I had a very pleasant experience with Sam's Furniture, in large part thanks to Jackie, and the…read moredelivery guys, Mike and Charles. When I first arrived at Sam's I was greeted by Jackie. She simply said "welcome," and waited to approach until it was apparent I was ready to be approached. I was a bit worried going in that it would be like the car lot experience. Thankfully, it wasn't. I saw the couch I wanted, and Jackie handily provided this information (anyone considering this place will find this helpful): Since I was a first time customer, I could get fres shipping on my items. (I didn't spend this much, so shipping was $79.99). They do finance (but I paid outright). The do not deliver on Sundays or Mondays (Yes to Saturdays). Generally speaking, the furniture is not available on site, same day. You purchase your items, and schedule a pickup or delivery. The warehouse is on Beach Street in Fort Worth. If they deliver they move in the item (even if you are upstairs like me). You can also pay to have your old item moved, $20 per item (as I did with my old couch). The game killer may be for anyone considering this place that you can't do same day. Also, if you need a Saturday delivery, you may have to wait even longer. Mine was delivered 30 mins ago and I ordered it 2 weeks ago. I have never heard of a "sofa emergency," so that shouldn't be an awful thing. The prices were very reasonable. My super swell sofa was $349. They also had a "Clearance Zone" with some good stuff! Jackie was able to communicate with me via phone following the process during business hours and handled all of my questions with ease. When the item arrived, Charles and Mike delivered, moved my old one, set up the new one, did a walk by with me to ensure quality, took photos and asked me to sign. I have such mixed feelings about Arlington Resale. First things first, the inside is so nice for a…read morethrift store- it's beautiful! There is a kids' boutique that is open now. It is on the left when you walk in. I find the prices at Arlington Resale to be quite high when compared to alternatives. That being said, I can swing a few extra dollars for a quality item. My issue comes from selection. There's just not a lot of clothing options, which is what I thrift for. It's very slim. I love dresses, there is not many there. Even going months apart, they still have the same dresses up. I'm just not sure if they don't regularly receive clothing donations or if it's a matter of stock not being rotated out or added? Another issue I have are the shoes. They have the ability to do sizing, there are plenty of shelves. Instead, they organize by color. I almost skip it entirely when I would usually check out the shoes. It's not easy to look through, and many of the shoes have sat for so long they have a layer of dust on them. I like their crafting section, which is why I am giving three stars. They are organized fabulously and well priced on crafting supplies. They also carry a good deal of home items, albeit they are overpriced.

We were a bit pressed for time, so we didn't get to really look at everything, other than to take a quick look through the warehouse. The warehouse is a real sensory overload. They also have yard sculpture pieces outside that I did not look at. They have good prices on some really good looking cabinets, as well as doors of all kinds. We have a older house, and so will be slowly renovating. DHW will be our first priority of places to come to for that vintage look, as well as the current stuff. Maria was very nice to show me around, and we were stunned at how much stuff they have.
