On March 3, 2026, around 6:00 PM, I called Ashley's Furniture to inquire about purchasing a bed for my grandson. A store representative quoted me a price over the phone. I arrived at the store less than an hour later to make the purchase. When I got there, the representative told me she needed to check the price again and stated that if it was lower, she would honor the lowest price. However, she then informed me that the price was now showing $100 more than what I had just been quoted. She also stated that she was the manager on duty. The following morning, I waited to speak with the store manager. She said she had been briefed on the situation and, interestingly, explained that they now had a "special offer" that allowed me to purchase the item at the original quoted price. While I appreciate that the price was ultimately adjusted, it should not require a second conversation or escalation for a business to honor a price quoted to a customer--especially when the customer arrives within the hour to make the purchase. In my opinion, pricing provided by store representatives should be accurate and honored the first time. read more

BUYER BEWARE..... do not buy anything from Ashley furniture in Colonial Heights VA unless you are prepared to lose your money. We purchased furniture several weeks ago and paid for it outright. They are predatory while you are in the store and make false promises to get you to purchase their furniture. After they collected our money, we never heard from them again. I had to reach out to them to verify delivery of my furniture, which was verified by them only to find out the day prior to the delivery date that they did not actually have a few of the pieces in stock and I would have to wait until whenever they may get it again. They are holding my money hostage and refuse to refund any of it. I would like to spare any other person from what we are going through with them. read more

Great experience? That's an understatement. Tonight's shopping at Ashley Furniture in Colonial Heights was filled with such a positive vibe and atmosphere! A huge part of this was due to the incredible welcome and service we received from Jess. Not only did she give us our space to look around, but she was also there to answer any questions that we had, and even went above and beyond to speak to her manager to find answers she couldn't provide. Note to store manager: The only thing that could've made our shopping experience better would have been a complimentary coffee bar station like other furniture stores provide. There's just something about shopping with a hot cozy drink in your hand that makes looking at furniture more aesthetically pleasing! We only had our king size sleigh bed for a month before it broke down the team that put together the bed initially did not put it together properly and it took Ashley's distribution three times to get the right parts to fix our bed so here we are still with an over $3000 bed that we only slept in for a week. this will be the only time using Ashley Furniture I would not recommend Rooms to Go here I come! read more

Staff is wonderful but the delivery service is what turned me off. If you live on Fort Gregg Adams they are definitely restricted on delivery dates. Subsequently, although they recently had a promotion on free delivery the fact it's about 10 percent of what the item costs is definitely overpriced. We were looking for pieces to help,our son furnished his new apartment. Greeted by Noura as we came into the store, we explained what we were looking for and why. Our son has some physical issues, so we followed him as he groused the store. Noura was quick to recognize styles and colors he was interested in, but would point out pieces he could consider. At the end of our visit, we had several pieces under consideration, but David wanted to "sleep" on the decision. Noura drafted a quote for us to ensure we would get the sale pricing, and agreed to meet us the next day. The next day, we returned and finalized our purchases. Throughout this whole process, Noura was quietly competent, letting us drive the discussions, being a good consultant in style and colors, and helping my son create a room he will be proud of. She was extremely helpful and kind hearted with us as we asked questions in regards to adjustable bed frames and mattresses, patio sets, and bedroom sets. I'd recommend her to everyone! I just want to try and save y'all some money if y'all are thinking of getting furniture from Ashley HomeStore. Last night, our bed completely broke. This was purchased in August of 2019, so we haven't even had it for two years yet. I called and spoke with their customer service department and was told immediately there was nothing they could do because I was outside of the one year manufacturers warranty. If this had happened to a bed we bought 10 years ago, I may be able to let it slide, but this isn't even two years old and this happens to a product they sold. Why would anybody want to spend $1,000+ on a bedroom set if this is the outcome for a fairly new product and they offer no assistance or try to make it right? The review for this place keeps dropping lower and lower as the days keep passing. Back story: Came in on 8/26, handed over almost $1500 for furniture after being estimated it would be delivered on 9/10, received a call the next day that it wouldn't arrive in the warehouse until 9/16, but they would call me to schedule a delivery on 9/16. Also, on 9/8, I ordered some a table and chairs from the military exchange online, which also goes through Ashley. Now you are caught up. So 9/16 rolls around and I have no word from them at 5pm. So I call the warehouse... They are closed on Mondays. Not sure how they were going to call if no one was there to schedule the delivery. I feel like I have been lied to twice now, the first time being after they took my money and gave me a B.S. estimate that they knew wouldn't happen. I call AND email on 9/17. The first person I call tells me that she cannot tell me anything, I have to be transferred to the "ETA Department" to find out when my furniture will be delivered. She transfers me and it eventually goes to voicemail. I leave a message that still has not be returned. I receive a call from the military exchange telling me that my table will be delivered on 9/18 from 12-3pm. The email correspondence goes "Hi. This is Amy M. and my order is 111111111." The subject line says " Amy M - Order 111111111". The response is "Order 111111111 will be arriving 9/18 from 12-3pm". I reply "Are you sure that isn't order 222222222?" They respond "I'll look into it and email you back." Of course they never do so on 9/18, my table shows up from the exchange and after 17 minutes and 41 seconds on hold, the same first person I talked to yesterday informs me that order 11111111 will not be arriving in the warehouse until 9/27 now, and then I still have to wait two days or so for it to be delivered from there. THIRTY FOUR DAYS from the day they took my money and did not give me anything in return, even a phone call, or two minutes worth of time to check the order number and give me the correct information when I called repeatedly, left messages, and emailed. Had this company told me they had ZERO intention of actually giving me what I paid for more than a month ago, I would have taken my $1500 and bought my furniture elsewhere. I LITERALLY have been waiting to have somewhere to sit this entire time because they have my money and my furniture. I have also been told twice now to reach out to the company, or they would reach out to me so they could "address my concerns" but no one has addressed anything. Do not, under any circumstances, buy from this company. * * * BTW, 9/27 has now rolled around and since they haven't called yet, I called them again and my furniture has been delayed AGAIN until at least 10/3 plus delivery. FORTY DAYS since this company stole my money before they will allegedly give me my furniture, and counting. * * * I called on 9/28 to get my money back since I am unwilling g to wait to 10/3 to get my furniture. At first I am told they can only give me a store credit, but after I Express my concerns, the sales lady I spoke to says she can have someone call me back. For the first time ever, someone actually does return my call when they say they will and he informs me that "it is only my dresser that is delaying my order until 10/11 but they have plenty of other things I can purchase instead that they do have in stock if I want a store credit instead of an actual refund." And this is the problem I have with this company. In the 1 day since I called last to check on my order, it has been delayed another EIGHT days. So either no one called, which has been an ongoing theme, my order is cancelled and no one bothers to tell you, or the person I spoke to 24 hours prior lied about the date so I wouldn't be as angry that it is only getting delayed by a few days multiple times instead of by two weeks at a time. Either way, I asked for my money back because I SEVERELY doubt this company's ability to ever actually come through with the merchandise they promise. It would have been FORTY SIX days (plus 2 days for a scheduled delivery) between the time they took my money and the time they would (allegedly, assuming it doesn't get delayed again) have delivered it. Since this will be my last complaint about them, assuming they refund my money in a timely manner like they said they would, I'll leave this long review at this: If you have an item posted for sale, to draw in the crowds, maybe actually have the item you are selling. Don't deliberately mislead everyone by selling way more items than you could ever possibly make. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DON'T EVER SHOP AT THIS LOCATION. the best part of the experience was picking the furniture. BRANDON AND RANDY were great. after that....everything went down hill. They didn't deliver my bed on the anticipated date 10/22/22. Customer care promised to call by the end of the business day to tell me when it would be delivered. That never happened. I called to the store 10/23/22. They said to call customer care in Monday. GUESS WHAT?!?! Customer care is closed on Monday. The store ordered the wrong sofa and loveseat. I called customer care, the rep never submitted the claim to rectify the situation 10/24/22. I finally got someone to do it who promised to have a response to me in 48 hrs on 10/25/22. This never happened because the store failed to submit documentation to consumer care. I called the store on 10/26 & 10/27 and they said they never spoke to customer care. I called customer care on Saturday 10/29/22, and waited on hold for 1hr 36 min and no one came to the phone. On 11/1/22, I spoke to customer care who indicated that they were still waiting on paperwork from the store. I called the store and they tell me that the paperwork is with the sales rep who is off and won't return until Thursday. Then Eddie, the Regional Manager told me that he would look for the information and call me back. This was around 1:30. Guess what...no call back. So I called back to the store at 5pm asking if the paper Had been found and sent. He said no and that is still have to wait until Thursday. I then call customer care back. I told the rep what he said about the paperwork, and she said that she would talk to her manager to escalate the situation. Well guess who was calling on the other line to talk to her supervisor...EDDIE. The rep was able to clear up the issue and told me to go to the store to re-order the set. As soon as I got to the store, I spoke to Eddie, he got the set ordered, but I certainly feel that I should be given a discount a pillow for me bed, something. Guess what he thinks is a fair exchange...giving me free delivery for an error that I didn't cause. So if you are looking for good customer service. Please take your money, time, and energy somewhere else. My first and last time doing any business with Ashley's in Colonial Heights!!!!! read more

I purchased a living room set with tables. I was told the furniture would be delivered within a week. That week came and went. Called was told it would be delivered the following week, which it was. I confirmed with the CSR at delivery the strap to hold the pieces together was missing, it was never sent. 6 weeks after purchase still waiting for the end tables and coffee table. I can't seem to get an answer on where the tables are. I was planning on purchasing additional furniture from this store BUT that won't be happening now! This is honestly the worst place you could buy any furniture from ESPECIALLY if they have to deliver. we ordered 2 bedroom sets and a dinning room set from here and not only did it take 3 months after they said it would for our stuff to arrive but it has been nothing but PROBLEMS. The tech put one bedroom set together in 3 different colors and than processed to say "oh you didn't order it this way?". The next problem was 3 months after having the items the headboard had a panel that warped and they told me that I had to submit a claim, claims told me that it was a manufacturer warranty. after going in circles with them for MONTHS to get the head board fixed they proceeded to break the foot board and two drawers when replacing things that the TECH (SAME TECH EVERYTIME, even after I requested different ones). Then we had to schedule someone to come out to replace something the last tech broke they never gave a timeframe and when I called the night before told me I couldn't get the time frame yet that they were still making calls and I'd have to wait. after not receiving a call I called early the next morning to find out my timeframe was 9am-noon. At noon received a call that the technician couldn't make it. RESCHEDULED AGAIN. Then recovered a time frame and waited and when the tech didn't show up called the customer care and she told me I was never given the time frame I stated even though I received two text messages and two calls. ABSOLUTE JOKE! and all that has been done about this OVER A YEAR LATER is instore credit at this location HIGHLY don't recommend it. read more

The sales rep told me that the desk was in the Fredericksburg warehouse but would be shipped and be ready for pick up the coming Thursday. My wife and I were extremely happy. She needed the desk since she has been working from home for a year and basically unsure when she is going back. When the week started, I decided to call and check the status of the desk to ensure things were on track for pick up Thursday. I called @ashleyhomestore on Tuesday, and sure enough they tell me that the desk will be there on Thursday. The rep specifically said that it will be read for pick up around 5pm Thursday. So, again we are excited and eager to get her desk. Thursday comes and I call @ashleyhomestore at 430pm to let them know that I am coming to get the desk. You guessed it. Its not there. Not only is it not there, they tell me the same thing they told me before, "it was in the Fredericksburg warehouse and it would be shipped and ready for pick up later in the week". Ok... so clearly something went wrong, or they are totally lying. I was rather upset but still professional about the mishaps. When I got on the line with the manager, he made no effort to resolve my frustration. All that he could offer was to have the product shipped directly to me for another $99. REALLY! A manager of such a large furniture store who did not deliver what/when they promised has no options other than up charge their customer?! That was his only solution or to cancel my order. Of course, I canceled. I will never shop there again, and I will tell all my family, friends, and clients to avoid this place. Where to start... we ordered a living room set, bedroom set and drawers... paid for everything CASH... 3 months later and we're still missing our stuff after being promised and lied to again and again about when our stuff will be here. Then when our living room set finally came in it was completely broken to which we were told "not sure when another one will come in will call you back in 24hrs." This store is horrible and any person who plans on shopping here I HIGHLY recommend you go and find another furniture store. I've never experienced such bad delays or such crazy situations of lying to the customer about when their stuff that they paid in full will be there. I will NEVER shop here again. read more

We purchased 2 sets from this store almost 4 weeks ago. They were different circumstances, both times requiring difficult and frustrating customer service issues. We bought a coffee and end table out of the clearance room in the back. A relatively good price, but could've been better. After being told we could take these two pieces with us, at checkout we were told that they could not leave the store that day. We had to wait 3 days to come back and get it when the "back room guys" were there to open the back doors. Apparently no other employees can unlock the door. My husband could've easily carried each of these items out himself, but they refused. And our sales rep that we worked with was completely clueless about this whole transaction. We also ordered a dinning room set which we were told would arrive in 2-3 weeks. In their defense, it does say on the paperwork, allow up to 8 weeks, but when that's the case they first, shouldn't say 2-3 weeks and second, need to tell you that before you purchase. At 3 weeks I called and was told that the delivery consultant would be in store tomorrow and they would call me that day. As expected, I received no call. I called today, 3 days after I was told I'd receive a call and now have been told that it will be another 10 days. I am not banking on that arrival date or phone call. We will be going elsewhere for our future furniture needs. read more

I'm gonna start off saying the employee by the name of Aaron was a dick. I went in there to look at what furniture my husband and I were gonna buy with a fairly decent budget....I was mainly looking for a coffee table and dressers because I wasn't sure if I'd like anything else, but we also need a couple of night stands, a China hutch, and a new TV console. I asked the associate, Aaron, if it was alright to take pictures because I know that some places of business DO mind, and he literally looked at me like I was dumb or insane and then said "What's the point when you can go online?" in a real condescending manner. He also got kinda more unpleasant when I didn't like any of the pieces he was fond of. So, I just politely said after he showed me a few ugly dressers and said some more just flat out rude things that I'd browse on my own. I'm incredibly picky, about colors and I have a very distinct sense of style, so although there are photos online the colors aren't always true to what they look like in real life and I also had some fabric swatches to make sure the wood would compliment the linens in the bedroom. I like to mix old and modern styles to achieve an industrial look. I wanted to check the hardware for the drawers-make sure they're not flimsy... make sure the drawers themselves opened and closed smoothly. I also like to see how sturdy everything is myself. I don't want to support any business that allows employees to talk to customers like that, and I just can't stand people who are rude/mean in general because they're not happy. So.... We purchased a bedroom set in November... Paid in full... No financing. We were promised delivery on Dec 20th.. We received it on Dec 24th... With exception to the 5 drawer chest, which they said, did not pass their quality inspection. So, they said we would get that on Jan 7th. We got it on Jan 9th and the top drawer did not match the rest of the chest... It was way too light. So they ordered a new drawer.. we got that on Jan 16th.... Same thing.... But even lighter than the first drawer. So they ordered another.. I explained that the wood needed to be darker, not lighter. On Feb 3rd the next drawer came in... Same as the last one. We now have 3 top drawer, none of which match the 5 drawer chest. I called the store and suggested they reorder the whole chest with matching drawers, but now my concern would be.. Will it match the bed, dresser and 2 night stands. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I called customer service and they pretty much ignore you. I am waiting for someone to call me back from the store.... She said she 3:30.... Now it is 4:05. Guess I'll have to keep waiting. We were doing to purchase a new couch and recliner, but now after all this, Haynes will get our business. Oh.... They also told us we would get free delivery, trusting that, I didn't go over the invoice after he gave us a total price. My mistake, but I trust anyone until I am lied to. read more

Walked in...... all salespersons went ghost or ignored us. We walked around and looked for a good 25 minutes before I spotted a salesperson who was working with another customer and I asked if there were "any other salespersons in the store?" She stated, I'll be with you after I finish this sale. She did finish quickly and we began the search for a new front room set. We chose one on sale and were asked if we wanted the insurance plan, which we replied no. She went to the front desk and came back and asked again.... we said no again. We completed the sale and put a $400.00 deposit down. WELL, of that $400.00, $200.00 was for a delivery charge, THE STORE IS AROUND THE CORNER FROM OUR HOUSE!!!! Called back the next day to cancel......we don't have any furniture yet......they say we cannot cancel!!!! (Will not) Also....we saw the exact same set at the Dump for 1/2 the price! This store sucks in every possible way!! Beware! If you leave them a deposit, you'll only get a store credit..... why would anyone want that?? We will NEVER walk into that store again! I tried to give them another chance and I was met with a whole bunch of fluff as to why they couldn't assist me in repairing furniture I had already purchased. My bedroom set is only 2 years old and is falling apart. I was going to make additional purchases if I could repair my current set but this store is a complete waste of time. Why the hell couldnt someone call before today and share this info.. then they made up due to Corona Virus it was pushed back bullshit I placed my order in store during corona. So why the hell are you open if you cant supply and demand. The push back date is damn near another month away. Please dont go there unprofessional and they tell to many lies!!!!
