They were very prompt in responding to my inquiry of an estimate. In deciding to go with them, Gordon and his crew were outstanding and amazing in their removal of the trees without any fence or deck damage. And, all in one day! Their clean up of all the debris was impeccable, including replacing heavy yard items I had not been able to move out of their way initially. My neighbors even complimented their courtesy, professionalism, and care as they had to clean up a bit of lighter debris that had fallen into their yard. Oh, and they were significantly less in their estimate and final cost than any other company I received estimates from. I highly recommend them for anyone looking at tree removal, and if I ever have a tree issue again I will certainly call upon them.

He and his crew took down a very large Douglas Fir that was dangerously close to our home. It was an enormous tree, but his crew had the knowledge to safely remove it without damaging property, and they were the only company willing to do it without a crane (which likely would have ruined our driveway at great expense to us). The crew cleaned up entirely every day and took extra care to protect our roof, siding, fence and lawn. I've had other trees removed and trimmed by other companies and their responsiveness, professionalism, safety and cleanliness of the job site didn't come close to PDX Tree Service. I've already personally recommended Josiah to several of my neighbors who were happy with their services as well. We had a total 3 quotes, all from reputable companies. Interestingly, all the quotes were in the same ballpark. We chose to go with Jamal and his crew because Jamal said he would be onsite for the actual work and he would ensure that what we discussed was done. This was important because if you have an estimator that isn't onsite for the actual work, sometimes, what is promised and what is completed may not be the same. Jamal gave us a detailed quote and when he and his crew showed up for the work, Jamal definitely remembered all the details that we talked about. We also had the chance to interact and talk to the crew. Everyone was incredibly pleasant and friendly. They were all easygoing with us and with each other. After checking with the neighbors to make sure they were ok with any trimming (not needed but I thought it was the polite thing to do) I did what anyone else would do and looked at Yelp reviews and chose two highly rated companies. Maybe a third quote would have been better but I am satisfied with the results. I had a representative of the first company I chose show up and he looked everything over, got information, and took that information back with him. Meanwhile I called Jamal at Treetime and he came out the next business day or so and gave me a quote instantly. After another day or two the first company emailed me their quote and it was nearly double Jamal's. Either company would probably have done fine. They both have stellar reviews. I am happy I chose Treetime. They were done in less than two hours, which is what Jamal thought it would take.
