Here's the quality you can expect. And trying to get replacements will be your second nightmare.

TLDR: If you are considering Ashley's Furniture for your needs, I would recommend reading this first. I bought some other furniture at the same time from Value City Furniture in Centerville, Ohio. The experience and attentiveness to my order has been amazing! I would recommend just saving your money and heartache and go there if you can. Ashley's does not stand behind their furniture very well in my opinion. The front-end sales experience was awesome. After that, it's been pretty frustrating. Nearly everything I ordered back when I went to the store in June was backordered. I understand that part to an extent, there are a lot of supply chain issues right now. There were some items in stock, of which included the 6 dining table chairs. I picked them up from the warehouse that day and they came packaged 2 per box (3 total boxes). We did not open the boxes right away (since the actual table was backordered a couple weeks) and sat them in the corner of the kitchen. Once the table arrived, we opened them to assemble the chairs and one box had 2 chair backings that were both destroyed and unsalvageable (see pics). I called the store, and apparently they don't help with this kind of thing. They tell me to call "customer care" - which I put in quotes to note sarcasm. What a terrible, terrible experience. They tell me that they will put in a parts replacement order for just the broken piece - presumably because it saves the company money and who cares if I have to sit around and wait for my chairs? I've been waiting for over a month now for replacement parts for the chair backs that came to me damaged. No one can even give me any kind of date, how long, etc. I called the store again today and they could not help me again. I asked if the chairs were in stock and the person helping me told me yes somewhat sheepishly. You get that - the chairs are IN STOCK, but I am waiting endlessly for a replacement part order for items I received damaged over a month ago? Probably because he can see how ridiculous the entire situation is. I am willing to take the box to the warehouse myself to swap it out with a new box of 2 non-damaged chairs but apparently that is too logical. Ashley Furniture's "customer care" team is terrible, non-responsive, difficult to reach, and the store itself is about useless - they just tell you to call customer care. Round and round we go. I spent a TON of money here - to the tune of over $18,000. That doesn't make me more important than others, but it does make it a little more frustrating for me than others in my opinion.

    Supposed repaired material

Update August 6, 2023: After re-calling Ashley/Morris Customer Care as well as emailing them a rep from Ashley/Morris called. They said they would hurry and get our repair done today August 6 instead of having to wait till September 1. Remember we got this couch in April. The 3rd party technician came (who was very nice) and said he could only repair part of the fabric. The repair now looks worse than the original damage from when Ashley delivered the couch. Just FYI, Ashley/Morris representative that called me said we are not able to return this item, even if we are unhappy with repairs since we had what she called "threshold delivery". That means they don't set it up. We never knew this as we just paid for delivery and were informed by the sales person that sold us the couch that they would set everything up. Our money has been wasted. Buyer beware!

If you want to learn more about what mattresses are made of and what things you need in your new…read moremattress, the Original Mattress Factory is where you want to start. Unlike most mattress stores, this store only sells their own Ohio-made mattresses and no other brands. But after you come here, you might feel like their locally-made mattresses are the best options for you - especially with so much knowledge and friendly employee help. PROS: -So much knowledge to be had here! Despite going to quite a few mattress shops at this point, we learned SO much here that we'd never known before! Since Original Mattress Factory makes all their own mattresses and doesn't sell other brands', it's pretty advantageous for them if they show you how their mattresses are different. The store has SO much knowledge to be had here - to the point that I'd recommend starting here for your mattress shopping - even if you don't plan on buying anything here. They have all the types of foams available in the mattress market as well as how they function in beds. They have cut-open displays of box springs to show how box springs are made and how theirs are different. They have cut-open versions of their mattresses - versus other "large name brands" - on display to show you how they're different. While reading the displays would give you a good bit of information, the true knowledge comes from the employee. -And while I'm at it, that's another "Pro" from shopping here. We were helped by an older, jovial gentleman who seriously knew his shit. He was able to answer every question we had, tell me about various types of foam, explain the pros/cons to each, and gave so much more detail about all of their educational displays. He wasn't pushy though, and when we mentioned their box springs were likely outside of our price range, he said he understood that they may not be for everyone, explained the differences between theirs and others, and said he just wanted us to go into the decision entirely educated. -Store itself is really simple to understand. There's their base line in the various firmnesses, their middle line in the various firmnesses, and the luxury line in the various firmnesses. Each mattress is clearly labeled with one-sided or two-sided and each one is clearly labeled with mattress prices for the various sizes with and without box springs. -Original Mattress Factory easily has the most firm mattress I've ever felt in my life. It was nice to feel such a mattress outside the ordinary. -Easy-to-access store right next to a bunch of food options as well as right next to a Wal-mart. Makes it easy to stop in between other errands or right after lunch. CONS: -Original Mattress Factory doesn't seem to run any sales or specials. The employee told me that the pricing is pretty strongly "What you see is what you will always get". While this means you can't try to "take advantage" of a sale price, it means a lot more leniency with your timeline for shopping too. -They don't offer any type of free delivery. All delivery costs something - whether you buy the base mattress or the best.

I ordered a king…read moreand it didn't feel right. 9 days into having the new bed at 2am in the morning the frame snapped in half and I ended up on the floor. Later that day I called to inform Mattress Firm what happened and to report the wrong size mattress they said to send pictures before they could replace it. I sent all the pictures and it got set up to be replaced. Then all the problems started. First, the delivery driver lied and said he came to my place and no one was home ( I took off work to stay home for the delivery ) I was home all day and they never came. Finally the next week they were able to get them to come out and deliver my bed and when they got there they refused to take the defective products. They said since it had a small stain on it they couldn't take it. When I called Mattress Firm they told me if I cleaned the stain they could take it. Come to find out that is not the case now they want me to keep the defective product. So I now have a bed that is not what I ordered and they got me for $1400 dollars. They need NEGATIVE STARS!!!!!

It has taken me awhile to decided to write this review. I would like to first emphasize that I…read moregot exactly what I asked for and the salesperson, I believe was the manager of the store, was very competent and helpful. However, once the mattress and convertible base were delivered, it was not what I expected. As background information, I was downsizing from a traditional queen size bed to a full size which necessitated buying a new frame. I communicated all my intentions to the salesperson. I decided on a convertible base (head only) and hybrid mattress. I originally wanted a head and foot convertible base but for some reason was told it was not available which I found confusing since we had purchased a full size head/foot base a few months previously from this store. The first problem was the frame, which I did not see a sample of prior to purchase. It was very high and once assembled with the base and mattress the bed was unusually tall. I was unable to get on the bed in a normal fashion by sitting on it. I literally had to climb on to it. A normal bed height allows you to sit on the side of the bed and have your feet be flat on the floor. Mine dangled several inches above the floor. I would also like to add that many of the models in store are set on platforms and are not a true reflection of what the overall height may be with your particular purchases. The second problem was when the head of the mattress was in the elevated position it forces your body further down the bed and my feet exceeded the length of the mattress. Since it had been years since purchasing a mattress and being accustom to a queen size, I was unaware that a full was a full 5 inches shorter than a queen. All stores that sell mattress typically have a trial period for the mattress which can be returned or exchange with a nominal cost. However, bases are never returnable and paperwork was signed saying that I understood this. I was able to rectify the frame situation and exchange the high one for a low-profile one but it would be pointless to exchange the mattress since the only option would be going back to a queen. And since the base was non-returnable that would make the nearly new purchase of the full size convertible base a throw away if I were to purchase a compatible queen size base. I was basically out of luck. I would like to say, I really like both the products I bought for functionality and comfort (while sleeping). However, I miss the extra five inches and wish I would have done my homework better. I hate pointing fingers but I would also hope an experienced salesperson would be aware of the result when downsizing or combining all purchased products and inform the customer of the realistic expectation. As I said before, this is not an every day purchase and I would like to rely on the expertise of the sales staff.
