I only get my hair cut once or twice a year. I've had my hair cut here a couple of times and both times were great. The stylist was friendly and worked with me to figure out what I wanted. I was very happy with the look and will be back the next time I get my hair cut. read more

I went for a hair cut yesterday. I had medium length hair and wanted to go for a very short hair cut. Naomi was my stylist. She was friendly, and heard me out. The end result" I love it". Thank you Naomi for the amazing style.Asante will be my go to salon for sure. read more

Based on the reviews, I scheduled an appointment. The salon was nice and my stylist was nice enough, but it seemed like she was just going through the motions. She also didn't listen very well and I ended up with bangs about 1/8th of an inch long. My hair is very short all over, but this was ridiculous. She didn't apologize or seem concerned after I pointed out that they were much shorter than I said I wanted. read more

They are all very good but I go to Christine because she not only gives a great cut and color but makes me laugh during the entire session. I love the Aveda products and this salon is very low key and no one pressures you to buy. Two very big plusses over my previous stylist: the cut and color lasts much longer and the Aveda dyes do not irritate my scalp. I guess the best reason for my going to Assante: my best friend and worst critic said to me following my first visit: "Well, someone finally got it right!" read more

Having recently moved in town from another state, I found Asante Salon after looking at reviews on Yelp and Google. Amanda was fantastic. Professional, friendly and knew her business. I showed her an image of the kind of cut I wanted and she cut it exactly like that! I loved that she was quick and efficient and I did not waste any time at all. The salon itself is clean and well maintained. No weird smells, no yucky shampoo stations, no floor matted with hair.....! Based on this experience, I think I would be going here again and would recommend it to others too. read more

I've been going to Autumn at Asante Salon for over a year now. She always does a great job on my hair and most importantly, helps me figure out the direction I want to go with it when I provide vague "I want a change but not sure what" guidelines. She can be chatty or not depending on your mood and her scalp massage is awesome! read more

This is best haircut and color I have received in several years. I have been trying multiple salons on the Eastside without any luck. Wanda is absolutely perfect. She listened to my ideas, and she mentioned the pros/cons of the style I wanted. With her suggestions, I walked out of the salon with a style and color better than I imagined. I appreciated her sincerity in creating a final product that I liked and would be able to maintain. She is very skilled at her profession, and I recommend her without any hesitation. The salon was welcoming and had a calm ambiance. Everyone was friendly with one another and with the clients. It appeared as though I was the only "first timer" in the salon; all the others were regular clients. I will now be a devoted client of Wanda's and join the club of regulars. read more

Had my first men's cut with Autumn and it was my best haircut in many years. She is fantastic and I am glad she is my new stylist.

Jennifer did a great job cutting my curly hair. Had a pleasant experience at Asante today. I will be back when it's time for a trim.

I have been going to Amanda for a few years now. Since I only get a couple of haircuts a year, I am usually looking for a drastic cut and color so that I can leave the salon feeling like a new woman and each time she has stepped up to the challenge. Amanda really listens to what I want but is also very realistic in telling what would or wouldn't look good. In our last appointment when I showed her pictures of what I was looking for, she absolutely nailed the color and cut. read more

Been going here for over 4 years. So happy that I found a stylist that I can trust and who always does a phenomenal job. I always leave feeling amazing and have never been the slightest bit unhappy with the results. Thank you Autumn .... you're THE BEST!!! read more

Came to Asante two times in a row in a month. Once for overall hair color and second time for a cut. I am disappointed. Hair color was done poorly with hair color all over my forehead, neck and ears. The shampoo was not rinsed off properly as well. When you pay $$ you expect a good service at least. It was a simple overall hair color nothing complicated. For the haircut I got the owner of the salon to cut my hair. I would not call her warm and friendly. Whole experience was about what she wanted to do vs what I wanted. I asked for a flat iron look at the end and she point blank refused saying she does not do that. She gave me uneven layers in the front (face framing) and did not apologize for it. Not a good experience. Definitely not going here ever again. Their quality of service has definitely gone down from when they were in their old location. Wish they had stayed the same. read more

Everyone at the salon is quite pleasant and it's very sunny and bright and tidy--not very, very upscale yet very, very nice. They have tons of magazines to read. They offer you tea or water. And, they do a free hand massage, too. Love it. Very down to earth, in keeping with what I expected given what Aveda stands for. It's not a scene like some salons. I see Autumn for color...she's very pleasant and she does a nice thorough job on my gray so I've been really pleased. The Aveda color is the gentlest ever. Somehow, Aveda color manages to cover major grey roots without the nasty ammonia smell you get with other color and without causing any problems for my super-sensitive scalp. It hardly fades, either. I don't know how they do it. I'm always a sucker for trying new products even though I'm always skeptical that they'll make any difference. The Aveda shampoos and conditioners really are different, effective, and extremely gentle. I never got any hard sell on the products, which I appreciated. Highly recommend... read more

My boyfriend and I both go here. Kristen is a doll. She is super friendly and does an amazing job on guys and girls. I got a cut and color, and was pleased with both. They gave $20 off for new clients, which is nice. Aveda never really disappoints. Their products and service are amazing. read more

I got my hair done by Jennifer for my wedding day. I was absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! I live in Seattle so I am very unfamiliar with hair salons over in Redmond. I'm so glad I decided to have Jennifer do my hair for my wedding! She is super friendly and really, really cared about how my hair turned out; she wanted it to be absolutely perfect for my wedding. After our trial run, we emailed back and forth about a couple of changes we wanted to make to the up-do for the big day. Jennifer and her team came in to the salon early to help get through all 8 of us on the day of my wedding. She even brought in flavored water (cucumber mint!) for us to drink while we were getting ready. I highly recommend Jennifer for someone looking for a wedding up-do! read more

I went in for a bang trim this past weekend and they were exactly what I have come to expect from Aveda. Great service, great products, excellent hair cutting. I will add on/update this review when I go back for a cut! Thank you! read more

I've been going to Asante for years and have NEVER been disappointed. Liza and her colleagues all have a great rapport with their clients and understand different needs for different hair types. I have curly hair and was searching for a good stylist for years before I found Asante. They take the time to make sure you get what you want and provide exceptional quality products and services for costs that are quite reasonable compared with similar services at other salons where I felt like a number and left disappointed. read more

I had a wonderful haircut, highlights and all over color yesterday by Jenifer at Asante. My hair is damaged and thinning and just looked ... BLAH. I could no longer manage the grey coverage with home hair color and nothing ever really came out right. So, after reading the reviews here for local salons, I decided to visit Asante. I met with Jenifer for a consultation a few days prior. We spent about 20 minutes talking about what I wanted (my hair is thin so I wanted to be able to mask that) vs. what was possible (yes, with the proper cut and color, the look of the thinning could be minimized). Plus, we went over what would be best for the health of my hair in terms of doing foils and all over color or perhaps just one or the other, and how light or dark to go. Jenifer was completely honest and upfront about what she thought would look best. She even showed me the wig and hair pieces that the salon also uses, and explained how they worked. I appreciated that she took the time to do this. So many stylists don't do this or don't do it this well, and many customers need this reality check. I came back yesterday for my appointment and we reviewed my hair again, how much to cut and how much red/blonde to add. Then Jenifer got to work - and the cut and color are really better than what I wanted. I have not had my hair look so good in a very long time. The cut is a stacked bob that is not too severe, not too short, very full and the highlights are subtle (Jenifer wrapped my older highlights in conditioner and didn't need to add too many). The layers are cut just right - even that evil lock of hair that never falls the right way so it looks like I have an errant spike on my head is smooth and cooperative! The cut and style also minimized the appearance of the thinning and I feel really pretty. Sometimes when women lose their hair, they can feel very unfeminine and now I feel better! I so appreciated the time and attention Jenifer paid to listen to what I wanted and the way in which she explained that some of what I wanted I could not achieve due to my hair health and the thinning aspect, and she was right. But, she got me thisclose to what I wanted and I really like it. I will be back! I also have to mention Wanda, who is the stylist that deals with the wigs and hair pieces. She spoke to me for a few minutes about what my options were when I felt ready to try them out. She was very kind (and discreet) and very honest. However, at this time, I'm not psychologically ready to take that step and she understood that. read more

Liza and her team have been helping my family with hair styling and color for years. Specifically they are friendly and responsive. We take our 3 year old there as well. It is nice to have a good business in our community. Thank you! read more

Showed up for appointment I scheduled six weeks ago to be told sorry I wasn't on the calendar and nothing they could do. Horrible, horrible customer service. Which is disappointing since the actual hair service was great! read more

Asante Salon is a gift. I've been going here for years. Now that they've moved to Redmond Town Center, I thought I'd give them a shout out. Liza, the owner, is really cool, plus it's Aveda so it has that going for it. Kristen is my stylist and colorist and she's really gifted, totally fun, and I don't know what I would do without her. 10 stars!! read more

Please stay away from this salon. Their stylists are not professional. I had what was supposed to be a trim turn into a severe butchering of my hair. I asked a neighboring store how such a place could survive and she mentioned "some who received services there have stopped by here and have mentioned they were not at all happy with the service." I really hope, if anything, that I can prevent even one more person from having such a terrible experience. We all have gotten bad haircuts, but this will top them all. This isn't just bad, it's just unacceptable. read more

Love this place! Morgan does an excellent job and understands exactly what I want. She's very knowledgeable and very good with blonde hair. Great salon with great staff! read more

Autumn is the best hairdresser I have ever been to. She's truly talented and such a wonderful person as well. I love talking with her as much as I love what she does for my hair. I have been going to see her for the last six years and have referred all of my friends to see her as well- I'm not sure why it took me so long to write this review. :-) Even though I have been living in Seattle for years I still drive all the way to Redmond to see her. read more

Nikki is an incredible stylist I have found in 6 years after moving to US. I have always struggled to get that perfect haircut after moving from my home country, and when I found Nikki (an year ago), she was just so incredible at her job. I first met her for an highlights (as I have never colored my hair before), and Nikki did a great job of giving me great suggestions, and gave this beautiful highlights and haircut (the exact one that I wanted for years). This is my 2nd appointment with her, and I have been super happy so far. read more

Just okay. My hair is pretty hard to cut (it frequently ends up looking lopsided for reasons I've never figured out), so I have learned not to expect anything brilliant when trying out a new hair salon. The haircut I got here met those expectations. read more

I have been a regular here for more than a year...and everytime Liza gives me an amazing haircut.Love their services..

My sister and I have lived in this area for several years, and Amanda is by far the best stylist either one of us has been to. She does amazing color and cuts, and always listens to our requests, which are sometimes a bit demanding. She has great advice and we always leave feeling beautiful. We don't trust anyone else with our hair! read more

I had a great experience with my stylist Jennifer. She knew exactly what to do with my hair without me saying much. She did such a fabulous job cutting and curling my hair that it stayed looking gorgeous for several days. Of course once I washed it, I couldn't style it even close to how she did it but I'm very happy with my experience and would highly recommend this salon and Jennifer. read more

Love this place. First off, it's an adorable shop. Prices are affordable and they even have a discount on Mondays. Plus they take the prime card! I changed my hair color for the first time in my life, Zoriana listened to what I wanted and helped me choose the right shade for my skin tone. She made me feel comfortable when I was super nervous. I also loved my haircut. Will be going back! read more

I have been going to Autumn for almost 3 years now, and I can't imagine another person touching my hair. She as a stylist is what you wish for. She listens to what you want and somehow is able to interrupt it and get your hair where you want it to be. She is the hair whisperer. read more

I love this place! My husband makes fun of me for switching stylists and salons so much looking for the right place. I'm happy to say I've found it with Autumn. She listens to what you want but also has great suggestions for those indecisive times. Her technique is always flawless. Highly recommended read more

I had my first visit at this salon today. I make it a point to support local business and this was a place I found online and had noticed driving by. My stylist and colorist was Kristen. I showed her my pictures of what I was hoping she could me with for color and style. I have naturally curly hair and this as usually induced sighs and not in a good way. Kristen was great! She knew exactly what I wanted and let me know that it would work with my hair. The color was beautiful and the cut was spot on! I will certainly be back to see Kristen again for my next cut and color. I would recommend Asante to anyone who needs a friendly, professional and local salon. read more

Kristen is my stylist/colorist. I have had several appointments with her and she has done a great job every time with cut and color! She listens to what I want, but also shares her opinion without being overbearing. I always get my hair colored to cover my grays (and I've had much better luck with Aveda salons for covering grays than some other "fancier" salons in Bellevue). Recently I decided to try highlights again and Kristen took the time to explain and show me the different ranges in highlights and how it would look. She is professional and approachable. I hope she never moves! read more

Amanda cuts my hair and my boyfriend's hair, and she does a great job for both of us. I like to go in on weekday mornings when it's quiet to beat the weekend rush. The last time I had my hair cut she took a little extra time to show me how to put natural looking curls in my hair and sent me off with a bounce in my step. read more

My hairdresser that I had since 1992 died unfortunately of cancer last year, she was a great hairdresser, but before she got too sick, she turned her practice over to another lovely black woman, Wanda, who works at Asante Salon in Redmond, (which is a Aveda salon) her speciality is color, hair extensions, and relaxing black hair, she is a MASTER! She has made my hair looking like spun gold! It has never been so shiny or healthy either! Her number is 425-882-1641! If you are broke or unemployed she will cut costs for you, but she is a perfectionist, my prior hairdresser would let me leave with my hair all wet and not fixed, not Wanda! She uses a flat iron to make sure when I walk out, I look like a million bucks! (She says that I am representing her, and she wants me to look fabulous), and like I said, she is a perfectionist! In California, it's not uncommon for someone to pay upwards of over $3000.00 for hair extensions, not Wanda! You can get really long extensions for around $500.00 to $600.00! And she will match your hair perfectly too, she is a true master of hair color, cuts and especially hair extensions! read more
