I had an amazing experience with Abe's coming on Saturday for an emergency and then coming back Monday and working till almost dark to replace a septic lift pump that failed because a different contractor installed it wrong. We called to have our septic pumped, set up the appointment for 9/18. We had it prearranged that we didn't need to be home and had the check on the front door. Kenny from Abes called and left a message on my husbands phone at 5pm. He said he was on his way and if he didn't hear back he would not come to pump. Needless they didn't complete the service requested. After a second phone call today, I canceled the request. The receptionist on the other end found my story and complaint quite funny. Abe's helped us get a city connection completed on short notice, completed the water and sewer hook up quickly, did it in high heat and humidity and took care of all the permits and inspections for us. The guys that did the work were very polite and helpful. We have them pump our septic too. Sean was great to work with and answered all our questions n very helpful. So at the end of the day I come 9ver to see how it has gone and that's where it goes down hill from there. It took 2 men 2 hrs to do this work they left all the trash and parts for the pressure switch laying around down by the well they didn't have the right switch which was a standard 30/50 pressure switch so two packages and one new switch and one old switch spread through out the area. They trompeld through the house and left mud and dirt. Wrote up like it was hard to disconnect the power which was 2ft away amd had to just unplug it. Then when they reconnected they did not use a cord grip where it inters the pressure switch. This should have only been a 1 hr job. Now to the toilet the bill states that they found the part in side toilet extremely rusty and needing replaced. How ever they only changed the flush tube and bolts that mounts the toiled to the tank. They left the old float and chain and water valve that does not operate right and gets stuck do to the rusty parts. They charged $438! A 185 a hr for not top price work. On top of this I called the next day to speak with the manager and he wasn't available but was told that right there she was going to pull the work order and he will contact me one week latter and no response. The plumbers arrived on time and quickly were able to re-light the pilot on our water heater. They ran through the exact same steps I did, but must have the magic touch. Giving one star because I've had these guys come to my house for service twice without letting me know in advance. They couldn't do anything cuz the person with access to the basement doesn't get off work til 3pm (I live in a duplex apartment) so we set an appointment at a time that would work,but they never showed. I got no phone call or any info on what was going on. So made another appointment, the guy showed up but didn't do anything. He diagnosed wat needed to be done, we set another date to do a fog test but they didn't show again and never found out why. Update 12/9/2024 spoke with the office people a few days ago, promise a guy would be here Monday at 330pm. For the third time, no body showed up or called to let me know anything. This company is trash. 12/11/24 spoke with office lady about the situation, she promised to look into it. Hours later someone showed up unannounced AGAIN! No, I did not hire this company, but I need to let people know how Rude this company is! Blocked my road for over an hour, no one could get through. Someone else pulled up blocking the road too, so I go out to confront them, letting them know they have to have a permit to block any roadway, they didn't want to hear it. So I told them the police were on their way to tell them to move. They rudely walked away to the house not giving a care. The police came shortly after sat there til they moved their vehicles. Both sides of the roads were clear so they could park and people could still get thru but they didn't care. We have ambo and fire on our streets almost every week bcuz we have lots of elderly people, and this company has no compassion, for that, I do not recommend this company at all. read more

My mom lives in a condo, her kitchen sink was clogged, they came out and snaked it all the way to the street. 3 months later, clogged again they came back out and charged her the same amount to unclog it. She is a senior, has a very strict diet, never uses grease, has a drain trap in her sink so no food goes down, does not have a garbage disposal nor uses her dishwasher,yet they said it was more food and grease, would not recommend, receptionist wouldn't even look into it or a discount read more

First of all have a service call scheduled for Monday, no call no show until Wednesday. Then when they did show up the plumber did not address the problem in which we asked him to fix. The service tech and supervisor answering the phone told me I could order my own replacement parts and pay them a second time to go out there and install them. Absolutely awful service. The gal at the office was nice, she set up my first appointment, they came to the property, cleared the line that was backing up, a week later it started backing up again. I called to have them come back out, she tells me one of the service guys would call me shortly. About 10 minutes later, a guy calls, is absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE on the phone from the beginning. When I calmly explain to him what has happened, he tells me there is going to be a charge as warranty work is only done Monday through Friday and it is Sunday. Mind you, the only paperwork I ever got was an invoice and nowhere on the invoice is this detail stated. I would rather pay another company full price then use their "warranty". I manage several rentals and will be sure my business goes elsewhere. It has not been the same since the change in ownership and that's a pity. read more

Couldn't be happier with Abe's - I had called my usual plumber (Aaron's) on a backed up basement toilet and it turned out to be a main line issue, which they don't do, so they recommended I call Abe's. I called them, they were out here within an hour and fixed the issue within another hour!! Their prices are super reasonable, their customer service is superb, and they were friendly towards my silly little dogs (always a nice bonus). Plus they were awesome enough to take the time to walk me through exactly what was going on, how to avoid it happening again, and made sure to show me that the toilet (and the shower!) were working perfectly before they left. They came twice. Charged me over $500 to do absolutely nothing. A full hour charge for 5-15 minutes of work each time, including completely breaking my water heater beyond repair, forcing me to replace it with a different company. They were not interested in all at in actually helping me solve my problem. The only thing they are interested in is shrugging their shoulders and taking money. Meanwhile the company I ended up calling was much kinder, more ethical, much more competent, and willing to put in the work. I will never use this company again and will strongly advise anyone (especially my fellow homeowners in the area) against using them ever. I called and set an appointment to have a sewer line scoped. They said it would be 10-2. A four hour window. Not only were they not showing but they said they would be later maybe an hour. I have had issues with my drain backing up into my home from the city. I've had Abes out several times for the repair and was quoted $3000 for a cleanout to be installed based on the recommendation by Abes. When the technician came out to do the install, he informed me that would not fix the issue we are having and recommended a back flow preventer be installed at $4000. While I was not happy because Abes was fully intending on performing a $3000 repair job that they knew would not fix the issue, I reluctantly agreed to pay the $4000 for the issue to be resolved. This was in mid October. In December I continued to have the same water back up issues and reached back out to Abes They did send techs out two days later than promised and performed an additional cleanout. My water issues did subside temporarily but after only 2 months since they were out, I cannot see how what they charged me $4000 for could have fixed the issue. I would not be leaving a review, if it weren't for the fact I had asked multiple times and was assured 3 different times that the owner would call me with a resolution. I have yet to hear from Shaun and even waited an additional two weeks after the holidays to give him the benefit of the doubt. They came did what they were supposed to unclogged the drain, made it was clear before they left. Price was a little steep 185 but seems like that what is around. They have been to my house 3 times in 1 week. Never once did we receive a call saying they were coming. I work from home and when making the appointment I was told they would call. I also asked for them to come in the afternoon when I am off work and never once did they respect my request. I will never recommend them to anyone and I will never be using this company again. This is so unprofessional. When calling to talk to someone the girl answered the phone with just "hello". This is supposed to be a professional business but they have made it clear they are anything but. When the guys arrived I told them that they were supposed to call first, his response was putting his hand to his head and saying ring ring. That was unbelievably rude. Due to this company not listening to the requests that have been made several different times to them I was yelled at by my boss because I was in the middle of work when they arrived and I had to step away from my computer. Still have a basement leak after 6 visits and almost $1,000.00 later. They fixed other things and we had a toilet leak after they removed to clean out the drains. Replaced with a new toilet and a pipe and still have a leak. And a clogged kitchen sink. They caused more problems and never fixed the original leak. They are like a bad car mechanic. read more

Very disappointed in the service I received. I called yesterday( Wednesday ) and asked if there were any appointments available "early tomorrow " which is obviously Thursday. The receptionist said yes 9:00 in the morning and we set the appointment. Today 9:00 came and went and no technician.... my husband called and receptionist said " we don't have a record of that call and appointment". I called and the receptionist said " we have you down for Friday ". I reminded her that I asked for "tomorrow " when I called yesterday ( Wednesday) and without admitting SHE made the error she told us she'd send a technician over as soon as they were done with their current job. Hours came and went , my husband called her several times throughout the day and she just kept giving him the runaround. She never called my husband to follow up or let us know when we might expect someone to do the work . Technician never showed. My husband took a day off work to get this done. We had used Abe's in the past to have our septic pumped. So I called two weeks ahead and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the appt. they indicated they would be here between 2-4 pm. I made certain I was home at 2 and at 4:30 when no one had called or shown up, I contacted them and was told they were on their way. At 4:55 I was called and told it was getting late and the dump was going to close, so could they pump the following morning. I did not have time the next morning and asked if we had to reschedule if they were willing to discount the service given I had been waiting for 3 hours. The person at Abe's indicated they would just come out and were on their way. They arrived at 6:07 per the invoice and pumped the septic in the dark with a flashlight. I am hoping the job was done well but have no way of telling. As a customer, if they were running behind, a call would have been appreciated, and if a reschedule had to occur there would have been a discount of some sort offered for my inconvenience of waiting and extra two hours for them to show up. I was disappointed and frustrated with how much time I took out of my day to accomodate them. read more
