Miguel was great today. He delivered a huge load of lumber to my property and i was supposed to be there to unload it with two guys but i was late. Miguel was able to drop the load in my yard without my help and was very helpful!

I'd go back to Ashby Limber any day simply because of the service and knowledge of the employees there. We had our deck done and were indecisive on the type of wood we wanted to use so we were able to take some samples home. Ordering was a smooth process and there was transparency into what was out of stock, back ordered or available and ready to be picked up. We are so happy with our purchase! Thank you Ashby Lumber!

1951 window encasement male and female connectors for the handle were stripped. $22 for replacement encasements per window.

These guys have a fantastic customer service and a huge selection of products you'd normally found in a large hardware store!

And in the many years since they arrived at this location I have continued in my admiration. friendly, knowledgable long-term staff in multiple departments who don't make you feel stupid when you ask any questions. I especially appreciate: - typical hardware store supplies in the basement - lovely kitchen department with everything from the cute to the functional (often overlapping categories - they select well!) - garden/ houseplant supplies department - painting section - storage/organization - can message them about anything, including what their options are for an item, and they respond quickly (on their website go to "contact us" and you can start a text conversation) - you don't need to join some silly customer club for discounts, but their keychain card is how I got back my wallet once! (they helped with this!) - they have deals and coupons frequently, discounts for teachers, students, and I don't know which other categories Limitations: - key cutting isn't great. I say this as someone who's been getting copies of keys here for well over a decade. - no, it's not a large hardware store or a big box store, so hardware selection can be limited, but. . . - houseplants aren't in great shape NOTE: they can order most anything for you! even if they dont' normally carry it - I love this service. Also you can message them about any supplies and they'll get back to you, including about what's in stock at that very moment.

The future here is unclear, as the local town wants nothing but more housing, and this site is in the crosshairs for "redevelopment". But for now they're open and a good place to go. He led me out to the one row I hadn't looked at, at the front on the register side. There was the Brasscraft replacement for the cruddy junk-metal bonnet nut that Delta inexplicably put in their otherwise OK bathroom faucets. Happy happy joy joy! True Value lists this BrassCraft part on-line, same $5.99 as on-line with 1 week shipping. Clearly marked with the Delta RP6060 number. BrassCraft's part is thicker and heavier duty than the junk-metal original, and fits a 27mm socket vs 15/16 or 31/32 inch tools. But also does fit the presumably inch dimension threads under the handle.. Old, old, school, as someone posted, not a lot of power tools, lumber or plants. Yep. I don't go to hardware stores for power tools, or lumber, I go for hardware, and hardware is what they're all about. ALL the sizes of copper pipe, brass pipe, galvanized steel pipe, black-oxide pipe, ABS and PVC pipe, flexible pipe, pipe fittings, adapters, screws, nuts, bolts, nails, specialty nails, good cleaner and polish selection, real electrical / other workshop, brackets, ducts. In a word, hardwared..

I came into the store looking for a part for my portable washer and dryer, and I was assisted by Seth and Jose in the Plumbing Department. Both of them went above and beyond to help me. They took their time to research the issue, listened carefully to what I needed, and worked with me to find the best possible solution. I never felt rushed, and they were patient, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the entire interaction. Their knowledge, teamwork, and willingness to go the extra mile made a stressful situation much easier for me. It's not every day you receive that level of care and attention, and I truly appreciate the effort they put in. I wanted to make sure their outstanding service is recognized. They are a great representation of your store and of excellent customer care. Thank you for having such dedicated employees. Sincerely, Cj

Wow. First of all their machine mismixed my Behr paint (instead of being sage green it was key…read morelime green) but I didn't know this and the contractors painted the room. HD then refused to exchange it, despite all their signs of "color guaranteed!" in the department. Had to bring in a manager and it was a big ordeal to make an exchange. Then I rented a spot/carpet cleaner yesterday, and once we got it home after dinner found it didn't work. The 2 hour window for return had passed (we were never informed about that) but my husband drove ALL the way back and it was also a huge ordeal to cancel the contract, get a partial refund, and order a new one. Which we had to pay more for, and there were no concessions for THEIR "inspection card/device is functional" error. Found out that I had "declined" the protection plan, and if declined, the associate is supposed to test the device right there for us - she didn't (the careless girl, most of them are) didn't tell me about it, nor test the device. She was checked out. So we had to waste 1.5 hours of a tired evening because of even more incompetence, and Home Depot corporate blocks on what the employees are capable of taking care of vs. customer care.

I used to visit to find that hidden gem or get inspired to transform a piece of unwanted item into a functional item like a planter or garden art. This place is great for a DIYer or handy man as items have so much potential but can be a bit overwhelming if you're looking for something specific. My recent visit was to find a replacement window for a mini table-top greenhouse I put together about 15 years ago. Unfortunately, after a recent windstorm, 1 window broke and needed to be replaced. The original windows I bought were from a salvage/building resource spot in SF. At the time, buying 6 windows cost me $70 at most. Now (15 years later) for the same quality it will cost you $35-$60/window at Urban Ore. Ouch! I guess these windows may be used for a remodel of an older home. They do have another section for cheaper windows but sadly they look like the one I'm trying to replace...some wood rot, flimsy, peeling and weathered as they're not protected from the elements. Staff outside are friendly and helpful. Worth a stop to check out but some pricing on items a bit higher. Parking inside the gate and along the street.

I went to the front and offered to take the CDs they were sending to the landfill. I stated I had boxes with me - the staff seemed amenable however when the manage Claudio was asked he overruled them and stated "no" - the CDs are now on the landfill - I have a machine to resurface discs, a press to flatten creased artwork and thousands of cases - however a company who's catch phrase is "zero waste" dumped" thousands of perfectly salvageable items. I contacted Urban Ore via email, via messaging and tagged them in social media as well as posting on their own FB page - no response. People donate items to Urban Ore thinking they think they are keeping them out of the landfill - the behavior of Claudio shows that this is a lie and Urban Ore appears to be a scam.
