tl;dr Hopefully this review encourages others to get quotes from ASAP Poop in advance or just look…read moreelsewhere for a more reasonable rate. We recently called ASAP Poop for an after-hours job. They were responsive and had somebody out to the house within 1.5 hours, so great news on that front. Everyone over there is kind, and it's the type of company I'd typically use and recommend, if not for one major issue... ...which is that ASAP Poop charges $475/hour for services in addition to any parts they need to sell. (This is beyond emergency service fees of $200, which they indeed disclosed in advance.) So, it's $475/hour to have somebody out to the house, even without any of their equipment used, something I confirmed via speaking to two different people when I called to inquire. Honestly, I was/am shocked at this exorbitant rate. According to Angi HomeAdvisor and Forbes Home Guides, septic services like this usually range between $150 and $300 per hour, making ASAP Poop as much as 3x costlier than others in town (and that's before emergency fees).

As soon as weather permitted, they installed a couple window wells and fixed the grading along one wall of my house over the course of a weekend. They also extended and buried one of my gutters to ensure that water was in fact flowing far away from my foundation. Living on clay soil, this meant that I went from having a babbling brook in my basement during rainstorms, to no water coming in at all. It's been a huge relief, and I'm incredibly grateful to the both of them for their considerate and honest assessment and resolution of the issues I was having.
