Now, as an adult learner, I'm back and completing my associate in business administration. I've always felt cozy and welcome at the campus. Parking is great, busses come all the time, there are plenty of food places to eat within walking distance. The classes are affordable if you complete your FAFSA, apply for scholarships and OFA (other Financial Aid Options) are available. Making an online appointment is easy with their student platform, and my counselor was readily available via zoom (to accommodate my work schedule) and we were able to complete my lesson plan. I think that there are plenty of support systems in place for students that want to take the time and wait for support. It's not fast-food it's school and sometimes things take a little more time to get the best results. I am totally happy with my education I'm receiving, and I only hope that students here are finding the same enjoyment I'm finding.

I enrolled for the electrician program and my first instructor Chris Fanin had no idea what he was doing. He never followed the lesson plan that was provided to him and just kept talking about how he lost his wife and daughter to a car accident. Needless to say that was incredibly uncomfortable for all of us enrolled in his class. There were times where we would ask questions about the days topic and he would just continue to talk about his wife and daughter or show us magic tricks SMH * Some of the students brought this to the attention of the higher ups but nothing was done. 3 months later we moved on to the more advanced courses taught by Sidney Singco, he was the absolute best instructor we had, but it was difficult for us because he had to teach us the lessons that the first instructor failed to teach us which made this incredibly hard. My other frustration with this school was dealing with career services. I went through 3 career service representatives and none could help me. 1 rep was moved to help a different course, the 2nd rep helped me with a rough draft resume then ended up quitting and told none of the students, the 3rd rep was incredibly immature that she kept making off hand jokes and literally lied to me that she would be able to find me leads/work. It went as far as she lied about my records claiming I had work, even saying that I owned my own business. She did all that just so she could get more funding for the school. I didn't even hear back from her for about 2 months later after I reached out. It's so incredibly strange that when you do or say something positive online about this school they completely ignore and forget about you. I graduated October of last year and have had ZERO work as an electrician. This school is a joke and a giant scam, the "leads" that they send you lead to dead end after dead end. At one point one of the leads my resume was sent to was for a window washing company, while another interview was for a building that was abandoned. Even the temp agency I was sent to was a joke. Seriously, save yourself the embarrassment and avoid this school at ALL COSTS!!!

The meet is touted as 'the world's largest cross country invitational' I hate to admit this but based on the website, I thought it was going to be a complete madhouse but it was so well organized! There is a parking fee (paid on site and in cash) and a per person spectator fee (which you can pay online or in person). My review is two fold- a spectators view and a runners view: Spectator: You're in a huge stadium, and while you can only see the jumbotron, you're basically getting a birdeye view of the race because there are drones and cameras on the course. The sports announcer gives everyone in the arena a play by play so you aren't missing a thing. Runner: My son said the course was nice- a combination of asphalt and trail running. There was plenty of merch available and it wasn't too overpriced. The t-shirts are nice quality. Overall, this is one of the most organized invitationals I've been to. Well done!

From the very beginning, she was kind, patient, and extremely helpful throughout the entire enrollment process. She took the time to clearly explain each step, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed the whole way through. What stood out most was how supportive and approachable she was. I never felt rushed or confused, and she is always quick to respond whenever I needed guidance. Ms. Gisela, along with Jasmine from the financial aid who assisted me, was very helpful and supportive throughout the process. Their professionalism and care made a big difference in my decision to move forward with the program. Additionally, I am now attending the soft skills class facilitated by Mr. Chris. He is a great lecturer who explains things clearly and makes the class easy to understand. His sessions are engaging, and he creates a good learning environment that helps students feel comfortable participating. Overall, I'm very grateful for their guidance and support. A couple of years ago the school was able to offer financial aid to their students such as me. In my years as a student here, the program has gone through some radical changes. The school has become a hybrid online and on-campus program. Many students are now distance learners and are able to be a part of the program from home through recorded classes and Zoom meetings. All of the academic classes (English, legal and medical terminology, software classes) are done online. We now have an online platform to practice on called RealTimeCoach (RTC) to perfect our skills and to log practice hours. Live English classes and a few other classes are recorded for playback for the students' benefit. I was really shocked to learn that there are other schools in the area that don't provide extensive software training like we do! Editing and preparing a transcript are a HUGE part of our career and learning these skills before graduation is essential. We have three different software classes and also receive in-person guidance when needed. Overall, I've enjoyed going to school here. There is a great sense of community and everyone here looks out for each other. We have had great real-life experience from our new program director, Shannon. She has been extremely open to providing anything that the students have needed in order to succeed. The program continues to flourish and implement positive changes every semester. I am nearing the end of my time here at Tri-Community and I am happy I picked this program.
