I got bids from 4 different companies, but I knew right away I'd be hiring Green Triangle. Victor knows trees and showed me three of the many Douglas Fir trees that were diseased and had to come down. He walked the property taking notes. We have an acre. He and his crew also got rid of enormous patches of blackberries and scotch broom, clearing the pasture and cleaning up the front and back yards. He had a huge job to do, left the site clean, and did excellent work. They communicated every step of the way and made sure the project was done right. After excavating the driveway and putting in the gravel, Colby came back twice to ensure that the gravel was level and there was no puddling. Fantastic! Then, when it came time to do the coloring for the patio, they took the time to make sure the weather was going to allow the color to cure. I was impressed that they took the time to do the job right, even though it meant waiting a couple weeks for the rain to subside long enough to do it. While the work completed on the day of service was to our satisfaction, the plants we had added to our yard have pretty much died since then, even after following the very few care recommendations offered by Santos (and doing much more research on our own). Our yard now looks as bad (if not worse) than it did previously. If Santos wants to be considered a landscaping company, there should have been more assistance in regards to plant selection and placement. To add insult to injury, we paid extra money for "better quality" plants (at the recommendation of Santos), and those plants look dismal (even with regular care). Bottom line: We are left feeling we paid a lot of money for a yard that looked nice for about a week. Pro Tip: If you want yard maintenance, this is probably the right company for you, but if you want a comprehensive landscaping consult, you might want to consider other companies.

The exterminator strongly advised that I dig out that overgrowth. The job was overwhelmingly huge so I called for estimates from local Kitsap Co. landscaping companies. Three companies responded - one didn't show up, another quoted the job so high that he didn't bother to send me a written estimate, and then came Jose. He was kind, upbeat, and thorough in his assessment of my expectations and offered a fair estimate for the job. He explained he had a pretty full schedule, but would do his best to provide service as quickly as possible. Sure enough, he put together a crew and found a way to get the job done within days. They did a remarkable job and went over and beyond what I had laid out as the scope of the project. Today, June 6, Jose's Landscaping came to the rescue once again. I didn't expect them to get to the job until at least mid-week, but Jose called on Monday morning and said he could take on my nightmare of a jungle by early afternoon. The same crew arrived and dug in (pun intended), providing the same excellent, over-the-top results in 88 degree weather!
