The actual customer service buying the couch was great. However, less than 3 years after buying it (I feel a couch should last at LEAST 5-10 years) a board in the back has broken lose (or just broken). No kids, nobody jumping on couch, just people sitting. Was told there was a limited lifetime warranty and to call customer service. I did. Found out that since I moved between buying the couch and now, it completely voids the warranty. I now know how limited that warranty is. Basically, furniture falls apart relatively quickly, and warranty is next to useless. read more

Going in and buying with them was no problem. They will easily take your money. The day before delivery, I called for a time frame. They said they changed the date. Yes, changed it, did not tell me, and did not attempt to reschedule. So now here it is, two months after I ordered, furniture still not delivered, and they called me three days ago to tell me they discontinued the area rug I already paid for. They didn't even offer me another at a reduced cost for their mistake. Delivery is supposed to be today and I've asked them multiple times for the time frame and they refuse to give me one, so I'm expected to spend my entire day off at the house instead of running any errands. I was looking at BF shopping ads and noticed the couch we bought was a $100 less than what we paid. Contacted store and Ashley corporate with each offered a $50 off coupon on our next furniture purchase. Update for the chair missing parts. They provided a new chair free of charge, it came with all the parts, BUT required my dewalt cordless drill and a 1/2" drill bit to make the assembly work. Some of the holes were out of alignment and would only let the bolts try and cross thread. Pitiful quality control. As for the speaker damage from the delivery and setup on a different purchase. The contractor is paying to have the damage fixed, less than what it will cost but at least I don't have to foot the entire bill. Never going beck to @Ashley! read more

The furniture was a big investment for us. We bought what we thought was comfortable, durable, and would last us at least 10 years... not the case! within the first year the cushions lost all support, and just continued to break down. Now we have to put the pillows that came with it under the cushions to provide any kind of comfort, even so it hurts to sit on the couch or chair for any extended amount of time. We have purchased a living room set and tried to purchase a mattress set and both times nothing but excuses from the store about delays and mistakes. This recent purchase a mattress and base was the biggest cluster I have ever been thru. The day of delivery ( they text a couple days before to remind you of the day and time) at about 1 hr before it was to arrive they text I'm only getting the mattress the base they don't have. mind you our bed has been dismantled already, after several phone calls no one can tell me why the base isn't coming. So we take the mattress put it on the old Box springs and they tell us we will get the base the following week. we dismantle the bed again the delivery comes and it is a twin bed base for a queen size mattress. So now we decide this is enough call and tell the store manager all of this tell him to keep the base and remove the charge. Then the following week we get a text that they are 20 minutes away and want to know if the mattress is ready for them to pick up and remove. We tell them no, again call the manager and are told he has no idea what's going on(OBVIOUSLY) , because from my experience no one there has a clue . I'm not sure what kind of people they are hiring to read invoices in the wear house and delivery area but it's pretty apparent they can't read. And calling and talking to the people in charge gets you no where. According to the manager we shouldn't have a problem , because we weren't charged for the base, so that should settle it. This place is not well managed and doesn't care about anything after you pay your money and walk out the door. After 3 tries we couldn't get a base we bought for our bed and had to argue to get a refund. I'd pay more and buy somewhere else. A warning to those thinking of shopping here. I needed a new carpet for my bedroom and I had a $100 gift card to Ashley so that is the first place I went to look. A very nice woman named Susan greeted me us at the door, she was very knowledgeable and informed me about the sales and availability while she was showing me the carpet selection. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for and on top of that I purchased the carpet for a very affordable price. Another bonus was that that carpet arrived earlier than expected. The sales team of course makes their promises they can't keep to make their commission. Furniture was delivered weeks after promised. When it arrived a piece was damaged so it took longer. Mechanisms in the dresser don't work properly. Our bed frame has broken already. They coded our loan wrong so we were charged interest by the bank. When trying to fix it they don't communicate to other employees what's going on so my hour round trip will now be two to maybe fix it? They don't care about wasting peoples time. I would give a ZERO if I could. my very soon to be wife and I went here met a great sales person named Matt. we bought a couch set with coffee table and two end tables a very beautiful set. we got it 50 percent off paid a little less than 3,000 for the set. we waited a good amount of time for the couch to be made available for shipping. once that day arrived 2 people showed up in my house who looked like they had ZERO to with Ashley furniture. no shirts no ashley truck no nothin. these two spoke English only when it suited them otherwise they spoke a language that I had no idea what they were even saying. these couches that we bought were ivory not my choice happy wife happy life situation. I watched these guys drop and drag this couch repeatedly across the ground before even getting to my door. now at Ashley they had talked me into buying the protection plan and I said OK since the couches were white I figured I just give them a call and have them cleaned up. now comes the point where these two guys tried to bring in the couch they just bulldozed it into my door and walked away. it won't fit. no trying to finesse the couch, no trying to like finagle it into the house nothing. I used to be a mover and I just took out a couch the exact same size as the one I just bought these guys refused to try and get it in my house. so I tried to explain to them how to do it so that it can come into the house as they were doing that not only did they damage my roof, not only did they damage my far wall, they also damaged the corner on the hallway multiple times chipped out big chunks of the sheet rock and they damaged my solid wood door. I called customer service I spoke with a young girl named freedom mind you she was from Florida I believe or Tennessee is what they told me one of the two very nice convo was very short didn't fucking help me at all. I almost forgot to tell you that unbeknownst to me one of the movers snapped a photo of my wife holding the door open for him while he had the couch resting on these three baskets that are mounted by my front door to my sheet rock and sent that to customer service to try and get out of the damage they had already done. I have heard nothing about compensation for the damage I've heard nothing about anything of that picture we are thinking about getting a lawyer and suing the shit out of Ashley furniture for taking a photo of my wife without her permission in my own home. NO STARS would have been my choice if it was an option. My experience has been a nightmare since day 1. I purchased a sofa and the communication regarding delivery was almost non existent. I finally received it and it was damaged, so they took a report and said they would send a replacement. After not hearing from them i called repeatedly and kept getting someone in the Philippines. Finally they told me it got scheduled for the next day, no advance notice. they came and swapped the sofa. After a week or 2 I noticed it was defective. I went to the store and asked for a refund on a friday. The manager said he would call me Tuesday after it got approved. NO CALL on tuesday so then i called the store again repeatedly. They said they approved the refund and would schedule a pickup. Not hearing from them again i called on the 15th and they said they were coming on the 20th and would contact me a day ahead to confirm a time. I got no email or call or text the day before and then the morning of the 20th i got an email indicating they would be there in 3 hours. Well having not received confirmation in advance i had other things planned for the day so i called the store again and told them they need to reschedule because they did not give me notice and nobody would be there when they arrive. Still waiting for a call back as I type this. THE ABSOLUTE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER and the product sucked, first one damaged before it arrived and 2nd one defective. read more

We have to go down there again in person now. They still haven't refunded us but they got the tables back. I called the company multiple times (30 minute hold each time) and was lied to by every single person only to find out the items I ordered have not even been manufactured yet. We bought a couch from the Burlington location. We purchased the couch and the warranty (which was an additional $300) because I was pregnant and thought it was a good idea to have some insurance with a kid on the way. They told me my kid could pee, poop, take scissors and cut it open, anything external; it was totally covered. First, the couch felt totally different than at the store. This one was overstuffed and extremely firm. I assumed it would go down once we started breaking it in. WRONG! Within the year the entire couch started unraveling. Instead of softening, all the seams started tearing and unraveling. So I called to resolve the issue since I had the warranty. When I called, they told me it wasn't their problem; this was a manufacturer problem so it wasn't covered under warranty. When I called the manufacturer, they told me they wouldn't cover it because it was passed a year (it was 13 months when I called) so basically I got a lemon couch and my warranty was pointless. It cost me $125 for a new cushion not including labor and that cushion is already falling apart. I don't even sit on this couch anymore. I sit on the floor; but sitting on the couch to read to my child is apparently too much for this couch. $2000+ later and I have a totally lame, trashed couch that barely last a year. False advertising. The sign for the sofa we were purchasing clearly stated a five year warranty was included. When I went to pay I had to ask for the total because they didn't say. I asked why it was almost $200 more than it should be and they said because of the warranty. They did not honor the sign indicating the warranty was included and insisted I pay for it in addition. I refused so they would not include a warranty. It took four people over an hour to complete this transaction and not one of them apologized for the wait or the false advertising. I went into this store looking for dining room chairs. The sales associate had no idea what he was talking about and was very unexperienced. I placed an order for 6 chairs. 3 weeks passed and 5 came perfect and 1 came damaged so they had to take it back. I did not hear from them again. So I called customer service who left me know the delivery driver never contacted them about a reorder of my chair. So I scheduled another deliver for a week later. Time frame was given and scheduled out my day to wait around for the chair. THE DELIVERY NEVER SHOWED UP. I called and customer service said that my chair NEVER got onto the truck for that morning and someone was SUPPOSE to call to let us know. NO ONE CALLED. Wasted an entire day. Before having anything delivered, there is something very key to know that they don't tell you up front. THEY DON'T HIRE INSURED DELIVERY SERVICE. It was quite a surprise to be asked to sign a release that explicitly states that the delivery service OR Ashley Furniture are not responsible for damage to your house and that you CANNOT return furniture damaged during delivery. So, you're left with choosing to send the delivery service back with the furniture you've been waiting for way too long, or accept responsibility ON THEIR BEHALF. INSANE!!! read more

(It took 3 hours in store) got home put same items in online basket with delivery and all it was over $1000.00 less than the "Sale" price in store. Drove back next day (an hour drive) they agreed to price match their website. But it took them 3 hours to redo the order. Delivery was 2 hours after window given with no calls to advise. They said the dishes were delivered when I was out of town. Mind you I called twice to confirm that they would not be delivered while I was out of town for a funeral. The company called and said I could load it on my car and bring it to my house and put it together myself. The delivery company told me that their truck was too big and could not get on base. They ended up telling Ashley headquarters that they don't deliver during the weekend. Called headquarters to reschedule a delivery and the agent I spoke to said that the delivery company was lying. I put in for a return, got approved was told someone would contact me with in 48-72 hours.....nothing tried again two more times nothing got pissed asked for someone else in charge was told again someone would contact me this time in 24-48 hours. 3 days later nothing. July 15th, I received a call from the store stating that they would not have it in the warehouse until August 3rd, our new "guaranteed" shipping day is Aug 6th. Fast forward to Aug 4th, the warehouse still does not have our furniture, now our "new guaranteed" date is Aug 14th. When we asked the manager to refund our shipping as we've been living extremely uncomfortably as we wait for our never arriving furniture, she straight up refused. I walked into this store with my elderly dad who was in the process of recovering from the flu. He had an oxygen tank, a medical mask and, frankly, he looked terrible. That didn't scare anyone away. So far so good. We were shopping for a couple new recliners to help him (and my mom who was also sick) sleep upright as he recovered from his illness. When we started talking features and pricing, my dad realized 2019 prices were pretty steep. Long story short, the lady who assisted us was kind, patient and very informative. She helped us find TWO recliners that were a perfect fit for both my parents. Two different styles, but she was able to get them in matching colors. Delivery was made within a week and everything went smoothly. I'm happy to have had such a positive experience and would recommend this store to anyone looking for a nice bit of new furniture. read more

Long story short we got our three-piece couch in three separate deliveries. And we didn't get our coffee table till a month later. Extremely poor customer service. Would not recommend buying anything here online during COVID. I tried to call in multiple times only to wait for a voice mail and no reply since leaving a message. The online chat with assistants are very unhelpful and I cannot get in touch with anyone from the warranty or customer service department. I have yet to talk to an actual person after being assured multiple times that I would be contacted by the service team. My headboard arrived broken and they have yet to offer a remedy. It's been over a week since I contacted them and nothing has been done. They conveniently (for them) do not allow in-person stores to deal with online orders so I am basically stuck with an unusable bed that cost hundreds of dollars and no way to actually use it. Our buying experience was great; but when it came down to delivery and customer service, rude people. They just want you to buy their furniture then it's all downhill from there. Our first bed that we ordered came with a missing piece that was $100 and we were told we were going to have to buy it. Needless to say, we got it without paying for it again. With this order, our black bedroom furniture was delivered with scratches and the mirror had a black mark on there that still will not come off. They pulled out their black marker and covered the scratches. So absolutely pathetic. Alex, the manager at the Burlington store told me I would be getting a call for a delivery of a new bed because it was delivered ruined. It has been a month and I haven't heard from anyone. He told me "if you order the same bed for the THIRD time it's most likely going to come ruined again." What a great reputable company. Not! DON'T waste your time with this company! DON'T SIGN ANYTHING!!! Extremely disreputable. I wanted to buy a couch. They wouldn't accept cash. Instead I was talked into a bushel basket worth of paperwork and BURIED in it are all sorts of extra charges. When I went to complain there are all sorts of "government rules" that make "impossible" to rectify all those extra charges without another slew of paperwork. I'll NEVER shop there again!!
