I am thrilled to have done business with Ash Tree service to cut down my two 100 foot tall Douglas fir trees which were just a few feet from my front porch. Devon came out within two days and was very personable and informative. His bid was very reasonable compared to the other arborists I called. The two climbers, Luke and Quinn were so careful in bringing those trees down and not destroying any shrubs or trees that were right below them. I was told by another company that I would definitely need a crane and a street flagging crew to do the job and to dig up any shrubs and trees I didn't want to lose. We hired Ash Tree Enterprises to do some pruning on a cherry tree that, because of its location, we were not able to access ourselves. The crew arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They finished the job in a little over two hours. They did a great job of cleaning up the prunings, including those that fell into our neighbor's yard. First off I'd like to say that I was a van of Ash Tree, having used them in the past. Ash Tree was purchased by a family and it's not the same. I have 3 trees that needed trimming. I was quoted $500 by Andrea. They trimmed these in the past, nothing new. Devon came out reviewed the trees and we agreed to $600 and shook on it. Before Devon came out Andrea agreed it would not exceed $500 even after Devon's review, but I did agree to $600. When I received the digital quote it was $700, no explanation. I sent an email to them saying basically what I am saying here. That was a few weeks ago. They have not replied to my email. They removed a tree before all this and performed stump grinding, and there are pieces of tree all over the area where it was removed. I have to clean that up. Not a pleasant experience. read more

Not only did Ash Tree provide a quote the fastest out of 3 separate tree removal companies, but they also were about 1/2 the price of the other two. Find another company to cut your trees. They low balled the bid then double it mid job. The person who came out to do the quote discussed extensively saving the bamboo then sent his quote out, lower than any other company. I am supposed to pay for their screw up of under bidding the job and that they had a loss due to poor bid. The workers were great and I feel bad for them, working for a company that is not honest and over charges customers. I hope they find a better tree company or open their own business. They need to hire a person who understands trees and does an accurate bid. No invoice was offered just pay this amount. They also changed the daily charge from what was on the quote. They are not good business operators. I do not recommend this company and will never use them again. They are not BBB accredited which makes sense because they would actually have to be honest. read more
