1. You have to pay cash or get charged extra. 2. They want money up front and often before it's even done. 3. When you get there imagine that you are giving them a blank check because it's going to charge you a lot more than you expect! For example: They charged me for 6 q of oil at $19ea. that's $114 for putting oil in my engine. They charged me for 6qt but my car only holds 4.5. I was given a quote of $3,000- $4,000 for head gasket replacement. They said they needed $1500 before they would even start working on it. Once they were in there they told me my clutch (that had been working fine) needed replacing and it would cost around 700-900 more. They kept calling me and asking for more and more money. They even tried to get me to pay for everything before it was finished, saying they had to pay their employees. When they finish my car I was given a bill of $8,770. After I took the car and drove it, I could smell burning oil. By the time I got back to Dallas I was low on oil and learned it was leaking badly. Long story short I ended up having to ship the car back to them. They told me the reason it was leaking was because of old brittle PVC hoses that they had put back on. They charged me thousands more on top of $8770 to fix something that they should have done the first time. On top of that the clutch they put in doesn't work near as good as the one I had in there before. Wish I'd never heard of ASAA racing. read more

Took my car to this "performance" shop and spent $5500 only to have my car come out making less horsepower than when it went in. My car ran so bad and they didn't want to fix it immediately. They wanted to push me off another week?? The install was so bad my entire exhaust system from Headers to tail pipes practically dangling from car. They didn't tighten bolts to steering shaft and would have caused me to lose steering. They let wires hang and touch Headers. Headers were sitting on tunnel Brace with NO spacers and almost burnt a hole in pipes. I told them I wanted my money back for installation as I had to pay another shop to fix their issues. They wanted me to bring my car back????? Are you insane??? read more

I brought in my project build to ASAA for a tune thinking it was nearly complete, needed a few sensors and would be ready for them to throw a street tune on my hondata. They noticed my fresh 0 mile build had a couple oil leaks and asked if they could pull the head to figure out the extent. They found that the previous mechanic missed some important steps in the build, took photos of all the areas they felt were not done correctly and saved me from catastrophe. I was already $2k into the build when they got the car and they said it basically needed to be redone from the ground up but that I could keep my new head and block. They said it would be close to the budget I gave them but that they could swing it more than likely. It turns out the job was a bit beyond my budget and out of empathy rarely seen in this industry, they did a few things off the clock, threw in a few things at their cost or free, and ended up eating a small portion of the cost for the sake of my thus far crappy situation. They called me every day with updates. Invited me in every few days to see what they were doing. Gaskets, dowel pins, simple things that make or break my particular build all needed addressing, had they just tuned my car and sent me on my way I would have lost another motor. A day after I picked up my car, my starter went out, totally unrelated to them and a symptom of my car sitting for 2 years. They threw on another starter for the price of a starter at auto zone, not a penny more, no mark up and no labor. My fender and bumper were not flush and even though they don't do body work, they fixed that for me because they are good guys, also no charge. I have been in the import game along time and spent a lot of money in lieu of having the mechanical aptitude myself. I traveled the country for work and have modified my Hondas in WI, CA, AZ and now here in Texas. I am not an experienced mechanic but I am definitely an experienced consumer having encountered the full spectrum of quality work. They very well might not be the cheapest estimate for your job. They will be the most likely to do it right the first time however and if you pay a little more for everything done right from the start and that makes them a better deal than shops with lower quotes. If you are familiar with King Motorsports in Wisconsin, the sole importer of Mugen goods here in the US and an extremely respected name in the scene, you can rest assured that the facilities, the skill, the customer service, are all bar none here just the same as at King where I started my journey into the import world 20 years ago. I can't emphasize enough the honesty, fairness, and relentless pursuit of quality and safety they showed me thought the completion (for now) of my build. Went into this shop to ask about how much they charge to install piston and rods in my car. They told me that they will help me in a bit , A bit turn into a full hour and 30 plus minutes of waiting . WHEN i saw other employees there not doing anything . One of the workers kept telling me in the next 15 minutes ,not once but several times. I waited there patiently like nothing was wrong .Finally i left this terrible performance shop when i saw other employees texing and laughing ,not worried about there customers ...A few times i noticed their wokers Just looking at me like i wasnt any concern. To bad this place is badly run by its employees .I was told that the owner is asain . Asaa Is a complete waste of time . No wonder is located in the slums of spring branch ... I will never go to this shop again ,nor will i recommend it to any of my buddies who are building there engines . read more

I took my 2012 accord coupe to Asaa racing after hitting a major pothole on Houston roads that caused severe suspension damage. Insurance was involved, and the owner went far above my expectations to speak with the insurance adjuster about every single piece that needed to be replaced and why based on how my car was driving (insurance did not want to pay for anything because some parts didn't have "visual damage" like my tein street advance coilovers). The guys here are very respectful and knowledgeable. They will even take the time to text you pics during the repair if you ask and they are honest about everything upfront. No surprises. I am very impressed with the work done to my vehicle. Insurance paid a total of $8,000 and Asaa racing replaced control arms, knuckles, sway bars w/ end links, tein coilovers, and the list goes on. I used to only take my car to Honda dealership for repairs, but Asaa racing won my business I would highly recommend them to any friend or family member because I trust their work and expertise. The guys at ASAA Racing in Houston deserve a thumbs up. There are only a few places in Houston that can do and provide the wide range of services they provide...and especially in such a small space. Parking is difficult, but shows they stay busy. They are fair with prices and the wait time is normal for the services they perform. I've used their services for many years and continue to do so. If people feel unhappy with the work, to me it would make sense to spend time to discuss a resolution while at the store; not spending time posting negative feelings online while their car is still not satisfactory to them. It seems like that would make more sense. Like I mentioned before, I will always continue to go here for aftermarket upgrades to my vehicles and feel comfortable with the work they provide. read more

WORST place to bring your car for ANYTHING. Can't do an alarm, speakers, even instillation correctly. Paid over $350 for my alarm that DOESNT work. After I left my dash and radio piece fell off. SO FAR, I am impressed with the service and professionalism by which this motorsport tuner operates. They have so far appeared to be on the up and up, and slowly gaining both my respect and trust. Went to this shop for a tune on 10th gen accord 1.5T CVT, after having installed PRL 300 cell cat down pipe, PRL front pipe, 3" cat back custom exhaust, PRL intercooler, Mishimoto oil catch can, and K-tuner stage 2 tune; and now tuned by Mr. Albert at the shop. Being my nature for adrenaline speed rush, and the unfortunate unavailability of flex fuel; I am having them install H2O meth injection system from AEM. When all said and done another tune forthcoming I will conclude my review of this performance shop. At this juncture I can report positive feed back for this shop. I will conclude my review after when all said and done; feeling positive right now. Yes, they are NOT inexpensive, but if you finish up with excellent workmanship in the end, you could say you have saved money from another shop f%*king it all up and requiring a complete redo.
