Husband and wife practice, who put on their best face at first obviously and then they show their true colors ...they're just milking their patients for more money. (Especially for things not covered my insurance) The husband runs this practice 100% and has started trying to implement Sleep Apnea protocols for his patients + new patients. Even if your a new patient who DOES NOT want it, you have to get a 3Dscan and he will tell you all about your throat and airways and how your sleeping, really trying to SELL IT to you, and make you feel like he knows what he's talking . Thank god I'm not oblivious / gullible and I can see through all that. The whole time I was wondering why I didn't just chose an office who would do my normal exam and talk to me about my teeth. However, this is a dental office, a GENERAL dental office....NOT an Ear, Nose, and Throat DOCTOR. Will not be returning, I will get a dentist who STICKS TO DENTAL!! and doesnt care about getting ahead with $$$$$ only. read more

Dr. Tuesta took over this business from Dr. Turner in Jan 2011. Since then Dr. Tuesta has filled a cavity and given me a crown. Early on there were some normal speed bumps that one would expect as Dr. Tuesta was getting settled in and used to his new staff. His work is ever improving and he is a great, reliable, and professional dentist. I was skeptical of a young dentist replacing Dr. Turner - a veteran - but have been pleasantly surprised. Dr. Tuesta and his team take care of patients both young and old! His staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding. Dr. Tuesta is a master at what he does.I had a a veneer reattached incorrectly and Dr Tuesta was able to reattach a new veneer with %100 accuracy and color match. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I have had veneers remade before and have never had them done with such incredible expertise and perfect color match. i had my wisdom teeth pulled here and in one of my gums was left a pretty sizable chip of tooth which i pulled out completely today with tweezers. 3/8" long. It had started poking out of my gum a week ago, extracting on its own. I had my wisdom teeth out 6 months ago. I had thought that this particular gum was just taking longer than the rest to heal....I was left with a weirdish swollen area next to the extraction ever since. I was on vacation in monterey so I left soon afterwards. Found another dental surgeon to take a look at it and he said everything was fine, not really seeming to listen to me very intently..... as most doctors seem to do...is it because I'm young?? I went to Dr.Tuesta's office for a coule of years, after he bought the dental business rom Dr. Turner. Happy with his work... although his staff member "Nora" was a real pain in the (you know). She called to confirm an appointment ($600.00 crown base) at 5:00 P.M. the day before the appointment. I had forgotten to cancel the appointment previously because I was very busy that week. I was going to cancel because of lack of funds only. When I told her I was sorry, but didn't have the funds available for the appointment she got really angry with me. She raised her voice at me, and started calling me "Irresponsible". I asked why she waited so late to call to confirm (5:00 P.M.) and she said "not to tell her what time to call, and that they were going to stop calling patients altogether and just use Email reminders"). I told her I din't think that was a good idea, and things escalated from there. I said I would go to the apointment if she let me pay the 600.00 later on. She refused this- and started saying "You always do this" a out and out lie. I always cancelled ahead of time, this was a fluke. After this very nasty conversation with Nora- I was thrown out of the practice. I was shocked, and called Dr,Tuesta personally and left him a pleading message to hear my side of the story. No response. I begged the office manager Karen (whom I'd had a great relationship with previously) to let me stay n the practice. I wasn't able to and had to find a new dentist! inspite of the fact that my boyfriend and I had spent 5,000.00 that year at the practice. No one heard the conversation between Nora and I- but I neve swore at her, or did anything bad enough to be tossed out of the pratice like garbage. I felt betrayed and shocked.... I'll never know what she told Dr. Tuesta, but I do know that she was way too emotional and attacking for a dental assistant!!!! read more

The Tuestas are so nice and have done amazing work with my teeth. I used to go to a more expensive dentist in Carmel and always left in pain. A big thumbs up to whoever hired Maureen. She is a the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth and she was amazing. She is definitely more experienced than some of the younger hygienists. Anyone who hates getting their teeth cleaned should go to her. read more

I came to Dr. Trischa Tuesta to fix and replace several fillings I had done years back from a terrible dentist. I can honestly say she is the best dentist I've ever been to! You can tell she really cares about her patients and keeps you as comfortable as possible, even offering an ipod for you to listen to while she works and gives you a Jamba Juice card at the end of your visit. I mean, come on who does that? I was so shocked at the end of each visit at how painless everything ended up being considering how much work I had done. She is also very thorough, answering any questions or concerns I had, making sure the fillings were not too tall and keeping me up to date, even while she worked. She and her staff are always so kind and willing to accommodate my hectic schedule (especially Nora at the front desk). I have never been seen by her husband Enrique, but have heard great things about him too! Take it from someone who has had bad dental work, you're in good hands with Dr. Trischa Tuesta! read more

I had very bad experience with Artise Dental group. The first visit was good because they are going to attract patients. I even recommended them to my friends and colleagues. But they show their real faces soon; when I was not happy with their jobs. It is very sad when you see the unprofessional staffs treat you like dirt. She did not let me finish my sentence when I was asking question regarding unclear payment charge, and she hung up on me. That was rude and insulting. You can't pretend to care about the patient without any bedside manner, when there is no way to talk with the doctor. I had to ask my insurance agent to call them for explanation because they hung up on me and I was left with no answers. I felt totally confused and insulted. Now, I have other dentist who I can directly email her, or talk to her when I need it. We are not just tools for doctors to get rich, we are also human and we deserve to be treated with respect and empathy from the beginning to the very end of the treatment. I have never been so insulted in my life ! Dr.Tuesta fired me as a patient because of missed appointments. I let them know at the office I have been ill for six months. It is hard to get anything done when you can't even get out of bed. My husband got new insurance that doesn't cover dental but I am fortunate enough that I could easily pay out of pocket...A fact they obviously were not aware of !!! He sent me to get my tooth pulled and I was ready to get my replacement crown . My husband sent in the payment for my crown the day before they fired me as a patient. He is a fairly good dentist but there are plenty of good dentists in the area ! There office staff use to be wonderful and I felt at home when I walked in . The receptionist that was the kindest, sweetest person ever met . When she left she took the heart out of his business. The dental hygienist are wonderful and sweet and I will miss them read more

I was referred to Dr. Tuesta by 4 very close friends. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the front office staff and Mrs. Dr. Tuesta , she was kind and gentle. However after explaining in writing prior to my visit and verbally that I was terrified of dentists the other staff just did not care. If you want to feel like a 3rd class citizen on the titanic I recommend this office for sure. Their hygienists and assistants are rude, crass and will basically tell you hands down that you are worthless and to just open your wallet. I felt so horrible after my first visit that I WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO GO BACK FOR ROUND TWO ,! just could not get enough disrespect so I went back to have a procedure done I did not even agree to doing! the assistant got an awful attitude with me and lead me back up front, where thankfully the front desk makes you feel somewhat human. I would return if I knew I would be treated like a paying customer with insurance ( which I have) and give me the common respect and decency I feel I deserve, I am not a piece of trash on the side of the street ( in which they will do their very best to make you feel like). I cannot say enough good things about this dentist. First, the front desk staff is so polite and friendly and they even sit down with you after you leave to go over with you about your next appointment and cost, etc. Also, in the waiting room, there is a Kureg coffee maker to make yourself a cup of coffee before or after your appointment. Once I was brought into the back, I cannot express how clean and comfortable the atmosphere is. Everyone is smiling and happy. I met the dentist and he is so friendly and easy to talk to. Their equipment is very high tech and they even took pictures of my teeth with a little camera! which my teeth did not look very pretty that close up with that many pixels! But still, the technology is cool! About a week later, I received a Thank You note from the hygienist, what a sweetheart! Amazing people! They also hand out a cool pen, great lip balm and a referral card that gives you $25.00 off if you refer a friend or family member. Well worth it I think. read more

Incredible...this is without a doubt the finest office I have ever gone to. Although not a pediatric dentist Dr. Tuesta has a way with children, and the complicated procedures performed on my son were masterfully done and virtually pain free. The staff too is friendly, reassuring, and supremely competent, and the office itself has multiple windows and is bright and sunny.
