While sitting behind "the glass" for days at a time isn't my favorite activity- some research facilities make it easier than others. Assistance in Marketing (AIM) is just one of those places. First of all- they do a great job recruiting the right people for the research based on the criteria that has been provided to them. Oftentimes, I have to ask participants to leave as they have not been properly screened, but such was not the case with Aim. The facility is centrally located, has parking for the clients and the back room is spacious enough to accommodate even the largest client groups. The sound systems work, and the temperature is controllable by the client which is also an issue at most places. But the real treat? This research facility has it's own chef. No catered in food that has to be re warmed. No food that you cannot bear to eat. Just freshly prepared salads and sandwiches for lunch, and dinners that rival local restaurants. This morning- they even made custom crafted omelets for those of us in the back room. A much appreciated break from the coffee and donuts that is usually provided by most facilities. Research is never going to be the favorite part of my job. But if it can be made a little more bearable with places like AIM!

I was fortunate enough to be involved with the Mazda company as a test driver for a little bit. AIM was the hiring agency that provided the drivers for them. When I went into the AIM office, I was greeted by one of the staff that helped me fill in my paperwork and sat me down to answer some questions. It was very simple and relaxed. The process was fairly quick and they always give you a call when they have openings for positions that you qualify for. I would definitely check them out if you are in need to temp jobs to find. Parking is very spacious for this location. I would doubt that it ever fills up or that you would have a hard time finding parking.

I was disappointed with my experience at FastSigns in Orange…read more At the beginning, the salesperson didn't ask questions about how the banner would be used (it was intended as a photo-op backdrop). Had that conversation happened, potential sizing or formatting issues may have been caught early. I was told on Monday that the banner would be ready for pickup on Wednesday, and my file was reviewed and said to look fine. However, five days after the original promised date, I was told the file needed to be reformatted. I had left messages checking on the status but didn't receive a callback. I eventually spoke with Lynn, who was kind and arranged delivery since I couldn't pick it up. When the banner arrived, the quality was below what I've experienced with other vendors, and it was delivered without a cardboard tube, which caused bends and wrinkles along one side. Because this was meant for photos, the creasing was very noticeable and made it unusable for its intended purpose. I appreciate that everyone was polite and that delivery was provided. I'm hopeful FastSigns will reach out and find a way to make this right.
