We were looking to get my child started with therapy here because it's closer to home. However, the woman who called me was extremely condescending and passive aggressive. she had zero knowledge of insurance policies and billing. She was unable to answer any questions to clarify. When I asked to speak to to someone else or have her email her explanation - by the way she was quoting me almost $900 a week for a one hour session AFTER INSURANCE - she told me she didn't like my tone and hung up on me. I immediately reached out to my child's pediatrician and was informed her quote was insanely high - and they've had complaints about this location's staff before. We have asked to be moved away from the Ascension Seton/ Dell fanily as this is not the first time we've been misquoted. I recommend going somewhere that treats you like a person, not a number - like Texas Children's Hospital. read more

This is a review specifically for the pre-op nursing staff. When I first arrived they were very nice, got me settled and my iv started. Then I had to wait a little bit and fell asleep. You see, I snore quite loud. And while I am aware of the fact, I don't see how I can NOT snore. It doesn't affect my quality of rest so it is just something I and mostly my partner have to deal with. And I guess the ugly comments from behind the next curtain that the nurses were making with the other patients. I suggest you train your staff to behave like adults instead of 12 year olds in middle school, because they are obviously struggling with this. I had to listen to the lady next to me go on and on about her extensive surgical history and you didn't hear me making any ugly comments. Bottom line, anyone can say things behind the curtain, that's juvenile b.s., grow up and either come talk to a person or just keep your mouth shut and live up to the professional post to which you have been assigned. My experience with Dr. Craig Robinson and staff was excellent. On 12/5/2024, I had an anterior full hip replacement and couldn't be more pleased with the care I received (and the outcome). Dr. Robinson is kind, caring and knowledgeable and did an excellent job. Nurse Amy patiently answered all my questions as well. The care I received at Ascension Seton Hospital in Burnet, post-op (overnight) was also top notch, too. I highly recommend Dr. Robinson and Ascension Seton Highland Lakes. read more

I visited this ER this evening after I had developed an awful rash that was spreading and the way they treated me right off the bat was inexcusable. They were judgmental right off the bat assuming that my rash was due to drug use ! The person who gave me more attention was the lady just gathering the bill from administration. They wanted me out of there due to my lack of insurance . The dr was in there maybe 90 seconds and just did a typical antibiotic and "calamine" lotion. I could have just went to CVS, I mean COME ON! He was unable to give me any diagnosis or explanation as to why this is happening. I asked for a steroid cream and the nurse told me to buy hydrocortisone lol. Thanks but don't you think I've tried that. I asked what was the best way for it to heal (keeping it wrapped up or air) HE COULDNT ANSWER ME. They literally didn't want to treat me. I was in that room for maybe 10!minute. l am very disappointed that medical professionals looked at my very old records and made assumptions (after years of sobriety) . poor hospital poor staff -left with zero explanation read more

Office visit-was very nice & good care. First visit with new doctor today and was really pleased with how well he treated me.

That this facility sends harassing texts about payment on a bill that hasn't been sent yet is not very professional, but to continue to send harassing texts about receiving payment when they have already cashed the check should be addressed. The care my husband received in the ER was subpar at best. We ended up at Baylor Scott and White and finally received the care needed to keep him from losing his finger to infection. The bill was paid before the due date and I doubt we will ever go back. read more

I had to visit the ER twice this weekend and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Both times I was seen very quickly and they were very informative. I'm so lucky this is the closest place to me because I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. read more

This place really isn't good . My son been hear about his heel , they said it was a sticker and it was a bone infection.. I've came here once an they said I sprained my knee but actually fractured fibula and tibia. I'm in here again and know I fractured my leg once again and have be released with out any referrals for a specialist or MRI ... this place is absolutely not a safe space for you or your family . An I can't remove that one stare or I would .. edit after calling the department manager , Jennifer was able to send info over to a specialist. She was happy to help read more

I was very sick and needed iv antibiotics and breathing treatments along with a lot of other med ! The Dr that treated me in the ER and on the floor were great the nurses in the ER and on the floor along with the respiratory Dept did a great job the hospital has came along ways with communication with the patient, Thank y'all for very swift treatment to help me feel better!! read more

ICU has great nurses and aides, but the ICU Dr. was impersonal and harshly blunt. He had HORRID looking tattoos (on display) all over his arms and wore short sleeve white shirt. (The admin should make ALL with tattoos wear some kind of white long sleeves under uniforms to cover them up!) Plus, the inept Seton Round Rock hospital ICU the Dr. transferred patient to was HORRIBLE! Never let anyone transfer your loved one there! (it was a "politically inhouse" seton transfer- definitely NOT the best choice for the soon deceased patient!) read more

I've made two visits to Seton Highland Lakes in the four years I've lived here and they were as opposite as you can get. The first one was the ER. While watching TV at home around 10 p.m. I became weak, dizzy and slightly disoriented. It was a new thing for me and I was scared. I called my daughter and she took me to the ER. They were appropriately friendly - pleasant, but business-like. Reassuring. They discovered that my potassium was quite low, causing my problem. It was quickly corrected with four very large potassium pills. The second visit was the imaging center for a stress test. Just briefly, here are the pros of the bad experience: the cafeteria is excellent. Here are the cons: The imaging center is overcrowded and freezing. The waiting room was windowless and small. I was not given any info explaining what was going to happen. When I asked what the chemical stress test was like, I was told it takes three hours and that some people get sick and vomit. The people administering the test told me at least five times they were very busy. All in all, I found it to be unprofessional, sloppy and unfriendly. There are lots of other imaging centers in the area if you don't mind driving that are far superior. read more

On 11/24/2019 my daughter was in the SHL ER .Dr Nguyen who's the one who took care of my daughter.Dr Nguyen is a great Doctor.She is very KIND and SWEET . She takes time to explain the case of my daughter very clearly.Also , she take an extra step to help my daughter case. I really appreciate what Dr Nguyen have done to my daughter. read more

Torn about how to rate this hospital. Recently had to use the ER here. The doctor and nurses were wonderful. Seemed very knowledgeable and caring. They were gentle and compassionate. Had this been our only contact with the ER, this would be a 5-star rating. It was great to see a smaller town hospital that still seemed up-to-date in terms of procedures and equipment. And the kindness of those who treated my family member made an incredible difference to us when we needed it. However, the woman at the front desk checking people in was extremely rude and curt. When someone comes into the ER with an emergency, they're scared. So it is imperative that the staff that checks the patient in (and their family) be treated with kindness and gentleness. This woman had neither. Not only that, but she went far beyond that into outright nastiness to my family. I don't know if she was having a particularly bad night (or bad existence in general), but someone like that does NOT need to be greeting the public - anywhere. And ESPECIALLY not in an Emergency Room setting. Of all places, this is where you should have someone who's calming and gracious. The rating based on the experience with her would be lower than a 1. So I've compromised and entered a 3. If this hospital wants to get good ratings, someone needs to have a serious talk with this woman and get her attitude changed PRONTO. This one person - the one that represents the hospital's ER as the initial person that the patient comes into contact with - is seriously affecting the wonderful nature of the staff behind the wall that's caring for the injured/sick patient. read more

Ascension Seton Highland Lakes is a broken organization that appears to place profits over patient care. I was called by a billing representative the day before my exam that was scheduled several days before. I was told they would not see me in their Radiology (imaging) Department unless I prepaid at least 20% of the estimated bill. I informed them that I had been overcharged by this department (over $500) the last time I had the same tests two years ago. It took me several months and a lot of time and effort to get the overcharge corrected. I was told a supervisor would need to approve my request to pay after the insurance company billed and we knew the actual charge. I did not hear back from them that day, so I called on the morning of my appointment. I was informed they did not get an answer from the supervisor until late in the day. Of course they did not bother to call me, the patient/customer, as promised. I was then informed I must pay 25% of the estimated fee or they would have to cancel the appointment. I challenged their estimate that I knew was wrong based on what my share was two years ago. The person said she could have a supervisor reach out to me. I told her I would like to hear from the supervisor, as I continued to plead my case the line went dead. Needless to say, it's been two days and I gave not heard from a supervisor. Please stay away from this broken, unethical, profit-oriented business that has no customer service and is not concerned with patient health care. read more

The staff at this hospital were amazing. They took excellent care of my mother after hip replacement surgery. They were super attentive and truly care about their patients. read more
