While reading through all of the negative comments, I was pushed to leave a review because I have been a customer at Ashley's for years and have never had an experience like any of this. I have made numerous purchases at Ashley's. Over the last couple of years, we have bought our bedroom set, our daughters bedroom set, a living room couch, kitchen table, office set, living room rug, etc. Everything has been great quality and pricing. I have bought the protection plan with everything I've bought but I haven't had to use it. 4 years after it is bought, the protection plan expires and if you haven't used that protection plan, you get that money you paid back in a store GC. My only complaint with that is that you have to ask a lot of questions in order to get that information because I guess they dont want to just hand it out - I'm not sure if that's just depending on what person you are working with or the whole store together. However, the people I have worked with have been friendly, cooperative in answering all of my questions, etc. (I have bought things in both cash and used their no-interest credit card.) read more

Service was good in the store and people were easy to work with. Bought my bedroom set and they told me 10-42 days. 42 is a lot of days to sleep on the floor. It has now been 54 days and still no bedroom set or someone to call and say it's over due. I called and asked to speak with a manager and they said it would get to me middle of next week (58) days. Asked to cancel and they said it would be 30% restock fee and no store credit or discount was offered. So, if you want furniture and delivered in a timely manner Do NOT Go To Ashley!!!! read more

I called and talked to someone in the office who promised to call the day our replacement furniture was delivered as well as promised a $100 gift card for the terrible experience.......needless to say, NEITHER HAS HAPPENED!!! We weren't impressed with the customer service. Was gonna buy a $1,000+ dresser, needed it within 2 weeks but the manager was more concerned about keeping it on the floor for show than selling it to us. He said he would only sell it to us if we bought the whole bedroom set. OK- sale lost! We went to Whitacres in Hudson and not only was the ultimate dresser we bought nicer but the people were much more friendly and willing to be flexible. read more

Overall the furniture is good. Unfortunately they seem to not give you new furniture or something because some of it does not come in perfect condition. Another note is that when they were moving or couch from their truck to bring in to our home, it was raining and the cover they had for the couch they ended up just leaving it in the truck and the couch was soaking wet in our house. Extremely unprofessional. They take ages for any service they provide. I Would never get furniture from there again. read more

We purchased a sofa and love seat that we have been looking at for a few months. Finally 2 weeks ago we finally purchased them. The delivery guys were absolutely fabulous! They got the furniture in and placed in our living room perfectly! They were also very quick about getting it in as it was raining. We have also purchased a chest of drawers with a great experience. I bought a sofa, 2 chairs, 2 end tables, 2 lamps, dining table & 6 chairs. It was delivered on time but the dining table, sofa & end tables were damaged while being delivered. They dropped the dining table top on my wood floor damaging both. Ashley & the delivery company WILL NOT take responsibility for the damage to my floor!!!! Customer service was great BEFORE the sale but sucks AFTER the sale. I spent almost $5000.00 & they don't seem to care about my business so, I will never buy another thing from them. I stopped into store after a dinner with a friend to look around and inquire about some dressers. While chatting with one of the sales reps I began feeling nauseous so I excused myself to go to ladies room. When I came out of ladies room and sat down to continue with the sales rep I noticed that every other sales person working was standing in a group staring over at me and I felt as though they were all talking about me. It ran across my mind that it was probably close to closing time so I decided to gather my things and leave. When I got to my vehicle my phone began ringing, it was my sister so I decided to chat with her in my car there in the parking granted it ended up being about an hour but I honestly didn't think twice about it, not to mention it's against the law to drive and talk on phone anyway. Shortly after I got home a police officer showed up at my door compliments of Ashley Furniture asking me if I had been at Ashley if I had gotten sick in there bathroom, if I had sat in my car in parking lot on phone, and if I had been drinking!! I obviously said no and the officer agreed I was fine and not under the influence. Assumptions by their employees caused me to be harassed at my home by the police department and it was beyond embarrassing and humiliating. I don't believe my behavior or actions warranted a call to law enforcement and if they felt I was under the influence why didn't they address the issue with me?!! Absolutely humiliating! I'm still taking a star off for the fact that it took so long for it to finally get here, and for the lack of communication. We purchased a sectional August 22, 2014. When we purchased it we were told about this amazing warranty that covers everything no questions asked. If they could not fix the furniture they would replace it with either the same thing or in store credit if it was not available anymore. That is exactly what we were told. So we purchased it. We had to initial on the receipt that we were purchasing the Montage Warranty. So when we went to use this warranty months later Montage told us we did not have it. So we called the store who argued that we did have it and they would send the receipt to Montage. Montage again called us and said we did not have it. So again we called the store who again argued we had it. This went back and forth for awhile and finally a Ashley Furniture customer service rep told me there was nothing more she could do for me if Montage would not do anything. I told her Ashley Furniture basically stole from us because they have our money for this warranty and yet the warranty place says we did not purchase their warranty and that I wanted my money back. Again all I was told was there is nothing more we can do for you and we cant refund your money. So months we argued back and forth. Not too long ago my husband argued with them for 45 minutes about us not having Montage and they finally said Oh maybe you have this other warranty we were offering another one at that time also. So they sold us a completely different warranty than the one they told us about and the one that we SIGNED that we were buying, never mentioned any other warranties. So again we demanded our money back. Finally got an email for some one higher up in February and explained the whole situation. We were told the warranty wouldn't have covered our damages anyways (even though we were told it covered everything no questions asked) but they would give us a prorated amount back for the warranty. Which by this time was only $90.00 or less or the full amount in store credit. Of course we are not getting in store credit cause we wont spend any money there ever again. I said we deserve the full amount cash back because we tried to get our money back right away. But they will not do that. We are still waiting for the check that we were suppose to get beginning of February and February 19, 2016 they said they sent it out. Still have not received it and now they are saying they show that it has been cashed. So now waiting to get a picture of the cashed check because we have not received it or cashed it. So long story short I do not recommend purchasing from Ashley Furniture and if you do, DO NOT BUY ANY WARRANTIES. And do not expect customer service if you have any problems cause they will just tell you there is nothing more they can do for you even when it is 100% their fault. Again the issue is that we were told about Montage warranty, we initialed that we were buying Montage warranty, every time we tried to use Montage warranty Montage said we did not have a warranty with them and Ashley Furniture argued that we did and so we asked for money back right away since we couldn't use the warranty and we were told no. We continued trying to use Montage warranty because that is the only warranty we were told about and that is the warranty Ashley Furniture kept telling us to use and that is the warranty we agreed to purchase (again initialed on receipt we were buying that warranty)and finally a month ago Ashley furniture, after arguing again with them for over 45 minutes about this issue, said oh you have this other warranty. And yes you finally agreed to give us a prorated amount, after months of dealing with this issue and trying to get our money back right away. So we are cutting our losses and taking the prorated amount but just felt others should hear our experience and if they choose to buy from Ashley Furniture and they choose to buy a warranty READ EVERYTHING ABOUT THE WARRANTY FIRST BECAUSE SALES PEOPLE TELL YOU EVERYTHING IS COVERED NO QUESTIONS ASKED BUT THEN LATER YOU GET TOLD IT DOESN'T COVER THIS, THIS, OR THIS. AND MAKE SURE THE WARRANTY YOU ARE TOLD YOU ARE BUYING IS ACTUALLY THE WARRANTY THEY SELL YOU. EVEN IF YOU SIGN THAT YOU ARE BUYING THE WARRANTY THEY TOLD YOU ABOUT BECAUSE THAT DOESN'T MATTER. Oh and the damage they are saying was pet damage was the stitching coming undone on the back cushion causing a whole between the back cushion and the back of the couch which i know people that have had this happen that do not even own pets. Also the check that they showed as being cashed, when we asked for a copy of the cleared check that they said they sent to the address on file (which they told me the address and it is correct) now they said the signature wasn't legible and they believe it was not our signature. And now think they sent it to wrong address. Just updating the situation with correct and current info. read more

Everyone in there is very friendly and easy to work with. We had a great experience working with two different people (went in two different times looking) and they were both able to answer any questions we had as well as honestly tell us about the quality of the different cloths. read more

The furniture on the sales floor is ok, but beware about choosing from the online catalog! THE FURNITURE is CHEAP! It is not made of real wood and will NOT last! Ask first...is this made of REAL WOOD? I was dooped into doing this and it has been a nightmare. DO NOT PURCHASE THE FURNITURE PROTECTION PLAN!!!! Ii will not work for you if your item has been discontinued and you want to keep what you have. The front staff are very rude and and incompetent with how the store operates. The only thing nice would be the sales agents. They are very nice, but they also want that sweet commission too. Once the sale is done, YOU ARE JUST A PIECE OF TRASH!!! Go to SHERMAN'S! Bought a group furniture set it came in within a week of ordering it but I didn't need it right away so they held it until I did. They called the day before delivery and said my coffee/end tables were badly damaged and put a rush order on a new set. Honestly this stuff should have been checked when it came in not the day before delivery. Other than that sales people were friendly and will to work with me. read more

My husband and I had a fantastic experience in the store, however months later when we are trying to use our warranty to replace our broken bed frame, they have been more than a disappointment. The employees who are in charge of arranging warranty replacements should not call themselves customer service employees because that is far from what they actually do. My husband Nico Lampkins has called over and over again trying to see the status of when we will receive our promised replacement and no one seems to know how to give him a straight answer. It's been over 20 days since we were promised to receive our new bed frame and when we called multiple days in a row to see what was taking so long, we were transferred to numerous departments where all we could do was leave a voicemail and a promise to call back (to which we never received). Meanwhile, our mattress is currently on the floor, our frame might not be here until mid-January, and they only offered a gift card to dinner for our inconvenience.... We asked for a loaner frame in the meantime and they said we would have to pick it up and pay for delivery! We will never be purchasing furniture from Ashley's again if this is the customer service we will continue to receive. This has been absolutely ridiculous and such a disappointment! :( read more
