While we didn't use this service ourselves, we wish we had. Sadly, we took a family member up on their offer to do our trees solely because of the savings but you get what you pay for! We regret our choice. I had responded to a craigslist post for Green Planet and was surprised by the prompt response I received from the owner's partner, asst, Ana. Her email was well written, professional and she asked us if we had pictures to text to Mark for an estimate. We don't text so we emailed pics which Ana promised she would forward and get an estimate to use within a set time frame. She did as promised Our neighbors ended up hiring Green Planet and the owner, Mark did the work himself and we watched him work. Our neighbors were pleased and said he, Mark was on time, efficient and professional. He not only did trimming but cleaned their gutters too. My 2 large birch trees in my front yard were not looking good and I had a couple good size branches break off on a windy day. Called Green Planet and talked to Mark on a Monday. He came over that afternoon and told me my trees had a disease/beetles and gave me a quote to remove both and grind down the stumps which was the best one out of 4 I had received. I hired him right on the spot. That Wednesday him and his crew came and removed both trees and did and awesome job! I referred his name to a couple people at my office whom stated they were possibly needing some trees trimmed, etc... Mark was so pleasant to work with and he answered all my questions I had. We just love this company! We had a need for reasonably priced stump grinding (12-18 inches below the surface and roots chased) for a giant stump that was placed right next to the street and also right up against our driveway. It was also surrounded by underground power lines and utilities which required someone with proven skill and care. Mark at Green Planet Tree Care was that man and did an incredible job. He answered the phone himself when I called to inquire, he came out the same day to give a bid, and was even able to fit us in the following day to do the work! He arrived right on time, uses top of the line equipment and had the job done exactly as I wanted in no time flat! Clean up was wonderfully done too! So excited to use this company again! Mark and his crew did an amazing job trimming my huge overgrown trees. They look fantastic! He offered a great service with a much more reasonable cost compared to other tree service bids I had received. He not only took care of my trees, but offered to hull away a dead tree that had fallen over in my yard. Mark was professional, curtious, and very informative. He offered me much information about the health of my trees, how to care for them, and what to look for in order to assure there continued health. Just had a wonderful experience with Green Planet Tree Care. The largest part of the job was a sickly incense cedar that needed evaluation for treatment or removal. Mark showed me a bug infestation which would ultimately take the tree which had been dying slowly from the ground up. Decided to remove the tree. Also had 2 fruit trees properly pruned, 2 giant shrubs thinned and a large tall flowering pear pruned so as not to interfere with a street light and a pine tree pruned away from my roof. The price was more than reasonable and his crew was outstanding. Total cleanup after the job. I can't recommend Mark and Green Planet enough. Will have them grind the stump and assist in planting a new tree later on. Totally confident that Mark knows trees. read more

After reading other negative reviews by Chris, it seems that yelp is being used as a tool against companies if Chris has a negative experience not service related. The incident at Winco, parents should accompany their children when sampling to ensure that the food product is not one that the child may have an allergy to. The credit union; Chris, it's a credit union, not a bank and is member owned via shares - it functions differently than a bank. I'd be curious to hear Green Planet's side of the incident that Chris claims to have experienced - it may have been that Chris was at fault? I've experienced first-hand the service provided and found it to be professional and the experience shone through. read more

Mark and Green Planet Tree Care is the only company I use for tree work. Been using him for 10 years after dealing with others that were difficult to work with or didn't have reasonable prices. As most people in the area know, there are times when weather makes a mess of things and nobody is available because there is just too many customers. Be patient and wait for Green Planet to find an opening in their schedule. Some people might complain about the equipment making too much noise or too much dust, but I can't see any complaints regarding his work. He has a great crew and his work ethic is second to none. This company is busy because they are in demand. You won't regret hiring Mark - I never have. read more

Green Planet Tree Service proved to be extremely skilled at removing my 5 Poplar trees! The owner, Mark Mangold and his crew were very courteous and professional. I have been stressed about these trees for years because they are dangerous to cut down due to their likelihood for splintering and being unpredictable during removal. I was never able to find a company I could trust and also afford to take these trees down until now. I AM POPLAR FREE AND STRESS FREE! I highly recommend Green Planet Tree Care, Mark and his crew did a job for me a few days ago, removed two very large tree's. One Black Walnut and a Cherry tree, They were here when they said they would, did an awesome job ! and with his top notch equipment was able to drop both tree's without having the power company come out and unhook my lines, that others said had to be done. I hired Green Planet Tree Care last week to cut down 3 trees (2 big cottonwoods and a giant magnolia) as well as prune and care for an additional 4 giant fir trees. They showed up when he said he would to give me a bid, which turned out to be cheaper than the other bids I got, and then showed up on the day they said they would, on time and ready to start. Their whole process took less than 5 hours which included chipping up all the limbs and cleaning up the whole work site. Very happy with how this turned out. read more
