Ever since I've been buying from this particular dispensary, and when I am service by William, the guy with the dirty blonde ponytail his lack of customer service baffles me. He lacks energy. I ordered online, walked right in and they had my order ready. I even added the special deal they had going on to my online order while I was there. The staff were all friendly and patient. I would go back the hour drive based on reviews I'm seeing about other places. This is the spot! Nothing presumptuous about it! Though I was a little confused by the ordering process, because with a first timer discount and having added the deal, my total ended up being different than how it looked online. I guess I can chalk that up to being my first time, but it would've saved my guy a trip to the back if I could've added the special deal to my order online. We found Ascend on our semi-annual trip to Chicago. It's very close to Midway, making it very convenient. The wait was short and the staff was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable and the dispensary is clean and well-designed. We developed a routine of heading to Ascend after we land, buy the edibles that were recommended and have some before we head over to Giordano's Pizza. By the time the pie is served, the edibles have kicked in and the pizza is even tastier! We call them "flavor enhancers" for good reason! Afterwards, we head out and drive to our Wisconsin destination! We also suggest having some an hour before Haagen-Dazs). Unbelievable! Had no information on products or pricing. He said I could only get in if I was going to buy. He then asked if I would buy. So I have been to this place three times. The first time I went here they was very friendly and let me know about their store. The only thing is they had only one flower product. Everything was sold out. I end up getting 3.5g of the flower they had and it was not good. I see why it was the only one left. The second time I went they was sold out of flower and I ended up getting some gummies and cream for my back pain. I was impressed with the products but mad they did not have any flower. The third time and final time I will ever go there was a few days ago. I was going to see if they had any flower. FINALLY they had 5 different flowers to choose from. I pick one with high THC. I was so happy. (Also got some more gummies) but when I came home and tried the flower out, I was disappointed. This flower was dry and looks like they get it from someone off the street. It did nothing for me. I tried to support this place because it's so close to my house and they are friendly, but they need to go and get a different supplier. read more

The best recreational experience. Menu is much larger than other places I've been. They're starting to limit things because of shortages which is understandable but even with that their menu is still bigger than the competition. And yes everything is "expensive" due to the tax which is out of their control but at least from my experience you'll still walk out of here with a lower bill compared to other spots. Lines go fairly fast here as well. My only complaint is that I wish they would post the rec menu online along with the medical one so people can plan ahead. I can't wait till the recreational side takes off in the coming years. This place will only get better that's for sure. read more

The staff is a hit or miss, some are nice and some don't care. The prices are just meh and the sales really aren't sales. I think the worst part is quality of items, i bought two prerolls only for both of them not to hit at all! I had to break the prerolls and put it in a bowl and even then it was difficult because they grind their weed fo dust. There was only one small issue and that was with one of the security guards, stocky heavy set older guy with glasses. Very rude and setting a bad example for this business. My experience was ok. I didn't like that they don't provide any pictures of any strains. I understand it's Chicago so showing off any flowers for display could excite possible criminals, but at least provide an idea on how the flower looks and smells.
