Star Buds is hands-down my favorite local dispensary! Their website makes placing online orders completely seamless, and the physical location is welcoming, accessible, and has plenty of free parking. From the moment you arrive, the security team and staff are warm, professional, and genuinely upbeat. Every budtender I've worked with is exceptionally knowledgeable and happy to guide you toward the right products. On top of that, their daily sales and discounts are incredible and updated frequently. You can always count on receiving high-quality, certified products every single time. Prices are very competitive and the selections are vast!! Highly recommend checking them out for both medical and recreational needs! read more

Liars. Sick of the pricing games. Do not bother. Go to Curaleaf. No BS! I'm going to the BBB next.

This was the worst experience ever day was rude. They did not greet the customers property updates. Offer me a bag, but didn't put my items in the bag. I just feel like my service is here wasn't appreciated and I didn't like the fact that that the customer service there was read more

Their website has caused a few issues when ordering but the manager Jessica ALWAYS fixes it and makes it right. She's great!

I had been a loyal customer here for quite some time and always had positive experiences. I drove all the way to Hoffman Estates to pick up a pre-order and arrived about a minute or so before closing. In the past, the staff had always been understanding when I was running late because of work. This time was completely different. A gentleman I had never seen before appeared to close early. I walked around to the other window and knocked, because I recognized an employee who told me to hold on. Instead, another employee I had never seen came to the window, shrugged her shoulders, and motioned "too bad" as if I were a child. I always treated the staff with kindness, tipped well, and appreciated their hard work, because I know what it's like to work in customer service. That made this experience especially disappointing. After being a loyal customer, I expected a little more courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this experience has convinced me not to return. Loyalty should go both ways, and I certainly didn't feel valued as a customer. There's too many places that value your business to waste your time here read more

Last night I went to buy some pre-rolls and it came out with half of the middle without cannabis today at 5:25 hours I went to compare they sold me but I wanted to show you the problem of the night before but they didn't attend to me I went to withdraw and I leave it in the review if I buy a product I want it to be of a considerable quality at least read more

It's ok. The response to Sean T's review is concerning though. It's not the customers fault for being confused about sale terms, it's on you. Not for confusion, but for misleading, and then blaming the customer for being misled. Not sure why y'all even respond to reviews lol When you go to Michigan, they give you the best deal possible, not putting rules and stipulations out the a** on every deal and making the customer bite the bullet they they didn't know was even coming. I wouldn't even say this is all on this dispensary specifically, it's more of a problem with the entire Illinois dispensary community. But y'all don't help that at all. Greed is a sin after all. I got money btw lol I spent $800 roughly last time I came here, should've been less though. read more

I just purchased this cart and it is already burnt and 10% empty. I will never come to this location ever again. This place is a constant failure. I'm gonna stick to driving out to Michigan. Saves me money and the headache. read more

The only reason I went out of my way to go to this dispo instead of regular dispo becouse I got coupons sent to my house. Not only did they not accept my coupon which is whatever but the whit woman mid twenty's with long stark brown hair was just completely rude as hell and I honestly hope she gets repercussions. Although I seriously doubt it because I saw the owner walk in right after DONT WASTE UR TIME GO TO AYR IN HOMETOWN, not saying that they have better deals just saying Atleast they don't treat u rude expecially for a first time customer who very easily could have been a regular read more

Been shopping for awhile but I noticed thing wouldn't make sense. Example, other day discount at $72 at the location I paid $101... And original price is $101. When question all give you the same response.. I got no deal. You guys are scamming. No wonder bank won't allow customers swipe. No wonder you have 3 stars. STOP STEALING. Update : Benny was extremely helped and kind and explained what happened. I been shopping for awhile and will countine. Thank you again Benny. Go ask for Benny!! read more

I had ordered something online and they were out of it when I went to the store. Alana, one of the managers took care of it and even gave me a better price. 10/10 read more

Came into Starbuds and had such a great experience! Jessica helped me out and was super knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure I got the best value for my budget. I've been going to Starbuds for awhile now and was wondering about the points system. The employees helped me make sure I did receive my points that I was able to redeem 100$ off my purchase. It was literally like Christmas. I got 30 prerolls for 30$ after redeeming my points. Also, they had such positive energy and the whole vibe was amazing. I love this place. read more

I am from Atlanta... and I travel the country. I had heard about the dispos here and wanted to get the best stuff available. I paid 20$+ a gram and was expecting it to blow my socks completely off. What I got was obviously last years harvest. It turned to dust in my fingers which means the quality had suffered sufficiently and I would have personally been ashamed to sell it. I wish I had taken a picture... it took me 2g to get any real "effect" We tried to bring it up and were asked to leave . The one positive was the girl behind the counter when we first bought it was super nice. read more

Terrible prices no good deals they are scamming us with the discounts they just want to bring people in

they're ok, need some cooler better deals to bring in more people. Service is always great I'm in and out but their selections should be separated as far as how the shake and flower go. couples times I went and thought I was getting the full nugs but I ended up with shake. read more

HORRIBLE PRICES, always scamming, got two carts for 200$ even with deals it doesn't make sense.

worst dispensary in illinois.... if you don't shop often they will send you a text asking that you comeback. and they say either %50 off your total purchase of $100 or more or it will say $25 any $50 purchas. it doesn't put limits or say must be a full priced item. it just says that if I spend $50 I will get $25 off. so I selected my $60 some odd dollar product and when I got ready to pay my $25 off ended up being $6 off because they took the product I selected and took the $25 off the highest price that item has been even though in this case that product was already %25 off. Do better I will not recommend or shop starbursts again read more

Ali was very helpful and reviewed my purchase to verify and explain what I ordered. Thank you

Black and woman owned... according to the posted info. But ohhhhhhhh how I wish this was in Florida. Customer service 10, atmosphere 10, selection 10. I ordered online and picked up. No problems, no hassle, + 15% discount for new customers. They also have a reward points, I believe, but will confirm when I go back. I definitely need to get on that. But yeah, if you're in the area,, pop in and see what's up. read more

Such a scam paid for a black Friday deal noticed it looked half empty in the jar so i scaled it on a brand new purchased scale and it was missing a whole gram called and customer service was rude said "wtf leave a email and they'll back to you"didn't give an email to contact what a waste plus the weed looks dry go buy from a plug instead!!! read more

Their concentrates are always expired, dried out, hardened and not smokable. They also exaggerate and lie about the THC% on their flower. I felt ripped off everything I shop there. I just learned it's black owned so that explains it. read more

Do not trust this dispensary, they are stealing money my bank account is negative 204.97 DO NOT USE DUTCHIE PAY! Great customer service and also open until 10pm on weekdays! The hours are more convenient than anyone in this area and the customer service is top notch. I came in knowing the type of product I needed and when the manager over heard he made a few suggestions that he personally enjoyed. I've only broken into one jar but it was a grade A recommendation. This place made my trip to Chicago! I will be a returning customer while in town. Also the security guard checking ID was super friendly and really made me feel invited when I entered. The owner of this shop has built an incredible culture and apparently they just recently opened. I would never have guessed that by my experience. I hope the open more locations so that when I'm back it's a little easier for me to get to. read more

I was a first customer at Star Buds recreational dispensary. My Technician was Melissa. She was very knowledgeable and she made some spot on recommendations. The dispensary has great hours and reading my receipt I found out they have some good discounts early in the day. The dispensary was clean and modern. There was an ATM in the lobby and they take debit cards for a surcharge. As a new customer I got 20% off cool, so I was able to score some great deals thanks to Melissa. FRAUD HAPPENING HERE! Stay away! for starters they are the only dispensary with a merchant account which is a major red flag. I've been in starbuds maybe once or twice, and everyone is always very nice. Jessica helped me for a while to find what I was looking for because I walked in not knowing what I wanted. I just don't know who else to speak being a medical patient im getting inaccurate information when I got stizzy carts i understood about the bogo I never got my medical discount I had called they said no because it's a BOGO deal I said okay then I go in July 8th I was given my medical discount was told I was suppose to receive discount regardless I went again today was given discount again then I called a manager around 7:30 now he was saying I do not get my medical discount because it's double discount so what is the accurate information I keep getting the run around this has just been horrible read more

April is the best budtender who happens to work at a recreational dispensary ever. I was treated with respect unlike the previous budtender with short hair who left me feeling like the best option was to walk out. especially when I was also bombarded with the "manager" or whoever checked me in, and also lacked compassion. this is the second time I've had to leave because of how the staff has treated me (and even with Asperger's/autism, I know good social skills when I see it) I called the store to leave a review with the staff. So though I went back in dreadfully, I then met who talked with me about cannabinoids and the benefits I received as a medical patient. She is the epitome of what the budtenders at that location should strive to be like. I was treated like a medical patient needing my medicine at the medical price. not like the previous one who practically yelled at me and then was cornered by the manager/someone else... next time I'll wait for the right bud tender. read more
