I'm not surprised to see such a low rating of this company! If I could rate lower than 1 I would!! They don't care about their customers only their pockets. BUYER BEWARE! Most of their online purchases come direct from manufacturer - may as well shop Way Fair or Amazon maybe you'd get better customer service. I placed an order for a dining set - arrived with a broken table after a week of POINTLESS back and forth I still hadn't heard back and called again. Got my replacement table. Started building the table and chairs to discover one of the chairs was broken! What kind of garbage is being sent out?! There was nothing wrong with the boxes so it was shipped this way! After being hung up on and refused service to finally being promised expedited replacement another week later I finally had a complete set non broken set! Specifically calling out Supervisor Marjorie T who hung up on me and ignored my emails requesting a call back and lied to me by promising expedited replacement. Ashley Furniture in Mesquite, Texas customer service and warranty is terrible. I purchased a leather sofa with chaise lounge in September 2024. In two weeks it developed a dip in middle of chaise. I initiated a Web site warranty ticket. Had to call twice to CS to get it completed. Process was send pictures, receive ordered parts based on description of problem, when parts arrive, call back and request a technician service call. Parts to me (6 weeks two more calls inquiring on parts), then upon receipt of parts, call back to schedule only then get a technician service call. This took 4 weeks and two calls to get scheduled. Tech came, who was great (a contractor Ashley has no service techs) and took chaise apart then determined they did not send correct pad required. He said normally a week to 10 days and Ashley they would call. They never called, or sent parts three weeks went by. I called them, took two calls they never called back with info first one. Two months later, still no part received, I went to store spoke to whom I thought was a manager. Fed up, I wanted a return for credit to change to a different couch. He issued an Exchange return ticket said they would call within 72 hrs. and determine store credit. No call for two weeks I called store: told manager does not handle this, and person whose business card I was given no longer works there. I was given a toll free numbere to call about this so called ER (exchange Return) ticket number. Representative told me no such thing as a exchange return. I explained 7 months trying to get repair, finally told I would be provided some amount for a credit return. I asked to speak to manager please. He said no supervisors on duty so I could leave a request for them to call. He said 24-48 hours is normal time to return call, but no guarantee. I do not believe they will call. THey never did on any other without me calling them. THIS IS THE WORST CS EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANY COMPANY. read more

I seriously regret not reading these reviews before placing my order. If I could, I'd give them zero stars! Their customer service is absolutely horrendous. I ordered a bedroom set back in October, and after waiting two long months, it finally arrived in December. Given the holiday season, I tried to be understanding, but what did they deliver? A refurbished headboard! The damage was so obvious--it was literally glued together. I refused to accept it because I paid for a brand-new set, not some patched-up stuff. They promised to replace it, but then completely ghosted me about the re-delivery. I had to chase them down with endless calls and emails just to get an ETA. Finally, after weeks of frustration, they brought another set a few days ago--and guess what? It was broken AGAIN. Even their own delivery guy advised us not to accept it. I reached out to customer service and told them I wanted to cancel everything as they're telling me it'll take another month to get the replacement, and there's still no guarantee it won't be another broken set based on my experience so far. My bedroom has been unusable for over 3 months because I sold my old bed to make space for this one. When I asked to cancel my order, the agent said she'd have the store manager call me--which never happened. I've called the store repeatedly and sent emails, but of course, no response. I am not a fan of this place. I will say, there is something very satisfying and organic about walking into a furniture store and actually touching the things you're going to buy. Seeing them in person makes it so much easier to visualize your space. In an age where 80% of everything I buy is online I appreciate the experience of physically shopping. That being said, this entire thing just sucked. There were literally two people on the entire sales floor which is huge. They were hiding in the back on their phones. When we asked where everyone was they literally just said oh they're somewhere out here. No help. We had to chase the young guy down who ended up helping us. He was about as indifferent as he could possibly be. Julian? Justice? I don't even remember his name and I should've paid attention because he should really give up sales as a profession. I almost never write bad reviews. I can find the positive in almost any experience but truly this kid should not work with the public. Also I think their financing is crap. Anyways we did end up buying a couch because we basically had to right then due to some unexpected circumstances. But I absolutely would not have if I had had ANY other immediate option with all of this Covid crap going on. The only redeeming factors were number one; they offer a good service plan where you can get it fixed or replaced for up to 5 years and that was reasonably priced. Two, I like the design of the couch. For 2000$, I better. Ha. All in all, I'd say skip it and just order off of Wayfair. UPDATE. I regret so much spending my hard-earned money just to get some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. From the store (not returning phone calls to resolve issue), delivery person (rushing and not letting me check furniture before he left - might have been because he brought his two small children with him), and call center (basically, we can't do anything to help you and can't force the store to). So WHO can I talk to for resolution??? I'm stuck with furniture with a motor that doesn't work. Supposedly a new one has been ordered but nobody can give me an estimated timeframe of when I will receive it. After spending over $300 for a battery, my salesman didn't disclose I would need to purchase from them a different cable. But now I'm expected to make the one-hour trip to go pick it up. It isn't ethical they can treat their customers this way but not provide any way to just return the furniture, get a refund and be done with them. Worst customer service I have ever encountered! Where do I start... well, when we first walked in (on a Tuesday) we were greeted and overall pestered by a man named CT (Charles) who treated us like he was try to sell us a car. Saying things like, "I can get you the best price if you give me a commitment to buy it" and "I'm a veteran expert associate and will get you what you need to make a deal". When we finally landed on what we wanted to buy ($4k worth of furniture), everything he promised he could do for us came unraveled. Keep in mind that I already have their credit card with a $6k limit. He first said he could get us 60 months no interest, he came back and said he could only do 6 months no interest. He first said he could get all our furniture to us by Saturday, then changed it to he could get us all the furniture by the following Tuesday instead. Over $4k worth of furniture and they wanted to charge $400 for shipping. He then suggested we get a Uhaul if we are not satisfied with the delivery charge and pick it up at their warehouse in Fort Worth (60 miles one way). At this point we had it with dealing with this man so we asked to speak to someone else. He gets his manager (Michael) who was able to rework the deal to get us at least 24 months no interest, but couldnt do anything about the delivery fee. All while telling CT that he's wasn't listening to our needs. After talking with my wife, we decided to take the deal and pick up our furniture from the warehouse ourselves to save the delivery fee on the following Tuesday. It gets worse... on Saturday I get a call from CT at 8:30pm and he tells me there's a hiccup in my paperwork and I'll have to come back to the store to fix it. I told him that I can't get back up there until Monday and asked if this affects my pick up date. He said to hold off and he will call me back on Monday to confirm (my pick up date is the next day on Tuesday). So I wait. He calls me around mid day on Monday and says he's got "good news" that I won't have to come up and redo my paperwork, but I'll only be able to pick up 2 out of 3 pieces of furniture on Tuesday and I can pick up the rest that following weekend. I told him I'm having to rent a Uhaul and that this agreement is unacceptable to me and that I need to speak to someone other than him. He says he'll have his boss call me back and hangs up. Hours later, Michael (the manager) calls me back and say "hey, I'm sorry about the confusion but you can pick all the furniture up tomorrow and you shouldn't have any problems". If you thought the story ends there, nope, it gets worse. The next day, after I get out of work, I pick up the Uhaul and realize that the warehouse closes at 6pm. My maps say I should show up right before 6pm so I tried to give the warehouse a call to let them know the situation, however, the phone number to the warehouse is disconnected. So I call Michael. He tells me that he has "tried to call the warehouse several times and he is getting the same disconnection, but as long as I get there before 6 it shouldn't be a problem. We arrive at 5:58, knock on the door (because it's already locked) and this child behind a desk just straight up ignores my wife who's knocking on the door. I get out of the Uhaul and go up to the door and the child finally looks up, annoyed. She comes to the door and tells us they are already closed and there's no one there to pick our items. I tell her the situation and how we tried to call several times. She tells me (in her mush mouthed monotone) that they don't have a phone number, we'll have to come back tomorrow, slams the door on us, and proceeds to ignore us again. I call Michael, who doesn't answer, so I call the store directly and speak to a man named Javier who says, "if the warehouse is telling you they're closed then you'll have to come back tomorrow". At this point, I am livid! I tell him to just cancel my order. Javier just shrugs me off by saying "cool, give me a few minutes while I process your cancellation. 20 minutes later he tells me it's done. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! read more

The sales people will say anythingbto make a sale. They promised that the book case I purchased would arrive assembled. That was a lie! Both my wife and l stressed this point. I called to complain and, as always, it "that is not my department, there is nothing I can or will do, I will forward your issue yo the right person" SURE YOU WILL! NOTHING! On April 15 we went to Ashley Furniture in Mesquite and decided to purchase some new furniture there because it was made in the USA. We had a good experience with the salesman and the manager and they have us a good deal. We paid cash and a delivery fee and were told the furniture would be delivered May 7. They called Tuesday and asked which of Friday or Saturday would be better and we stated Saturday as originally scheduled by the salesman at time of purchase. Today they called and said they are booked up and can't deliver until the 14th, 4 weeks after purchase. The girl was rude and hung up on us. Update 7.14.2020 I spoke with "Ana" in customer support. Her initial tone was very rude and it set the tone for the call. This lady would not help me with the status of my refund. My furniture was picked up on July 1, 2020 I am supposed to be getting a FULL refund. literally no one can tell you anything regarding your account which is shocking to me. After a few minutes I realized how useless this girl was and I asked to speak with someone who was more knowledgeable and could help me. She kept putting me on hold and she told me multiple times that I couldn't speak to anyone else. I told her I would wait on hold and that I was done talking to her. This girl was incredibly rude and when you have a $3,000 refund coming back to you, you would like to know especially after the experience I have had. She told me I was "clogging her line" and I told her "well y'all ruin my day so I guess we are even". DO NOT SHOP AT THIS HELL HOLE. I just want my refund so I can be done with the place!!!!!!!!!!! Update as of 6.21.2020 I went on Friday to the store to confirm my delivery for this Tuesday, I even made su sure she notated it. Saturday I received 2 texts saying I needed to verify delivery and an email also saying I needed to verify. How many times must I confirm my delivery, especially after they messed up?!?! I also emailed the person that replied to this review and have not heard from Ashley's. Look like I will have to go up to the store AGAIN to make sure it is coming tomorrow. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY'S! The first time we went, the guy helping us referred us to go somewhere else for furniture. I was annoyed because I had find a few pieces I had liked and was ready to purchase a few pieces. The guy was nice, but he referred us to a bad part of town. We did not go in to the place he recommended and I was offended that he would send us over to that area. Buying at Ashley was okay. It took a very, very long time, but our salesperson was nice. He was very insistent about buying the warranty for care and cleaning, so we went for it. Now, a year later we have a large stain and the couch has taken some wear. I submitted a claim to Platinum Warranty Services by phone. I had to send a minimum of 3 pictures by email, including the tag under the couch. They never responded to my email. It took me following up 3 times to get a response, when they told me they left me a voicemail. I called back and they told me my claim was denied because it was out of the 30-day window. They took no responsibility for their delay in responding to my email, because "that's not their process." I asked to cancel and they said someone would call me in 2-3 business days. I'm furious. I'll never shop Ashley again, and I'll be sure to discourage everyone I talk to from buying a warranty. Shame on me for thinking they'd follow through. read more

Do NOT purchase from here. 6/24/21 - initial purchase date with $1,000.00 down payment. 8/18/21 - date of cancellation. (Supposedly) Throughout this time period I had to continually call/text for updates about my furnitures arrival due to them initially saying it was going to arrive at the beginning of July. Once July came around, I again had to call and ask for an update to which I was told it would arrive late July. Same story, different(further) date. Not once did they call or notify me with updates. I had to be the one looking for them. On 8/18/21 I called again to receive and update, to which I was told my furniture would arrive in approximately 11 weeks.. I decided to go in-store to cancel my order, get a refund for the $1,000.00 on the same day and take my business else where. (NFM ). I was given a Sales Order Cancellation form by Evelyn which read, "please allow up to 21 days for your refund to be processed." I am happy to say that I took my business elsewhere, due to receiving a better quality, bed room set ONLY a week later! 9/27/21- TRUE date of cancellation. I waited more than than a month to receive my refund. In which I am still waiting for today. I decided to go in-store once again to receive an update about my refund and they tell me that my order was not canceled. So, that's the true reason why my refund had not yet arrived. The gentleman at the desk was polite and helped me properly cancel my order and process my refund (Hopefully). This time though, I actually did receive a receipt for the $1,000.00 being refunded. If I could give negative number it would be -10! Worst furniture experience of my life! Told them I needed bedroom furniture a new home. Movers were late in bringing our furniture and my brother in law was coming and I needed a bed for him to sleep in. We paid for premium delivery and set up. When delivery guys came, He told me we didnt pay for slats so he couldnt set the bed up. I replied that I had, and he said it wasnt on the order. Tried calling customer service and you get Singapore. Wasted an hour on the phone and got no where, so we went back down to the store. Salesman apologized for the error and said they could bring missing slats in 2 weeks. I reminded him my brother in law was going to be there in 2 days, so that didnt work. Said nothing he could do. Went to manager on duty, after much arguing, he said he could have missing slats delivered next day and they would be installed. Delivery guy shows up, says he contacts with Ashley and he was told to only drop off, he cannot install. Since the movers had not brought out belongings, we had no tools to install, (we needed a drill). Our house was being painted and the painter offered to do for us. After reading the instructions, he pointed out that we were missing parts. Again, called customer service (in Singapore) and wasted yet another hour on the phone. Had to drive down to the store AGAIN! We argued with the manager AGAIN, and was told they would have to special order the parts and it would take 2 weeks. Told him my brother in law would be there the next day. He said ok to set slats with no legs as it was only going to be for a short time. after 2 weeks, we called customer service AGAIN, after getting no where, drove down to the store AGAIN!! Was told that the woman that was supposed to set up was out on leave. Huh? Is someone following up on her work? Oh, I guess not. Has to wait another week for parts to come. Then had to schedule technician to come out and install. That took another week! When he came out, he said they sent the wrong parts and he was going to have to reorder. WHAT??? It took another 2 weeks, called to tell them parts had arrived and they said it would be another 2 weeks before they could send someone out. When the guy came, he tried to tell me that they sent extra parts that we didnt need. I told him to look at the instructions and the parts sent were indeed the correct ones. It took him about an hour to correct. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! After all this., the quality of the furniture is poor and just engineered wood. I paid almost $2500 for this bedroom furniture, cant believed I was basically scammed. They told us 3 months because of covid I said that's fine we can wait. Our furniture came in scattered until November. Not once did they're ever give us updates on our furniture. WE had to call them like every day. And on top of that they brought me the wrong sofa chase. In between June and November I went to the store in MESQUITE, TX (do not go there do not go to any Ashley store period) to complain about the service we were getting. We paid y'all $6k of our money cash to get treated like shit. They said the least they can do is refund $150. LOL This company just wants your money. Period. They don't care to make sure your items came in or when they come in. All they care about is their MONEY. Fast forward to day March 2021 an outlet on my nightstand is not working. I called a month ago to get someone to come out and fix it. "Oh yes ma'am we'll get someone out there". Oh really when? UPDATE: I have to give this store an A for responsiveness. UPDATE: After an initial disappointment, the store made good on the purchase. I now have my beautiful new recliner, delivery people were helpful and nice. I'm a happy customer again. I purchased a recliner from Ashley and when it was delivered I found some defects. I was also disappointed in the delivery itself. My first understanding when I contacted the store was that I couldn't return the recliner but that the store would send a person to try to repair it. I don't think it can be repaired and was very disappointed. However, after I posted a negative review on here, I was contacted almost immediately by a manager who offered to quickly replace the defective recliner with a new one. I agreed and am now on the schedule to receive the new recliner in a few days. Customer service is everything! Bad communication and customer service I purchased sofa on 1-2-2023 it was not delivered until 1-28-2023. They do not have a good way of communicating and phone lines were always messed up. I will never purchase from them again unless it is last option. They also over charged me for my sofa I had to go back a week later and ask for payment adjustment. They sent me an invoice, I signed and agreed to the invoice and paid in full on 2/23. 2 weeks later they call and want another $157 from me. Said they made mistake on the delivery charge, made another mistake on the protection plan, and made a mistake on the price of one of the tables. I would not agree to the additional charges, they came back with another price, and I did not agree to that either. I told them to cancel the order and issue a full refund. The store manager sent me a cancellation form and tried to charge me an additional $83 to cancel the order! So they won't honor the invoice and want to charge me a cancellation fee? read more

After several weeks, it came in damaged so, we had to wait 6 to 8 weeks for a new one. We also ordered a bench for our breakfast area. After waiting several weeks, it also came in damaged. Another 6 to 8 weeks for an exchange. We attempted to cancel the order and just to go the store and buy new chairs. That is apparently to complicated for Ashley Furniture to achieve. The day of the install we start removing the tags they put on the glass of the frame which is dumb when we removed one of the tags the background was faded and it showed where the tag was very noticeable and very tacky .We took it back because they sold us damaged goods and they refused , the manager and another employee had an attitude after we explain to them the situation and they did not budge , you buy it and it's yours if we sell you damage goods too bad .We advised them how we are going to write reviews and they said go ahead it's just the way it is good luck. Will never shop at this store again. Terrible customer service and ridiculous returns policy! Wife and saw a table on Ashley website that looked good but we wanted to see it in person at the Ashley store. Unfortunately they did not have it in stock but said they would match the website price if we ordered from them. Had the table delivered ... all good so far. Set up table and it was too large for our dining room. Called customer service and they said fine, it was within the 72 hour delivery period and they would call back with return instructions. Next day they called back and said they had to refer the order to the store customer service. Next day the store customer service (Ashley Mesquite) called and said their policy is no returns unless the item is damaged. I explained that's not what it said on the website and they told me the website is a different company with different policy. Lesson learned for me never to buy from them again. If a company cannot back up their product then it's not worth buying from them. I should have read the Yelp reviews before shopping there. read more

I ordered a sofa chair and two stools. The sofa chair was delivered in the wrong color and damaged. I have had to go above and beyond to even get in contact with an actual human. The store I bought the chair from will, under no circumstance answer the phone. I have had to make two trips to the store to flag someone down that wasn't trying to avoid me. ( you would think as sales people you would greet potential costumers walking thought the door) . In the back of the store there is a customer service area and when I asked why no one answers the phone the man working behind the desk said "we turned them all off because we kept getting calls and the ringing was annoying". The hold times with the national number are ridiculous and when you finally manage to reach someone, expect to be transferred around until the call is dropped. If you've never shopped here before.. don't. If you have had the misfortune in doing so, keep track of everyone you speak with take down names and make sure to keep a record of any tracking, order or request number that they give to you. If they sent a request to have anything done tell them you want a copy of the request and don't hang up or move on until you have it. There are so many issues with how this company is being ran. I can't think of just one person to blame. This level of unprofessionalism and disorganization is a result of disregard for the workplace on multiple levels. This store needs to communicate better when it comes to scheduled delivery. My father purchased some furniture from this store around the end of October and it was set up to be delivered today (12-15-2021). This morning he received an email confirming that his furniture was scheduled to be delivered today, so he spent his morning clearing out old furniture and getting the house ready for the new stuff. However, after not hearing from anyone regarding delivery time, he finally emailed the store around 3pm this afternoon to find out what was going on and that's when he was informed that the furniture has not even arrived to their warehouse yet and the delivery will have to be rescheduled for a later date. I understand that the email sent this morning was probably just some automated thing, but y'all should be double checking the status of your scheduled deliveries the day of and communicating with your customers as soon as possible if there is some kind of hold up instead of saying nothing unless the customer contacts you. Do better. Edit to add: the ONLY reason I'm giving two stars is because the sales rep we worked with at the store when the furniture was bought was FANTASTIC. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name. The lack of communication regarding delivery delays doesn't even deserve one star. What a terrible experience - every number I call refers me to call the other numbers until you're just going in circles. No one can give the same estimates for delivery - I got 6 different dates within 10 min between 2 numbers. I keep calling with no success and somehow the estimated date of delivery keeps getting pushed farther and farther. I knew this company was bad, but the estimated delivery on their website was faster than the third party companies we considered... needless to say, do not buy from this store online or in store. This is a continuation, after 6 months of waiting for a replacement sofa customer service said we could return the damaged sofa for a full refund. We have a ticket with a return # and everything seems legit. We were told 3-5 business days and we would get our money. We didn't get our money back. Then customer service told us 3-7 business days then another person said 7-9 business days. On day 10 another person said the previous person typed in 7-10 days. I bought my furniture on 2/5 at Mesquite location and have yet to hear anything from anyone.. When I purchased furniture, I was told by salesman George that I would hear from him in 2 days to get me a date on delivery for my couches & Ottoman because he couldn't give me an estimated date.. No problem. I was given a date for bedroom furniture and mattress to be delivered and I have received nothing. I try calling store.. No answer. I submit a request for call back and nothing. I called 866-436-3393 and it directs me back to the store where you purchased furniture.. So I called 866 number back and stay on hold for over 30min just to be disconnected.. This has happened a few times.. So frustrating.. I understand the delay due to COVID but common courtesy would have went a long way. I really like Ashley's furniture but due to terrible customer service and care for the customers will ensure I do not shop here again. Also, when I was told I was getting a great warranty on the furniture never was it mentioned that I was paying over 700$ for the warranty.. This of course was not mentioned when working the numbers for furniture.. I paid a lot of money for the furniture.. A phone call would have been nice to say the least! read more

I went in 8-08-15 to buy a dining set. When they delivered it I didn't notice until later that same day that one of the chairs was broken. I called the store and they told me it would take two weeks to deliver another chair. Today I noticed that two of the other chairs had staples sticking out and the fourth chair had a screw fall out when I moved it. I called back today and the woman, Janet Hoover told me that there was no record of them ever bringing me another chair. She also told me that I was pretty much stuck with all four broken chairs and they weren't going to replace or exchange them for anything. I haven't even had this dining set for a week!
