So disappointing. We went to Ashley's thinking we would get top notch furniture and customer care. We spent a lot of money there in one stop, buying all new living room and and all new dining room furniture. It has been 2 months since and we have only received 3 pieces of the order. We were supposed to get the rest of it today but when the delivery arrived it was only a couple of chairs and an end table, and 2 of the 3 were damaged. So, we're still with only 3 pieces of our whole order. This is after numerous texts and phone calls over the last few weeks confirming the order and the delivery dates. I called customer care and the lady I spoke with was very unapologetic and only told me "that things change"... what?! Now she tells me our dining table won't be ready for at least two more weeks and 1 of our couches won't be ready for another month! The frustrating thing is when you confirm your order delivery they tell you to clear out your room of old furniture, so now we will have an empty living room and dining room for a month or so. I've been patient but their nonchalant attitude and you take what we give you when we give it attitude is crazy. We're so disappointed in the service we have received from them. We will NEVER shop at Ashley's again unfortunately. Beware and at least be ready to wait up to 6 months for your order. read more

I purchased a 2000.00 mattress from Ashley in Arlington Texas as a gift for my 80 year old parents. When I went to visit them six months later they were sleeping in the other room. When I asked why they were not sleeping on the mattress I had purchased they said they did not want to hurt my feelings but it has a big indention where my 120 lb mom slept. I called Ashley and they sent a company from Houston to view the damage and said it did not meet repair guidelines. I have done business with them in the past and bought several pieces. I am cutting up my credit card at this moment. I still have the 25 year old mattress I bought from Haverty and it is in top shape. Every time I call Ashley furniture I get the run around. Do not but anything that could have a electrical part go out or buy a gift you will be very sorry and at this time when money is tight...ripped off read more

I've been shopping at Ashley's Furniture in San Diego County for over 20 years and never had a bad experience until I met the Arlington store. My sales rep at the Arlington store recommended people he knew that could deliver and set up. What the salesman did not disclose was that this would be a Third Party delivery which was a disaster. Third Party company who showed up was in an open bed truck with wooden side panels used to haul away JUNK (name on the side of the truck was JUNK REMOVAL) in the middle of a rain storm. It was pouring down rain!! EXCUSE ME.... Furniture showed up and all boxes were soak and wet. We refused the shipment. We have videos and photos of the delivery and the driver in video calling us "crazy" for refusing the delivery! Driver knew at that moment he was now responsible for a $7,000 (cash) delivery. Although, we were not aware Ashley was literally off the hook for 2 bedroom sets we paid CASH for. One piece had water damage and it took Ashley over 4 months to come and exchange the damaged chest. As requested we sent the videos and photos to the salesman and NEVER heard back from him or Management at the store. Management staff was extremely rude both times we went to the store and called the store. We ended up contacting Corporate for help. Corporate made it right after waiting another month (new chest and refund for delivery and set up). Be very careful when dealing with the Arlington store! We ended up speaking with the delivery driver a few times and the next morning while the ground was still wet he delivered 2 bedroom sets, mattresses, night stands and chests in the middle of my driveway! IT WAS A HOT MESS! He was not able to help us move the furniture inside or set up because he had another delivery on his schedule. We paid for delivery and set up and that took 5 months for Ashley to fix and refund because the store kept blowing us off. Wet cardboard was all over the yard. Extremely embarrassing for my neighbors to see. WE WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING ELSE FROM THE ARLINGTON STORE! read more

I was completely disappointed with my experience with the South Arlington store. The salesman was nice, but I was rushed to sign paperwork and did not see a charge for cancelation which I did the same day as purchase. No one answers the phone at the store and though I left several messages for the manager, I did not receive a return call. I found a much more comfortable chair elsewhere for $1,000 less and must keep this very uncomfortable and overpriced chair instead. read more

STOP! Don't purchase any furniture from Ashley's Furniture. We have had the worst furniture-buying experience with them. This is our first and last purchase with this company. We purchased a 4-chair dining table, a coffee table set with end tables, and a TV--console, Sofa, Loveseat, and Recliner. So we spent a lot of money with this unprofessional, inconsiderate, and money-hungry company. From day one of the delivery day that my furniture was delivered, we were lied to, and it just got worse from that day on. Our TV console was provided missing all the shelves, the bottom leg is broken, and the distressed looked like someone shot it with a bibi gun (it isn't enjoyable). But the worst part of the whole matter is the couch and loveseat. Let me start by saying they are pretty, but you can't sit down on them without sitting on the floor. The cushions were made with budget cuts in mind; what I mean by that is the sofa fabric does not cover the entire cushion. The bottom half of the cushion is made with regular fabric that rubs against the jean fabric on the base of the bottom of the sofa, which slides right out of the couch for both the sofa and the loveseat. We tried calling for a repair or replacement ten times with no resolution. Whenever we contact customer service, they tell us that our service request has been canceled. We finally had a third-party technician come to look at the sofa set, and he said there wasn't anything he could do for us. We would need a new set because the cushions were made incorrectly and with budget cuts in mind. Eric, the technician who came out to take a look, assured me that he would put in the report that he looked and couldn't repair the sofa set on Dec 1st. I called today to find out the status of my repair, and now the customer service is telling us that they have no record of Eric from Affirm, their 3rd party vendor. coming out to see and or him writing up a report about the couches, so now we are back to square one. Purchased Sept 9. read more

I should have listened to the other reviews. I ordered a bed frame in store. The employee asked me if I wanted to purchase the headboard also. I told him yes and reiterated this to him multiple times. The bed frame is listed at $149.99 on their website and the headboard is $99.99. The price I paid was $249.99 plus an extra $75 for home delivery. I get the delivery yesterday and it's just the bed frame. So now I am fighting with customer service to get what I paid for or my money back since I was overcharged. They have told me there is no way to contact the store unless I drive there myself from the other city where I live. One customer service rep even gave me the phone number for the store and the managers name when I said I didn't want to wait for an email. That phone number doesn't even connect you to the store! I am very disappointed with my experience and I warn anyone to go to a different store. This place will steal your money and make you jump through a bunch of hoops in an attempt to get what you paid for. At the end of the day, all you will be left with if you're lucky is half your order and a bunch of useless phone numbers that don't allow you to speak to a real person. GO ELSEWHERE. read more

We've bought a bunch of furniture here in the past few years and I'm sure will again in the future. We stopped in to start the search for a new couch. Valerie promised a two week turn around here I am eleven weeks later no furniture and still with out my proper refund. I told these idiots to send me a check because the card was paid off and I didn't want to put it back on the card. I'm not talking less then $500. Guess where it is? On the card. Bought a $600 TV stand in Feb 2021. When we picked it up from warehouse you could tell the box had been opened and taped shut. Found out there was no hardware in the box to put it together. Went back to store and they said they would order hardware. By July I contacted the main office and they said I could not get a refund, but they would order me a new unit. After 4 months I emailed again and ask for either the floor model or my money back. Now a year later they will not even answer me. I. The meantime my new TV is still in the box because I do not have a stand large enough. I give up. Going to go somewhere else to by another TV stand. UPDATED REVIEW: I'm still not very happy with this location, however Ryan has really come through for us. The Arlington location has terrible "customer service" and the salespeople aren't the most honest bunch. We were told that our furniture would be arriving at a given date, for which I had prepared time for it, to find out that it wasn't coming until a much later date that was going to inconvenience us. Ryan had intervened and helped make it possible to get our furniture at a time that worked for us. When we received our furniture, we were a bit shocked/disappointed to find out that there was some sort of misunderstanding with the salesman because we did not get power seats when we were both convinced that we had ordered it. I am still flabbergasted that the middle seat doesn't even come with the option of a power recliner because that little tidbit was not mentioned at the point of sale. Also, worth to mention, while the couch was being delivered, our floor was damaged (dang cheap apartment linoleum). Again we got help from Ryan to get it taken care of, which they had with no problems. All in all, we like our couch very much and that was the only reason we put up with the store. Without Ryan I don't know what we would have done. He was our savior. I give him 5 stars and the store 1. read more

Bought a recliner from them in November, in June it disintegrated, particle board broke causing staples to pull free. Entire chair is coming apart. Had the warranty. They approved a replacement, but Ashley wanted another $100 to deliver a new one and haul away the broken one. I am feeling totally ripped off right now and due to family emergency it will take months before I can afford that. Update: After dealing with a manager at the store, Ryan, the replacement chair is scheduled to arrive Thursday. He was extremely helpful and very pleasant to work with!! read more

We bought kids loft beds, dining set, sectional couch and chair, whole bed room set includes queen bed, two night stands, dresser with mirror, entertainment center from Ashley's. They broke in little over one year.... We have 5 years warranty so called costumer support. They kept putting different person on the phone after the long hold over and over again..... And re-explain over and over again to 5 different people. They don't wanna fix there cheap material products. we paid a lot of our hard working money for... Ones in the showroom looks nice but ones you actually get will brake easy!! Save your money and by your furniture elsewhere. I won't recommend Ashley's to my family and friends. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had buying anything, not just furniture! I spent $900 on a brand new dresser. The first attempt; we pick up the dresser to avoid the $100 delivery fee. We waited almost an HOUR at the warehouse to pick it up, when we had a scheduled time to pick it up and we arrived on time. We were the only ones in the parking lot waiting to pick up so there is absolutely no reason it should have taken that long. When they finally call us to pull up to the loading dock, the dresser is already assembled and carefully packaged in its box to ensure there is no damage in transit. So we were unable to inspect it and the gentleman working the dock had a nasty attitude when we offered to help load it (he was alone) and claimed that this was his job and he had it under control. He then proceeds to slam the dresser into the bed of the truck. He finishes up and we head home. Upon arriving home, getting extra help to move the dresser inside carefully with a dolly (this is a very large heavy piece) we get it unpacked in the room and discover that it is damaged. There are several scuffs on the front, the bottom paneling on the right side is completely sideways and bowed out, very obviously seen from the front and there's a large dent in the front right leg. This is a brand new dresser, not purchased from the outlet and should not have any amount of damage. We call and let them know. It was very difficult to arrange transportation and help with this, we are two single women with severe back issues and cannot move this item on our own. So we request the replacement be delivered at no charge since we just struggled through this process. They schedule us to PICK UP the replacement a week later, so we just figure it out - move everything around and make arrangements. The second attempt; we box the original dresser back up and haul it back to the warehouse. Wait another hour to be called to pull up to the dock, this time we made them take the new dresser out of the box to look for scuffs and dents. There's are no obvious scuffs/dents so he packs it back up in the box and loads it in the bed of our truck. We get home, again carefully dolly it inside and unpack it. We get all of the styrofoam inserts out from between the drawers and realize that ALL of the drawer's tracks are messed up. They are all crooked, do not close flush with the dresser and actually smack into each other causing scuffing when opened. So we cannot open the drawers without causing damage to the dresser. SO again, we call to inform them. This time demanding someone come out to either fix the drawers or refund the dresser. It has been a two week ordeal at this point and we are tired of messing with it. We needed this dresser two weeks ago. Now we're being told new tracks have been ordered and they'll send someone out in a few weeks to fix it?! That's unacceptable. We can't even put anything in the drawers in the meantime to get by bc it's causing damage to all the drawers to open them. So we are having to live with ALL of our clothes in a pile on the floor. That is unacceptable. There's is literally nowhere else we can put them in the meantime. They are very nonchalant about it. I do not appreciate being put on the back burner or pushed aside after spending nearly $1k on one piece of furniture. I don't appreciate having to keep all my clothes on the floor for a month or longer? I expect this business to handle their shit professionally and I have yet to see any professionalism is handling this issue. They could care less. After requesting a refund instead, we were told that is not an option. So we're stuck living with the clothes scattered in a pile until they get around to maybe fixing it? Worst experience EVER. Do not spend your money here, go literally anywhere else. You'll probably get better customer service on OfferUp. read more

We purchased a piece of furniture at Ashley in South Arlington on October 21. We were assured we would receive delivery by Thanksgiving. When the store contacted us to confirm delivery, the date was November 27, five days after Thanksgiving. November 27 came and no word from Ashley. I called to find out about the delivery and was told it would arrive either December 12 or 14. The reason given was that the item was now discontinued. Had we not called, I am assuming Ashley would not have contacted us to this day. I was assured that the general manager of the store would call me four days later. Two days after the promised day, I called the store again, looking for Scott. I was advised he was on vacation. I was assured the item would arrive at their warehouse on December 10. On December 10 I again had to call to schedule delivery of my order. Surprise! It wasn't in. I was told that it was coming in December 18. Guaranteed. I asked what the actual guarantee meant and was basically told it means nothing. I was not surprised. I was assured that Ashley will work with me to schedule delivery of my order before Christmas. Guaranteed. Yeah, yeah. Oh, and we were assured Scott would call us when he gets in Thursday December 13. Today is December 18. No call from Scott, but if you've been with me to here, you are not surprised. We have been told we can have our furniture delivered on Saturday, December 22 anytime between 9 AM and 9 PM. What I mean is that it may arrive any time within this range. I asked for a morning delivery. Um, no can do. "You see, we don't run the delivery company." Here's the basic review. Ashley doesn't care one bit about you. As far as I know they are now acting deliberately to screw me over in every way they possibly can. If I could give them one-googolth of one percent star, I would opt for zero. Save your money. A lot of their overpriced items are available online from other sellers for a lot less. I'm done with Ashley forever except to spread the word about their crookedness and dishonesty. read more

During the holidays, Christmas time, I was in a need to replace my old leather couch, love seat and lazy boy, which I bought from Ashley 15 years ago. It is a heavy set of furniture that I would not be able to move just me and my wife. I stopped by the Ashley store in Arlington, the same store I originally bought my old furniture from 15 years ago. Which throughout years I spent thousands of dollars in. There was a nice piece of L shape couch that my wife loved, and thought it will fit nicely in our living area. We were hesitant at first, but after a couple of visits we decided to go with it, in the condition that they will help us move our old set to the garage. We met this nice salesman at the store his name was Cedric. He promised that delivery crew will help move old furniture to garage. I cleared my garage the night before. Delivery call early in the morning around 7 am the next day, while I was starting my work day from home. As they arrived around 9 am. I asked them to help move my old furniture to garage, they refused. I told them I was promised at store that they are going to help. They didn't budge. I even offered them some tip they didn't care. I am working from, very eager to go back to my work, and I thought I was a customer for Ashley who spent a good amount of money and this is how I get treated. I would rather spend my money somewhere else instead of dealing with their lying salesman and uncooperative delivery crew. Stay away if you can there are better stores who respect their customers. read more

Run from this company! I picked out two matching pieces of furniture. Was told that one piece wouldn't arrive for 2-3 more months. Paid with my debit card. Come to find out when setting up delivery for piece #1 that piece #2 wouldn't be ready for possibly 8 or more months. I quickly cancelled my order, but they refused to return the 10% "restocking fee" even though nothing was ever delivered and I was given false information by the salesman. I have the "promised" dates in writing, too. After leaving a poor Google review, a customer liaison replied sounding like she would help me out. When I emailed her, she quickly responded that I signed a contract agreeing to the restocking fee if the order was cancelled. Unfortunately, this isn't waived even if they are at fault. read more

I was originally told it would be "store credit". after deliberation, I was informed that it could be refunded via original payment method. I've been told multiple things by multiple employees at this location. Obviously hey are wrong, or no one communicates with one another. ***update-- I still have two pieces of unusable furniture that need replacing. Neither the store nor the repair service that Ashley uses has contacted me to satisfy me as a customer. One guy did come out to look at the pieces, and his report stated that I refused repair, which was a lie. I told him that the salesman had requested twice for total replacements. So with Ashley's basically it's a no-win situation. I will never again buy even a pillow from Ashley's!!!!!
