(disclaimer: I am in no way affilliated, related, or personally friends with anybody who works at this shop, nor will I profit in any way from this review or any business they gain from it. I am just a very, very happy customer.) This shop is the best in Ithaca. Don't let the fact that it is new put you off, THIS isTHE PLACE TO GO to get a tattoo in Ithaca. First off, the place is just feels nice when you walk in the door. It is really, really clean. You can tell they take pride in that right as you walk in the door. The chairs are brand new leather tattoo chairs, with all kinds of adjustments so that you are actually comfortable in whatever position the location of your tattoo requires you to be in. Beats the heck out of the dentist chairs, barber chairs , and old-school beat up tattoo chairs you find in most other places. Everything is neat and the workspace is spotless. Next, the guys who work there are awesome. They are real artists, and any time that they aren't doing tattoos, and dealing with customers, they are drawing up new tattoos, and even painting. There are tons of amazing paintings hanging on the walls in beautiful frames that were done by the tattoo artists themselves. The guys are willing to work to get the tattoo exactly the way you want it and not just rush you into the chair to tattoo the first thing they sketch up and take your cash like other places. They are experienced, talented, and I got a sense that they cared about what I wanted and were willing to do several drafts to get it just the way I wanted (without any trace of attitude about redrawing at all (rarer than you might think)). And finally... My tattoo looks awesome and has healed amazingly. It healed better and looks sharper than any of my others, I am very impressed with the small bits and detail work. If you want a place that has these things, go to Artisti Point Tattoo Co. -Nice Decor -Talented Artists -Laid Back Atmosphere -CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN workspace -Versatile artists (not just all one style of tattoo) -Comfortable Experience (and chairs) I find that a lot of tattoo shops, especially in college towns are very impersonal, often sloppy and messy (the tattoos and the actual workspaces). The employees don't get engaged in their work and seem indifferent about your business. They are decorated poorly and cheaply, which is cool in its own way, but this place is a true, dead to rights, classy, artistic, awesome shop. --If you don't know what I mean, just walk in and you will understand. It's awesome in there, just awesome. The work they do is 5 star and you simply won't find a better atmosphere. read more

Excellent all around! The pictures are after six months of healing. And the way it healed, it shows how well these tattooers know their craft. (Lower back, partially on the side.) I came in November with some digital sketches I made for the tattoo I wanted. Nate and Dave there helped me for several weeks whenever I would pop back in, just to help tweak my design to be more tattoo-friendly -- make this part hazier, bring out the smile wider to see it from a distance, stylize the tree for a more interesting piece, etc. They gave me real solid points, all the while being really patient and supportive of my participation in the artwork process. After some time I got it done in two quick 2-hour sessions with Dave. The price for the time is well worth the final product! I'm really pleased with how it turned out, considering I went in with a pretty well defined sketch of what I wanted that I thought was great, with which Dave worked with to create a professional detailed, colored sketch that completely blew my expectations out of the ballpark. He's certainly got an eye for tattooing. I'm happy with the way he incorporated my original ideas while giving it his own spin to be a neater tattoo. Really, the part of the experience I loved the most was working with them to develop the artwork. They never pressured me to take it any particular direction, nor stamped an expiration date for when I'd stop popping in to tweak the work. It really was a great experience. I've already got an idea in mind for my next tattoo at this spot, as soon as this pandemic blows over. read more

Ron did an amazing job covering up a tattoo, that another artist had botched. After talking with him, he knew exactly what I wanted, with little help from myself. He did an incredible job turning my unpleasant tattoo, into something beautiful. I couldn't ask for a more compassionate artist, who clearly knows and loves what he is doing. The studio itself was pretty kick ass, and has a very comforting feel. Everyone is very laid back and open. If you are looking for a shop, that's going to be honest and do a great job, then this is the best place to go. read more

Every single time I've gotten a tattoo from Ron (3 times I think?) he has talked to me about his horrible politics. I kept going back because I kept convincing myself "there's no way this dude is going to complain about kids who ask people to use certain pronouns for them again" and every time I was proved wrong. I just want to get my tattoo and not listen to some privileged white dude's horrible takes on the politics of oppressed people or about the huge boner he has for Joe Rogan. Good artist, not worth his disagreement with me as a person. read more

Just got home from getting some work done by Nate. I'm super happy with the tattoo so far. Did the outline for the first session. Nate is great, he thinks about the big picture and the client. Since my skin was a bit sensitive he suggested breaking up the tattoo into multiple sessions. Nate also took the time to figure out the design and re-design it until I was happy. High quality work and a high quality shop. Can't wait to get this tattoo finished up. 10/10 recommend. Looking forward to more work in the future as well read more

Highly recommended. I was visiting Ithaca and stopped in at Artistic Point. Nate is a total professional and excellent artist who takes his craft seriously. I had a basic idea in mind and he created something that was better than what I envisioned. It's no wonder that, during the short time I was in the shop, a few return customers came in to discuss more tattoos. I would certainly go back to Artistic Point the next time I'm in town and would even make the trip to Ithaca just to do so. read more

This place is amazing! After searching for ages to find the perfect tattoo parlor, my friend and I came across these guys accidentally! But it is probably the best accident to have happened! My husband and I received tattoos from Nate this summer. We are very pleased with the outcome!!! The staff is friendly. Nate went out of his way to answer any questions about the process. His work is custom and professional. Instructions for after care were gone over several times with each visit. We have been there several times each and wouldn't think of going to anyone else for a tattoo. We both highly recommend Nate!! read more

Ron, Nate, and Dave are all fantastic charismatic people who made the process of getting my first tattoo a wonderful experience. After looking at all of their portfolios, Ron and I worked together on a design I wanted and was able to get it done just two days after! Super clean, super friendly, great music taste, and overall a good time. Highly recommend these guys, they know their art and they know it proudly. read more
