This was a few years ago but I kept having problems with starting my jeep grand Cherokee, I took it multiple times to Dan's jeep in westboro and Everytime they told me it was fixed it happened again. I needed to have AAA send a repair truck and they sent Arts towing, the guy that came told me exactly what was wrong with the jeep because he had the same problem, once I told Dan's they finally found the problem that the man from Arts said it was. I was so thankful for him otherwise I would have kept throwing money at Dan's and it never would have been fixed. I was super pleased with Arts towing because of that incident. read more

I had plans to go fishing one morning cut in my vehicle and the engine would not turn over. I have a red light plugged in to the cigarette lighter, giving me indication that the battery is functioning. The light was nonexistent all that auto body. They were a little busy And arrived an hour later and the truck started right up. Excellent service paid cash little later in the morning, I went down to ART'S and they gave me a receipt which I sent off to my insurance company. absolutley awful. We called at 6:39pm, 35' outside, and said we locked our keys in the car. We were told it would be about 15ish minutes to get to us. 7:56 pm, they finally got to us, 1 hour and 10 minutes later! The person answering the calls was so unprofessional, could not give us an ETA other than the driver is en route. Beyond terrible experience with Arts towing. I was stuck on the off-ramp due to tire Issues. We called the state police who called Arts towing. I was told I had to pay $250 and was given no other option. Upon reading that the rate for the state police is $108 plus 3.60 per mile afterwards on mass.gov I called Arts. Arts stated that that rate is only for towing to their location, otherwise it is considered a private tow. I was never told about this option to get it towed to their location. Completely unacceptable. Do not use it's a scam. read more

My car died 3 days over a 5 day span...so not great luck on my part. Luckily, AAA dispatched Art's towing to me all 3 times. Izzy was my tow truck driver all 3 times, each time we managed to find humor in the situation and my unfortunate luck. Izzy had the most professional, friendly demeanor I have ever experienced from a tow truck driver. Being a young woman stranded with a broken down car, you get a little wary of who is going to come save the day. Had I not had someone waiting with me each time to drive me to my destination, I would have had no hesitations about riding in the truck with him. He took GREAT care to make sure my car was on the truck right, gave me advice on what the issue in my car could be thanks to his knowledge of Volkswagens, put me at ease, and really cheered me up when I was visibly stressed about my car. He even recommended a mechanic for me that is close to where I work and specializes in Volkswagens. Izzy really went above and beyond for me all 3 times, my only disappointment is that we can't clone humans yet because every company should have a fleet of Izzy's on dispatch. Thank you to Izzy and to Art's Towing, I now know who I will recommend and use for any towing in the future. read more

I submitted a review of Arts a while back but it was correctly removed because my description appeared not from first hand experience so I have created this review in it's place. Based on my first and only dealings I feel it is important to give my review. A few years ago my Land Rover cooling fan broke apart puncturing my radiator at a friends house in Milford. I called AAA and they sent a driver from Arts to the location to pick up my vehicle. After about a hour I get a call from the Art's driver. He tells me that he can't take my vehicle on his flatbed because it's leaking coolant. I told him that's crazy...how can you offer tow service and not take a car that's leaking fluids! After we went back and forth for a few seconds he says he can take my vehicle for a hundred dollars cash. I told him that I called AAA and this is extortion and threatened to call AAA about this. I called AAA and asked for Ned's tow service in the next town and they came and picked up my vehicle. I kept Ned's tow service on mobile phone book just in case I ever break down in that area again. I has been a few years since my dealing with Art's but I would watch out for them. read more

I called them this morning for a tow from my house to the mechanic shop, the woman on the phone was super nice, and told me it would take about 30 mins. 30 mins later, here's the truck! The guy driving knew exactly what to do, and was training another guy who did an awesome job. The lead worker was Damian, and he was awesome. Then, I realized he was the same guy who helped me out of a snow bank on 495 last winter when we had that crazy storm! I remembered him because he was wicked cute and extra nice. Love it! read more

I called AAA to get my motorcycle towed. First I was told that a truck was on its way. Then someone from Arts called and said they were in the middle of a shift change and they would call me back in a few with an updated eta. After an hour I called and was told the driver just showed up and should be on the road shortly and should be to me in about 20 minutes.After another hour I got a call being that Arts didn't have the equipment to tow my bike. They could have told me 2 hours earlier and save me some time. I have a hard time believing that because I've used this company several times before to tow my company vehicles. My car was towed because I had an old parking sticker of my apartment building and I tried to explain that I was moving and getting a new sticker would be pointless at this time. They were very rude to me on the phone, didn't listen to what I had to say and have left me stranded without a vehicle and demanded that I pay up or else. Terrible, just terrible service... I do my repairs at Granite Gulf, which happens to have the same owner as Art's Towing, Brad Kaye. Brad's standard of good service goes across both of his businesses, and occasionally Granite Gulf has used Art's mechanics on my cars...... but any time I need a tow, I always call Art's right after I call AAA and ask them to pick up my tow from AAA's system before another tow company does, because frankly I much prefer Art's over anyone else. They're courteous and quick and take proper care of my vehicle when loading it on the truck. I also do my inspection stickers at Art's. read more

I slid off the highway during the snowstorm so I had a state police behind me while we waited for the tow truck although the two young guys were nice enough I believe they try to take shortcuts on getting my car over a snowbank. At this time another Mass work I had stopped by with a shovel and I ask the tow guys don't we need to get that snow bank out of there before you pull the car and they insisted it wasn't necessary the state police the mass got worker told me to let the guys do they work they know what they're doing I was willing to shovel the snow bank myself it would have taken maybe five minutes， they were not able to pull the car over the snowbank. so they wasted time and then they tried it again this time they took their time to remove the snow Bank first and finally got the car out however this took time resulting in an additional $50. read more

I had a medical emergency on rte 495. after being vaccinated at Gillette. I was taken away by ambulance, the Mass. State Police informed the ambulance driver that my jeep was going to be towed to Arts. I recovered in the hospital took a taxi to Arts at 7:00PM in the dark. I paid the tow bill and storage for 5 hours $168, I get that. What I am unhappy about Arts, I was discharged from the hospital, took a taxi to Arts. Arts gave me my keys and told to me to go into their back junkyard to find my car, click my keys to find it. Is what the maskless guy said. In the dark I stumbled around potholes to find my car. I was in tears my the time I got to my car, at the back corner. I had told the maskless clerk at the desk what had happened, he just kept asking me if I was in accident, no. I said. I would expect at these rates my jeep should have brought to me, or close, not for me to wander around their parking lot to find my car. I tried Arts web page contact link to share with them, was not enabled. I'm a volunteer food delivery worker to families in need. I deliver in their houses, that's why I was getting vaccinated, I'm 63 years young,. I'm going to contact the State Police next, as they yelled in the ambulance we are going to tow your Jeep to Arts, I barely heard that. I was out of it.. So bad scene all around. read more

My daughter driving my car on 495 S at 10:30 PM got a flat tire and did manage to pull over near a tow truck already pulled over along side of a police officer. My daughter asked for help and said she had AAA but was told by the cop that a force tow had to be done because where they were pulled over was unsafe, Without a choice, Art's tow truck was putting the car on their flat bed and when my daughter got in the tow truck and they started to drive away the tow driver turned and told her she needed to give him $185.00 cash to get to exit 19, she told him she had no money and to please drop her off at the next exit and she would call AAA. He then pulled off at the very next exit, pulled into a Cumberland farm parking lot and told her; "You have two minutes, give me the cash or get out of the truck" She felt scared and threatened and called me on her cell phone where I asked to speak with the driver. He took the phone and I asked him if I could give a credit card over the phone, he said; "No, cash only, pick her up at, he mumbled a street I did not understand, gave my daughter her phone and started to pull away. Feeling like this rude guy was stealing our car she asked his name and for a business card and he said nope, and drove away. She did manage to take a photo of the truck's door, She was stranded and forced to call an Uber. The next day we went to Art's towing and explained again her terrible experience, they said yeah, they have had several complaints about George, and would talk with him, then charged me now $230.00 to get my car out of their lot. Plus I had to pay extra to have them put the spare tube on so we could leave their lot. We felt taken advantage of by Art's towing and they were rude and unprofessional. When experiencing any kind of accident you would hope that the company sent to help would do just that, help, but Art's towing did not, we even sent them an email that night it had happened letting them know what our experience was like and was told, yeah we got the email. But no apology was given for their treatment. I would never recommend anyone use this company and I hope that we never cross their path again. read more

They had no problem towing my lowered car last week, had no problem towing it today when they were going to charge me over $300 to go 20 miles, but when I say never mind and go through triple A they tell them that they can't tow the car. I called Arts back and asked them why they can tow it for $300 but not for triple A and the response I got was "because I can" I've towed this car countless amounts of times with Arts and it's never been a problem until now. snakes and crooks, had my car towed because i was parked in a handicapped spot, 2 hours later i was there picking up my car and the theif charged me $335 to get it out, when i looked at the bill he lied and said it took him 3 hours to get the car on the tow...who is he kidding?..3 days later my other car was towed for no reason at all!! called the police and they told me there is nothing they can do and its a civil matter, came out to be my lanlord towing my cars in retaliation to not paying rent ( which is illegal and am taking them to court for it) but again this time it was $350 and this car was towed within 20 min because i went out to check my mail, and when i came back out to go to work my car was gone! theives read more

There's tear on my seatbelt, which has been there for 6 or 7 years, but the seatbelt is functioning properly. There was no problem with the State Inspection all these years, then I took my car to Art's Auto Service because it was on my way home. They failed my car and told me that there cannot be a tear in the seatbelt, I need a new one, which would cost around $600. I asked what vehicle code states that if there's a tear in the seatbelt even though it's functioning properly, the car will not pass State Inspection. They did print the vehicle code section for me to review, and nowhere in the code section does it state that there cannot be a tear in the seatbelt. All it says is that the seatbelt needs to visible and function properly, which I told them my seatbelt is in compliance and passed State Inspection all these years. Their response was those other guys did not catch it, and they did. Not worth trying to argue with these guys. Lesson learned the hard way...no more Art's Auto Service and I do not recommend it unless you want to pay for unnecessary repairs. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Art's Auto Service. We contacted them on the recommendation of the state trooper who came to the scene. We had had a tire blowout on our truck on 495. To make matters worse, we were towing a horse trailer with a horse in it. AAA unfortunately was taking too long to send someone and we were in a hazardous situation, roadside with a large animal on a very busy highway. The drivers from Art's arrived quickly, and besides being skilled, they could not have been more thoughtful. I didn't get the name of the driver who drove the horsetrailer and horse safely 30 miles to our home, but Steve came with me to purchase new tires for our truck. It was a Sunday, and we had to go to several places to find a place open with tires the size we needed. He would not drop me off until he was sure the place had the correct tires. He was a very kind young man. It was a very fortunate outcome to a very frightening situation. read more

This is the second time I had a long wait with Arts, through AAA. I should be grateful they actually showed up this time! The 1st time, I was with a friend and heading home after a movie. Her car's steering acted up so we pulled off the highway, they refused to come get us as she lived in Ashland and that was too far. the 2nd time was today, Easter Sunday! I was told 50 minutes or less, once the 50 minutes passed they said 30 minutes the driver is 7 miles away. 30 minutes to go 7 miles with no traffic? 30 minutes passed, they then said 20 minutes the driver needs gas. 20 minutes passed, still no truck. Finally after 2 hours and having my children picked up so they could at least eat Easter Dinner with family, they showed up. I got the we just got the call routine, which I knew was a lie since I had called several times. Meanwhile the breakdown ACROSS THE STREET from me, which happened an hour after me, had a truck there before me! They are completely unprofessional, it should be who called 1st and if you say 50 minutes or less then be there then! I will never allow AAA to send them to me again! I don't care how far another company has to come I would prefer them, as I am sure they would still be there faster!! on a side note my driver was nice, once he showed up. read more
