Christian is absolutely amazing! I had shoulder impingement versus a shoulder bursitis and was recommended to go to PT. I first went to one place out in the Highlands and had a terrible experience where the PT specialist didn't spend much one-on-one time with me and did a round of dry needling that didn't really help. I decided to try Elevations Physical Therapy after a colleague recommended this place and I am SO happy I did. Christian has worked magic on my shoulder with his dry needling and manipulation therapy of the muscle. He also spends the whole session one-on-one with me and gives me very doable exercises to do at home. He even provided me bands to use at home for my exercises. Sadly these folks have lost my business. After cancelling an appointment due to weather (read: safety) concerns, I got schooled about winter tires and the general pattern of snow in Colorado. Um really?! Well I've news for ya, new blizzaks are on the car, grew up in the Midwest snow belt and learned to drive in heavy snow. I'm more concerned about other folks in the burbs that do not plan for the weather or get stuck in ice - hence the recent 100 car pileup around here and the ice rink yesterday. Point is- go school the whole community if you're concerned about folks not having proper tires and/or know-how in general. Condescending folks are annoying. And there are lots of therapists around here so I'll find another one that has tact and cares about people and doing the right thing over trying to be passive aggressive. When the roads are a slick mess, common sense is to wait it out and avoid being on them unless necessary. read more

I sought Julie's physical therapy expertise when I developed frozen shoulder after having surgery two years ago. I'm an acupuncturist and was doing everything I knew how to free it up with no luck. Julie is a miracle worker! I honestly have never met someone who is so knowledgeable about the human body. I went to her the summer of 2015 with a thoracic injury, thinking I would never not hurt again. She proved me wrong and fixed me. Honestly, I am still blown away. She could simply look at me and see what was off - my collar bone was high, my vertebrate were twisted, my muscles were inflamed on one side, I was holding my hip funny, one leg was shorter than the other due to a tight hip flexer... and she would fix it and the pain would immediately go away. When you're in pain, to not hurt is all you want and she can help with that! She is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and now someone I consider a friend after all the work we did together. She really cares about her patients and it shows in so many ways. Being an athlete herself, she is really helpful with sport-related injuries and can help get you back on track with your fitness goals after she helps you heal. I've seen her work with so many different people with so many different issues and everyone has the same thing to say - "Julie is awesome!!" I first visited Elevation Physical Therapy just prior to having my knee reconstructed. My ACL was completely torn and underwent an autograft procedure using my patellar tendon. My meniscus was also severely compromised requiring removal of about 30%. From my first visit just prior to my reconstruction to the enduring therapy sessions over the course of the following year the focus at Elevation PT was unwavering: get better and resume all of your favorite activities with improved functionality. I am an active person who enjoys both individual (mountain biking and wake/snowboarding) and team sports, particularly soccer. Thanks to Elevation Physical Therapy, I have returned to those sports in stronger condition than before and am using techniques that are less impactful on and more sustainable to my body. I've been working with Julie for almost two years now and cannot say enough about the improvements my body has experienced! She has a very clinical approach and targeted the source of my lower back pain, which has been plaguing me for years. I can say that the treatment and exercises she provided has greatly changed my ability to exercise and enjoy the physical activities I love. She was also able to work through a partially torn rotator cuff injury so I am almost back to my level of strength before that injury. There are people who go to PT school for 6 months and say they can help you. Alex was great to work with! I had an ongoing heel issue from distance running that I just couldn't figure out, and he really helped me work through it so that I could still keep training & recovering but in a more mindful way. We worked on a progression of exercises over a couple of months that helped with some other muscle/balance weaknesses and I'm still amazed at how it really made a difference. I felt like he tailored each session based on my feedback and progress and was good at adapting to what worked or why I had setbacks. Joel and Julie are both fantastic PTs. I have been so pleased with the work they do for me. I started going and most days could not even walk. Now I have more good days than bad and very rarely have problems walking. I primarily see Joel and he is very good about not pushing my body too hard and only doing as much as is needed. I have never felt that my exercises were too much and he does a fantastic job at manipulating the muscles to improve mobility. I absolutely recommend them. I'm an avid runner, and after suffering some hip pain during a 10-mile run that didn't get better with rest, I had xrays done. Then I started PT at the same place. After 6 visits, I saw no improvement AND that place was charging me for every 15 minutes! I was paying hundreds of dollars per visit! I found Julie and Elevation Physical Therapy and I am so happy I did. In my first appointment with Julie, she did more for me than the six visits with the other place. She is attentive and listens, and really works to diagnose the issue. She does a combination of massage and stretching. She taught me some stretches to do every day to keep my muscles from bunching up. She's worked hard to get me through my issue, which is still undiagnosed - sharp pain in the ilium crest ONLY when I run. I've had several foot surgeries over the last few years and am constantly battling scar tissue. The scar tissue locks up my toes from moving and then I have to go in for manipulations with the doctor to break up the scar tissue resulting in a very swollen and bruised foot. Since I've been working with Julie starting last July, I'm happy to say my toes are still moving pretty freely. This is the longest I've gone without a manipulation on my foot.
