If your buying a house and need a mortgage broker you MUST go with A.S.A.P Mortgage!! I've heard horror stories about the mortgage / home process and from start to finish, my husband and I enjoyed every step thanks to A.S.A.P Mortgage Corp. From day 1, Irene Amato and her team Chris, Cindy and Isha went above and beyond. As first time home buyers, my husband and I went into this blind. A.S.A.P Mortgage held our hands from the start, guided us through the entire process and were extremely patient. They were there to answer any question we had, were extremely responsive, and wouldn't hang up the phone until they knew we were comfortable. Thanks to the A.S.A.P Mortgage team, not only did my husband and I successfully close on our home (meeting our initial closing deadline) but we throughly enjoyed the process. THANK YOU to Irene, Chris, Cindy and Isha for your endless support the past 1-2 months!! We couldn't have done it without you!!! read more

I did not use ASAP Mortgage, but here's why I'm writing a review. A few months ago, when mortgage rates were way low, I called around asking for quotes. The internet banks were quick to give me quotes at competitive rates. I figured I would call ASAP to see if they could do any better. When I called, the owner answered the phone and spent the next five minutes talking me OUT of refinancing. She said something along the lines of, "listen, I could sell you a mortgage refinance and make a commission on it, but based on your current mortgage and how much you owe, it won't be worth it for you." I then sat down and took a hard look at the quotes I had been provided and realized that the owner of ASAP was right - a mortgage refinance wouldn't have saved me any money, and it possibly could have cost me some. When is the last time you heard of a business owner turning away a sale because it wouldn't be right for the customer? I was impressed. read more

I was very unhappy with the whole experience. I was misled and lied to. According to my broker who I dealt with told me when we signed all the papers I was promised a rate no higher then 4.5% and then I given a rate of 4.65%. Don't trust them and don't use them find someone else!! read more

Repeat customer for Vlora. Once again she exceeded expectations and delivered. Vlora will take you to closing in record time and help you with any needs during the process. Highly recommended and will definitely work with her again. read more

After an incredibly scaring first experience trying to buy a home, we decided to work with Doug Petri at ASAP Mortgage to guide us through the mortgage process. I simply cannot say enough amazing things about Doug. He was attentive, understanding, and incredibly detail oriented. He listened to my fears and concerns and guided us through every single step with compassion and ease. I cannot tell you how many stressed out texts or calls I sent to him during our underwriting process! and he always talked me down off the ledge. My biggest piece of advice is listen to EVERYTHING he says. He is a true professional, has been in this business for years, and because of him, we closed on our first home last Friday. We owe it all to Doug and ASAP Mortgage! read more

If you enjoy receiving "Can I call you later?" automated text messages then ASAP Mortgage may just be the lender for you. ASAP was recommended to me by a broker and I decided to give them a try largely based on the glowing reviews for them here on Yelp. I was put in contact with Vlora Shala and from day one it has been exceedingly difficult to get in touch with her - from even setting up the initial phone consultation all the way up to obtaining a pre-approval letter, communication has been one way with me repeatedly reaching out to her to little avail. I understand that sometimes things can get busy and I have zero issues being patient if given the right expectations - but if I am told repeatedly to expect a call back later that day and then don't receive any communication for several days, then that is not correctly managed expectations. The only reason I do not wish to give ASAP a one star review is because I do genuinely believe that they have helped other people and on the occasions where I was able to speak with Vlora she did seem like a kind and genuine person. ASAP positions themselves as a full-service, "Unique Boutique Mortgage Experience" that prides itself on exemplary service, but my experience with them has fallen far, far short of that description. read more

I cannot say enough about the service we got with ASAP Mortgage! We had a pretty rough false start on a house this summer and needed to pull back from our contract due an inspection issue. When we found our second house, Jennifer and her team picked up right where we left off and took so much stress out of the process. We closed quickly and got a great rate lock thanks to the diligence of the team. We highly recommend them for anyone looking to finance a house in the Hudson Valley! read more

As a first time buyer, they made the process easier than I thought it would've been. If I had to do it again tomorrow I would use them.

This team was most instrumental to me and my boyfriend owning our first home. They talked us through everything and had our backs the entire way. Vlora was the absolute best to work with and I know for sure we will work with her again when the time comes. Always available to speak to when we had questions and never made us feel like we were alone. Definitely recommend. read more

My wife and I just closed on our first home with Chris Cipriano & he was excellent every step of the way! Chris, and his team; Cindy and Isha put us at ease and made us feel comfortable immediately. We were on a tight timeline to close in 3 weeks and they got it done. We can't thank you guys enough for being so informative, efficient and accommodating. These guys went up and beyond! read more

If you are looking for amazing customer service, ASAP Mortgage is the company for you. Vlora Shala has helped me several times with not only my mortgage but with plenty of family and friends too. Her services are incredible, with consistent communication, knowledge of the homebuying process, overall guidance and so much more! I can't thank Vlora enough for all that she's done for my family and I. Her and her team always went above and beyond for us. She answered all of my questions and If I didn't understand certain things, she always took the time out of her busy schedule to explain everything thoroughly to me. I felt so comfortable and at ease knowing that I had an incredible team behind me helping me in every way possible. I have and will continue to recommend Vlora Shala and her team to everyone! Her professionalism is greatly appreciated! read more

I highly recommend ASAP Mortgage. As a first time home buyer, with a hectic and demanding job, I knew very little about the process and had little time to learn. I worked with Jen and Elvia, who were so patient and generous with their time as they held my hand every step of the way, and explained every detail. They worked with me in a complicated transaction, and helped me get a very attractive rate. Top notch service and great at their business! read more

Irene and team were wonderful to work with. They were super responsive and knowledgeable about the whole process. The expectations they provided on closing costs and expected rate were in line with what we received. I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about Doug Petri at ASAP Mortgage! As first time home buyers, my husband and I were new at the mortgage process, and Doug made the entire thing a breeze - from pre-qualification through our closing. Not only is he unbelievably professional and knows the industry in and out, but he's kind, patient, supportive and funny! He not only helped us get our mortgage, but ensured that we understood the process, exactly what we were signing, and he was always available for questions and concerns. Doug made a process that everyone made sound terrifying a totally manageable (dare I say, enjoyable?) experience and I would (and have!) recommend him to anyone looking for a new home. Thank you again, Doug!!! :) read more

This was the biggest purchase of my life and the easiest process thanks to everyone at ASAP Mortgage! Happy in my new home!! Thank you!!

Irene Amato and the staff of Asap mortgage helped me obtain our mortgage this past December. I was a first time buyer and can not thank them enough for their patience and for always answering any questions I had all the time. They honestly made me feel like I had a team on my side whenever I needed them. Everyone at ASAP Mortgage is compassionate, professional and hands down gets my recommendation always! I appreciate them and them making time for me anytime I needed, buying a new home as a first time buyer intimidating and nerve racking but the staff relieves that feeling! They kept in contact with me and updated me every step of the way with any info regarding my interests. read more

I bought my first home and couldn't have done it without the team at ASAP. They all worked hard and went above and beyond the call of duty (as the phrase goes) to make this happen. As a new home buyer, there was so much new information and things to keep track of that I often became overwhelmed. The team at ASAP held my hand throughout the process, explaining and reexplaining various aspects of the process. Special thanks to Nancy Meserole; she did much of the explaining and reexplaining and did so calmly and with warmth and humor. Thank you! read more

This is the second time I have used ASAP mortgage to purchase a house. They are the best in the industry. Irene and her team know this business in and out and will get you the best rates out there. They are so responsive and walk you through every step of a complicated process with ease. You will not be disappointed! read more

Horrible. Buyers beware! No communication with the sellers or attorneys when it became clear our deadline to secure a mortgage was approaching and we might need an extension. The date came and went, and the sellers backed out. We lost our dream home. No empathy whatsoever. The worst. read more

We recently used Doug Petri from ASAP Mortgage Corp for the purchase of our new home. We've bought and sold many homes in the past and have gone through all the nightmares and piles of paperwork from banks and mortgage companies. We are happy to say that our recent experience through ASAP was flawless and painless! Dealing with Doug, who is an absolute professional was wonderful. He guided us through the entire process, which can be tricky when building a new home. We submitted all of our original paperwork with Doug and he called us about 3 weeks later to tell us we were approved. We wish we knew about ASAP Mortgage Corp and Doug Petri sooner. We encourage everyone to use them, and we have already had family and friends use them. read more

The process of buying our home was extremely complicated and required that we consider various financing instruments through the negotiations.  Jennifer was our loan officer and without her guidance and work, we wouldn't have been able to navigate this purchase. She made herself available to us even during evenings and weekends to explain, and re-explain requirements and costs of 203k loans, homestyle loans, escrow hold-backs, and conventional loans.  The property we were trying to buy was a bank owned property that, unexpectedly, didn't appraise for conventional financing at first.  We had extremely tight contract deadlines to hit and Jennifer not only prepared us for conventional financing but also got all of the paperwork in the pipeline in case we needed to unexpectedly pivot on a dime to a rehab loan.  She was a pleasure to work with and we'll reach out again for any future financing needs. read more

I saw the house i wanted to raise my family in, but got rejected by all the major banks. Went to Jen Maldonado at ASAP and now we're living there. Couldn't ask for anything more. read more

Irene has since reached out to us after our initial review. After a conversation over the phone, we met up at her main office in Yorktown. She was able to assure us that her company and employees did their part to secure us a loan. The problem lied with a particular employee at a branch office; whom failed in properly communicating a quandary. We decided to give ASAP another go since she said she would personally oversee the process. I felt much better this time and the process went much smoother. Throughout the process Irene kept in touch via email and phone. She was involved in every aspect. She was thorough, professional, and pleasant to converse with. She was very concerned in making sure there were no hiccups this time. We also closed very close to the estimated time she gave us. We are very pleased and grateful for the attention and professionalism presented to us by ASAP. I sincerely hope that Irene and her staff understands that the previous review was not malicious. Rather, a last resort to remedy mistakes made by a lone employee who refused to take ownership. read more
