A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

This is a job that…read morewe have done about every three years and our regular yard people were not available this year, so I called Austinscapes. I talked to Paul in the office, who arranged for his outside guy, Mo, to come out and do an estimate. Everyone was pleasant to deal with and the price was reasonable -- about the same as what we had been paying. They get 1/2 up front and then 1/2 on completion. In just a few days, a dump truck from Whittlesey put the 12 yards of mulch on our driveway. A couple guys from Austinscapes were there that afternoon and by mid-day the next day, they had it all done. Turned out to be a perfect estimate on the amount of mulch needed and took less time to get done than I would have thought. They cleaned up nicely. What's not to like?

This year, his Valentine's gift was Northwest Lawn Service. We originally requested just the leaves but ended up needing the whole lawn mowed because, well, we let it get a wee bit out of hand over the months (there were several weeds the height of small children in the backyard...eep!). Paul was not only super kind and easy to work with but his team was AMAZING!! In a mere 2.5/3 hours, they did the amount of work that would have taken us several backbreaking weekends. Not to mention, they even trimmed our hedges and did some edging work which really put the cherry on the cake. My boyfriend was like a kid in a candy shop, racing around to all of our windows to watch in amazement as they transformed our sad-looking yard into a modern-day Eden while I basked in the glory of this great decision (and my fortuitous situation of finding these guys). Also, the price was AWESOME. Paul cut us a very affordable deal where other services would have charged a fortune for such a beautiful and perfectly executed job. Our neighbors are green with envy and I'm not complaining. Can't wait to give these guys a call next year!

While I was setting up Christmas decorations, I observed that one of the bushes has begun to regrow, which seems to be regarded as a miracle since the root ball was supposedly removed! Additionally, I noticed that a considerable portion of the newly installed concrete slab is distinctly discolored due to inconsistent or improper mixing. Unfortunately it seems I will have to resolve this through our court system.

The project included a complicated French drain that started in the far side of my backyard and extended down the fence line of my property and emptied into the front lawn. The second project, which occurred a couple of years later was to install new sod in my front yard. The most recent project was to replace existing grass from one side of my yard and replace with gravel and step stones. None of the projects were simple one day projects. In most cases the jobs were 2-3 days of hard laborious work for the workers. Speaking of the workers. Pete Facundo is the director of the Bioscapes projects. Pete has always been honest, patient and a professional to work with. His employees are well trained and skillful in the performance of their work. They are respectful and courteous to their customers and their neighbors at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend Pete and Bioscapes for your landscaping project.
