This is the oldest community college in California established in 1883, serving students from Rancho Cucamonga ,Chino, Chino Hills, Upland , Montclair, Ontario, and Fontana. Oh my goodness I had difficulty walking around the campus because it was stretching across more than 13 acres on its natural terrain in the foothills of northern Rancho Cucamonga. Honestly I had to stay back for awhile cause I couldn't make it on the uphill walk from one building to the other. Students here most likely have a good amount of exercise just hiking all day.

I had to fight for weeks just to get into required classes, and even then, I ended up on a waitlist that went nowhere. Some of the courses I needed to graduate weren't even offered this semester, and when I asked counselors about it, I got vague answers like "Try again next term" or "Talk to your department." Super unhelpful. Speaking of counseling - good luck getting an appointment. I waited over a month just to talk to someone about my transfer plan, and when I finally did, they gave me incorrect information that could have delay graduation if I hadn't double-checked with another school. Also, the campus itself feels neglected. Outdated buildings, broken elevators, and poorly marked offices made it hard to find anything. Don't expect staff to go out of their way to help you either - I've had more than one employee act annoyed when I asked for help finding a classroom or service. Online classes? A joke. Half of my professors barely use Canvas properly, and some don't even respond to emails. It feels like they just dump assignments and disappear until finals. This school might be "affordable," but honestly, I'd rather pay more for a place that actually supports its students. I know community college isn't supposed to be fancy, but basic organization and communication shouldn't be too much to ask. Would not recommend unless it's your absolute last option.

First of, MRS. MILLER -OMG- She is the BEST! I mean she literally took the time, helped me and believed in me. Any question I had, she quickly responded. My Teachers MRS. G (Jessica Gonzalez) and MRS. GHADA ALFRED - the BEST!!!!! Helped me in every step of the way! Mrs G. even helps me when I have Billing questions for work. Mrs Ghada believed me in when it came to passing my NCCT test. Mrs G. was with me when I passed my NCCT test and experienced that wonderful moment with me. I am not getting paid or extra credit to write this review. I am truly grateful for Platt College and all the great people that work there including the front desk girls, Financial aid, Oh and Jonathan Serafin who is soooo awesome and helpful! Go talk to him for your job needs. Again, not getting paid, no extra credit - nothing like that! Just want to acknowledge who has helped me get to where I am today. Today - I am privately contracted with a Podiatrist Doctor as a Billing Consultant. I plan to start my own Billing company this year along with graduating with my BA with Honor Roll in March of 2023. For this reason, I went on their website to schedule a call/zoom meeting for a time that worked best for me. I waited all day for someone to reach out since I had already booked a specific time slot, nobody ever did. A month later, I decided to call back AGAIN just to be met with passive aggressiveness from one of the ladies; basically insinuating that because they attempted to reach out to me in the past, they no longer wanted to give me their time of day. I say this because I left my info with the receptionist in attempts to finally meet and I have yet to hear back from them. So overall, it's okay for them to not pick up their phones and not check zoom appointments, but the moment we do it, we're not worth their time anymore. I fear this might be the only school that lets their phones go to voicemail regularly.
