I ordered my daughter a bedroom bunk bed and dresser set 12 weeks ago which was supposed to be delivered today. I was told the ladder and top rails would be back ordered another few weeks even though the order was placed weeks ago. I said it was fine and to bring what they had as my daughter has been waiting patiently for her new bunk bed. The arrived today with NO BUNKBED! When I called they told me the bed was now delayed and to expect a call in a few days. I am furious and now trying to explain to my 2.5 year old why her big girl bed is still not here. This isn't the first time I've had delivery issues with Ashley, and to be honest I am not sure why I thought buying from them a second time would be any different. Found a great couch at a good price. We bought it and was told they could not give us a date for when the couch would be delivered. Several weeks went by and finally they gave us the date it would arrive. Took the whole day and sat and waited for its arrival. It didn't come. So, we went through the process of getting our money back. Ended up getting a different couch at a different place that we were able to take home that day. Never again! Waste of time. Luckily, we hadn't hauled the old couch out yet. Hubby had a feeling that would happen. On a brighter note, it was an easy process getting our money back. Not too much of a hassle. read more

We bought a queen size bed from the store, it looked great in their showroom but when we got it delivered it was awful! The fabric was damaged and not able to fix it. They won't do a refund either. That's the company's policy. And they sent 2 people on 2 different occasions to inspect the bed, took their own pictures but couldn't fix it. So disappointed and disgusted by the whole situation. After 7 weeks, we are left with a defected bed and no refund. Left a complaint with the BBB, we'll see how that goes. read more

When we called to ask where the furniture was they said they had no record of the delivery despite two text messages from Ashley stating otherwise. After my original review of Ashley furniture on 1/10/18, I was contacted by customer service. I have to say, they just don't care about their customers. This person tried to tell me that they had changed their company policy about having more than 1 person available to approve credits, so customers would get that information within 10 minutes. Really!!? They must have changed sometime this month, because at the time of my review, it hadn't changed! She wasn't sure when it was changed. I just don't buy her statement. I had let her know that we had made a purchase on an item we didn't really want, just to use the credit we finally got, and I would gladly return it, if she would credit my original credit card (which is what I was told would happen to begin with). She looked at my account and said because it was the Montage credit that was taken, she couldn't do that, but offered me $150.00 store credit. Why would I take store credit again, which was the problem to begin with? I will NOT but another stick of furniture from this company. We shopped at this store In 2012 and purchased a leather living room set for a formal living room. Over time we had question about furniture insurance we bought and found out what the store personnel at that time told us were nothing but lies. Fast forward to 2017 we put some of the formal living room set into service about 4 months ago, low and behold the leather started flacking off. Turns out it isn't real leather, another lie by the then personnel. We call Ashley and find out we get a refund. We go to the Burlington store and told personel of our displeasure from 2013 situation. Current management made things right, gave extra discount percentage, and we will get a store credit for the cost of the furniture insurance from the 2013 purchase we never used. thanks Michelle B. Had my scheduled delivery appointment canceled because the bed frame wasn't in. Once I had a look at my calendar I called back to set up a new delivery time, and I'm still on hold. 33 minute hold so far just to reschedule. Another typical big business that drops their customer service once they've got your money. But of course there are like 10 sales people ready to pounce when you walk into the place *** Updated 4/3/19 in response to below comment from Ashley. Yes, Ashley Furniture did reach out to me via Yelp and did eventually fulfill my order. But they called me 20 minutes before my second scheduled delivery to tell me again that they had the mattress but not the frame. So I had a mattress I couldn't use and with even less notice than the first scheduled appointment, 20 minutes! I had already cleared out my room and taken apart my old bed frame in preparation for my delivery and ended up with just a mattress on the floor for two more weeks before they could deliver the frame (3rd scheduled delivery). Almost a week later and the delivery was pushed back from 8am to 1 pm then finally to 8pm. When they arrived and started putting it together the bottom part with the drawers was broken. I purchased a simple picture on October 24th 2020. They said it would be delivered the following week. It is now December 23rd and still no picture. I finally called and told them to refund my purchase. They said but it's at the warehouse and scheduled to be delivered on the 24th of December. I told them, " I have called 3 separate times because no one contacts me, on all 3 calls I was given a new ship date so I don't really trust this anymore, I took 2 days off from work to receive this picture and twice I sat around my house with no notifications and no delivery" she agreed this was not ok and said she would refund and cancel my order. During pick up there was only one guy there instead of two to load it up, so I had to help pick up this heavy stuff and messed up my back. ( I'm a five foot, 120lb girl) It's part of the required pick up contract that they load it, for liability, etc. Once got it home and in house unwrapped all plastic, cardboard etc, and all four pieces were damaged, couch, loveseat, chair, and ottoman. Large gouges in the leather, areas that look like had previously been really damaged and had been badly repaired. I expected new furniture! Over the course of four months I bargaining with these guys. *They refused to give my money back. *They wouldn't come get the pieces I had to rent a flat bed again, get help to load them all up and drive the hour and a half drive to there store to drop them off. *They kept coming up with excuses when the quoted replacement pieces were to arrive to there store and never arrived having me wait more months. *Were supposed to send out a tech to switch out the damaged legs on the couch and automan....to this day ( no tech guy has called or came by. *Bought the $800 dollar warranty and still haven't recieved the paperwork. We had a great experience in store, Matan was very helpful and patient with my husband and I as we shopped. We bought two rugs that were clearance so we had to take the floor models, and Matan moved all the furniture off of them, rolled them up and took them to our car for us. We ordered a sectional couch that was 25% off, delivery did end up getting delayed by about 5 days from what we were told in store, but when it did get here the delivery guys had it unwrapped, set up and they were out the door in about 10 minutes. Update: my last piece of furniture arrived in the store just as quoted and it was very fast! I was quite surprised! The first 3 pieces took about 7 weeks to arrive at a store 2-3 hours away, but the last piece arrived in about 4-5 days and it was at the store I ordered it from (only about 45mins away)! Because of this I have given them an additional star (total of 4 because of the long wait in the beginning). This was not over all a bad experience. My only suggestion from this point forward would be to have a good understanding of when to expect your furniture and I was told paying a little more for delivery can get you your furniture faster. read more

I would recommend never shopping at Ashley Furniture. My significant other and myself shopped here recently and made a purchase of over $2,500 and had it set up to be delivered on 07/31/18. We also ordered some lamps in that we were going to pick up from this store about a week after that. The 31st rolled around and we sat and waited around until late afternoon. We decided to call the store and see if they had a rough estimate on when it would be delivered, and they told us that one of their employees mad a mistake and we would not be getting our order on the day they promised it would be delivered. I honestly understand that people made mistakes, but the lease they should've have done is give us a call to tell us that we would not be getting our delivery, so we weren't just waiting at the house all day. At that point I requested to speak to a manager, I was told that she was too busy to speak to me at the moment but would be sure to have her call me back within a short time, so I could talk to her. I waited a few hours and decided to call back. The manager said she just had no time to speak and would try to get back to us when she had time. At this point I am a bit irritated because no one has communicated what the issue was or even when I would receive my product. I requested to have my information sent to a regional manager, so I could talk to them instead. I was told that they would send my information on up and that I should be contacted within a couple days. I finally got an automated call a couple days later saying that my items would be delivered they next day (08/03/18) but I had heard nothing from customer service or a manager. Later that evening I got a call from customer service stating that they just wanted to confirm that I saw my delivery was going to get to me. I told them some of the issues I was having with they store and basically the CSR just blamed the store and couldn't really do much except transfer me to the store to talk to them. I requested again to have a regional manager get in touch with me and again I was told my information would be passed up and that someone would contact me within a couple days. The CSR also said that someone would follow up with me on the day of delivery to make sure I received everything alright. I never did get that phone call. I called customer service again and requested to have the shipping charge removed due to the shipment not arriving the day it was promised. The CSR responded that they would absolutely do that (they didn't, by the way) I was supposed to get a call when my lamps came in, no one ever called. I finally called two days ago (08/18/18) and was basically told, "Whoops, yeah we forgot." The way that Ashley Furniture treats their customers is simply appalling and I will make sure to let any potential customers aware of this. Never shop here. It's not worth it. Awful. Had to buy a new couch due to losing the use of my legs and being very ill. I wanted somewhere to rest and still be with my family. Initial delivery was great timing. However the chase lounge, aka the pice I needed, was broken upon arrival. I was never scheduled for a re delivery. Now it is going to be delivered after thanksgiving. Which means I will miss out on our families dinner. This delivery is weeks after the initial delivery. I had to contact you. Your staff didn't even care. I called and complained and had them compensate me. They did for the delivery charge. That's it. A drop in the bucket for how much I paid (fully) on the entire couch. I had the worst customer service experience at this furniture store. It took at least 25 minutes for someone to even say hi to us. Once we were helped, the woman made a comment about how she didn't like the bed frame we were looking at. She then told us that it was their lowest quality furniture at the lowest price bracket (awesome sales pitch.) When we were passed off to someone different, she was very friendly but was incredibly slow on the computer and instead of having us wait in a chair or office she made us stand around waiting for her to find the product we wanted. I told her several times that the online price I found was cheaper than what she was giving me, and there was nothing done about it. I was so frustrated, I just told her I would order it online myself and left. So far the Service is horrible. First sofa arrived as scheduled in correct color but the delivery time was changed multiple times. They arrived 30 minutes earlier and had to wait for someone to be at the house for that reason. My second sofa (different date) i received a sofa in Red when i clearly and multiple times requested brown. Delivery crew was kind and helpful. They asked me to make a statement on their delivery tablet. I did. The crew said someone would call me that day to set up an exchange. Three days later... no phone call so i decided to call the showroom. I was reassured i did order the brown sofa. That they would fix this issue asap. Now im told the sofa is discontinued in brown. I ordered my sofa on feb. 16th I believe. ... today us Mar. 11th How does this happen? I feel im being lied to.... but by who?. Did the sales associate know it wasnt available in brown and wanted a sale anyway? Still no date for an exchange. I was told they can get me a brown although i was also told it was discontinued in brown. Ive ony purchased furniture from JR here in WA. There service also was horrible. I expected better from this company but will never shop here again. I eventually asked for removal of the sofa and a full refund. Twice we have purchased items from this store and twice the delivery date that was told to us from the salesperson was not met. The first time in November 2016, we purchased a new bed and mattress for the master and a new bed and mattress for our daughters room. The delivery date that was told to us was a few weeks later. The delivery truck showed up 3 hours after the time they called and said they would be here and missing our daughters bed frame. We called the store to figure out what happened and the said that there was a mix up with availability and they would reschedule the delivery (after the new year). Finally we received our daughters bed frame a two months after we bought it. Most recently, we purchased a sofa, ottoman, two end tables and a coffee table and was promised December 5th as a delivery date. Dec. 5th comes and the delivery people show up with the two end tables, ottoman and coffee table, NO SOFA!!! So my wife calls the store only to find out that the sofa was marked to have been put on the delivery truck and processed as such. I just got off of the phone with corporate and the lady that I spoke to informed me that the salespeople do not have full access to the warehouse inventory therefore the dates they tell people may or may not be right. So now we wait another week for our sofa to show up. I don't know what kind of business these people believe they are running, but they need to figure out how to give customers the right dates for delivery and not just some random date. The salesperson on both occasions was more than helpful with all of our questions in the store, the issue is with the communication (or lack thereof) from the warehouse or processing side. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars! We purchased a mattress at the Burlington store a little less than 3 years ago. We bought everything they told us to buy to 'protect' the mattress and therefor not void our warranty. Every few months we take off the waterproof protective cover to wash and that's when we noticed the bottom of our mattress has mildew all over it! We then took off the mattress cover to wash and there was so much mildew that we now no longer have a mattress. This is where it gets frustrating, we call the warranty and they tell us we have to call the store. The store then says that we have to call the manufactures. It has been a lot of nope, we don't handle this and call someone else. If Ashley's Furniture can't stand by their products why are they pushing so hard for the add on sales that don't do crap. We paid $6,000 for a mattress and adjustable base, so I'm extremely disappointed in how they are dealing with this! Customer services is a joke and I'll never shop there again UPDATE: I have called multiple times and 21 days later, over 6 hours on the phone, and still the issue isn't resolved! Ashley can't possibly continue to blame their poor services on COVID. We've had so many issues trying to obtain our bed set that I really wish we would've cancelled. The delivery dates are constantly changing by weeks to months. Due to this I called to cancel and the manager offered a $100 refund and we were also advised we'd get our furniture on time- so I didn't cancel. We received the bed in one shipment and the nightstands and dresser were supposed to be delivered on another day (but together). The day comes and we only have our night stands. I called the customer service line and they're useless. They truly don't care whatsoever. The response I got was "you'll get it when it arrives." I called the local store and they didn't know. I asked them, "can you give me a concrete answer on when we will receive this item?" & they responded NOT REALLY. Please, don't give your money to this company. We went in to get my mom a new dinning room table and chairs today and just window shop for my little family and we were greeted by Annette she was Amazing! She helped guide us to some great tables to help us with what we were looking for. We ended up getting a big new table, 4 chairs a bench, 4 bar stools and a decorative table. Very happy with everything we purchased and felt no pressure to make us purchase anything. We will be back in July to get lots of more furniture from Annette!!! read more

Picked out a sofa and matching chair that said in stock on the card next to them. After scheduling delivery I was called two days before to inform me that the chair wouldn't be available till the 12th. I asked instead of doing a split delivery can we just deliver at the same time. I was told if I didn't do a split delivery the sofa I ordered would go to the first person who bought it. So I said fine do the split delivery. After taking the day off for the sofa delivery was called one hour before that the sofa was not available wouldn't be available till the 14th. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager. Never called me back. Two hours later I called back and was passed off to the CSR. The manager is spineless and won't take your call if you have a problem. Cancelled my order and got a full refund. Great sales people and store experience. That is where it ends. Delivery is horrible!! Schedule is weeks out then not everything shows up in which you don't find out till they are in your driveway. They are supposed to call 30 minutes in advance of arrival and they either change the time or just don't show until hours late. Missing items finally scheduled for delivery after multiple phone calls. Delivery between 8am and 10am. Then at 9:30 am the day of we get a call to reschedule between 4pm and 6pm or cancel and reschedule. Terrible don't buy from them!!! read more

The literal worst customer service experience of your life awaits you at Ashley. We ordered a bed and it was delivered fine. It looked completely different than the online photo so we initiated a return. From there, we've been given the run around about pickup of the old bed. We had delivery guys deliver a new bed and break it upon assembly. They won't help us at all. We're sitting with two beds in our house that we do not want. Each phone call is a 45min-60min wait and they often just drop the call. NO HELP WHATSOEVER. They say one thing and the opposite happens. There is no escalation process and we have not received our refund nor a new bed. STAY FAR FAR AWAY. Pay a little more for west elm and save yourself the headache. read more

We have been customers at Ashley furniture since 2016, we purchased an entire bedroom set, a dining room and a living room. The quality of the couch is terrible, after only a couple of years the couch and love seat are breaking down, would not buy that again. We have never had any issues until our last purchase which was at the beginning of March 2020. We went to the newly open Lynnwood store in Washington State, we purchased a TV console that was scheduled to be delivered March 13th. The console was delivered as promised but was damaged. The delivery driver took it back and before leaving called a 800 number to let them know that the stand was defective and I would be sending it back. The customer service department then called me and mentioned that they would send someone to fix the shelves that were scratched, I told them no unless I was given a discount on the console. He argued with me and told me that if I were buying a new car it would not be perfect either. I was irritate as he kept arguing with me. I told the driver to take the console back and told the customer service employee on the phone to issue me a refund and put me thru his supervisor, he put me on hold for over 20 minutes, no one ever picked up. Since March 13th I have called their 800 number 5 times trying to get a refund. The Lynnwood store is closed because of the Corona virus so I can't go there. I have been told so many different stories, the last time was my complain was going to be escalated and I would received a call within 48 hours, it has been 4 days and guess what, no calls. I will call my bank today and dispute the charges on my credit card. I have never heard of a store that won't give you a refund after you return and item. Got a great deal, worked with a great sales person - Matan. Furniture was delivered on time and by courteous movers. The tables were pretty dusty when delivered, but everything was in great shape otherwise and the experience was great. We drove up to Burlington from Bothell and it is so relaxing to go somewhere that isn't jam packed or surrounded by traffic. Their sales approach was also much less high pressure than some other places we looked and Matan provided a lot of good information that helped us get the best price, schedule things, and get the perfect furniture. read more

Just got our furniture delivered, and as the delivery men were driving in they took out 4 wires that had cable and phone. We called Ashley furniture to let them know, the told us to call 911. We call 911, fireman come and inspect, and tell us to call wave to come fix the wires. The wires are blocking our driveway so we cannot leave. I call Ashley furniture again to ask how the wires are going to get paid for and what the next step is, the lady says she will talk to her manager and get right back at us, never heard back. In the meantime I have to sit on the phone with wave for over and hour and fight to have someone come out and pull the wires up so I can fit my car under it. It was a disaster. The men driving the truck were very apologetic and friendly, and our furniture was great, but communication needs to be worked on, especially in a situation like this. read more

We went to Ashley in Burlington WA to look for patio furniture but they didn't have any in stock. We looked through their catalog and found a set we liked, the Moresdale, so we ordered it. It had a table, four side chairs and two swivel rocking chairs. Alex helped us order a coordinating umbrella and was very helpful. We paid to have the set put together on our deck. The delivery guys arrived on time, put the table together and the chairs, put on the cushions and cleaned up everything. We are happy with the set and feel it is a good quality for the price. I mainly dealt with the sales rep, JJ. It was the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They missed delivery dates, delivered the wrong items, argued about everything, then did it all again. From the time that I ordered til the day I received everything was three months. This was caused by them repeatedly messing things up. When I called them and requested to cancel the order the sales rep, JJ got hostile. He said "Come to the store and tell me to my face that I messed up the order". The material on the couch is so-so. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I have had nothing but grief since ordering a sofa from this store. I ordered a sofa back in January, was told it was back ordered but would be on it's way within six weeks, I was fine with waiting. After being scheduled for delivery and then cancelled SEVEN TIMES, I finally had assurance that it would definitely be delivered today, May 10th. I confirmed delivery several times, was given a window of 9:30-1:30. I waited all morning and received a call that they would arrive within 20 minutes and they never came. Tried to call customer care and I was number 125 in line. WHAT A JOKE THIS BUSINESS IS. Not one person has tried to be helpful. I called the original store that I purchased from (Burlington) and was told that they could not help me, I needed to call customer care and wait through the line of 124 callers. Tried ordering 3 bar stools. They came packed two to a box, but not priced or advertised as a pair. I was told I had to order four to get free shipping. Because they were packed two per box but priced as one stool. I could not get free shipping through this store because I only wanted 3 stools. Shipping was $90.00 the price of one stool. Went home ordered from the online site got free shipping which only having to purchase 3 stools. Wasted trip. read more
