I have been going to this barber for over 7 years. I love the atmosphere there and they make it very welcoming especially when you first walk in. They all say hello!! I first started going there about 7 years ago and saw Shin. He was very good but moved on and I ended up moving to Alexandria. While living in alexandria I loved the place so much I would travel from there weekly because I loved this place so much. I switch barbers when Shin left and now see Thomas and he is probably the best barber I have ever used. I come once a week and won't go anywhere else. I have known Kathy for almost 4 years. She is the best hairdresser in my opinion. She greets you with a warm welcome, asks you what kind of haircut you want and does the haircut exactly how you requested. She is very talkative, builds a good rapport with customer. While doing haircut, she never rushes like many other hairdressers... I have seen few where if there are lot of customers in the saloon, some hairdressers they just rush it and mess up your haircut...But, Kathy is not like that and she gives utmost attention and does the haircut with care. I have never been to a barber shop before, because I usually go to a salon. I decided to go to a barber because salons are usually more pricy then barber shops. My friends recommended me this place and Mr. Shin, and may I say I had the BEST expierence of my life. I was very satisfied with my haircut. Scary employee ( short hair, last bay in the shop ) who yell at your 10 year old child and then dash out to smoke just because you asked her not to cut too much. Good luck to people who still choose to go there. Had to call cops to calm her down. And then one employee came running asking me if I was a middle eastern, she said that's what the store management thought, as I looked like one !! Pretty interesting crew ! I am not middle eastern though, but this shop should be reported to bbb for being racist and extremely obnoxious place to bring your kids to. My kids were in trauma for couple days. read more

I have been getting my haircut there for the past 26 years. In that time, I have had a few "go to" barbers who I would elect to wait for because their particular service was so good. This past year, though, I am completely committed to Bonnie. Bonnie is very personable so it is always an enjoyable time in the chair. More importantly, she is extremely thorough and provides that extra attention to detail that separates a good haircut from a great one. I now adjust my schedule to make sure I go when she is working. Great service! No waiting. I walked right in and was taken immediately. It was busy in there, but my cut was done exactly how I wanted it. She even took the time to ask questions and went over difficult hairs from several angles to be sure she got them all! I didn't expect warm shaving cream or a hot towel, but I got both. And all for $15 plus a tip! I wasn't sure where to go having recently moved to the Sterling area. But after reading a few reviews here, I gave them a chance. I'm glad I did! Very satisfied! Does anyone have any idea where Mehmet went? He is an awesome Barber from Turkey I've used for 15 years at the Family Hair Design in Sterling. I was told he went to a Barber Shop in Ashburn and cannot find him anywhere. Coming this place for around 3 years, so far so good. Been tried all barbers, mostly David and Anny. Other barbers had cut my hair when they are busy, don't want to wait. All of them are not bad at all, taking good amount of time to work on details. Last couple of times, Kristine cuts my hair, she is awesome, best barber I ever met. She is worth waiting for. Because I know how my hair is tricky(thin & weak strength, so stressful), I didn't really have any expectation. However Jinny covered all the weak points.
