He was very responsive and no-nonsense when it came to designing a kitchen that met our needs, but was also affordable. His quote was very reasonable and got us the exactly what we wanted in our kitchen redesign. The other great thing about Mike and his team is that his suppliers are extremely quick. While other companies were trying to pencil us in 6 months down the road, Mike was able to get cabinets ordered and the project started within a couple of weeks. He also did his best to get the entire project done within 2-3 weeks of starting which was only delayed to get code inspections done since we were moving a gas line. Super impressed with Mike and his team. They came early and worked late to get the job done right. Mike was available and accessible throughout to voice any concerns which he would address quickly. We took a chance with Top Master and am super glad we did. Since our kitchen reno, two friends that saw the woek first hand have also used Mike to renovate their kitchens. It was a generally good experience working with Factotum (this company is a special partner with…read moreFloor and Decor where you shop for tiles): excellent communication before project began (so-so communication after project started); professional, knowledgeable about all things tiles; wore uniform and masks all the time; on time arrival for work each morning; courteous (telling us they were off to lunch break, etc.); detail oriented (always asking us about details before installing something, such as the orientation of the patterns on the tiles, which types of tiles to install where, etc). The best part: The representative met up with us in Floor and Decor and shopped for tiles with us (like concierge service!); his knowledge about types of tiles was super helpful. Clarity and excellent communication before project began. The worst part: communication (responsiveness / accuracy) really deteriorated after the project started. We had to call, text message and chase down one of them (our project manager was almost missing in action) for questions big or small. The demolition was primarily just one day (first day). They took out the toilet and the shower lever and shower head. They had to take out the bathtub as well at a later stage. They stripped all the tiles. The crew piled up all the tiles and raw material neatly on the floor of our apartment near the entrance, taking up only reasonable space (we still work from home and live here 24/7, so we appreciate their keeping the job site and the pile of material neat). They kept work area and generally our condo clean during both demolition and installation phases were; tidy and neat; they clean up before leaving the job site every day. They protected our floor. The representative (or project manager) who did the measurements, gave us the quote, and was our point of contact was good, though he overpromised and under-delivered on some items: he said they could complete the renovation of our master bathroom within 7 working days (reality: 2 weeks!); he said the crew would work on Saturdays (nope: Mondays to Fridays only); he said the crew would bring the wax ring to re-install our toilet (hope, we had to run to Home Depot to buy it on the day of; wish there's some advance notice); and he said his crew can install frameless glass shower door (as advertised in Floor and Decor; but they did refund us the $450, labor, for glass installation), but nope: they refused to do it because of lack of experience (we had to get a quote and sign a contract with a separate company in the end, wasting precious time). Unpleasant surprise: We had "splasher" tiles at the bottom of the walls (floor was tile, and some tile 'grew' upwards around the bottom of the walls). We did not have base boards. They tore all this out of course before installing new tiles. However, we were told very late in the project that we now needed 7" baseboards to fully cover up the unsightly tears on the wall. This is very hard to find. Impossible! We went to Home Depot, and wasted so much time there. They only sold 5" baseboards (The standard). We bought the widest we could find. Wrong! The crew said it's still not enough. In the end, the crew went and bought the correct base boards (actually two combined to reach the correct height). All's well that ended well, but we wish the project manager communicated all this earlier and more accurately. We often scrambled at the last minute. Every day brought new crises. It didn't have to be this way. This being a condo, initially the crew were planning on cutting the tiles (a messy, dusty, noisy process) outside. We don't have a balcony sadly. So the only place possible would be the garage downstairs. That would have dragged on our project even longer. In the end they found a way to fit their tools in our bathroom and did all the cutting in there (very noisy; so much dust throughout the apartment beyond the bathroom, but worth the shorter project timeline).

The initial response time and set up were prompt. The correspondence from set up though customer…read moreservice rep Jasmine was exceptional. The person who did measurements was very precise. However, the installation was worse than horrible. The two technicians took a very long time for installation, stated the sink would be installed by another technician and left it unassembled. I had to call a plumber to take a look at the damages and repair since we went without a functional sink for 2 days. There were stains on the stainless steel sink from the chemicals used to coat the counters that are not removable. One of my kitchen cabinet drawer was found broken and did not roll open and close as it was prior, they forced the drawer back in and damaged the rollers. When I reached out to the company to report these issues, they were going to send the same technicians who caused the damages for repair! I declined and sought professionals to fix these damages, amounting to $1,089- this is in addition to the countertop bill. The damages from install were permanent and the reason for my one star rating. This was a property I am selling. For my next home, I would pay more for better installation service from the get-go so I do not have to endure the headache of fixing damages from the countertop installation.

The first renovation was a guest bathroom that we hired Solomon and his team to renovate two years ago. They did a great job. This project was much larger and included gutting our original (1969) master bathroom, moving fixtures and walls, and creating a walk-in closet from the bedroom next to the bathroom. After receiving proposals from 4 different companies, we chose to go with Image. They were not the lowest nor highest price, but we were comfortable with them and knew that the work would be done right. It was. Solomon and the Project Manager, Mr. Fikri, were amazing. Every step of the way they made sure everything was going right, according to the plan. Any questions that came up and decisions that needed to be made they were thorough, fair, reasonable and always had great ideas. The communication was great. We knew exactly when Mr. Fikri and his team would arrive to work and they did. The master bathroom is now a beautiful focal point of our home with a state of the art glass enclosed shower, a water closet, heated floors in the bathroom, and a magazine quality walk in closet. Two months later my wife and I still feel like we live in a hotel. During a recent home improvement project to install hardwood flooring, I removed the laminate…read moreflooring that was already in place. Upon removal, I noticed that the stairs were not only badly damaged (from a previous owner's work), but were failing in multiple areas when accessed underneath. This was no longer a home improvement project, but now became a safety issue. I contacted Jonathan on a Tuesday afternoon letting him know that we had a staircase that was in need of repair. I reached out to 10 companies (that listed on their Yelp reviews that they offered carpentry) requesting a carpenter or carpentry skills, but only Jonathan and another company indicated that they could repair stairs that were damaged and in need of repair. The other company was not as responsive and indicated that they were fully booked through the summer, and that they didn't have the time. After texting and calling Jonathan throughout the day Tuesday, Jonathan indicated that he would come out the following morning to assess the damage with one of his highly skilled employees. Jonathan and his skilled carpenter were timely and direct in what needed addressed. He indicated that we would replace 10 of the 13 treads, and that they would reinforce all of the stairs underneath with 2x4's and other materials. Jonathan and his skilled carpenter were not only efficient, timely, and responsive, but the quality exceeded all expectations. Jonathan's carpenter worked nonstop Wednesday (not even a break!) and finished ahead of schedule on Thursday. The high quality work was much more than we had anticipated, and the price was reasonable (considering the urgency and timing). I highly recommend Jonathan and his company. We plan to use them for improvements and projects. Top Notch!

The project took about 2-3 months due to black custom cabinetry which took 2 months to receive (attributed to COVID) or the project would've taken a month. The guys came in to provide a no pressure estimate and they weren't priced too high or low which is generally a good sign. I always avoid contractors who provide too cheap a price or shoot for the moon (#GME). All in all, I've asked them for an estimate on my bathrooms after being so impressed with their 1) responsiveness 2) craftsmanship 3) attention to details and lastly 4) honesty As one example, one part of the counter top install there was a slight ridge which the guys noticed. The sub contractors attempt to install countertops wasn't perfect and I could barely tell but Kelvin/Jose held the subcontractor responsible to replace the piece. They removed a wall which wasn't load bearing, but we decided to install a 23' beam to be safe. Installed cabinets, enclosed the refrigerator, moved the sink into the corner and added waterfall countertops to the entire "island" area. Pictures speak for their craftsmanship. Highly recommend Jose and Kelvin for you remodel needs!!

We actually had great rapport during the project, but lying to…read moreus afterwards by saying your company went out of business and that we had to pay the new company a new fee to repair this wiring issue that should have been under warranty, was beyond forgivable. Clearly, the same company still exists! You came out, did a test and said it didn't work anymore, then told us these things usually stop working and have to be replaced and you'd have to buy more lights and reinstall. What?? Seriously? I don't know who you've scammed with that lie in the past, but we're not that stupid. Thats three very serious lies right after we spent over $20K on remodeling. If you try to gas light me again, I'll start dropping images of the entire project showing all the shotty work, our contract, and the text messages where you lied to us saying Jake Premium Renovations went out of business. This was a no-brainer for any company. You could have just adjusted the poorly installed wiring and it would be no big deal. We would have ignored the poor craftsmanship and moved on... but you got greedy. I'm beyond offended by your work ethic. FYI...Your yelp review reply where you denied working for us makes four serious lies. If it goes to five I'm calling the better business bureau, and I will be monitoring this yelp review.
