Mark gave us a very fair price for the amount of work. The crew was fast. We had a 50 foot tall Doug Fir, a apple tree, and a smaller tree removed as well as an giant oak limbed up and a pear cut back. We thought it would take a day or longer, but they were done in 4 hours! We asked for the fir wood to be cut into firewood rounds and the size of the rounds was perfect for people to come by and haul away. They cleaned up the area so well that if it weren't for the firewood you wouldn't know we'd had any work done. read more

you can tell the quality of a person in a crisis- this being the ice storm in Jan. Mark was a jerk. He overcharged, didn't complete trimming the trees he contracted for and was so afraid that he wouldn't get paid, that he bothered me the whole time about his money. I wouldn't use him again, don't know why I called him, wish I hadn't. For $4000 cutting 2 trees partially off the house but leaving EVERYTHING, he could have spent a little more time finishing. $2000/hr. not enough? read more

My sister & her husband hired them - since our neighbor were currently using their services. The owner gave a reasonable estimate on the price to cut a HUGE tree in the front of their home & was able to fit them in within 2 days. It was a Wednesday when they were doing the neighbors trees & by Friday evening her tree was gone. They showed up on time & finished the same day. Cleaned up after themselves, hard workers especially with the temperature being in the high 90s this past week or so. These men are definitely hard workers and did an Unbelievable job. Even her mom & step dad got their tree cut & also got their other trees trimmed within days after servicing her place. Great communication & service These guys are 5 STARS across the board. read more

After the ice storm, we called to see if Mark could schedule a time to check the health of our fir trees. He came by within 20 minutes! Mark pointed out some areas we should keep an eye on but didn't try to pressure us into any unnecessary work. Highly recommend this company! read more

Mark Mangold, Green Planet Tree Care, LLC, inspected our project, gave us a firm bid, and showed up to complete the work. Mark and his crew arrived on time, did a professional job, had good equipment, and completed the tree removal work within the agreed-upon time and on budget. Mark Mangold has cared for our trees for the last 10+ years. His excellent service, knowledgeable advice and reasonable rates have always provided us with great advice. We really appreciate him and the work he does for us. Give him a call at 503.523.7773. read more

Mark and his crew turned up on time, work was on budget, and they completed everything in a day as promised. His equipment is quality and large scale and means they can cover more ground than many others. Not to mention everyone on the 4 man crew was respectful and clean up was immaculate. read more

Just had a wonderful experience with Green Planet Tree Care. The largest part of the job was a sickly incense cedar that needed evaluation for treatment or removal. Mark showed me a bug infestation which would ultimately take the tree which had been dying slowly from the ground up. Decided to remove the tree. Also had 2 fruit trees properly pruned, 2 giant shrubs thinned and a large tall flowering pear pruned so as not to interfere with a street light and a pine tree pruned away from my roof. The price was more than reasonable and his crew was outstanding. Total cleanup after the job. I can't recommend Mark and Green Planet enough. Will have them grind the stump and assist in planting a new tree later on. Totally confident that Mark knows trees. read more

We had two elderly birch trees (~60 years old) that we wanted to keep, but we'd had dangerous limb breakage last winter, which barely missed our house (and our neighbors'). Mark came (when he said he would), and looked at them and recommended that they come out. Today he brought his (fancy British) equipment and his cthree-man crew, and they took the trees out in two hours. A clean job, and they left the rounds stacked for us as firewood. Nice people, a great job... and our house is so much lighter! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Great price, quality work and professional owner. Mark is committed to quality service and safe work. Highly recommend. read more

Can not say enough about the team that came to trim two of my trees. They were efficient, thoughtful, and worked with me and cleaned up!

Fast and efficient crew! Fair pricing and very professional. Would definitely use again and recommend to others!

This is one of the best businesses I have ever used for our outside maintenance and we have lived here in Beaverton for 35 years. Mark and his team trimmed a difficult and high 100 foot long Laurel Hedge, took down a Birch Tree, and ground the stump all in under 4 hours. Mark has the best equipment, answers his phone, and does high quality work. We will use his company in the future to keep our trees and hedges trimmed and looking healthy. I highly recommend Green Planet Tree Care. read more

Mark and his crew removed 5 cottonwoods, all within 10 feet of my home in Portland. He contacted the utility company day-of and was able to coordinate removing wires for the duration of the job. His bid was much less than the standard, and he was easy to work with and prompt. They took down 5 trees of varying sizes in under 6 hours. It was so cool to watch. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. read more

We hired Mark and his crew to cut down a large tulip tree and to thin out a large sycamore which were both close to our house. He and his crew were very personable and professional. The job was done efficiently and with careful attention and the work was executed in a safe manner for both our property, the next door neighbors, and the crew. It was an amazing process to watch and they all worked together as a well oiled machine. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or refer them to someone else. read more

Mark and his Green Planet Tree Care team are AMAZING! They opened up our Beaverton back yard to the magnificent woodscape it was meant to be! Got rid of scraggly little trees, along with a couple of 120-foot Douglas Firs. We couldn't believe how easy they made it look - artists in the air wielding a chain saw 120 feet above the ground, and hefting 6-foot logs up a slope to the haul-away trailer. We looked on in disbelief at the strength and agility of the team, and at the masterful cuts and tree falls in every single case. Then, after all the big and small stuff was chipped and hauled away, they came back to grind out stumps and do a final clean up. Impressed is an understatement. And, they were among three bidders, with very reasonable pricing. You can't go wrong for tree removal with Green Planet Tree Care! read more

Mark the owner is GREAT. Awesome pricing, and super professional. They took down two large trees(and tilled the stumps) in our front yard. They left our yard, sidewalk and street super clean. I love supporting local small companies, and these guys are impressive!!! read more

My advice to the proprietor of this business, do not say that you will do one thing then proceed to not even show up for the arranged job. The fact that I had to call Green Planet as I pulled into my driveway and ask about why they didn't show up is preposterous and very unprofessional. Once again, do not accept the job when you aren't even able to fit the arrangement in to your schedule. read more

I know this is a long review, but it's all to say that I was "ghosted" and strung along for far too long to get nothing done. On 3/28 I submitted a web form requesting to get a stump removed and an estimate on cleaning up the trees in our back yard. Mark came out the same day and gave me a quote and said he could fit in the stump removal in the next two weeks. Great, I had some other estimates scheduled and I told him I would let him know. He ended up being the best price so I emailed him on 4/2 and he confirmed he would fit us in in the next two weeks. And then nothing. Over the next two weeks I emailed him him twice and had no response. I emailed him on 4/26 and told him that if I didn't hear from him we'd get someone else. He responded with an apology and that they would get us in soon. 4/29 He leaves me a voicemail that he has the stump grinder out and can come to our house next. With less than an hour notice I just couldn't accommodate the timing. Finally, I emailed him 5/1 told him again that if I didn't hear from him we'd get someone else. I heard nothing back until yesterday, 5/7. By that point I had already called someone else who scheduled a date and time to do the work. read more

Mark and his crew came out to our home the same day we called him. Very nice company, they cleaned up two trees and hauled the trimmings Away, very nice people and a lot of equipment. Very happy read more

Greatly appreciate the service - removal of the tree in Quick fashion & left no mess. Mark & his team are incredibly thorough & careful

I was referred to Mark by my brother-in-law who used him to remove some trees at his office after his bid came in almost 50% lower than the other bids. He was very impressed with him so I called Mark. He came out the next day, and sure enough, his quote was about half of what I had been told by others. He called a couple of days before our scheduled work appointment to say that he had a last minute cancelation and could he come over right now. He was there in a matter of minutes and did an amazing job. His crew was courteous and careful not to damage any plants that were beneath the trees that were coming down. They were professional and efficient and did a great job on clean-up afterwards. All in all, I couldn't have been more impressed from start to finish. I am not waiting for people to ask me if I know of an arborist...I am asking people if they need a tree guy! They are that good and I will use them every time I need any tree work done. Great job, guys! read more

Mark and his crew arrived on time, were quick, courteous and efficient. Mark's bid was much below others. Other estimates judged the job would take all day.
