Before we bought our first home, we did as much research as possible on the subject (although, you…read morecan't really "know" until you've actually gone through it). We knew we wanted to go with a Mortgage Broker (as opposed to a bank agent) and we were recommended DML by our real estate Buyer Broker.
Right away Dave was awesome.
We could tell instantly that he was used to dealing with newbies (us). From the beginning he was very patient, and he explained every step of the process to us in a clear, understandable fashion.

All along the way, Dave and the guys at DML (Jenn, Debb, et all) were on-point. They answered our calls and emails quickly, professionally, and sometimes even with some humor (always appropriate, and much appreciated).
Overall they were a calming force in a sometimes hectic, and confusing process.
After shopping dozens of lenders, DML got us a great rate, too, and even counseled us when to "lock in" (at an exact point that, turns out, was an historic low point, saving us tens of thousands of dollars over the life of the loan).
Dave even recommended some home owners insurance options to us, which was also very welcome, and helpful.
It took us over 3 months from contract-to-close, and at certain points along the way we were confused. There was either a) nothing happening, or b) something happening behind the scenes. And in all cases Dave (and co) were quick in finding out what was going on, and, when necessary, patiently explaining it to us (very important).
Because the closing stretched passed our rate expiration, we ended up having to extend our rate, and DML was extremely proactive about helping us make the right decision. They helped us understand how much money was to be lost/gained, and made sure we didn't go down to the wire.
I really don't know how we would've survived with out Dave and DML. But we are now in our new home, surrounded by boxes, and we couldn't be happier.
I can't recommend DML highly enough. True professionals, and great people. What more could you ask for?
