Peter and his team was great. They got us a quote within a day, and worked with our budget. They started the job within the week. He took out about 20 trees on my property in SW Portland, and chipped the debris and hauled the big stuff. He can sub out stump grinding, or do it himself. No job is too small or too large. He recently started his company, but his service and attitude is excellent and we will be using him time and time again. He has been in the industry a long time though. He is Licensed, bonded and insured.

SO much respect for these guys. Thought for sure they would cancel with the smoke but here they are busting their ass. I will never complain about how much it cost to take down a tree again. They earn every freaking penny. Such hard work, risk and skill! Seriously amazed. Thanks dudes!

From reading the reviews on Peters tree service it looks like mine will be one of a few less than 5 stars. I am giving 3 stars because: 1. Peters tree service seems to be a good company however small. 2. The price was fair 3. Peter said that the estimator is no longer with them an he bid it too low. This was after the crew was on site, and all left. 4. However Peter and his office accepted the price and we had a contract to cut down 2 large pine trees. 5. The crew showed up 3 from Peters tree srv. and 2 sub contracted climbers. 6. From the very moment the sub arrived he started shaking his head an complaining that Peter bid too low, however I never told him the quoted price. He is a sub (duh) 7. I told the sub contacted tree climber that Peter hired him and what difference did it make what Peter bid since the sub gets paid regardless of the quoted price. He could not understand and left the job, therefore Peters crew left also. Leaving me the customer in a lurch. This is not a way to do business and all it causes is a bad review. Please if you are having a large tree taken down and Peter uses a sub contracted Climber be aware. I would hope Peter will not use this sub Contractor again. Bad customer relations. I don't hold anything against Peter, but he is responsible for his subs.

Royal, the fearless tree climber. I hope he's paid well!

Excellent service. Came on time and did more than what was promised. All for a reasonable price. Could not have asked for more

We discussed the possible issues regarding city tree removal permitting, site specific challenges etc. and received a quote of $2700 to remove the tree and grind the stump. I filled out and returned the permit application and waited for city approval. Approx. 6 weeks later I got a call from Evergreen and was told the city denied my permit for a few reasons but that they would allow a structural pruning and gave me a quote for two trees witch was almost as much as the one tree removal. I went ahead and approved the work and gave a deposit. Later I sent an email to the city arborist asking for clarity on why the permit was denied and was told their office had no record of the denial yet. I was a bit annoyed that Evergreen made it sound like the denial was a done deal and scheduled the pruning before any official denial was recorded or given to me directly by the city. I would have waited until it was officially denied in writing before proceeding. If there was any chance that the permit had been approved I likely would have had to eat the pruning cost for the one tree AND paid the removal cost later.

They basically lied to me and talked me into a structural prune instead. The city did NOT deny my permit at that time but instead requested additional info from Evergreen which was never received . As of now the permit has expired. My guess is Evergreen did not want to take the time to satisfy the city request at the bid price and just wanted to move on. The whole purpose of wanting the tree removed was to facilitate a sidewalk repair so I have spent $2100 on pruning 2 trees and still have a busted sidewalk to deal with somehow. Thanks.
