He didn't even bother to show up to inspect the failure, simply told me it wasn't his faul via text a week after the failure. He wastes no time expecting payment, though. I have everything documented and will provide upon request and during a video review. I'm still hoping to avoid litigation by having someone ELSE come and fix it for a reasonable rate, but my hopes aren't high. He also damaged my trim (cut into it) installing an access panel behind the shower, which I didn't make a big deal out of at the time; but after the failure of the seat, I have to warn you- you can do better. He's young and I respect the hustle but he has a LOT to learn about integrity and accountability it seems.
