The Pacific Coast team installed what I thought was a nice looking and well built extension to my…read morepatio slab in April. There was some excessive damage to my lawn in the process and credit to Jerry for offering to make it right and following through. After following all care instructions provided, which were very few and required my own research, my family and I left town for about 6 weeks leaving the patio to continue curing to its final state. Upon our return not even 3 months later we returned to a patio with cracks throughout it. Pacific Coast Concrete has taken zero responsibility for this, calling it a natural outcome of the shrinkage of the slab but I have this new one next to a 20 year old slab that has exactly zero cracks in it. From what I have read and been told by other concrete professionals, shrinkage cracking can be normal, but is usually caused by inferior materials or preparation of the concrete itself (too wet, etc.). It is a shame that Pacific Coast Concrete will take zero responsibility over the condition of the slab they poured just 3 months ago. Now I have spent thousands of dollars on something that is already falling apart.

From the beginning to end, Pedro was an excellent communicator. He was very responsive to both text and calls. He came quickly for an estimate and then fit us into the schedule. The pressure washing job was excellent. Then the cement team came to do the resurfacing. The main part of that was beautiful, but there were some cracks at corners and seams. Pedro got a team back to do some fixes, and we were happy with the final result. It was harder to get the railing team in. Took him 3 tries with 3 different subs to get them out, so there was a couple of weeks delay. Throughout, Pedro kept me informed of what was going on. When the railing team came, they did a great job with the installation. We are very happy with the final result and highly recommend Pedro and Apple's Construction.

The brick wall had developed significant cracks zigzagging through the mortar. The replacement process was quite involved as 1 or more feet of the wall above the lintels had to be removed. When they came out one of the lintels had rusted to the point that it could be bent by hand while the other had holes. Over about 3 days they replaced them and put back the original bricks. Now I can't tell that anything was ever wrong with the wall. The new mortar is a perfect match for the original. I have recommend Brick by Brick to a couple of other neighbors.
