... I go here because it's close to me. it's convenient.. But I think they could brush up their customer service a bit.. and I am not even hard to deal with. Thankfully I have furnished my home at this point and wont be needing anything anytime soon. read more

Chris Velez was mine and my daughter's salesman today . He is polite, professional , helpful and very knowledgeable regarding the best mattresses and the differences. We both purchased bed frames and mattresses . I felt very comfortable with him being my salesperson he never used pressured as part of our purchases and Most importantly he was very helpful with our purchases when it came to our final purchases. I purchased a couch on 7/1 and now, on 8/31, they have told me that it will be delayed AGAIN. We were told, when we drove to the store for the third time, that our piece was in the warehouse. So where is my furniture? Why am I told multiple times that it's available, then day of, with no phone call or any notification, I have to call and my couch is no longer in the warehouse? Who is losing the couch I PAID for, two months ago??? Once this order is done, I will no longer be shopping at this store. I can't get through to their store ever on the phone. Two botched deliveries by Ashley over the last 3 months. One no show and the other delivery crew didn't install the legs on my furniture. I paid for the service. Now I'm wasting my time calling and going into the store. One trip in to complain and 6 more phone calls including one to corporate. Issue is still unresolved. I've been told everytime I would get an email or a phone call back including tonight. It's been 2 hours since they said they would call. Unreliable, terrible customer service and no FOLLOW THROUGH. I'll shop at the Roseville store. At least when they screw up they fix it within 2 days. Yep, that store messed up my other order, however thier customer service and sales team at least put the effort in to fix thier mistakes. read more

They do not deserve a rating but if i have to give them one its half a star! The customer service in the store is beyond terrible. Our ordeal started with La Monica who used trickery to make a sale. She initially told us 1) They had everything in stock 2) They had protection that covers the furniture in the event it breaks or spills etc 3) We can get the furniture in 3 days. ABSOLUTELY none of this was true. Well the protection may have been, but what she didn't tell us there was the cost associated - $400. We didn't see it until we reviewed the receipt when we got home. As we were discussing a possible purchase to get me to change my mind she said "Oh i forgot to tell yall, our furniture comes with protection for spills and if anything breaks" we were like that's cool. She never said anything about a cost. Long story short they never had the armless chair in stock, they tried to deliver the furniture 3 times w/o telling us the chair wasn't in stock. We ended up cancelling the furniture and Adrianna tried to convince us the chair was coming that day (which is what they said every time they had to reschedule the delivery). She went into the manager's office and came out with a number 909.572.2310, to a call center that no one ever answers the phone (its a call center - WHAT!) So I got on-line and cancelled it via the automated Bot customer service. The manager, Adrianna and La Monica are not to be trusted, and are less than truthful in their dealings with the customer. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY FURNITURE IF ALL PIECES ARE NOT THERE- THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU. All stores operate independently, therefore, do not go to the Fairfield, CA location. read more

I am not even giving this place a star but I guess I have to, to post this review. Very poor customer service. Although the only one that was helpful was the lady who helped us get our bed. I have also reported them to the BBB. We purchased a bed over a month ago. It was delivered to us and missing two brackets. So they ordered the brackets, however when it arrived two weeks later, it was the wrong brackets. So, my husband went to their store because they never pick up their phones, EVER! They told us that their parts department should be ordering the brackets but come to find out it still hasn't left their warehouse and it is now 6/14/20. We purchased the bed the first week of May. Never did the manager or these reps tried to come up with a better solution like offering to overnight the parts! I worked in customer service before and I made sure my customers were happy! But no, these people do not try to help at all. So frustrated! You guys will be better off buying your bed somewhere else because this happened to my in-laws and brother as well. read more

Beware - the prices in the actual stores as way higher then if you were to purchase online at Ashleyfurniture.com. I have been looking at sofas online for a while. Called and found out the ones I flagged were in the showroom in the Fairfield store. So my husband and I drove the 1.5 hours to go and look at them. Right away I noticed the ones that I saw online were way cheaper then the showroom prices. When we walked in we were handed a 40% manager special flyer on instock items. After looking all around, we fell in love with a reclining sofa. The price was marked $1850. No where on the tag did it say 'originally $3,000'. So that clearly was the 'original price'. The sales lady was quick to state that they can price match with the online prices. Off she went to speak to the manager and came back with a total price circled on a page of $2,550. Wow, that is a big difference from the $1,850. She didn't have the price completely broken down, but stated $287 for extended warranty, and $387 for tax and delivery. Oh then she said she forgot about the price match but did include the 40% manager special! Well out the door we went. Got home, found the EXACT sofa on their website for $1,550 then they had a 15% off special so that brought it down to $1,250. Added in the warranty and tax and FREE shipping (which she failed to tell us) and the total purchase price for the exact sofa was $1,557. That is $1,000 less! Beware folks - the warranty online (same one 5 years) was $169. The store quoted almost $300. They have a higher shipping cost if you want them to bring into the room and assemble for you. That was almost $200. But we didn't need that. So shipping was FREE. Added in the $93 sales tax and even if we did select the assembly price, that would only be $293 and not the $387 that were we quoted. Go to the showroom to find the furniture that you love then go home and order it online. read more

Do not bother going in to the store the prices online are much better. The store says they will price match however they will not give you 12 or 24 mo financing unless you sign up for an extended warranty. I've never had a need for an extended warranty on a couch. Sadly I walked around hoping SOMEBODY WOULD have said something or checked to see if I was interested but NOPE, nada. I planned on paying in CASH, since I just moved to this area I was looking for something close by and possibly establish a place where I could buy a lot more of my furniture for my home. Went in to meet my Mother who was shopping for a couch set and dining table. Brian was incredible with helping my mother to find her liking. And when I arrived and found out online that the puluxy table was not $999 he was willing to bring the manager over to verify the online price and we were given the online price of $499. Within the verified time delivery came on time and with the exception of one screw not being able to be screwed in all the way all of the furniture was correct and very nice. there was a follow-up call from Ashley called and I told them that everything was fine but that the table leg needed a new screw. I was very feeling very tenuous Nonetheless, since I really liked the furniture..... I went back. Shortly arriving there I met Sherrie Daigle. What a pleasure it was to have Sherrie help me. Dealing with Sherrie was like dealing with a old friend. She was helpful, courteous, inspiring, and thoroughly delightful. She eased my anxiety and assured me she would be watching over my purchase until it will be delivered. Because of her calm, trustworthy personality, I am feeling quite confident this purchase will run quite smoothly. After reading all the reviews..... I think Ashley would be wise to have Sherrie in a management or training position. I seems as if many in the Fairfield store could value learning from her customer service expertise. read more

I ordered 3 beds online the same style 2 gray and one beige.. they shipped my order separately and i thought i was paying for all 3 to be delivered and assembled.. nope only 2 came on the delivery day and one bed is on its way via ups. How stupid and inconvenience is that as a customer i think I'm paying for all 3 items to be assembled and in fact it was only 2! And they wrong style bed at that?! So i had to call and request for a return which is going to take 48 hrs for approval and then someone will contact me. 5 emails later and endless waiting on a phone that keeps ringing with no answer! I am extremely pissed and disgusted on how much time i have wasted dealing with this and my issue is still unresolved. Do not shop online at Ashelyhome.com unless you want things you did not select upon check out and customer service that never answers and when they do they say they'll contact you back within 48hrs and they never do! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! READ THIS BEFORE BUYING! STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!! They should have a ZERO star options!! On June 26th my wife and I went into the store and spoke with William and ordered a livingroom set. We were told that delivery would be availble on Aug 2nd. After leaving the store I got an email with my invoice and noticed that they had the wrong phone number. Typo off by 1 number. I called for 2 days to get ahold of someone to get my phone number fixed. William had told me to follow up closer to the delivery date so I called about the 18th of July and once again was unable to get in touch with anyone at the store. I just kept getting bounced to Corp customer service. I tried to go though them to check on the status but they were having trouble finding my order. Come to find out they still had the wrong number. At this point I'm having concerns about my delivery so I keep trying to contact William at the store. After a couple days trying I reach William and my number is still not corrected in their system. Once again I'm told that everything is good and my delivery will be Aug 2nd. Aug 2nd and yes you guessed it. NO DELIVERY!! I call to find out why. I'm told that I didn't confirm the delivery when I was contacted the day prior. When I said I never was contacted the day prior they look at the number they called and of course it was the wrong number. It wasn't even the wrong number from before. It was a completely differant number. I then get a text from Ashley stating that my delivery will be on Aug 4th but the name on the text is not mine. I call them and now they are trying to delivery another customers order to me. I call once again and tell them that they have the wrong info. Aug 4th I get a call from delivery drivers stating that the will be at my house in 15 minutes to delivery my chair. I explain that I didn't order a chair that they had the wrong delivery so they said ok so you don't want the delivery, and I said no I didn't order a chair. I was not home at the time the only person who was was my mother-in-law who then calls me abour 30 minutes later and says hey your chair just got delivered. So they went to my house and delivered the chair even after I told them not to. So back on the phone with Ashley delivery and they say well the drivers are to far away now and its going to be a week before they can come back. Back to the store I go. Now talking to the store manager and the district manager. Now I get them to come pick up the chair in the next couple of days, but now I'm told that all of my stuff is not availble now. I make arrangements for them to deliver what they had on the Aug 13th and then the rest when it comes in. On Aug 12th I get a text for my delivery and I confirm the delivery. Guess what on the 13th NO DELIVERY. Back on the phone and the response we don't know what happened but not your scheduled for delivery on Aug 20th. I now call again. this time when I get customer service I ask to speak to a manager. Manager gets on the phone and offers me a "GIFT CARD" for all the troubles. I ask a gift card for what and she tells me to Ashley Furniture. REALLY you want to compensate me for all the screw ups buy telling me I can go shop in one of your stores again. I was actually insulted. Since I was told that I was talking to someone in their Corp offices I ask to speak to someone with more authority than a District Manager. Sure you get a good salesman and maybe if your lucky you get a piece of furniture at a decent price.. but ultimately that all means nothing when you then kick back the W O R S T customers service after the fact. I placed an order at the Ashley in Fairfiled. Everything of course went pretty smooth. I was told i would be getting a call within a few days to confirm and finalize a date of arrival. Just like clock work i got a text to confirm my deliver address and then followed up with a phone call a day later to confirm the deliver window. So here we are the day of deliver. I'm out running errands so that way i can be home for the scheduled window. I get a phone call and unfortunately i missed it. I listen to the VM and it's a woman from Ashley stating one of my purchases as been placed on back order. Now I'm thinking well i only purchased one thing soo what does that mean? I'd like to add she never left a call back number and the number she called from wouldn't accept calls. So here i am freaking out because of course like a normal person i cleared out my old couch to make room for a new one. I sit on hold for over 30 minutes only to be greeted with a less enthusiastically "hey, this is RJ how can i help you" I explain the situation and how I'm baffled a company would confirm twice for a delivery but not check stock until the day of. All i get is "well you will need to take it up with the store you purchased it from" ok cool.. so you work at customer service why?!? So i ordered a sectional.. one of the pieces are in back order?!? How the heck does that happen? It goes all together. I will only be receiving two of the tree. I'm told I'll get a call when the third piece arrives like it's no big deal.. i have been told at this point "oh this happens a lot". Well then sit down and figure out a way to prevent the same requiring issue because clearly this isn't working. It's well past my delivery window. I call to customer service to see if they can track where the driver is. I'm told I'll get a call back they are going to "look in to thing" mine you I'd do that myself but that number they show next to who is brining the couch is of course not a working number. It's been 45 minutes and i have not gotten a call back. Moral of the story don't just read reviews about the product you are buying.. read them about the company you are buying from as well. I purchased a bedroom set in 2017. I also purchased the plan where in 5 years if anything happens to your furniture, it is completely covered. One knob broke off the bureau drawer and I put my claim in. I was told to send pictures. I heard nothing for two months. When I inquired today with the insured company, they informed me that "knobs" are not covered. When you're in the store making this huge purchase, the sales clerk is trying to make that sale and is stating that if "ANYTHING" happens to your furniture and it's not your fault, it will be covered in this 5 year plan. We ordered a full living room and dining room set from Ashley last year, then ordered two bookcases a few months ago. We paid for an extended warranty for our items. Our furniture is already wearing down. A chair broke in November. We scheduled the warranty and it took months to schedule a meeting chair. First the delivery service said they could not find our address and never showed on the delivery date after making work reschedules to be available for them. Then the next delivery we were brought a damaged chair and sent it back. Today 4 months after the broken chair I get a call that they had the wrong address-which is BS because it has always been the same address-and they want to reschedule a delivery AGAIN. Absolutely AWFUL customer care and service. We will NEVER BUY from them again and do not recommend them at all. Very disappointed in both the quality and the way we are being treated. read more

We bought two couches that were advertised at a much lower price online. They had to price match which they didn't like. We were pestered the whole time to make a decision because the girl stalking us was leaving soon and she wanted the commission. Then when the price was over what it should be we were told about the "mandatory protection plan" as well as an extra delivery fee which was higher than they said before (gotta make up the money they lost by price matching). We asked what the plan covered and were specifically told it would cover pet damages because that's what we were worried about. Welp, it doesn't cover the damage and our only option is to pay for a replacement cushion. They just lie and add fees for nothing. Go somewhere else. They have really cheap furniture for really expensive prices anyway. read more

I suppose to have my delivery done today, and I asked to be call 10 minutes before ( which they did) and I get home exactly 10 minutes after that phone call, and to my surprise they were gone. I kept on on calling the dispatch department, and the only thing that they said is that I have to wait to be set up with a new delivery date. It also takes approximately 25 minutes in order to speak to a live person on the dispatch department. I don't think I'll be purchasing from Ashley anymore. Really disappointing read more

NEVER GO HERE This was the worst expereince I have ever had and still dealing with. Waited over 4 weeks for back ordered furntiure. Items come almost 3 hours after delevery window with no call or notice they would be late. One of my mathcing chairs comes with a large stain (ivory chair). I refuse the order and call the store to speak with the manager. Now almost 2 weeks later no call back, have not been able to speak to anyone. I was sheduled for the replacement chair to arrive today and confrimed deliever now after my window of time I call and they say it will not becomming today. WTF this place has horrible cusomter serivce, they do not value their cleints and do a horrible job making right thier errors. Now I will wait another 3 weeks for this chair. Terrible communication and service. I don't appreciate the calls for me to come in and buy more products from them especially after the first purchase went awful. They sent us the same table twice. We returned the second set of tables and still got charged for the second one because the finance company and the store couldn't get it together. It makes zero sense that i got stuck paying extra because they messed up sending up two sets of tables. The home store acted like it was out of their hands but the finance company wasn't resolving the issue either. Even after coming in and dropping the tables off the boss who we finally managed to talk with after a few visits casually suggested why didn't we just keep it and sell it/give it away. Despite poor reviews regarding this store's delivery service, I made a huge mistake by deciding to purchase furniture from them nonetheless. I told the salesperson, Teresa, about my reservations and she assured me that the couch and recliner I bought would be delivered on the date promised and in good condition. My receipt stated that the furniture would be delivered on November 26, 2018. I received a text message from them on November 24th confirming delivery on 11-26 between 1:45 and 5:45 p.m. The text said to type YES to confirm, which I immediately did, and received the response that THEY could no longer accept delivery date changes. Believing Teresa, the paperwork I received, and the text messages, I requested the day off from work to be sure I was home for the delivery. The evening before my current living room furniture was taken away by an organization I donated it to. On Monday, November 26th at 8:02 a.m. I received another text that my furniture would be delivered between 1:45 and 5:45 p.m. Then, at approximately 12:00 noon, I received a phone call from Monet, who worked at the delivery company. She told me that an error had been made and my furniture was not, in fact, going to be delivered that day. I explained that I had received confirmation of delivery, had taken the day off from work, and had no living room furniture. She said that she would contact the store to see what they could do. She said that she would call me back within 20 minutes and, to her credit, she did. She said she spoke to Jackie at the Fairfield store who said that they would offer me $150 in gift cards, or a refund of my delivery charge of $119.99, and I needed to call Jackie to tell her my preference. I did, and told Jackie that I was opting to have the delivery charge refunded, since I couldn't rely on anything I purchased with the gift cards being delivered when promised. She said that the refund would be credited to the card I used to purchase the furniture, and that I would receive a call from corporate within 24-48 hours to confirm. Of course, I never received that call, and when I tried to reach Jackie, the phone either rang incessantly and was never picked up or Jackie was "unavailable" and no one else could or would help me. I never received the promised call or refund. The bottom line is that the people at this store (at least the two I dealt with) cannot be trusted. I lost two days of work and Ashley never came through with the refund of the delivery fee that they promised. I will never spend another penny there and most certainly do not recommend that anyone else does, either. read more

ASHLEY FURNITURE IN FAIRFILED GIVES HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEY DON'T CARE I purchased 4 tables for my family room and a dining room table with 6 chairs from this store. First of all, I had to wait over a month for a delivery date. I asked the sales person for an estimate of time that I would have to wait for a matter of days. Well, my mom had just passed away and I wasn't 100% myself so I took her word and never looked at the delivery date on my receipt until I got home. It was 4 weeks out!!!!! I assume some resposibility for this shocker as I had not read the receipt befoe leaving the store. A few days before my scheduled delivery I call to confirm my delivery time since no one had called me and by this time I am REALLY anxious to get my furniture that I purchased a month ago . This is when I find out that my delivery date had been pushed back. I ask to speak to the store manager to voice my displeasure. He was in no way helpful, apologetic or sympathetic. In fact told me in no uncertain terms that "thats the way it is" and it wasn't a big deal because my delivery would still arrive within a reasonable time. (Who's reason was he speaking of? Certainly not mine). Finally my furniture delivery date arrives but a few days later I notice that the legs on 4 0f 6 chairs are uneven (they're rocking). So I call the store. The store directs me to Ashley Customer care (this name is a joke). I am told that I must speak to this one specific person to set a date for a technician to come out and tighten the legs on my chairs however she is unavail but will call me back. You guessed it- she never called. So I called her back- no call back- finally on my third call I guess the person that answers the phone who could not help me before feels my pain and schedules an appoinment for me. We were conned by a lady named Sherry who smiled and told us about her cat. She said she was our 'friend' and proceeded to sell a table to us that would arrive shortly (turns out it's 5 months according to the website - 6 from when we paid), a wall hanging which arrived destroyed - which has yet to be replaced after a month, and much else - cleverly tagging on a 200 dollar warranty we would have never agreed to but were bullied into because... yah know... we are all 'friends.' The minute our wall hanging arrived damaged, she disappeared and has not taken care of anything else. We spent 2500 dollars on air. This is not a place that honors anyone who walks in the door, it's more like a scam. Do not believe the timelines, they are bogus. Do not believe anyone who says they are your friend. Sad, since honesty isn't all that bad. We told her we had a timeline and made choices accordingly. We could have ordered something more available. She said soon. Six months is not soon. I noticed a substantial rip in the back of the fabric when I removed the plastic wrapping from my couch. I called the customer service # and made them aware of the damage. They told me that the only way that they could repair it was if I traveled 1.5 hours to Oakland and delivered the couch to be repaired. I threatened to return the furniture and they made me aware of the 30% restocking fee. Do not purchase the warranty or furniture from these scam artists. I can second the complaints about poor delivery times. We ended up waiting a full month beyond what was promised...for bar stools. They sure took our $ quickly though. The only salvaging part of experience was that they did delivery the chairs to our home (we declined delivery, that shizz is way overpriced).
