I came to Select Physical Therapy from a surgeons referral. I was searching for an alternative to…read moreadditional surgery. Both of my feet have been in pain for quite a while due to genetics. I had a tendon transfer and calcaneal osteotomy surgery on my right foot which corrected the initial problem but caused other problems, nerve damage and more even pain.. I was introduced to Carolyn from Florida at Select Physical Therapy and she listened to what I had to say and expertly evaluated my situation. We started a regimen of exercise, stretching and massage. Unfortunately, the chronic condition in both feet bringing me pain were not relieved and I am becoming unable to walk. I've been to a number of PT's and I just have to compliment Carolyn. She was easy to talk to, interesting and adjusted her efforts according to my needs and pain levels. Her level of experience and professionalism was refreshing and appreciated and I trusted her judgment. In the end and due to pain, we had to sideline most exercises for massage. I really do not understand how this place has such good reviews…read more My Insurance does not cover PT until I hit my deductible so I was very sure to get pricing ahead of time. I was informed that it was $150 a visit. I ultimately only had 3 visits as I was disappointed in the service. At every visit, I handed over my card to pay and was told the total due was $150. Well, I just got a HUGE bill in the mail, and it turns out she only charged my card once (so why did I hand my card over at the other two visits), and the price is MUCH more than $150 a visit. I would not be so upset if the service was good and they were upfront with pricing, but they definitely misled me with the amount I would be charged. The reason I stopped going after three visits is because my 30-minute visit was much shorter. My therapist often had me spend the first 10 minutes on the treadmill warming up. Well, at the rate they are charging, that's a $70 walk. Then we would spend the next 20 minutes actual doing PT. The place is so crowded that often the equipment he wanted to use was taken so we would do something else. Then the patient after me would always show up 10 minutes early and he would spend his time split between us. So I really only had 10 minutes of undivided time with my therapist, which cost me north of $200 a visit. I ended up finding a local PT provider. They charged me less than half of what this place charged me and spent a full hour with me. I could not be happier with them. While everyone here was nice, it's ultimately a large corporate company trying to make the most at the cost of their patients. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. Edit to add:After paying my bill in full, I got a letter from a debt collector on their behalf saying I owe them money. I only got one bill in the mail, and I paid it the day I got it. Why didn't they call me or send more letters before sending something to collections and hurting my credit score. I have never had something sent to collections in my life or have had a late payment for that matter. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
